#when i say episode 1 i dont mean 'pilot'. i mean episode 1. there will be more

ive had a few people send me this tweet, and while it's entirely possible that this is a placeholder date, i do think some things are a bit interesting about it. this might take a bit, so i'm putting it all under a read more.

but first of all i want to say: i do not want glitch to rush out episodes. i do not want the team to force themselves to get this out asap, i do not care how long ep 4 and any future episodes take to get here!! we can wait :D

but moving on, first thing i noticed is that december 13th is a friday. glitch always drops episodes on fridays. maybe netflix does too, i dont pay attention to netflix, but that's one thing that i thought was interesting.

the second thing (and the main reason im making this post) might take a bit of context to fully explain:

when murder drones was being worked on, up until after episode 6, their release schedule was pretty consistent: a new episode every few months, from november 2022 to august 2023. after episode 6 dropped, glitch started to focus on TADC's pilot, which was one of the many reasons it took even longer than just a few months for episode 7 to release.

if you take the wait times between episodes from episode 2 to episode 6, the average amount of days was around 70-ish days. this number is important, ill mention it later on.

why do i bring this up? because im pretty sure that MD's final 2 episodes are the reason this release schedule didn't immediately apply to TADC. we knew from a post glitch made in early 2023 that MD ep 8 was going to be delayed.

i don't think it's that much of a stretch to say that while glitch had planned to release TADC episodes in the middle of working on MD, since MD caused delays, it of course meant that TADC's episodes also couldn't follow that 'new episode every few months' schedule that MD had in it's early days. this resulted in episode 2 taking half a year to release, and another 5 months for episode 3.

another thing to note is that while I have no idea how long production of a show takes when it comes to glitch, i do think that how they handled TADC was fairly different from how MD happened.

after MD's pilot dropped, there was a year of hiatus between episodes 1 and 2. i wouldnt be surprised if the reason this took so long is because production of further episodes only begun after MD's pilot started to gain attention, so glitch had the support needed to continue.

with TADC, we know that production of future episodes had started before the pilot even released. the scripts had been written, and voice lines had been recorded well in advance.

because of this, TADC didn't need a year of hiatus just so glitch could start production, so this 'new ep every 70ish days' timeline couldve still happened if MD didnt cause delays (not saying that's a bad thing, glitch should be taking all the time they need!). but now that MD is over, glitch now has the time to make TADC a priority.

not to say their focus will be completely on TADC, we still have the gaslight district's pilot that, if i had to guess, probably will release sometime between october-november 2025 (yes, this does mean TADC's later episodes will also have delays due to this. let's all remember to be nice to glitch even when this happens).

they've probably done the same thing with TGD, where production of future episodes started before the pilot. so glitch still will be working on that alongside TADC.

but back to the twitter post that prompted me to write this whole thing out: if you take the day that episode 3 released (october 4th, 2024), and add 70 days to it, you get:

december 13th! the date that netflix had listed! so either netflix got incredibly lucky with a random date, or they did their math homework and figured this would be a safe bet for a potential episode 4 release. so if i had to guess, if this date does turn out to be ep 4's actual release date, we could have a trailer by the 29th of november.

but hey, while we wait, glitchx is coming up soon! that's exciting, i cant wait to see what they reveal this time :D

A lot of people have been speculating who the character thats going to die is, and I have done some Long, Hard, Thinking, with what has been presented to us in the show and the information that has been given to us.

❗️Potential Spoilers ahead as I give my thoughts!❗️ (also a warning that this is long)

(Also, please be nice. These are just my opinions. Please tell me what you think!)

Some of this is also just me assuming, don't take my word for fact unless proven otherwise.

So I am going to jump right in and say that, while Vivzipop DID state that a major character death may possibly occur in the show, that doesn't necessarily mean the end of season one.

However I will also take into account that they didnt realize a season 2 was happening untill halfway through production of season 1, so they tried to cram A LOT into 8 episodes (and that's why it's so fast paced)

So if a character death IS to happen soon, here are my thoughts, by process of elimination of course 😊

I am first going to start out with Nifty. I know many people are rooting for her to die instead of their favorites. However, that's why I don't think they would kill her off.

To put Nifty in the original main 6 cast just to never touch up on her character, give her depth, or give us her full backstory that lets us connect to her character more. Unlike the rest of the main 6 casters, where we are exploring their personalitys and connecting with them, we don't really get that with Nifty just yet. Her episode is still to come. So, to put her in the main cast just for the purpose of never touching up on her character and killing her off would be very bad writing, why put her in the main cast at all, then?

I don't even think I need to talk about Charlie. She's supposed to be the main character (but that's a talk about that for another day)

Third, I am able to most likely cross off the list is Vaggie. Much like Nifty, she has not gotten her episode yet (however for both Nifty and Vaggie's cases, at the time of writing this the last 4 episodes of Hazbin are yet to realease), however we do know that vaggies story is supposed to be a deep one and there is still a lot to go when it comes to building her character up to the audience and just building in general. So I dont believe it would be her neither.

Fourth that I can pretty much cross off the list is Alastor. With the whole suggested connections to Lilith, there is definitely a much larger plot that surrounds Alastor that will keep the series moving forward. He is too much of an important character to kill off right away.

I will not be talking about Cherri Bomb just yet (however, sence 2 episodes ARE about to release with one apparently being the one she is introduced in, I may edit this later and share my thoughts)

Our last three options would be Angel Dust, Husk, and Sir Pentious.

I am going to talk about Sir Pentious first. Sence, they sped up the pace of the show quite significantly, his character progression has also been a little fast. Sir Pentious wasn't even supposed to be in the main series. He was supposed to be a one-off character for the pilot. However, people just loved him so much, but the idea of his character being anywhere near some sort of impulsive "I must save my friends" moment during an extermination or something similar, would just be bad writing and wayyy to fast even for the paceing the show is currently at. they would have to do it just right.

I do know that Vivzi wants to go somewhere with his character, though, the idea of Sir pentious developing a crush on someone in the show (suggested to be a woman, but not confirmed) is somthing that has been brought up multiple times. So I do think they actually plan on going places with his character. Also, this is NOT by any means confirmed, and just something that I have heard a couple of times, is that the potential major character death announcement was made BEFORE Sir pentious was even planned on being in the offical show (remember one-off character). So, a character was planned to die before he was officially a part of the show. With all of this, I dont think it would be him either.

WHICH LEAVES OUR LAST TWO.

Husk and Angel Dust are both very impulsive and very attached to one another. However, there is a certain character building that goes into stuff like this. And I don't think Angel Dust has this character building.

I dont think it will be Angel Dust because

1. I dont think Vivzie would want to let him go so soon

2. While he is a fan favourite and people do connect with Angel Dust, I don't think his character has been built up for dying just yet. He still has a lot of stuff set up for his character.

3. I think his character is supposed to be all about being in a cycle of abuse, and his character development is getting out of it and healing over time until eventually his soul gets redeemed and he goes to heaven. Yes, he has husk, but that doesn't mean that anything with Valentino (or in Husks case Alastor) has stopped by any means.

When it comes down to Husk vs. Angel Dust, I would say it depends on the next couple of episodes, really. You can argue with husk that he still has not gotten out of his thing with Alastor.

However, I still lean towards it being Husk that dies because 1. I really don't think Vivzi would want to let go of Angel so soon

And 2. His character is kinda built up for it? I can't explain this one all too well, and most of it is personal opinion.

While they have angel dusts character set up to go through rough times trying to escape Valentino. They don't really show this with husk and Alastor. Sure Angel and Husk relate to each other's situations, but most of Husk and Angel in episode 4 (the last 4 episodes are yet to be released at the time of writing this) was mostly Husk comforting angel, he talks about how he regrets his decisions and how he related to Angel Dust, but unlike angel dust, they never really build his character up for any kind of potential attempt to escape from Alastor. While Angel dust has that character buildup, Husks just isn't there.

They also painted husk in a way that was very likeable to a lot of people. For example, if you were to ask someone who their favourite Hazbin Hotel character is, saying Husk is a VERY safe choice. A lot of people are very sympathetic for him. They buttered him up just for us. If anybody is theoretically going to die at the end of the season, it would be Husk.

