You see the problem with trying to talk to ppl abt oni lore is that most ppl who have read the logs are like on tier 3 while I'm on tier 7. And most ppl past that can't match my freak because of tier 6 being such a massive hurdle. - Gotta love Damianos, King of Akielos, looking down at a broken cart and being like “I’m too privileged to know how to fix this” while Lazar and Pallas fuck unsubtly in the background.

- LAMEN. CRYING. 😭😭😭 Laurent really chose Damen’s high school bully nickname.

- Charls is an actual MVP. He took one look at Laurent and understood the assignment. He’s a cousin to the King of Vere now. He is actually a part of the royal family. Ring bearer at the wedding. I don’t make the rules. And the absolute best part about it is that he never fuckin finds out 😂

- Laurent is having the absolute time of his life. He’s sat there TRASHING Nikandros and telling all these Akeilon sluts to cover their arms and accidentally reinventing the cloth trade. What a legend 😂

- The night they spend at the inn is so so significant. Laurent realising that he’s allowed to have desires and finally being asked what he wants. But also the undercurrent of being scared and confused by what turns him on because of his history. Damn I love that his traumatic experiences don’t disappear just because he has Damen now.

- I also need a whole book about their trip through Akeilos - Laurent being too pale and northern for the heat is SO real lol

- Okay so the kid is Kastor’s. I have to admit, I really do appreciate Jokaste and her sacrifices to a certain degree - not the whole degree - but a certain degree.

- Laurent giving himself over for Damen’s sake and the child. Holy shit the symbolism. Damen hearing the Regent confirm what he already kind of knew about Laurent and going apeshit, and Laurent realising he’s defending him. 💔

- And this is why you NEVER cross a mother about the ones she loves - the Regent is being taken down by every child he abused and that is exactly how I wanted him to fall. So satisfying.

- Paschal’s testimony and it all coming together. I ADORE how no character is forgotten or irrelevant once they die. Nicaise, Aimeric and even Govart were significant to the Regent’s downfall. The perfect evidence for the council to acquit Laurent and charge the Regent.

- I have to mention the 11 year old boy and how Laurent protects him when he sees him worry for the Regent upon his execution. He truly doesn’t understand what’s going on and the manipulation runs deep. Laurent broke that cycle of abuse.

- Kastor vs. Damianos - another fight that was always meant to happen and solidified that Kastor cannot be redeemed, even by Damen’s kindness.

- Laurent being the one to kill Kastor was only fitting. He’s fulfilled himself, Auguste, and Damen, and he used something so himself to do it. His wits. I really love that.

- And finally we have two legitimate kings, friends, and lovers. Ruling over two kingdoms that will probably end up one. An absolute perfect ending. ♥️

When you first joined the Pogues, nobody really knew how to take you. Kiara had invited you along one day. You were new to the town, having moved during the summer, and she’d mostly seen you either lounging in your front yard or watching the world pass by out the window. You’d seen her sneak out with her friends more than enough times for her to know that you weren’t going to rat her out any time soon. So, when Kie extended an invite for you to come along to drink and surf at the break, you seemed…impartial. She assumed you wanted to, considering you came along, but you didn’t much smile. You didn’t much talk either. But you got involved: had a few drinks and surfed with the rest of them. Before parting ways, you got her number and a few days later, you texted her, asking when the next hangout was.

One person who seemed to click strangely well with you was JJ. JJ was guarded in his own unique way, but it didn’t make him particularly unapproachable. He’d be up for a laugh or a joke and approaching people didn’t faze him in the slightest You however were sealed watertight. Not even a crowbar could break through your tough exterior. You didn’t talk to people and from the mardy look practically solidified on your face, you didn’t want them to talk to you either.

JJ could make you smile though. You’d almost try to hide it, but he’d see it crack through. The smallest twinge of your lips upturning before you’d glance away. The lift of your cheeks and the loosening of your jaw. When it wasn’t shown on your lips, JJ knew you were smiling through your eyes.

Sarah found it impossible to talk to you. You’d be so disinterested in what she had to say. Or at least, that’s how it seemed.

“She’s like a closed book,” she’d sigh.

“Nah,” JJ shrugged. “You just gotta know how to read her.”

