There is an episode in Bones, where they found two twins who were buried alive. Later, they found out that one of them committed suicide so the other one could have more oxygen.

Let's make it about twinyards.

(By the way I made this fucking shit while I was half attending class so, sorry if this is the most horrific thing you read today :))

Aaron didn't move.

Finally, Andrew looked back. He regretted immediately, Aaron's eyes were filled with an unknown emotion between horrified, terrified, and sad. So sad.

"Explain"

"Today's practice. Legal. They found two kids. Just the skeletons.They had been buried alive. " There was a silence before Aaron took courage again. "We found out who they were. Two missing brothers. Well, twins"

Andrew raised an eyebrow it wasn't usual, but surely his brother didn't see them in every fucking twin he encountered with

Aaron breathing hardened.

"One of them killed himself before the lack of oxygen could." Aaron looked away."So the other one had more time"

The silence felt heavy once those words were spoken. But the pained look Aaron gave Andrew was so much worse.

"You have to promise me. You have to promise me that if we somehow get into that kind of shit you won't do it"

Andrew rolled his eyes

"I promise you if we ever got buried alive, I won't kill miself"

Aaron breathed again.

It was kind of funny, though, how Andrew hadn't made Aaron make that same promise.

At the time, making that promise had felt kind of stupid, but as he saw his brother's last smile, he knew it was too late.

Neil and Andrew basically bully each other into going to the dentist. They get through their consultations just fine and turns out they'll both need fillings along with the normal cleanings. Neil is surprisingly okay with the idea of getting his done, but Andrew is completely refusing. He won't go to his filling appointment. People numbing and drilling in his mouth? Absolutely not. Neil keeps trying to bribe the staff to let him in the room even though he's not a relative, but he has no success. Neil eventually sighs and asks Aaron if he's willing to sit in on Andrew's appointment. Aaron begrudgingly agrees (because deep down he loves his brother and wants him healthy). Andrew accepts and he gets through the appointment by glaring daggers at Aaron from between the dentists' arms (and by Aaron's comforting hand on his ankle).

to match my headcanon that nicky is the one that cut their hairs, they have the same hair lenght, but andrew sometimes uses his hair to the side, also made them with some matching piercings but in opposite sides, because i think it's wholesome

(yes, aaron is wearing kevin's jacket, i love kevaaron too much to not draw something related to them. thought about making andrew with neil's jacket, but liked his all black style more)

What if after graduation Aaron is still afraid Andrew would let him go just like he was supposed to with their deal on?

(this is now a mini fic I guess cause I'm bored)

The truth is, Aaron is afraid. 

The past years have been good, have been more than good. Andrew hasn’t threatened Kate since the day they broke their deal. They talk now. Bee has everything to do with it, of course, but Aaron wants to keep this.

And right now, he doesn’t know if he could. 

He’s always had the feeling that even though Andrew broke their deal, he never truly let go of it. They stick together until graduation, and then Aaron can fuck off, that’s what they agreed on. Andrew gets to let Aaron go.

Graduation is behind them, and today, each of them will get into a different car and drive to a different destination, and that’s that.

There's a pinch in Aaron's stomach and the air is heavy in his lungs. Because what if? What if that's the end of it? Just like Andrew had said.

Aaron knew he'd find Andrew on the roof. Somehow. Call it a twin bond or whatever. Andrew is alone and for once, Aaron thinks that maybe Josten isn’t that fucking stupid. He probably left Andrew alone so Aaron could be here, instead. Whatever. He still doesn’t like the asshole.

Andrew barely makes a move to look at him when Aaron walks through the roof door. Typical. Aaron has learned a long time ago to not mind his brother’s lack of reaction. He sits on the edge and clutches his cup of coffee, staring at the distance.

He’s not entirely sure if he came here to talk but even if he did, words aren’t coming to him now. So instead, he just sits there and says nothing.

Andrew pulls one last drag of his cigarette and throws it off the roof.

"Katelyn driving?" Andrew finally says.

Katelyn. Not the cheerleader. Aaron takes the olive branch. "Yeah. We’ll switch. It’s gonna be fine."

"It better," Andrew says and stares into the distance.

"Josten coming with?" Aaron says.

Andrew hums.

The shift in Andrew’s neutral demeanor is immediate at the mention of Josten’s name. It always has been, and some days Aaron can’t believe he missed it all that time ago when Andrew started messing around with the redhead idiot.

But today, he doesn’t want to talk about Josten. They have two more hours before they leave and Aaron knows this is it. This is the last time they spend so much time together.

Then Andrew is moving to Atlanta and Aaron is going to New York, and they would be thrown into entirely different worlds. Worlds where they’re no longer a part of each other’s life.

Worlds where they text on holidays but never talk, where Aaron no longer has his brother.

"Stop thinking so hard, you'll hurt your head," Andrew says.

It's always been infuriating how well Andrew could read him, even more so now. But Aaron has nothing to lose, nothing to hold back for.

"So, that's it then," he says.

Andrew looks at him and doesn't say anything for a long moment.

"Make a new deal with me," Andrew finally says.

Aaron's heart makes a leap in his chest. "What deal?"

Andrew pulls out another cigarette and lights it. He takes his time and Aaron's imagination plays all sorts of fucked up scenarios.

"The deal is... we don't need one."

Aaron blinks. "What?"

"We don't need a deal. We call. We visit. Because we want to and not for a deal we made."

Relief floods through Aaron in a sickly-sweet wave.

"You mean that?"

Andrew hums. "We stick together."

Aaron lets himself smile. "We stick together," he repeats and the fear's finally gone.

ISO Ao3 AFTG AU Fanfic

I thought I had it bookmarked but can’t seem to find it. If it got deleted I’ll be devastated!

In this fic Nicky takes in the twins when they’re just babies and it just follows his journey of raising them.

At one point when Nicky is beaten outside of Eden’s he has to spend the night in the hospital. The twins are still young and don’t understand why Nicky is not home to tuck them into bed and call him crying which breaks his heart.

Erik is actually in the states for something and he and Nicky start dating so Erik helps him out during all this.

I can’t remember why but CPS gets called and the twins are taken away from Nicky which he obviously freaks out and breaks down over. Some of the other foxes are present and try to help him through it.

The twins are split up in the system and cause chaos because of it. One of the twins actually runs away and calls Nicky and even though he’s not supposed to he obviously drops everything to go get his kid! Eventually everything works out and he gets the twins back.

Those are just a couple of the main points that I can remember but no specific search tag has gotten me anywhere. Ao3 is the only site I use for fanfic so I’m positive it was on there. I just really really hope it didn’t get deleted for some reason. I loved that fic with all my heart!!

“I want to find our father.” Andrew says simply.

To say that Aaron is surprised is an understatement. He doesn’t really react at first. He just sort of… stares back at Andrew, uncomprehending. His eyebrows do a funny dance as he squints, and he gestures around the room at nothing in particular before zoning his gaze back on Andrew.

Aaron attempts to form a response, makes a noise, and aborts replying altogether.

“Maybe if you elaborate, Andrew, it will help Aaron form a better understanding of where you’re coming from, and how he feels about it,” Betsy suggests.

Andrew nods and takes a breath.

Aaron looks like someone’s got a hold of his remote control and pressed pause on him. Or like he’s buffering.

“I want to find our father,” Andrew says more confidently this time. “Or, I want to find out who he is, actually. We don’t necessarily have to do anything with the information. We don’t need to meet him – not unless we decide we want to, once we know more about him.”