There are still some unanswered questions of mine, though. My opinion can be changed A LOT by how the next couple of episodes go. Thank you for reading this much!

a rough, addison-centric timeline of grey's anatomy/private practice

an anon sent me an ask about when greys/private practice took place and a rough timeline for addison. then i went to edit the draft and accidentallly deleted it. so, i'm sorry, anon! i hope you find this post lol.

okay, so, the grey’s universe contradicts itself multiple times when it comes to the timeline so this is my best approximation/what makes the most sense. i’m putting this in bulleted list format lol bc initially i had a long rambly paragraph that was me basically doing the math as i went. i also got way too carried away and this may be more detailed than you needed. 

Pre-show/establishing age

addison is 39 by the end of season three. this makes absolutely no sense considering her extensive credentials but shhh dont worry about it. in my head i justify it bc she canonically graduated college early, and in my head she skipped a grade or two

she and derek are heavily implied to have met their very first semester of med school. they married in 1994. So there is no official timeline on what years she completed her undergrad, when she graduated med school, or when she completed her residencies and fellowships. 

GA seasons 1-3 

the first three seasons of greys are all one year (they span meredith & friends' intern year)

i initially thought season one took place in 2005 (when the show airs) but in order for everything else to fit it must be 2006. the show contradicts itself about this a few times. personally, i think 2005 makes more sense because addison and derek were married in 1994 and they were married for 11 years at this point. but, they must have made allowances for the fact that three seasons spanned one year.

season one runs from summer to fall 2006. meredith spends two months with derek before addison shows up. addison spends those same two months with mark in new york. so her whole pregnancy/abortion/blonde-hair-for-a-minute all happens in late summer/fall, then she shows up in seattle at the end of season one and by her fabulous fur lined coat, we can gather that it’s fall.

season two picks up directly after season one with no time gap. We get christmas and thanksgiving episodes, and it stretches into spring 2007 (the hospital prom takes place during actual prom season for richard’s niece)

season three once again picks up directly after season two with no gap. addison and derek’s divorce is finalized pretty quickly into the season but i couldnt get the date. the season ends definitively around mid june, because that’s when cristina and burke’s wedding was meant to take place. the two part backdoor pilot for private practice spans the two episodes directly before the wedding/finale, so addison presumably visited L.A around late may/early june 2007 and then came back before the wedding

PP season 1 (+GA season 4)

season one of private practice aired concurrently with grey’s season 4 and the timeline runs directly parallel. there are only nine episodes and they make very very few references to time, so we have to extrapolate from grey’s.

they say that there's a short gap between cristina’s wedding and the start of their second residency year so, season four picks up around early/mid july, meaning private practice also starts around this time. 

grey;s has a halloween episode early on (episode five or six) and presumably runs through the rest of fall and winter. PP season one ends after the ninth episode, which aired before the ninth episode of grey’s. then, addison comes to seattle in GA S4 ep 13. in the episode directly after this, the article comes out about burke winning the “2008 harper avery award”, so i believe this visit is already early 2008. 

PP season 2 (+GA season 5)

seasons 4 and 5 of GA take place over one year, so pp seasons 1 and 2 must also be one year. there are very few time references, so we have to extrapolate from grey’s again. there is a few months long gap between seasons 1 and 2 (bc of the time during which grey's was airing but pp was not)

episode five of grey's takes place in october (so ep 5 of pp must also be around october)

GA 5x14 and PP 2x15 run parallel to eachother. addison calls derek at the end of these episodes. i'm pretty sure this is meant to take place in january or february 2009 (at this point the air dates are closely lined up with the in universe dates). this whole crossover arc spans two episodes of PP and one episode of GA and i’m pretty sure its meant to take place over just a few days.

2x18 of PP takes place over three months so im guessing its at least early summer 2009 by the time the season ends

PP season 3 (+GA season 6)

season three picks up directly after season two (violet’s attack). season 6 of GA also picks up directly after their previous season (george's death). but then GA 6x1 and 6x2 take place over forty days and PP 3x2 picks up a month after 3x1. So theres a lot of futzing and messing with the timeline to make up for gaps and cliffhangers between seasons already. 

they mention that seattle grace mercy west is established in 2009

PP 3x3 is a direct continuation of GA 6x5, for reference

the grey's holiday episode this season (6x10) spans from november 2009, to january 1st 2010. and then PP 3x11 is a direct continuation of GA 6x11. i am assuming it's still january 2010 at this point. (this is also directly after addison finds out the truth about bizzy and susan)

there's a valentines episode of greys (ep 14), so pp 3x14 is probably also february 2010

3x16 to 3x19 take place over two months but then i'm not entirely sure on the timeline of pete and violet’s custody battle

the two part grey's finale/shooting episode takes place some time in late spring or summer 2010 (the next residency year starts in july)

PP season 4 (+GA season 7)

i couldn’t catch the date on dell’s headstone but his death was definitly late spring 2010.

7x1 of GA takes place two months after the season six finale. The episodes where they have to treat the casualties from a college campus shooting (7x10 and 7x11) take place around christmas 2010

4x6 of PP takes place before halloween (pete and violet talk about lucas’s costume) so its october 2010

the musical episode (7x18) is sofia's birthday, which is in may 2011. the PP episode 4x18 runs exactly parallel to it.

callie and arizona’s wedding is 7x20 and its stated that sofia is 3 months old, thus this is three months after both GA 7x18 and PP 4x18

So to recap: private practice season four takes place from around late spring/summer 2010 to spring/summer 2011

PP season 5 (+GA season 8)

here where it gets more tricky bc they do some time jumps around amelia’s pregnancy 

the first episode of season 8 of greys takes place on july 1st 2011. the three episode arc in which teddy’s husband dies (eps 8, 9, 10) take place around mid january i think, based on what she says in the valentines episode (ep 14). the plane crash (the final ep of the season) takes place around mid may 2012.

season five of pp picks up right after season four (pete’s heart attack). the second episode jumps to a month later

episode 5x8 (amelia’s intervention) takes place 12 days after 5x7. assuming this lines up with greys, her intervention, ryan’s death, and her admission to rehab probably take place in late december 2011. then her episode in rehab (5x9) spans the course of fifty days, so the next episode (5x10) likely takes place in mid february

amelia is 20 weeks pregnant in 5x16. i’m going to assume that christopher was conceived very close to the night of ryan’s OD, so i’m guessing it's late spring at this point

5x19 is the episode where amelia gets the horrible news about her baby. There is a time jump. she is six months pregnant at the beginning and seven months pregnant at the end. She gives birth in the season finale. i'm guessing it's already late summer at this point, though somehow addison and amelia did not know about the plane crash. 

so based on the timeline of amelia’s relapse and pregnancy, plus the grey’s timeline, i'm fairly certain season five of private practice take place summer 2011 to summer 2012.

PP season 6 (+GA season 9)

this one's gonna piss me off bc they do so many time jumps in an attempt to tie up loose ends before the show ends

there is a bit of a time jump before season 6, but in the season premiere, amelia celebrates one year of sobriety. so it must already be late 2012. i’m leaving wiggle room with my guesswork for last season, because imo the canon timeline they’re establishing of the last season is a little iffy.

its implied that addison and jake have been together for these past few months between seasons

pete’s memorial happens in 2x2. addison gets the call that mark has been taken off life support, so this episode must run parallel to greys 9x1. there has also been a time jump between GA seasons. it’s unclear whether or not addison visited mark while on life support, but it had likely been a few months so it's possible. they state that mark died in 2012 so it's not yet 2013.

they jump back and forth in time too much over the course of charlotte's pregnancy, henry’s adoption, and vivian carlsmith’s death. the entire season was meant to be a finale, so a lot of episodes focus only on one or two characters and have events that happen concurrently with the events of other episodes and it gets all muddled. but i'm pretty sure episodes 1-12 span a little under nine months (charlotte discovers she's pregnant at the beginning of the season and gives birth in ep 12). so her pregnancy serves as a backdrop to all these other storylines that overlap in these 12 episodes.

there is some kind of time jump between the triplets birth in 6x12 and addison’s wedding in 6x13 but not a very long one.

there is a thirteen week time jump between addison’s wedding and naomi’s ultrasound, then a little longer before sam and naomi’s second wedding.

so from what i can gather, season six took place over the course of around a year, starting in late 2012 and ending in late 2013 (potentially early 2014?? at some point this season the timeline diverges from greys so that they can utilize all the time jumps)

You can't expect people to take you seriously if you're not providing any proof? If Will and El are twins and Joyce and Hopper are their bio parents, why don't any of them know about it and why haven't there been any hints about it? I'm not even trying to be rude here I just haven't seen any evidence. Let alone strong evidence

I've gotten a few confused asks about this theory and how it just doesn't make any sense..?