Everybody has their own way of showing affection. You liked the Pogues. Overtime, they understood this. It helped when they realised your acts of service was the way that you showed your love and gratitude. Bringing Sarah her favourite seltzers to the chateau after seeing in the group chat she’d had a bad day. Casually dropping a cool turtle hatching site to Kie in conversation so she could venture out herself and take a look. Bringing Pope the homework whenever he’d miss class and wordless slipping a copy of your notes inside. Tidying up the chateau for John B after everyone had fallen asleep. All this to say, you and JJ were the closet. He reciprocated your acts with his own, and in turn you’d open up, bit by bit.

“This keggar sucks ass,” you mutter. Your arms are crossed over your chest, overtly unapproachable to anybody who didn’t know you.

JJ is stood by your side. He shrugs and takes a swig from his can. “I’ve been to worse.”

“Really? I think I’ve been to funerals more lively than this,” you say.

JJ rolls his eyes mirthfully, smiling.

“Maybe you need to loosen up? Have a dance, huh?”

With that, JJ grabbed one of your hands and makes a move like he’s getting you to salsa with him. You don’t move, don’t even sway. But you don’t pull your hand free: let him waggle your arm around like a lump of rubber, boneless.

“Damn girl, I love your moves,” he whistles.

“Screw off, Maybank,” you grumble. But he sees the twinkle in your eyes: your smile.

Nevertheless, JJ doesn’t push his luck. He lets go of your hand and you instantly miss the warmth of his palm pressed against yours.

“Sorry, pumpkin.”

“Don’t call me that,” you immediately bite. Then, you take his can and have a swig.

“You wanna leave?”

You swallow another mouthful and meet his gaze. “Do you?”

“I don’t mind.”

But you know he does. Can see the itch under his skin to join in with his friends. To have a shot at beer pong and shot gun a beer with John B. You shake your head and pass the can back to him.

“We’ll stay. Maybe I do need to lighten up.”

“Ah! I knew it, I knew it,” JJ chants.

“I said maybe,” you quickly remind. But he’s already grabbing at your hand and pulling you towards the ridiculous stack of coolers.

“You just need some booze to get ya loose,” JJ says.

He ducks into a squat and rummages through. You scan the crowd and see nothing but reckless youth. How do people do it? Become so carefree? They can’t be having as much fun as they look as though they are, surely.

“Whatcha after?” JJ asks with a groan, looking up at you.

“Get me a beer.”

“Ask nicely.”

“No,” you shortly reply. Clearing your throat, you meekly add, “thank you.”

“Well, I tried,” JJ sighs. You’re worried you might have offended him for a moment, but then he’s done riffling through and is pulling out a can of beer, holding it up to you. The condensation drips down the cylinder, over his fingers, bruised and cracked at the knuckles, pink from the cold. You take it before you cans tare at his hands much longer, like some pining creep.

“Thanks,” you quietly say, cracking it open.

JJ makes a point to move in ridiculously close to your mouth with his ear.

“What was that, pumpkin? Didn’t quite catch it?”

“I said thank you,” you gruffly repeat, and then you shove him away by the shoulder and have a drink.

One drink turns to two, three, four…Eight. As the night thrives on and the sky turns darker and darker, people come and go from the keggar: alone, in groups, in pairs. You mostly watch, happy to skulk in the background, but you don’t keep JJ from having a good time. Watching him happy, bouncy, at ease – it brings you happiness. In fact, it turns your night around.

Somewhere near three in the morning, JJ spots you sat on some driftwood. You’re crinkling the can in your hands, seeing how many dents you can make with the pressure of one finger. Someone who didn’t know you might think you’re sulking, but JJ knows that isn’t true. He bounds over, squiffy.

“Lost ya earlier.”

“Didn’t know you were looking for me,” you reply, looking up.

“You wanna leave?”

“Do you?”

The déjà vu from earlier passes over you like the summer breeze brushing against your legs. JJ shrugs.

“I will after a dance.”

“Nope.”

“Yep.”

“JJ, I can’t—”

“—Who cares? Neither can I,” he interrupts. He grabs your hands, unbothered as the empty can you were holding lands with a thud in the sand, and tugs you to your feet. “Come on, there’s hardly anyone here now.”

You sigh and glance around. And it’s true: everyone has either left or are too busy sucking the other’s face off to realise the world around them. With another sigh, you relent. You let JJ tug your hands up and onto one of each of his shoulders, and his find their place around your waist. Then the two of you sway like you’re at an elementary school dance. You rest your head on his chest, tired and relaxed.

“I’m sorry if I was a grump tonight,” you quietly say.

