something i just noticed in the preservation art for the trailblazer

so we have the trailblazer and the jarilo-v characters that helped us the most at the end yada yada yada we all know this.

BUT-

look closely at the colors.

serval and gepard are a yellowy-beige color, which fits pretty well with the whole fire theme of the artwork.

but seele is indigo, which is a very sharp contrast. you cant say its just because of her normally color pallet being purple, because serval and gepard also have cooler colors in their design. and they were still made beige.

bronya, is more of a light brown-ish color as opposed to the same pale beige for the siblings. which, the cooler color could be written off due to her proximity with seele, but i am overthinking this so i'm electing to ignore that fact.

serval, gepard, and bronya are from the overworld. seele is from the underground, so obviously she won't fit in; even in the trailblazer's splash art.

but bronya isn't from the overworld. she was raised by cocolia there, but she came from the underground. just like seele.

bronya has spent the majority of her life in the overworld, and has only recently become aware of where she really came from.

and that's reflected in the colors. the overworlders are light, warmer colors, the underworlders are darker, colder colors, and bronya- despite still being a light, warm color- is visibly darker than the landaus.

if i really wanted to get metaphorical, i could say something about how the light colors could be a reference to how the overworld has an actual sky with real daylight, whereas the underground is significantly darker by comparison. but i feel like that would be stretching it a bit too much.

So. Apparently halfas are like phoenixes or something, which Danny would’ve really liked to know. 

See, usually with ghosts if they’re forced to retreat to their cores they reform as was, but apparently, since they’re still partially living, schrodinger's people and all that, halfas have to regrow their body from scratch. At least that’s what he’s understanding from Frostbite. 

But how come he has to deal with it? It’s Dan’s fault for trying to pull such a stunt! Oh, it’s either him or Vlad? Well fuck, he might have calmed down and is going to therapy in both the living realm and the Zone, but he’s waaay not equipped to raise a child except for like, monetarily wise. 

Well dammit, how long will this core incubation thing last, he has his new job in… let him check which offer he accepted again… He has his new job in Coast City that he needs to finish packing for and then all the rest of the stuff to do. 

What do you mean it’ll take months?! He doesn’t have months?! Urgh, fine. At least being a mortician isn’t that exciting, nor dangerous. Just hand him Dan’s core and he’ll figure things out for the living side of things. He’s sure Tucker and Sam wouldn’t be against helping, if only to try and claim favorite aunt or uncle spots.

(mgv) for a not-so-insignificant portion of his life, house was terrified of being suggestible to the alpha voice as john wasn't afraid to supplement his punishments with them so house would be physically incapable of not complying.

the first time wilson used the voice on house in a fit of frustration after house's incessant needling regarding wilson's obvious lack of life fulfillment ("you're not happy, you're just married."), house was genuinely afraid. he avoided him for days. wilson, mortified by his own loss of control and desperate to apologize, did Not let this be what killed their friendship, effectively (accidentally) sabotaging his own marriage to bonnie by prioritizing his relationship with house over his relationship with her. again.

i seriously need more narumi and mina moments because just imagine the relief mina felt when narumi joined, similar age to her and was also considered a prodigy in the force.

to have someone to share the burden of the defence force’s future with must’ve felt so freeing. because before he joined it was just her, age 18, being told that she was going to change kaiju extermination with her exceptional synergy with firearms. and she was so, so scared.

narumi doesn’t have the kind of skills or talent for long range combat like she does, but he’s also a top candidate (despite his behavioural issues- which aren’t much of a hinderance anyway) and mina doesn’t have to carry the burden of the future alone anymore

(although she’d never admit, given she probably views narumi as someone completely shocking i just think it’s so funny how she stood there like O_O when she first saw him)

like i LOVE seeing the contrast. mina who was sent onto the battlefield for the first time and was deathly afraid vs narumi who was sent out and immediately took action because that’s how he always lived (fighting)

and now they’re the top two strongest captains in the force and they will be the ones to lead the new generation..