I'm not saying that I completely understand the ins and outs of how it works, in fact I'm still completely immersed in theorizing and not being certain of anything! Quite frankly, I don't understand it (how time works/the rules of the game), though I think that's necessary because otherwise everyone and their mother would have guessed this surprise by now if it was any more obvious than it already is.

I also just feel kind of bad about spoiling what could possibly be going down, especially bc this would clearly be a series long surprise.

I've been theorizing for months now with @shippingfangirl013 about this. It started with us sharing thoughts about Twelvegate and just sort of piecing together s4 lab scenes and then eventually going back to the beginning to see what we might have missed from this new lens, that being the possibility that Will is Twelve. And that's when we realized A LOT of stuff has been overlooked from the very beginning, which provides not only answers to certain questions we had, but also brings forth even more questions that we wouldn't have come up with, had we not looked back further into the details in the first place.

Also be sure to keep an eye out because she has some really big brain analysis in the works that you dont want to miss. I can honestly say she plays a big role in why I feel fairly confident about this theory, because I myself didn't really believe it at first. But now, after everything I've seen, it's kind of hard not to.

Even if you don't like this the idea of this theory or just simply don't believe the evidence presented that you've seen thus far, at the very least looking at this could expand your ability to look further at other details on the show and even pick up on evidence of your own. I find that more often than not, knowing about the existence of certain overlooked details allows you to find even more overlooked details that others missed.

For the sake of your doubtful ask, and for anyone else who isn't even considering this theory because it seems too far fetched, I'm going to share some of my favorite unhinged evidence for whatever the hell gate we're calling this...

But first, here is some basic context for the chaos that follows.

Something important to note, is that we don't meet Hopper, El or the Byers the night that Will went missing. We only met Will and the party. Instead they saved the rest of the main character's introductions (his family, mind you) for the following day, after Will had gone missing. This also means they saved their introductions for AFTER the big power outage that happened that night right before he disappeared.

I find this interesting because this choice allowed them to make those introductions feel arguably 'starting point'/reset-like (like in a video game).

You'll also note there is a 'Pizza One' box in that first scene when the party is in Mike's basement playing their campaign, moments before that power outage. This could have been a hint that the very start of the pilot episode at the Wheelers may very well be the OG timeline, that we've been straying from ever since. And so let's say hypothetically, if we had met Hopper, El and the Byers BEFORE that power outage, whose to say their lives wouldn't have looked slightly different...?

The first time we are introduced to Hopper is in the scene directly after the opening credits, which was right after the scene of Will disappearing in the shed. Hopper is sleeping on the couch in his trailer, wearing both his daughter's blue bracelet and his watch. We also get 3 references to keys in this scene (a 2 ft long key decal in the literal opening shot). And if that's not enough, what follows is Hopper getting ready for work, putting a yellow pen in his pocket near a painting of an owl, before grabbing his keys and walking out the door.

The first time we are introduced to Joyce (the Byers), follows directly after the scene with Hopper, where Joyce just so happens to be looking everywhere for her keys, Where the hell are they?, followed by finding them on the couch, despite already looking there previously with no luck (interesting Hopper was sleeping on the couch with Willel symbols on his wrists only moments before this hmm). We then get a shot of Joyce showing concern over Will not eating breakfast, followed by scolding Jonathan for forgetting to wake Will up, adding I've told you this a thousand times, before she walks past an owl on the wall in the hallway and opens the door to another owl on the wall in Will's (unoccupied) room...

Let me just say, for the sake of this fictional family, I hope to god they haven't been through this thousands of times. Though I fear they might have. At least more than once...

There are a lot, A LOT of scenes that go down like this. As the show progresses, we get a lot of references to time passing and confusion and impatience and it almost feels like they themselves know deep down this isn't their first rodeo, and yet they're still playing along bc how exactly can one question their reality?.

The problem right now for me, is that I don't understand the rules of the game. How does time work? What even is the goal of the game (to win, I presume?)? Maybe Vecna's having to keep reseting the time loop, to get the results he wants, and over time he's getting closer and closer to the results he wants, but it will ultimately (predictably) lead to him failing once and for all in the final season, when all is inevitably revealed?

Hypothetically, if this is all some game/pocket universe Vecna has thrown our core characters into, essentially surrounding them with 'fakers', then how do we know what is/isn't real? Or I guess whether or not we're in a timeline/loop either closest to, or furthest away from the original timeline? That's why it's hard for me to go further in terms of definitively piecing everything together time wise. Not only that, but we also don't even know for sure what Vecna wants from Will and El, truly.

But I do think that a lot of the answers to the truth are hidden in plain sight.

If you're genuinely curious, I encourage you to rewatch the show for yourself to see if you can pick up on things! Be sure to keep an eye out for keys and owls in particular. Also, El's flashbacks of Mama/the rainbow room might prove to be important... like, literally slowing down and pausing and screenshooting every single frame level important...

Who knows, you might even stumble upon a completely different undiscovered theory in the process!

On that note, here is just a slice of my favorite evidence in regards to this theory, that will hopefully open your mind to the possibility:

When Hopper asks about Lonnie's whereabouts, Joyce insists TRUST ME HE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. They made sure to keep the keys on the wall OUT of the frame in those shots referencing Lonnie by name specifically. However, when the conversation circles back to Will, and then follows after with Joyce telling Hopper to find her son, the keys are once again visible in both of their shots.

This scene right here is pretty epic. We all interpret Hopper's investigative skills throughout the series as him just being good at his job. But I would argue this scene in particular gives off very intense deja vu. It's as if Hopper knows where to look, because he's done this before. It's as if he's getting a gut feeling in certain areas that actually could be close to the truth, because this is his thousandth time doing this (Jesus, for their sake, I hope that's not the case).

Still, Hopper showcases a lot of unbelievable detective work throughout the show, and I think it could very well be hinting at him drifting in and out of awareness over the fact that he has done this before, which allows him to make such incredible guesses that lead him to the answer sooner than he would have in any normal situation (and yet, never too close...)

Has this always been here? That's what Hopper asks about a dent in the wall. We interpret it as maybe Hopper trying to figure out if this could be connected to Will's disappearance. But what if it's more than that? What if it hasn't always been there? What if this is a glitch in the matrix of sorts, and he noticed that glitch, bc this isn't his first time doing this? (Also peep the owl that shows up at the very last second in the shot directly below, with Joyce and Hopper in the frame, just as he gets the urge to check the backyard...)

This scene... This fucking scene ya'll. It just doesn't make any sense. This is one of several scenes throughout the show that have so many unanswered questions. I think it's because something else is going on that weren't not supposed to understand yet. That shot with Hopper encased in a rainbow is cool and probably means something... Hopper intensely walking into the frame as he steps towards the shed, with the upside down horseshoe above the door also probably means something...

Hopper literally walks up straight to where Will was in the shed the night previous, bc he's just that good of a detective. Yeah, okay... Suddenly the light overhead is blinking dramatically, only to switch off completely, which leads Hopper's eyes to catch this makeshift fort in the corner of the shed. Before he even gets a good look at what he's seeing, he's interrupted by Callahan, pulling him out of his deja vu state, followed by the light switching back on instantly, as if the occurrence was all in his head.