“You’re a grump every night.”

“Not funny,” you whisper.

“Wasn’t meant to be,” JJ returns. You feel his breath on your forehead and you know he’s closer to you than he was before. “You know you don’t have to worry about that kind of thing with me. I like you how you are.”

“Moody and bitchy and tempestuous?”

“I don’t know what the last word means but no, probably. Not moody or bitchy. Just…you.”

You look up at him with that. For some reason, there’s water in your lash line. You blame it on the late hour of the night (or morning, you suppose) and the bite of salt in the air from the sea. He holds your gaze, steady and honest.

“Just me?”

“Mhm,” JJ assures. The dip of his head is quick, as is the fleeting kiss pressed to your lips, but it wasn’t so fast that you can’t be sure that it didn’t happen. Because it did. “Just you, pumpkin.”

“Don’t ruin it, Maybank.”

“You love it really,” he says, flashing you a grin.

You bite back your smile but you know he can see it; it makes his cheeky grin only grow. With that, you hide your face on his warm chest, and with your nose nestled against the soft cotton of his t-shirt, saturated in his cologne, you let yourself smile.

Minghao has become quite the fitness buff within the past few years

I mean look at those guns!!

I remember Minghao once said that it is super hard for him to gain muscle and look at him now ughhh

and seeing you succeed with your fitness goals makes Minghao even more proud

going to the gym is like breathing for you guys

you two always go to the gym together

and since you're with Minghao, every occasion has to be a fashion statement

you two are always wearing the coolest, trendiest, gym clothes that still manage to be uniquely your styles

I want Hokazono-sensei to get all the recognition he deserves, but I also don't want the fandom to explode and become yet another annoying dudebro space. The success of the series is more important though, so I'm happy to see Kagurabachi get so much support. Everyone needs to know about this manga! ANYWAY.

It's Chihiro's turn to have a creepy parasocial admirer now.

Hiruhiko's not doing this just for kicks, however- he deliberately (and successfully) triggered Chihiro to orchestrate his dramatic fall. Given what happened at the end of this chapter, I would not be surprised if Chihiro's literal descent is foreshadowing a metaphorical one of some kind down the line.

And this just breaks my heart:

Chihiro's not built for being a murder bot and it pains him so much to be seen as equivalent to someone like Hiruhiko. But he was taught to see things through and uses his hatred for the Hishaku to keep going. Revenge is probably the only thing he wakes up every day for- he wasn't kidding about that "fresh hatred" line in chapter 1. And neither was Shiba when he said living like this would break him. This kid needs a hug and a safe place to cry out the pain so badly, man...

More than that, though... more than anything...

HIRUHIKO'S THE FUCKIN' ANTI-HAKURI.

"We're equals", he says. "I killed my family", he mentions. "Let's be friends," he asks as he forces his way into Chihiro's life. "I'm the only one who can understand you." The hell you aren't you rat bastard. Hakuri's the one whose soul resonates with Chihiro's. He's the one Chihiro acknowledged as an equal and a friend. BEGONE, FOUL DEMON.

God damn it. Hokazono, I love you for making my most hated villain archetype into a character I want to see more of. I've never understood why playful psychopaths are so beloved but I get it with this guy. Smooth move making him the evil version of my favourite character in all of fiction, Mr. Author. Now I need Hiruhiko and Hakuri to face off over their ideals about who Chihiro really is. It would be the perfect reprise to the Sojo arc! PLEEEEEEASE. There's so much HakuHiro potential in this setup... Hakuri being the one to pull Chihiro forward again would be amazing. But not for his own goals this time- just to help Chihiro as a true friend and partner. Not gonna get too attached to this since it's just one potential development out of many... I won't let myself... (too late).

(Psst... 昼チ or 昼チヒ will probably be the JP ship tag/name for Hiruhiko/Chihiro. Ain't no way Chihiro is the top in this pair for most Japanese fujin lol.)

The Show

The main character of the play's name is Sasuke and Hokazono-sensei is a huge Naruto fan. So much so that he's taken his own spin on Naruto and Sasuke three times now (Enten, Roku no Meiyaku, Kagurabachi). Chihiro is, in fact, his OC donut steel character inspired by the most annoying emo ninja boy ever. I see you, Hokazono-sensei.

