I'm probably reading way too much into this, but seeing Spamton covering every face in the image except Kris's in this makes me so happy because it makes me think he actually sees Kris as a friend. I know he says as much in the game, but did he really mean it, or was it just part of his sales pitch to get the Keygen? Honestly, every interaction with Kris except for the Dealmaker one can be interpreted through the lens of self-interest and manipulation, so with all the ambiguity surrounding their interactions, it's nice to see something so simple and clear like this.

I love domestic/fluffy Byler so much, but what I really want is for them to be a mess.

Everything about their relationship with the involvement of the upside down and Eleven is a mess. Will is carelessly lying to Mike about El and his painting, Mike is not communicating and was being particularly distant to Will for virtually no reason on his birthday (which btw I totally don’t buy it that the Duffers and the writers room just “forgot” Will’s birthday when they remembered Will’s favorite candy just so they can have it as a silly little easter egg in like two scenes). Everything about it that has been building up to this point is just a huge pile up at this point.

They’re going to likely be with each other for most of season 5 because of the promise that they made to each other at the end of season 4 (and the BTS photos but yknow), which gives time for a lot to happen. Will and Mike are not perfect people, and it’s clear that their friendship isn’t either. The confession isn’t going to be light and fun. That pileup is going to collapse under it’s own weight and it will not be pretty at all. It’s going to be a mess, it’s going to hurt, and I am HERE FOR IT.

I'm not really sure what the narrative function of Boruto having three (four?) potential love interests is, but what I am starting to feel confident in is the idea that we're not getting through this story without an eventual love confession from at least Mitsuki

Like. they're spending A Lot of Mitsuki's screentime showing us how he's steadily puzzling out his feelings and what it all means to him, in particular when it comes to Boruto - that's the kind of thing that needs a conclusion at some point, even if Boruto doesn't reciprocate. And having it be in the form of Mitsuki vocalizing his feelings only makes sense, because he also struggles a lot when it comes to expressing himself.

I've touched on it a couple times before, but I really don't think Mitsuki identified his feelings as being romantic until like... maybe chapter 88. And even then, he doesn't seem fully committed to the idea, so there might still be more introspection waiting for him on the topic.

But since they've intertwined his arc about learning to understand and express himself with his romantic feelings for Boruto, it only makes sense from a writing perspective for there to be a moment where he tells him how he feels. It's not entirely dissimilar to Hinata's arc, in that way; both would be overcoming a deep-seated personal struggle that makes it difficult to communicate, all because of the strength that their fully-realized love gives them. And I just think that's pretty cool

okay, so ianite and spark, super complicated relationship

the main reason for that is the lack of equal standing with each other. like ianite can try to be human and do things like mortals do, but ultimately she’s not and spark will never see her as his equal. she’s his lady, his goddess, she will always be a station above him. and I do doubt that he’d want it any other way.

like sure, we the audience never get to meet spark, we don’t even get writing that is purely in his perspective, but we do know one definitive thing. he built dagrun. out of anything that he could’ve built in the name of his goddess, he builds a town! and what is a town if not it’s community and culture, a place to belong. it is under those circumstances that they even meet to begin with! under that specific dynamic as goddess and follower.

so, lord mianite proposing to jordan that when he revives ianite, it’s going to be with her as a mortal, shows a fundamental understanding on why spark and ianite were even together to begin with. I don’t think spark would’ve agreed to that deal because he wouldn’t want ianite in any other way.

Both of these songs are obviously more about HyunA than anything but i think there is a connection we can draw between them for Mizi too, and some more insight we can read.

After Mizi is saved she is a new person, she can't go back to the life she had before, she cant be the girl who she was before everything. maybe she doesnt even want to knowing everything she knows? and now that she is forced to face it head on or nothing she will embrace her new self.

And love and peace is hyuna through and through, even from the title. She is a character that one: strives for the freedom and peace of others and two: is still finding that for herself.

She's far from the past now, but she’s still haunted by it in the way she is reminded of Hyun-woo, seeing him from the corner of her eyes as the child she knew and loved before his death. She can’t stop herself from thinking about Luka, too even after everything, even after the pain and anger he's caused and even when she’s gotten so far in this life