This also happens a lot, where our main characters are being interrupted by other characters, only seconds before they were close to solving something. And I just find that interesting...

This one is kind of peak comedy because, all it's doing on the surface is implying that Joyce and Hopper have a romantic history, but it also sneakily involves Will in the joke, as evidence that they have been intimate... The Chief and her, they've screwed before huh? ...WILL! That a 'yeah' or did they...

To be honest, I was really doubtful about Joyce and Hopper being El and Will's biological parents at first, even despite believing twelvegate and the possibility of them being twins. And this doubt mostly came from the scenes we get with Terry aka El's 'Mama'.

Initially, I had convinced myself it would be too sad, considering how much backstory we got about Terry. But @shippingfangirl013 made me realize that there is something very off about these scenes with Terry, that I think kind of went over all of our heads.

First of all, Mama is essentially the equivalent to the name Papa, and so we should start by unpacking that. Why didn't the writers have El distance herself from that exact association she links to Brenner, by just having her call Terry 'mom' like most kids call their mother? It doesn't seem that serious on the surface, but again this is a choice the writers made... Maybe it's because they wanted the audience to subconsciously associate those two with each other (Papa/Mama)? Also peep Jim giving Will Byers vibes, all lit up by the sun like Jesus (or I guess... God?) below!

The main thing I want to talk about though, is that despite Terry's vegetative state, she's still managing to give us hints about how she feels and what she thinks, with very subtle micro-expressions.

When she meets Hopper and Joyce in s1, Terry looks completely unsurprised. You could say she looks the same all of the time, because of her vegetative state, and while I mostly agree, there are some outliers in the mix.

When Joyce mentions El being her daughter, what we get is a reaction shot of Terry dramatically closing her eyes for an extended period of time, almost like she's experiencing frustration over them woefully misunderstanding the truth behind what's going on.

And I think that's kind of the whole point of the vegetative state here, that perhaps if Terry could say what she wanted to say, it would give away the truth that has been hidden all along, AKA Joyce and Hopper are El and Will's true parents. When Joyce then mentions her missing son, showing Terry a picture of him, this woman LITERALLY turns her head to the right, looking straight up annoyed... Why? Why would she do that unless this is her ?/? time meeting them, hearing this same old silly charade?..

But then here... THIS moment when Hopper asks about Brenner and Terry's relationship with him, that's when it gets interesting. Terry doesn't look exhausted over their ignorance anymore like she seemed to be in the moments previous. Now, she's back to her stare of nothing, and yet seeing this in contrast to her micro-expressions, almost adds a new layer to what this could possibly mean... Perhaps this could be hinting that Hopper is a lot closer to the truth than he realizes, warranting a knowing look from Terry, with her almost impressed, thinking Damn Jim, maybe you'll figure it out this time and I can finally be released from this hell...

This might seem like a reach to assume Brenner and Terry had any sort of relation beyond her being a lab volunteer, but something I think you might be interested in knowing, is that Terry has a little collection of Bonsai tree books beside her chair... Bonsai... does that remind you of anyone...? (If you check out those posts by @shippingfangirl013, you might know what i'm referring to...)

The fact that Hopper even mentions Brenner and Terry's presumed connection to him is just one other example of Hopper subconsciously picking up on things he discovered in previous loops that are close to the TRUE truth, allowing him to narrow things down quicker this time around, without needing to take all the steps to get to that point.

An owl behind both Joyce and Hopper here, while they talk about what allegedly happened to Terry and her daughter Jane.

And there you have it folks, the acknowledgment that the truth could have been covered up, the moment Hopper stands in front of the owl artwork (literally covering it up). Owls, which have been tied more than anyone else to Hopper, Joyce, Will and El (tying them together?).? Also the crib between them... Nothing to see here.

This one is pretty self explanatory. We even get a parallel to this in s4 with El AND Will, though next time they'll confirm Hopper's role in the equation. So, be ready for that...

These scenes are so important to this theory because despite them all being separated (who knows how many times now), they have this epic finale of coming together. We get these really heartfelt scenes with El and Joyce and Hopper, Will and El, and then Will and Joyce and Hopper, and it's all very emotional and just so much deeper knowing that the truth could be that they're all tied to each other more than we (or even them) realize.

11 & 12 between the two hands on the clock, in a moment that parallels X-Men and also the lab massacre (which presumably had both 11 and 12 in attendance...). Mike calling out to El emotionally the moment that Joyce and Hopper are reunited with Will. My heart can't take it!!!

Someone actually noticed this shot of Hopper recently, I can't remember who! But it made me want to go back to see what shot is right before it. And low and behold, it follows directly after a shot of the Byers family reuniting. Kind of interesting they made the choice to have this shot right afterwards, of Hopper sitting next to Ted (aka a dad), while looking lost in thought as he stressfully bites his nails, with his arm sporting his daughter's blue bracelet...

Not suspicious at all. That creepy shadow behind Owens as he makes an almost knowing comment about Joyce and Hopper being 'Mom and Pop', followed by Hopper looking like he's missing something...

And for this scene to follow shortly after? Hopper literally acknowledging Owens whose waving at him politely, and yet choosing to not wave back at him?... He KNOWS something is off, but he just can't quite put his finger on it...

As you probably know, most of the scenes with the birthday mug in Mike's basement involve either El (in s1) or Will (in s2-3), which is interesting considering the other few notable birthday references we get in the show, including this really cryptic sequence above, involve Joyce and Hopper...

Now, if you still didn't believe me about Terry's behavior being off, I think this piece of evidence might help support our claims a little bit more for you to consider. Because, why, WHY when El approaches Terry in the void and says I'm home, is Terry's response No..? Why would that even make any sense? Why would El's biological mom say No to her missing daughter implying that she is her family? Unless, she's not of course...?

Something interesting about the flashbacks that Terry shows El, is that they're very sporadic and hard to understand. Not only that, but we STILL get callbacks to these memories heavily even in s4, which tells me there is still something there that has yet to be picked up on, by both the audience and El herself, which is why they keep resurfacing in different forms. My favorite moment out of the s2 flashbacks though is probably this moment where it looks like a baby is born, only for Brenner to look back, like there's more to come (another baby?? TWINS?). But this type of twin imagery, only gets stronger in s3-4...

After 2 seasons of building up this meeting of these two characters who have been mirroring each other since the very beginning, here we are... Also, why even hold back for so long in introducing them? Maybe because them finally interacting properly is going to cause some things to resurface... And you definitely don't want to overlook these shots of Hopper and Joyce in Melvald's with two baby's in between them, followed by a shot of keys... Hmmmm.

Remember when I said to pay attention to the Terry/Lab flashbacks El experiences over the seasons?

Well this particular flashback below comes from 3x06: E Plurbius Unum aka the episode that was originally titled The Birthday, might prove to be important...

Jonathan and Will in a scene prior to El's flashback, has them situated interestingly between this Lucky Charms box and this Spill & Spell game, which is then followed by this scene with El experiencing flashbacks... And...

Rainbow? Lucky (Upside down horse shoe...) Enter flashback

I'm not going to be able to show each frame of this flashback, because in total there are over 30 different quick images shown and repeated...

And so, If you want to find out why this is the strongest piece of evidence for Willel twins in my opinion (brought to you by @shippingfangirl013's big brain), go back and rewatch to see how many times they show the image of baby El and young El in the rainbow room... Also take note of how shots of Kali (008) are interspersed consistently within this flashback, aka a character that is known for having powers to make people invisible, and to also make people see things that aren't actually happening...

Here's that parallel I mentioned earlier making a return, but instead tying El (and arguably Will) to Hopper being their biological father. Also peep El's bracelet and Will's watch being prominent in a lot of their shots together throughout s4, now that they share the screen a lot more.

No, but seriously, Willel's bracelet and watch mirroring each other often in their scenes together, and by association also paralleling Hopper wearing one of each, dramatically showcased in his introduction to the series, can be something so personal to me...

THEY'RE TWINS YOUR HONOR!