The Battle of Soshima might be a made-up title to reference the real historical event The Battle of Tsushima, which fellow Golden Kamuy fans will recognize. At any rate, there aren't any famous Japanese stage plays with the same name, so there's no direct narrative parallels to draw insight from (sad trombone noises). Fortunately for us Hiruhiko is a yapper like I hoped and tells us the plan pretty plainly anyway:

Hiruhiko says the plan to kill Chihiro's not a bluff. But he's not acting like he's intends to make good on that statement. So that means...

Chihiro could be set up to tarnish his father's legacy.

The public doesn't know the true strength or capabilities of the weapons that won the war- they just know that Rokuhira Kunishige made them and they were the key to winning. So Chihiro dropping in on a stage play to splatter the audience with a headless corpse's blood is not a great first impression. He looks downright villainous in this scene. Awesome, but villainous.

The Hishaku are going to metaphorically "kill" Chihiro somehow. For some reason, tormenting this poor guy is absolutely vital to John's plans... it's probably more along the lines of Chihiro being a useful pawn to move around to create conflict they can exploit, but still. They're going to try to break his spirit this arc for sure. Leave Chihiro alone! He's been through enough!

I've got a hell of a lot to say about this but I need some key details from the next few chapters before going off on lunatic tangents. Fuckin' hell though, this is great. This is exactly the type of development I was hoping we'd see after Samura's chapter. Chihiro's committed to the cause of killing the Hishaku, who so far have been wholly unsympathetic villains. But killing is a wrongful act. And this chapter sets up that Chihiro might not be the sympathetic avenging swordsman we love him as in the eyes of the public- he appears to be more of a menace like some of the members of the Kamunabi accused him of. He might be challenged on his murderous modus operandi via a Hishaku-backed smear campaign. Seriously, using Chihiro's brutality against them to ruin his father's legacy would be so evil and cruel. I love it.

We'll be able to count on Shiba and Hakuri to make sure Chihiro doesn't go off the deep end at least. I wouldn't be surprised if Hiyuki played a pivotal role in helping Chihiro out this arc too, but I don't want to commit when we've hardly seen anything of her so far (my spaghetti sovereign... please come back to the main story full-time soon).

Whether or not I'm right (I'm not, I never am), Chihiro's murder sprees fueled by Fresh Hatred are going to get looked at in a critical way. High time and I am definitely here for it. Tell me what you've got to say about violent revenge motivated by grief, Hokazono-sensei. You have more space to examine the topic now compared to Farewell! Cherry Boy.

Tonight, there is no ideal place to become wrapped up, no, tonight is a little spot secured for themself outside the camp in the temple of Shar. Here under the long abandoned temple and empty spaces with the echoing scurry of rats from time to time; they are going to see who bends first. A game that now has reached its head.

A grin on your face matches the grin on Astarion's face, tonight it is a battle of words. See who can have the other give into the temptation of flesh. Which to say Astarion is beating you at the game.

That had taken aback Astarion; the cheeky pup behavior he used on you is perfectly executed by your actions and words. His eyes are half shut as you cut your finger to let him get the smallest of tastes, which you leave him with as you draw back your finger leaving him wanting more.

Okay, I need to know what your thoughts are on whether the Ratgrinders (and which members if it's not all of them) will be redeemed or not.

***** pre warning that brennan has bamboozled me thoroughly and I have few coherent thoughts on the mystery at hand other than looking at theories and going "well that's dumb" which I recognize is unhelpful.

I think the Ratgrinders have a large sympathetic element to them as a group that is yet to be revealed. That could be a lot of things, but starting first with the fact that we don't have a clear motivation for why exactly they were xp grinders rather than truly adventuring, what's up with that? To me, it doesn't read as a malicious act against rats, lol. To me, it reads as the 11 year olds afraid to play Minecraft off of peaceful mode, OR the people who think that highschoolers risking their lives to get grades is unfair and scary, OR maybe people who just want to game the system to prove it's unbalanced. Either way, that feels to me like a pretty big piece of the puzzle we're missing, and would give us a better idea of the group.

Additionally, I think the Rat Grinders are, or at least were, friends the way the Bad Kids are, which is another big sympathetic element. Kipperlily points out that they are a parallel to them in the way that they are/were six very different people who found their way to each other. I think their friendship is going to be revealed to be in many ways Exactly like the Bad Kids, closeness and loyalty and all. Maybe Kipperlily isn't a part of that, or she's deceiving them, but how far would the Bad Kids let Riz go down a crazy plan? How much trouble would they have put up with from Kristen if she kept going down the path she was at the start of the year? How much would they do for each other?

