The Justice League have a problem, one that needs some level of knowledge and expertise of a being from the Infinite Realms to give them a better chance of actually solving this problem.

However.

Every ghost they have summoned, without fail, took one look at Constantine. Squinted (yes, squinted). Then decided to go back to where they came without a word.

This. Would have been useful, nice even. If it was a situation where they needed the summoned being of a cult to head back to where they came without a fight.

But alas, that is not what is happening.

The Justice League, obviously, ask him why the ghosts keep fleeing back to their Realm at the sight of him, but Constantine can't answer because he genuinely has no idea why they keep leaving when getting a proper look at him.

So they keep trying and they do find some success in it. They summoned a boy, most likely older than he physically looks yet it still puts some of them off because of, well.

You know.

A boy with white hair and toxic green eyes. The boy stops short, as if not expecting to be randomly transported to somewhere else, takes a look around the room, then the Justice League. His eyes settle on one person.

Constantine, in particular.

He squints (Why do all of them squint? Nobody knows) and then a sudden looking of realization passes on his face. Different from the looks of vague fear and genuinely want to not involve themselves any further, his face held slight disgust and a heavy amount of disappointment.

Thankfully, he didn't leave immediately after that.

Constantine asks what's with the look on the ghost boy's face, the ghost boy in question squints even further. Stares at Constantine for a moment or two, buries his face in his hands and brings his knees to his hand and groans out.

"He could've done so much better."

uhhh let's see. I combined some sketches I did of Nefertiti and Akhenaten and ended up somewhere here for an Akhenaten design. in my heart, it's for a comic but there's so much visual research I'd have to do before I could even think about approaching a comic. oof.

anyway moving on: Akhenaten was a childhood obsession! and then I moved onto other things, as one does, but then a couple months ago I decided to check out some books and now I have a headache.

#i did outline my ideal high stakes political drama set during this particular dynasty focusing on akhenaten tho #all these historians have been just. straight up saying things about this guy for centuries and while some of it is absolute nonsense #some of the other stuff makes for EXCELLENT political thriller material #especially with the wider table of factions at play like yeah baby i see your father's policy style. i see you. i know what soundtrack #this kind of scene should have #ancient egypt tag #GOD there was a sword and sandals film that had their set design take notes from ancient egypt over ancient greece #and it was SUCH a cool meta narrative esp when you consider Egypt's impact on all the Mediterranean empires #like yes YES if the roman sword and sandal movies had a spine they'd do it too

#shepherds of haven #grgurghei bear with me here #but consider a fic where the game keeps resetting but MC retains their memory of every playthrough they've been through before #groundhog day where they just have to keep reliving everything over and over #they start speedrunning trying to find and make The Choice that breaks them out of the cycle #they romance different people--save Prihine but not Caine--go with Tallys and not Trouble--#but nothing works and they keep waking up that day in the Kinley Traders camp #they also never manage to fall out of love with their canon RO #but even then they still miss “the first one”#the one that they went through everything with the first time #when everything was fresh and new and thrilling and they didn't know the next words that would come out of their beloved's mouth every time #they start playing fast and loose with things because they know they'll just be doing the same thing over again soon enough #like yes it sucks when so-and-so dies but they get inured to it because they'll just do it over again when the whole shebang resets #doesn't matter when the hunters all die of sickness we'll just fix that up next time and no one will be the wiser #but then--during what feels like the thirtieth run of the Quiial mission #Chase or Blade or Ayla or whomever acts just a bit different #they say something they haven't said before #they balk at going through the door like they know what's about to happen #and after some weirdness MC and RO realize they *both* remember #they've been separately running through their own groundhog days--reincarnating over and over #and reliving the same missions and variations and pains and deaths while remembering the first run #but now they've suddenly landed *in the same version of the game*#and suddenly the stakes are wayyyy high again lol #am i insane or is this a cool idea #anyway lol i'd call it something like 'variations on a refrain'#spoilers #heavy #alpha build #alpha preview #random

Bg3 blunt rotation headcanons:

Karlach: does not stop fucking laughing. She’s def wheezing at a joke she overheard in a lesbian bar three and a half years ago while in the middle of a sentence. The type who starts a story and ends up laughing so hard she can’t finish it.

Halsin: mellow as hell, is always encouraging the group to go for a nice walk somewhere while stoned to shit. Will he pass out or will he be caressing the flowers in his backyard? No one knows.

Shadowheart: Sis is asleep after a joint or a few hits from the bong. Is likely sleeping on Lae’zel’s shoulder with a blanket around her. We love her for that tho bc she looks so cute.

Jaheira: she is forreal trying to tell you that we’re all living in someone’s sims save or how aliens made the pyramids. Also always pulls up to the session at the most random times.

Lae’zel: when she does smoke she usually ends up tripping the fuck out and is staring at the wall like a dog that’s accidentally eaten an edible. Doesn’t partake anymore but will come and chill and act as Shart’s personal resting post.

Astarion: the one who is chatting the most shit, probably has the joint in a cigarette holder like curella de’vil. The main source of Karlach’s laughter. Is also constantly asking for Nicki Minaj songs to be added to the Spotify queue.

Wyll: straight up vibes, is probably hogging the snacks to himself tho but he’s busting jokes and laughing with Karlach about stupid shit

Gale: the person in charge of the playlist and the only one who can actually roll. He is very particular about the music bc he believes it sets the mood for the high. Is constantly denying Astarion’s request to play Chun li but puts on random shit like khazakstani jazz

Minthara: enabling Astarion’s shit talking and spilling the piping hot tea. The least faded out of all of them (except lae). Has a screenshot folder that she shows astarion so they can be shady.

Aylin: she’s productive when she’s stoned, is likely cooking something or has gone for a jog/ doing a task while wearing her socks/ Birkenstock combo

Isobel: the mom friend who is making sure everyone is drinking water and is getting fresh air while fried.

Withers: the za dealer. You have to go to his house and he only sells a min of 6gs at a time. Usually chilling and trying to hide his weed plants from the cops bc his neighbours are snitches ngl

Minsc and boo (sry I be forgetting): Brings his hamster to the function bc he doesn't want him to be lonely and believes that his best bud deserves a toke as well. Boo is a literal fucking menace and bites those who object to giving him any. There is literally always an argument bc of this but Minsc is ready to fight for his child.