This one really goes off. A car passes by a couple times during this flashback El has (IN S4), causing a shadow to cast behind Will, almost creating this duplicate-like effect... This is literally happening while El is having a flashback to her 'birth mother', while staring at a family (with their faces warn out/blurred) on a billboard, with an arrow pointing towards where Will, aka her twin, is standing to the right of her...

This one below has gotta be my favorite though. And it's because I literally remember watching this scene the first time and being confused?

Tbh, that's when you know something is more complex than it appears. Whenever something feels off within the context provided in the moment, it's probably because there's something deeper going on and there are multiple meanings at play. This means they're using this small moment as an opportunity to provide dual meaning in plain sight, that we wont understand the dual meaning of until later on down the line.

Are you ready..

Hmmm. I wonder what this could possibly be alluding to? Could it perhaps be the writers hinting at Hopper unintentionally projecting his own situation onto Dmitri? Is it possible who Hopper believes to be his child (daughter... son(s?)?) and his (ex)wife, are not actually who he and everyone thinks they are...?

Well. There you have it! These are just some of the many, many hints hiding in the details that point to the possibility of the Byers actually all being, Hoppers...?

For now, this is just a theory! So even though it's cool and there is a serious amount of evidence pointing to it, it will most definitely continue to transform and look different over time, the more we look deeper and discover more. Nothing is set in stone, for now it's all just theories and speculation.

"Helluva's pilot isn't canon, the show is clearly abt blitzo and his relationships"

Okay so ig I'm gonna just use this tumblr to rant abt helluva

Same disclaimer as last time: While I am trying to make an objective point, this could also be fueled by my own subjective tastes. My critique is not an attack or condemnation on either the staff working on the series or the fans, enjoy what u wanna enjoy :)

So I stumbled upon an argument made online that helluva boss, who's pilot was sold as a show abt a murder business, is no longer meant to be that and hasn't been that since it's now non-canon pilot. Hence deflecting the critique that its critics miss when the show was actually abt imp

And I think I should clarify what I mean when I say "I miss when helluva was abt imp".

While yes the pilot is no longer canon, the problem lies in that there isn't enough evident changes between it and the first canon episode, murder family. The first ep still introduced imp and moxie and Millie and loona, who at this rate, have been practically shafted and deprived of having any individual character moments.

If this show was abt blitzo and his past relationships, then why introduce imp in the first ep and continue it? Because now it is this unnecessary element of the story that feels like a obstacle the writers need to keep finding ways to write out for the sake of stolitz. Imp doesn't seem to have any major significance to blitzo. There is no emotions we have seen from blitzo to connect his relationships to his business.

It can be argued that loona, moxie, and millie also work to delve into blitzo's relationships, as him bouncing off them provides insight into blitzo. However, it then reduces them to being nothing but extensions of blitzo. Which is fine if it wasn't for the fact most characters tend to be in the show.

Most shows introduce characters, even side characters, for audiences to explore. U dont just write a major character to see their dynamic with one other character, but to also compel the audience to them as well.

To use another one of vivzie's work, hazbin. Let's say if we were to make the entire cast of hazbin just characters to reflect on Charlie's characters. In that case, you can ditch the ep 4 abt angel dust, since that doesn't directly relate to Charlie. But then we won't be as compelled to him because we don't know anything abt angel. Same goes for practically any other series.

So when I state I miss with helluva was abt imp, I mean to say I miss when the imp plus m&m and loona seem to hold equal relevance to blitzo like they were set up in ep 1. It becomes wasted potential that if this show supposedly intended to be abt blitzo and not imp, they wouldn't have bothered writing those elements in.

I suppose it's why I wanted to make this post. I find it deceptive for fans to go so far as to blame critics of the show for just not understanding the show's intent. Maybe just admit the writers actually did pivot the story a bit too late and now have the remnets of their old story unable to be retconned as non canon. Maybe people actually have a right to be upset that they were YES, SOLD ON A DIFFERENT CONCEPT and the show completely pivoted its focus away.

To fans who enjoy this pivot, that's totally valid. But it's also valid for those who don't enjoy this change that doesn't follow the narrative set up.

Why I like Manta so much

1.The reason I love this character so much isn’t jsut because of his deisgn which does help but the main reason why I love him so much is bc of his writing and story.First of all,Manta is established as a mean bully and a jerk in the first eps we see him in as he is often bullying others,however,despite that he still has one person he keeps close,which is Shino,his teammate and most probably only friend since who would wanna be friends with such a jerk,right?Here comes the catch,in the episode titles “The Polaris predicament” we get introduced to a shorescrubber from Polaris,Pavel,who we also find out was Manta’s superior at the Polaris academy,and that Manta was his lackey.Due to his interactions with Manta we can see that he wasn’t such a nice guy to him,in fact,he was a bully who constantly bullied Manta.We can even see in the same ep how Manga,who is usually stubborn and mean to everyone,going as far as to call Wyatt “bro” in an ep,and even disrespect him(most probably knowing Manta),BUT when Pavel is being mean to Manta,he doesn’t talk back,he just accepts it.That’s the first time we see more of Manta rather than him being just a mean bully to everyone.Knowing that he’s a victim of bullying,we can fairly say that the constant bullying he got from pavel didn’t do well to him,in fact,it made him become a bully himself.Despite that,he’s still not as mean to Shino as he is to everyone else,which,I could go on another rant just about them but I won’t do it(yet).We know that Shino also went to the academy,and that he also knows pavel,due to pavel asking him to be HIS mechanic and engineer(basically telling Shino to leave Manta,which tbh,kind of manipulating)We see Shino being hesitant to talk to pavel,which tells us despite most probably not enduring the same amount of bullying Manta got from Pavel,he still fears Pavel a little,saying yes,but being hesitant to do so.When Manta comes back,Pavel straight up tells Manta that he should pack his things bc he’s sending him back to Polaris,and he also says this exact thing “won’t you congratulate Shino?” Before he turns Shino’s chair so he could face Manta,we notice the way Shino looks down with full on fucking guilt on his face bc obv he didn’t wanna abandon Manta,but,he didn’t really have a choice.In the next scenes,we get to notice how Corto,tries to help Manta get rid of pavel(send him back to Polaris so Manta could keep being the pilot for the cold kings)however Manta tells Corto that he can’t “disobey academy rules”,we also see that in a scene where Corto asks Shino why didn’t anyone stop pavel from bullying Manta,Shino tells her that “everyone obeys the trainer,no mater how hard it is” Which…..EXCUSE ME???EVERYONE OBEYS THE TRAINER NO MATTER HIW HARD IT IS???SHINO JUST BASICALLY FUCKING TOLD US RHE ACADEMY IS FUCKING ABUSIVE

Anyway,we learn from the Polaris predicament ep that Manta’s bullying is all a TRAUMA RESPONSE SINCE HE WAS BULLIED(constantly may I add).All Manta knows is that since no one stopped Pavel,why would anyone stop him from being a bully?His mentality is fucked up bc of the trauma pavel gave him,he doesn’t know any better,he’s 15,he needs an adult to teach him what’s right and wrong,not to mention that Wyatt and Neptune,the only adults on the island do literally nothing to help Manta become a better person,all they do is criticize him,LIKE BRO IF U SEE THE GUY HAS ISSUES TRY AND HELP HIM OR SMT IDK DONT JUST CRITICIZE HIM ALL DAY TRY AND EXPLAIN TO HIM TRY AND TEACH HIM TRY AND MAKE HIM REALIZE HIS MISTAKES!!!

The look on Harry's face when he sees Sophie: "here we go again" "I was unaware that civil engineers took such an oath" Ok to be clear the whole "devourer of children" thing is based on an ancient historical slander-job by one of the abrahamic religions (i THINK it was christians slandering phoenicians?) There is no actual evidence that any actual children where ever thrown into the fire-offering-statue-thingy. Sophie your script is both overwritten and under-researched. (NO SLANDERING ANCIENT GODS.)

Harry's look at the cheque like "well my client would've literally settled for less". --- I like the little acknowledgement from the team that Harry had that case on lock and that they only interfered beause they needed him quickly.

So we're definitly doing the "Sophie has to learn the lesson from The Gold Job" plotline now, arent we.