All this to say, I don't think we've seen a full view of what the Rat Grinders look like yet. If Lucy was friends with them for almost two years after all, surely there's something more there. That makes all of them to me, again with the arguable exception of Kipperlily, plausible to be redeemed, or revealed to have had decent intentions and turning out to be an ally.

As for more specific, kind of meta-gamey guesses (minimal evidence just vibes):

Oisin feels like a potential good guy or absolutely irredeemable, leaning towards the former. Either he's a Hans, or he doesn't know quite what's going on as exemplified by Kipperlily keeping him out of the loop on the materials smuggling w Aewlyn. I just doubt Brennan would dangle a love interest like that as a villain for Adaine, when her character has had very little romance thus far. It feels both like he knew Siobhan was too smart of a player to take that as bait, and wouldn't want to punish socially anxious Adaine opening up to someone outside of the group. OR he's evil idk this most recent ep was pretty damning.

We've barely seen any of Ivy, but she gives me big "pulling away emotionally from the disaster that is this friend group and bracing for impact" energy. wild shot is that I bet she was one of the closer people to Lucy, and is detached from everything after her death, maybe just going along with KL's plans for the hell of it. Will maybe slink away unscathed but unredeemed.

Ruben is interesting, and I think after KL one of the more involved people in the plot given his involvement in the festival. Could see him being redeemed, think it's more likely he'll go out in a Wanda Childa themed blaze of glory.

Mary Ann I think just loves her friends and is loyal to them. Whether that means she's being manipulated or doesn't even need to be, unclear.

Kipperlily? No fucking clue. I think we're missing a big piece of her and doubt that Brennan would this simply villify a 16 year old girl with so many clear issues. What we're missing? Simply not a clue. She's crazy to me and I love her

As someone who's played over 500 loops in Gnosia, I think the best characters to have on your side overall regardless of role are Otome and Chipie. Setsu is also pretty high up there, but they do tend to draw attention to themself and can be a bit reckless so this semi-frequently gets them in trouble, particularly when they're a gnosia.

Chipie and Otome meanwhile are very good at deflecting negative attention regardless of what side they're on without totally sliding under the radar and suffering the resulting backlash of having a hard time getting people to listen to them and getting talked over (like Remnan and Stella). Like yeah sure Otome isn't great at lying, but her charm is so high that it can cover her very reliably unless you catch her in an irrefutable lie, no one wants to distrust her so she's way less likely to get dogpiled than someone else who's bad at lying like Gina or Comet.

They're both very loyal, basically the only times I ever see them turn on anyone is when it's been made pretty damn obvious that the person they were previously backing up is probably an enemy or they happen to be enemies themselves (I've seen Chipie go to bat for Sha-ming up until Sha-ming was cornered like a rat and all Chipie could do was shrug and admit he was wrong, Chipie my guy he ABSOLUTELY would not do the same for you I'm so sorry), but even then it's rare for them to do it overtly before the end of the round. I mean shit, Otome literally puts herself in cold sleep when she's a bug and that's the easiest betrayal to pull off in the whole game. They're also pretty likely to accept you proposing a team up and they tend to pull their weight and try to be helpful instead of riding your coattails.

When you're gnosia they usually make good suggestions as for who they think you should take out next instead of going with an impulsive decision that will likely come back to bite them (Kukrushka) or feeling like they're picking someone randomly (Shigemichi and Comet) or even like they're trying to trip you up (which occasionally happens with SQ and Sha-ming, mostly because they're mad at me lol), and if you don't go with their suggestion they usually take it pretty well as long as you're otherwise being cooperative.

So yeah having them on your side is always a considerable plus whereas other characters are great in one role and terrible in the other, or they tend to be very middle of the road regardless.

Today's SoTE adventures! Hoooo boy that was awesome!! Too bad I have to interrupt to cook food and stuff but

1) So, I continued going down the road through Mausoleum where I defeated Rakshasa yesterday! But first attempted to snipe the hyppo enemies with a greatbow.. Barely reduced their health because I had whole 8 arrows and 4 of them only served to attract them to snipeable distance 🤡 I'll get them later..... :/

2) I ended up going all the way down! And it was a combo string of me thinking one thing but it was another!! So my objective was to get to that mysterious missing spot on the map. I went all the way down on a small island and saw catacombs, assuming I went to the wrong place because it is caves or mines that can lead to another location entirely, not catacombs! Then I went there in that very dark catacomb and as soon as I saw Fulgurbloom and a big talisman I assumed it was yet another Death catacomb that'd be mirroring previous two but no! Light puzzles and no Death. THEN I assumed 'there is no way the boss is anything but Knight of Death' but NO!!!

