The 2023 American Girl Doll of the Year is Kavi Sharma, a South Asian American theatre kid who loves Wicked SO SHE HAS A REPLICA ELPHABA COSTUME. I am absolutely ecstatic that kids get this.

The King and Prince of Itacha have been designed!! PHEW, ODY WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS TO DRAW. And now i'm writing this out out, i realize i keep complaining about how hard they are to design... (Except Telemachus, he was easy to design👌) AND WHILE THEY ARE HARD TO DESIGN, I NEED TO BRING MORE POSITIVE ENERGY!!

This cosplay was so so close to never seeing the light of day, as this was the aforementioned project I rage quit to procrastinate with Nekomancer on haha. I really adored the fionna and cake special (and adventure time in general) and wanted to cosplay from it for eons...although I will admit this project was intended to be "generic blue and silver winter regal outfit for a variety of characters" and it was a toss up on whether or not the first run was going to go to the Winter King/Simon or Jack Frost...but I couldn't find my jack frost wig so here we are!

This was my first time working a lot with velvet and low key....I loved it and would love to use it more.

Probably won't get around to designing those. It's funny to think that these girls in their 50s would be, like, living in the 1960s. They'd be watching us land on the moon (much to Luna's distaste). With luck, the main six would survive to watch Star Wars and Back to the Future in theaters. How wacky is that?

Speaking of history, because the Great Depression never happens in this AU (I'm not too keen on throwing literally every single character into an entire decade of poverty and unemployment and starvation), that means the era of the Roaring Twenties will continue into the 30s as well. That also means World War II will be at the very least minimized (the Nazi party would probably not have the political means/climate to take power). The GG20s AU may exist on a timeline where WW2 was not a major, global war, similar to how Kiki's Delivery Service and Tintin's universes never experienced WW2.

My neck has been killing me and I need a new pillow. I’ve been checking costs on some of the ones we currently carry and thought I’d found one I was willing to take a chance on. At the last second I learned it’s freakin lavender scented. The show pillow has mostly worn it away but scented pillows always murder my throat.

So it’s back to the drawing board since the next option is twice as much.

One thing i absolutely ADORE about captain swan is how open Emma becomes with Killian. Like you have this pirate that, for so long, only had the Jolly Roger and revenge to expect in his life, and when he meets Emma, is completely inthralled by her and is willing to show her that he will STAY. Not only that, he is determined too. And Emma, once she’s used to him being someone to rely on, comes to really be comfortable with him. And becomes a necessary part of her life. Then we have S5a with them in Camelot and they are just determined to hold onto each other while she’s experiencing the hardest times right now—

Anyway, all that to say that I completely adored them ever since me and my mom stumbled upon this crazy show and I miss them sm!

Happy Friday, it's fankid time! My personal favorite is the first white haired kid, if only because he makes me think of part 1 Dio. I'm thinking next week I'm gonna make some fusion/ectobio kids for adopts, but that depends on how motivated I am. Alternatively, I could make some occupation themed kids/trolls.