Harry still doesnt understand the "now lets go steal an inside joke"-bit. --- Harry's disapointment that his cover-story to get back in the game is "lawyer".

Parker in a Bag. "thats a supsicious amount of security"... "that is the right amount of security". Good gag, 8/10 He's trying to teach his daughter English Language and Ettiquette (gut instinct: Aranged marriage?)

Volkov wants UK high-society friends to protect them. Now if only we had a Duchess on our side. Sophie protests at the change of plans, she's forgotten that only the essentials should remain rigidly planned. --- Time to distract the pilot: Using nothing but some costumes and a sugar-ed up sandwhich. Elliot is going to the safehouse with Pizza, --- "its been ages since I've been in London without having a serious problem to solve"... Goddamnit. Season 1 of Redemption was about Harry redeeming himself for past sins, and now season 2 starts with Sophie digging up her old Duchess persona (a notably long con that the nobility still seemingly believes in) and saying a line like that. We're gonna get Sophie Backstory Things arent we?

Also the safehouse... isnt. --- So the editor was a weakspot. "oh they tied him up in the basement, never good" "Basement?" What a simple fresh-eye can do.

Oh now Breanna has made me remember the Dara O'Brian stand-up thing about how those basements are dug and Chuggy.... (in related news, I am sad now.)

I apreciate Breanna taking the time to check wether Harry is legally back or just on loan, its a nice little formality.

Judging by Sophie's reaction, that neighbour is either a Celebrity Cameo, or someone from her old Duchess Days. (Makes sense, the reason the basement-diggers dig is cause their neighbours are rich-asses who cant be made to sell their house) --- Oh the BIG ASS FONT is back. No this is not a review where I bash the show nor Viv btw, sorry to anyone who was hoping it was

WHAT I DONT LIKE / CONFUSES ME

1-I’m very confused in the plot, I thought it was supposed to be about sinners being redeemed, when did the heaven vs hell war come into play? I mean I don’t mind a show where the roles are reversed but shouldn’t that have been in the pilot from the beginning?

2-Fast pacing, I mean I’ll be slightly lenient on this one because S1 has eight episodes, but I feel like on one hand there’s too much going on or on the other hand too little, who knows the season finale might surprise me

3-Lil too much swearing, while I do not mind it seeing that these are demons who don’t really care, nor do I personally care for lots of cussing, I think it can be toned down a bit

4-I feel like there’s some good characters here, but they can be executed better, so far there alright, not amazing but I’ve seen worse

5-Writing is a lil all over the place, that’s my one issue with Viv, though compared to Santa Inc or a game like Garten of Bad Bad and so on… but yea that definitely needs some work

WHAT I LOVE/LIKE

1-Songs are catchy as hell, love em

2-Love the art style, while yes there’s too much red even though this takes place in the pride ring it doesn’t make my eyes bleed so far, character designs are good too, not to completely bland but also not too complicated

3-The fact that this started as a pilot on YouTube that became a series is impressing

-People keep blaming Amazon and A24 for the poor pacing, but I've seen several shows with 8 episodes in one season (or less) and manage to pace their show fine. Helluva Boss also has terrible pacing issues. the issue isn't Amazon, the issue is that Vivziepop saw that she had a limited run and instead of compromising, she crammed in as many ocs and story elements as she could, rushing the plot and creating unsatisfying conclusions for moments that should have more chemistry

-And yes I mean more chemistry. I mean an actual girl on girl that isn't giving light cheek kisses and holding hands. Viv writes her queer men and male/female couples having sex and grinding on each other, but her only female/female couple is so bland that people sincerely had no idea they were lovers. They barely touch each other, they barely discuss the things they like about each other, half of their scenes is just Vaggie (incredible name for a lesbian btw) being exasperated by Charlie's antics, it's not charming. Vox and Val are also a nothing couple, but they're more physically intimate than anything we've seen from Chaggie. I've seen countless shows handle female/female couples well, adult cartoons have managed this for years. Viv failing to give her queer women anything to work with is disappointing. she clearly has a lack of interest in relationships if they don't involve men.

-Yes, people HAVE told me that I should accept Vivziepop's terrible queer representation. when I expressed grievance for Helluva Boss lacking with its queer women (in terms of visible representation and how they're written) fans harassed me for two days, called me a bigot(??), pulled up random background characters to debunk my point and claimed that Hazbin Hotel would be more female focused therefore have good queer female rep. But it didn't, it's ass. I expected it to be bad because I knew the only reason they became a couple was simple because someone asked Viv to make them girlfriends (who originally planned to make them unrequited), and it SHOWS in the writing. As a lesbian I'm allowed to be disappointed by the poor representation.

-Yes, I don't like Viv, I sincerely think she's a terrible person who is mistreating several of her animators and hurt a lot of good people. Fans can keep insisting that she's some poor victim unfairly criticized by the masses but I know for a fact that she is in fact a very paranoid, vindictive and mean person who's straight up ruined lives. She's an anti feminist, her work is incredibly racist at times and her refusal to condemn a storyboarder for sexually harassing a 15 year makes her unnacceptable in my eyes. Even without her incredibly horrid behavior that seems to come to light monthly, the way she conducts herself online is pathetic. She's bad with criticism, she mocks and rudely subtweets critics, she lies constantly to deflect criticism and she's so threatened by other artists that she thinks basic redesigns constitute has "harassment" and has blocked some artists over it.

-HOWEVER, I am opposed to dismissing someone's work simply because I don't like them. The only reason I watched this show was because when I critiqued the pilot, fans rushed to tell me that I should wait until the show is officially out, and then express my thoughts. I dont agree with people who give the show grievance without even bothering to watch it (like the claims that Hazbin "romanticizes" Valentino, I hate how the show handles him, but its absolutely not romanticization). I still regard Helluva Boss season 1 as flawed but pretty fun and enjoyable, I enjoyed some of her characters and I do think Hazbin structurally flows better than HB, which felt messy and unfocused in its second season. Sorry I didn't write a 4 hour video titled "Hazbin Hotel is garbage and here's why" to express my thoughts on my own tumblr account which is just me writing my personal thoughts and not feeling obligated to make a professional thesis statement about a show that says rape is bad and then follows up with a character being dragged into a crowded room to be non-consensually gangbanged

-Criticism is normal and natural, and it's not healthy to perceive all media criticism as inherently malicious simply because the woman who threw a fit over "My name is Caine and I am your bitch" is so threatened by it

whelp i finished Hazbin season 1. Don't plan on watching more of it, just wanted to see if my theories about it were correct (they were). It's not very good, and feels like an adult cartoon made for children. Its pacing is poor, the characters range from decent to terrible, the dialogue is bad, there's too many plot inconsistencies and the approach to Christianity feels incredibly juvenile and poorly thought out. Just watch Moral Orel.

Ahh okay dream 1

These will probably be pretty condensed cause its just one of those dreams where you had to be there....

So, the first dream somehow i was casted into a new mini series tv show. And we basically filmed the pilot or the first couple of episodes not thinking much, but the pilot leaked? and went viral online. It was insane. 

I was the only person in the main cast who wasnt super famous and they just happened to take a chance on. It was me, cole sprouse, lili reinhart, maybe kj apa?? although im not sure, and connor woods like fibulaaa. 

And it was basically riverdale hahaha. But so much better. It was like a dark drama where we were solving mysteries, well we hadnt gotten that far but the pilot was the exposition of a mystery that we were going to come together to solve. We were a group of young friends, and we were sitting in a park/parking lot and talking and connor was throwing a basket ball around the group.

And the color scheme was very filmy and aesthetic and the writing was amazing and most importantly i sounded natural and organic!! Like im literally not an actor lmao, but i did a good job. 

So we filmed it, idk if it was the teaser that got out or the pilot but basically. Something got posted on twitter and it blew up, and it was like INSTANT fame for me. Like i was gaining 100s of thousands of followers, people were looking up everything ive ever done and trying to make connections to the show and my career, it was fucking insane. 