IT WAS LIKE, A CLERIC OR SOMETHING (inquisitor actually) THAT WAS REALLY HARD TO BEAT AND KEPT SUMMONING MORE AND MORE OTHER CLERICS LIKE SLIM AND FAT AS GHOSTS AND THEY WERE LIKE HOLDING THAT ONE CANDLESTICK-LIKE SYMBOL AND PILING UP GFGFHGHGB I really wish I took screenshots during the fight but I was too busy getting my ass kicked IT WAS REALLY FUN THOUGH I WON LITERALLY THE LAST SECOND WHAT IN THE DEACONS OF THE DEEP WAS THAT SHIT LOOOOLLLLL

And as if that was all not enough, turned out that WAS an actual way to the new location!! I got that right 😎

3) I however apparently missed at least two secrets in that catacomb.. I saw the ladder that I didn't know how to access, and I didn't understand the deal with an item where that big shooting Imp was. All I got was this:

Gfhgyyggyuyb I already cried a bitter tear of being Seen @ Undestood when Miyazaki managed to squeeze his trademark loathing for those who commit atrocities under belief in their sainthood in a talisman Queelign dropped, but this too.. I have seen what it did with another person, I have experienced this too and honestly I can't be bitter about lolrandom ship choice with Radahn or whatever on Miyazaki's side as long as he sneaks addressing this kind of stuff in his works. • Do you make your bed?: well, I kind of just roll up the quilt/sheets so that it covers the bed but it always looks like shit lol.

• What’s your job?: I have.. a few of them. I do contract graphic design work for a local publishing company, I’m an artist and design my own T shirts/stickers and also do commissions - I love my jobs :> (well aside from the publishing company that one sucks)

• If you could go back to school would you?: Hell no, I hated school 😂 no… I just had undiagnosed adhd and struggled to keep my shit together. I made decent grades bc I always seemed to find a way to finagle things and make it work (mostly), but yeah the only thing I liked about it was meeting my best fren in college.

• Can you parallel park?: Ain’t no way. I’m a good driver for the most part but I can’t parallel park or back up into spaces for love nor money.

• Do you think aliens are real?: I’m positive that in the vast expanse of space there are many other intelligent beings but I don’t think they’re coming to earth. I’ve seen UFO’s multiple times in my life (with other ppl they can back me up lol) but tbh I just think it’s secret human technology that we plebs could not possibly fathom.

• What’s your guilty pleasure?: Good god I should feel guilty about all my pleasures but I reckon it’d be chugging Coke Zero and (7 times out of 10) staying up waaay too late for any responsible adult to be staying up.

• Tattoos?: I have 3, snowflakes on my right ankle (bc I’m a special snowflake but no actually I just really love snow lol), a pair of small wings (that I drew/had tattooed on me when I was 19) on my left shoulder and a garbage heap that was supposed to be the start of a back piece with a spine/roots that was tattooed far too deep (it’s scarred all to hell), crooked and ruined me of ever wanting another tattoo again lol. I wanted to finally tell you about music!!

It’s gonna be a lot of mitski cus she’s one of my main artists I listen to but still,

I thought about “once more to see you” by mitski A LOT throughout RIA and a little bit now through ITF, it fits this part of the story perfectly (in my opinion). It’s literally just zukka through sokka’s pov.

Another one is “Christmas Kids” by ROAR, this one is more for LIAB, and a little bit of RIA, (can you tell I make the edits in my head?) But this time the choruses/verses change pov or can just be seen as multiple characters.

“First Love/Late Spring” by mitski fits zukka through zuko’s pov

And “I bet on loosing dogs” by mitski is Ara with zhao/shen

Now this one is very specific:

“Vampire Empire” by Big Thief

The first verse to the first chorus is LIAB-RIA kataang through aang’s thoughts about katara,

the second verse to the second chorus is zukka LIAB-RIA (and now more recently the current ITF situation) told as per sokka’s pov

And the third verse to the final chorus is how Ara feels about zhao. Like their entire history.