I posted something in regards to the show, and a random person found a bunch of my film pictures which apparently i had some with connor and sally darrs whole group and they put them in the twitter thread so now MY film pictures were going viral. And people were starting to ship me and connor and say like “ooh theyve been friends maybe thats how they got the role”

And i was like omg how did they find those!! Also yes connor and i are friends now but when the pictures were taken it was like our friend groups first time hanging out with connor and sally darrs group and i just happened to take pictures cause i was excited and they really liked us and i wanted to make it look like we were longtime friends. 

So it was crazy. I was on the phone with people flipping out that i went viral. Dalvin even came up to me and was like woah arielle you were cast in “whatever the show was called” and i was like yeah!! and he was like thats so cool. 

At one point i was in hs and m*d* came in my class and i was trying to show her like look, this tweet went viral and im on this show and she was like 

“Does bri river like those people?” and i was like what???? i dont know i don’t follow her, to support you wtf?? How is that the first thing you ask me when im doing something successful like how are you making it about you? (except i didnt say all that just the first part) 

Anyways, everything was happening so fast and i was so excited and because it was going viral it was a big indicator that the show was gonna be picked up and we’d get to film more epsiodes and it’d be popular. It was coming on TV and i was like “woah i didnt even know it was coming on tv yet??” 

I was excited for the press runs, like i wonder what my outfit is going to be and its gonna be so fun to do all of this with like cole sprouse and lili reinhart like im gonna be recognized as a huge actor this is insane. And people were so curious about me because i was the only nobody. 

ahhhhhhhhhhhh isnt that insane!! It was so fun and exciting and i was so happy.

Oh and VERY IMPORTANT, before i fell asleep i SPECIFICALLY asked spirit for help on career path and.....whats my purpose and am i supposed to be applying for sm jobs on linkedin. soo.....don’t know what this means yet. But in addition to my tswift and renee rapp dreams. ALso the dream where my dad posted a tweet that went viral on twitter. Somethings...brewing :)

u can take this as a theory or a headcanon but anyways ive been thinking and what it mk isnt human OR demon. his entire past is a complete mystery, all we know is that

1: he hasnt always gone by mk (one and possibly only reason being his name is incredibly long so he shortened it to match with his idol)

2: he has worked for pigsy for 2 years

i find it interesting how mk of all people was selected by monkey king to be his successor. i mean in the grand scheme of things, before he grabbed the staff he was just another guy doing his job. it could be his friendship with the reincarnations/descendants of his past traveling companions, or it could be for another entirely different reason.

something that strikes me as odd is that mk was able to perfectly control the staff and his powers when he was fighting dbk, but not before or after. it could be because he was in a life or death situation, or it could be because he wasnt focusing on the fact that his powers arent his. in that moment he truly believed he was the successor of the monkey king, and so he was able to use those powers without any problems. of course thats still a theory, theres no way to confirm why until it's said so in canon.

another thing is how did wukong know mk was worthy of picking up the staff. he said that he had been watching him but for how long? i doubt just the pilot episode, it has to have been much longer than that. wukong doesn't seem like the type of guy to hand out his power to just anybody, especially some dude who delivers noodles for a living.

i could go on and on and on about this and trust me, i want to, but for the sake of the people reading this im gonna continue on to the main point. mk isnt a human OR a demon, hes a being that was made to hold the power of the monkey king. in short, i believe mk is a celestial primate of some sort. i dont think he was born from stone, but i DO THINK he was made to be one. lady bone demon called him a monkey even though throughout the entire series hes been shown as human.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT POINT. in the lego sets mk has a monkey form, and it wouldn't make sense for him to just randomly become a monkey after months of having wukongs powers, that sort of thing would happen either right away or gradual changes. or it could. im not the writers so i cant say anything for sure. maybe ill make this an au. pre-mk mk was just pure energy until he gained a vessel. or he was a baby monkey created by the residual energy from macaque and wukongs fight in jttw that was diguised as a human and sent off into the world. my brain ran out of juice sorry its 1:30am

My thoughts on House of the Dragon 1x06

Book spoilers and show spoilers

This episode felt like a second pilot to me with the introducition of the children and the time skip. I had not the feeling that it was rushed, it was simply a lot to cover up and you can't fit everything in.

Rhaenyra: First it felt strange to see a diffrent rhaenyra but at the second rewatch i thought this is a very good change she is stronger, wiser and better versed in politics. Needless to say emma d'arcy is incredible beautiful, she gives rhaenyra a vulnerability and confidence that the  younger version was lacking (which is alright because she was a child). You belive she is a mother of three children and she loves them all very much. But she is under a lot of pressure due to the childrens true heritage. Sadly the reason why she did not at least had one child with laenor is not explained. Their relationship seems to be one of we accept the other one as he is and play the happy couple in front of the court but behind closed doors everyone does as he pleases. That sounds good in theory but they have reached a point where it isn't working anymore. She has put herself in a dangerous position with that. The relationship to alicent has grown downright hostile over the years and every offer of peace from rhaenyra gets thrown out of the window. So when she decides to leave court it is a good decison for her family but a bad one for her positon as heir to the throne. I think if she had stayed, in the moment viserys dies alicent, larys, otto or chole would have had her and her children killed. So in the end it's better she left. Plus her whole relationship with daemon could have not progressed the way it does later if she had stayed at court. In ep. 5 i thougt that the marriage with laenor would be a good thing but now i think he is not the right man for her. He can't help her in her quest for the throne. She is without allies at this point. I think it's clear that she needs daemon very much because he will fight for her and protect her. A very good entrance for the new rhaenyra can't wait to see more of her.

Damon: I did not expect him to be depressive it looks like he has given himself up. The only time he was happy in this episode was when he was riding caraxes. This is not the same daemon we got to know and seeing him like this is hard. He is clearly heartbroken. But i think that despite that he loves laena and his kids. He is trying, teaching his children giving them a peaceful life far away from the court and conspiracys in westeros. It's a good life but he is made for so much more. I think he cares for laena even loves her he is devastated when she dies and when faced with the same chice that viserys has to make in ep. 1 he simply can't do it to her. I expected him to be happy with his family like he was in the books. But i feel at this point we have strayed very far from the books. Daemon and Rhaenyra are the main pairing from the beginning, which makes sense because they are both playing very crucial roles in the dance. But that does not mean they have to downgrade their other relationships. They even go that far that laena says she knows that she is not the woman that daemon wants. And she is fine with that what the hell? The other thing that bothers me that there is nearly no physical intimacy betwen them (the same goes for harwin and rhaenyra) They have 3 kids together ther shuld be more but then again i think they are saving this for Daemon/Rhaenyra. I myself think that there is nothing wrong with having more than one love in your life because that's what life is.

I look very much forward to the next episode when he is back in westeros.

About the deleted scenes: I dont understand why he can't hug his kids on screen. They filmed it why leave it? Also daemon being bisexuell, why not.

Viserys: he looks not good and he lost an arm. Alicent has her claws in him and tries to undermine him at any given oportunity. He loves his rhaenyra and turns a blind eye to her illegimate sons. He seems to have no close realationships to his other children. And when rhaenyra leaves at the end of the episode he is now truly alone. He is a character that i did not like at the beginning but that has changed. I think his death will make me very sad when it comes i think in ep. 8. What is the meaning of the rat in his room? It's the 3rd time that we see it. Is she one of the the reasons why he is so ill? Do the producers think they need to remind us that we are in a medival world? Or does it mean cheese is working sloopy or is not there yet?

Alicent: She seems to have turned even more bitter over the years. Her only goal is that aegon succeds rhaenyra. I understand that she is angry that rhaenyra takes libertys that she never had, but knowing how this all will end i can't understand her point of view. She has gatherd allies over the yars with larys and chole who each have their own motivation. And with rhaenyra gone she holds the power at court. Removing harwin and his father out of the picture to isolate rhaenyra and robb her of one of her gratest allies was a cruel move. Even if she did not expected larys to do it. She has unintentionally cleared the way out for daemon to step in that role. Can't wait for her reaction when she sees them back together.

Ser Crispin: God i hate him. What a poor image of a man. Why is he still a kingsguard thank god he is not lord commander like he was in the book.When he called rhaenyra a spider and a cunt i wanted to punch him in the face. Really enjoed that harwin did that but he should have broken his nose. Him doing all this out of spite because she rejected him and blaming it all on her what a cliche. Taking it out on the children was a really low blow. He is alicents guard dog now it seems. Worst kingsguard ever. Are there really people out ther who like him?

Larys: We had a lot of villians in thrones but no one killed his own brother and father (except of ramsey). But why did he do it? Did he hate his family or is he just power hungry. I can understand a bad guy but i need to know why he does what he does.

The Children: Not on board with aegons wigg. Was that window scene really necesarry? He seems not to be interested in taking the throne. I guess alicent will push him very hard in that direction. Aemond is bullied around by the others i guess thats why he turns out to be so deranged. Luke and Jace are just cute.

The Dragons: Having a dragon burn his own rider is quiet cruel and i did not like it. It seems to me they did it to shock the audience. Vhaegar looks like a really old lady that just wants to have her sleep. She seems to be slower than caraxes. Seeing him and vhagar in the same shoot was some cruel look in the future. We finally get to see the dragonpit from the inside and its dark and moody, poor dragons who live there. Little vermaxx reminded me of rhaegal.

The costumes are very beautiful, the costume department has done an amazing job so far.

The episode was good and the focus was on the recast characters and family dynamics. 3 of 5 stars. Because it's another episode that i will not rewatch a lot.

wait actually i have more to say about this. most (obligatory disclaimer, see above, etc) of the inconsistencies in shawns character/talents can be explained through 1) commitment to the bit 2) hes a lying liar who lies 3) he has adhd and 4) he never went to college AND his mom left when he was halfway through high school

shawn knows spanish when it is relevant to the bit. shawn doesnt know spanish when it is relevant to the bit. shawn lived in argentina (fact; henry confirms it) but we have no idea for how long (shawn could have lied about that) and have no reason to believe that shawn not knowing colloquial spanish while in mexico or while playing chad isnt him Just Pretending. remember that this is a man who once looked someone dead in the eye and said "im not really a necklace guy" while wearing a clearly visible necklace

shawn having a box of math trophies from elementary school & being able to do rapid backwards math in the pilot/for his stupid psychic demonstrations but not knowing how to do basic calculus in a different episode makes perfect sense. mental math is a totally separate skill from calculus and if you've been trained in in/deductive reasoning since age 5 and are inherently good at rote memorization it is effortless. you dont learn calculus until at least sophomore year of high school. for a lot of gifted kids, high school is usually when school gets hard and they are at highest risk of checking tf out mentally or giving up. you actually have to study now! and while some kids get over that hump and figure it out by grade 11 or 12, shawns mom had already left at that point, cueing all the deliberate acting out to get back at his dad. and he never went to college! there are a lot of other skills we take for granted that dont really come up/you arent exposed to until you start college! idk i just think this is a fun character point about shawn everyone often forgets

shawn being excellent at high level pattern recognition and narrative-weaving but being terrible at puzzles? adhd. shawn having a perfect memory but forgetting to do the dishes when jules asks? adhd. shawn having a bizarrely sophisticated vocabulary but misremembering the actual meanings of lots of basic words? not strictly adhd, but "ive decided i need to read this random hard-level book Right Now, and now i know all of these big new words in context but never had the patience or commitment to look up the meanings" is just .... such a classic move lol

this may just be because ive always been the kind of writer/audience who values narrative closure and sticking the overall landing more than i do keeping all the little details straight, but i just feel like from a writing perspective its actually kind of clever to commit to a character like this, bc you sort of cover your own ass really well as a result. your pov character is inherently an oxymoronic contradiction in most of the things he does -- and he earns it -- and so when you actually do sincerely mess up continuity ... you kind of have enough of an alibi that it doesnt matter, lol

not to say that psych doesnt have continuity errors bc it absolutely does (as is the natural case with any weekly cable show that ran for eight years) but id argue that it gets away with a lot more than its peers bc of the fact that its main character is a professional liar. 70% of the stuff that comes out of shawns mouth is either an objective falsehood or total nonsense made up for the bit. when he wants you to think hes smart hes smart and when he wants you to think hes stupid hes stupid and when it is even slightly funnier to lie than to tell the truth, he will absolutely pick door number one, every time

the flashback of mary dying/house burning is pretty similar to the canon

we get to see some of sam and jess’ routine while top of the world - carpenters plays (yes thats a bcs reference, leave me alone). they wake up together, eat breakfast, go to the campus, have their respectives classes, lunch with their friends, go back to their apartment, watch something on tv and later order some pizza or chinese food for dinner.

sam never came out to dean because she didn’t think it would do any good, besides that she didn't really think they would see each other again

no need to say dean looked pretty confused meeting sam wearing a silk nightgown when he broke into her apartment

“dude why are you wearing women's clothes?” “‘uh, it's more comfortable” “and why is your hair so long?” “i’m letting it grow to donate to the cancer hospital”

jess knew that sam didn’t come out to her dad but considering the way sam talked about how close she and dean were, she thought sam would have came out to her brother so she looked very confused watching dean calling sam brother/dude/guy/jess’ boyfriend and sam just acting normal

cis play throughout the episode but still the elephant in the room

when dean is driving her back to the apartment she comes out to him. he doesn’t get it at first so sam has to explain like he’s five (“wait so you’re saying you’re a girl” “yes” “but you said jessica is your girlfriend” “she is” “so why did you became a girl if you’re not gay?” “*sights* i AM gay dean, i’m literally a lesbian”)

they exchange numbers, dean ask her to call after the interview to tell him how it went, sam asks him to update her about the search for dad etc. everything looks* great

everything looked* great because in the next minute all sam can see is jess pinned on the ceiling and their house on fire

PHANTOM TRAVELER

in the moment they find they’re facing a demon, dean would recognize, verbally, that sam's a better demonologist than him (“it looks like sulfur residue, your department” “uh?” “sammy both of us know you’re the demon nerd here, my latin sucks”)

when they’re exorcising the demon and he starts describing how jess died, it’s much more graphic and gory. sam almost throws up

also when sam is reading the rituale romanum, her nose starts to bleed. dean asks later what was that and sam says it was the high pressure but she knows it wasn’t, because everytime she says sacred words she feels some physical discomfort.

the friend of sam that was being incriminated of murder his girlfriend would be gay (we would see on screen the difference of the policce threatment with queer people and with cishet people)

in the moment they see that the case is in a religious small town in Iowa, sam puts her cisplay outfit

lots of flashbacks addressing their religious trauma. sam blessing the water, even though there’re already stocked enough, even though it made her dizzy, because she knew there was something wrong with her and these little rituals were the only thing that helped her feel less wrong, less dirty. dean on the other hand, tended towards the Epicurean paradox (“oh fuck it sam, just think for a minute if god exists and it’s all love and goodness, why would he created the evil we face every day?”

a scene of sam praying???? i mean sam winchester is the second most catholic character in media after matt murdock and i dont remember one (1) scene of sam praying in cw canon????

lori being much more comfortable with sam cause she feel more connected with the good christian “boy” than the bad boy with a leather jacket and sharp tongue

so there is that moment that lori flirts with sam, but she rejects her cause a) her girlfriend just died and b) lori was saying stuff like “you’re so kind, it’s hard to find boys like that nowadays” (kind of a deal break). after trying to kiss sam and she deviates, lori asks if is sam “a homossexual” and she is taken by surprise and just starts babbling “uh no exactly, i mean yeah but not like that i mean..”

HOME

dean hyperventilates in the moment they park in front of the house

sam and dean having a little argument about how unfair was this demand from dad (and dean) for sam to have the same grieving relationship with mary that they have (“how can you say that? she was our mom!” “dean i know it and i love her for it. I'm only saying that i was a 6 months old baby! i don’t have any memory of her face other than photos”)

when mary shows up, her ghost is not in that whole madonna-martyr looking, but has burned skin, charred hair and her nightgown is glued on her body
