i will never stop being confused about people saying og lloyd was maltreated. like. what the fuck are you talking about. it's not maltreatment if you verbally and physically abuse and harass the people around you and then people start avoiding you and talking shit about you. that is called Consequences Of Your Actions and it's literally the least og lloyd should've gotten for the shit he pulled. like. someone very well could have decided not to take his bullshit and beaten his ass easily at any point. but they didn't. no one ever fucking did. javier is the closest we ever get to that and it was one (1) punch to get him to stop destroying someone's home and business. show me where is the maltreatment. cite your sources. tell me where can i find it. if you're gonna say something with your whole chest please tell me you've at least read the source material and aren't just explaining your headcanons as if they're facts. show me the fucking receipts ajsdhksf

i think its really fitting that the "this shit........ is so ass :'') " anime girl reaction image is from oshi no ko because that is also what my expression was like the whole time while reading the entire last third of the story

#theres like what. one or two chapters left? we are almost free. we are almost free #i hope they make the adaptations better. its such a weird ass manga #like it started solid albeit full of hashtag anime weirdness so a bit of a hard sell #and then like for a while there it was just like a genuinely good showbiz drama. the best arc was the stageplay arc we know this #although one thing about it that ive always noticed. for a manga with a premise about like. isekai idol revenge thriller. its like #so uninterested in idols? like while the showbiz entertainment industry drama was pretty great at times it like. ignored the idol side #like it did a tiny bit of stuff here and there but by the second half it had completely forgotten about it LOL #im curious if the anime and live drama will expand that more. the anime has lots of like tie in idol songs ive noticed #MY THOUGHTS on how the finale's been going: the character motivations are genuinely incomprehensible to me now like #the antagonists motivations and character and everything got so deflated i couldnt track it anymore #BUT i do think its bold to kill off ur protag like that. was it done well? not really no LOL #BUT it was bold. i think my eyes were so glazed over around then that such a last minute turn like that... it kinda ruled <3 #i think theres been leaks about the last chapter or two? which i havent seen yet. but yeah rn thats where my opinion is #still love the music from the anime tho even tho i never watched it. also again even though the character motivations got like #so muddled and deflated by the end that i dont even know what the eye star symbolism is going for anymore -#I STILL think those eye stars rule thats a really great 00s shoujo manga esque character design choice #edit: TURNS OUT THE LAST CHAPTER WAS OUT i read it.... :') this shit. truly was ass

I have an 8 hour flight on Friday and my brain says for the love of God just use it to whip the 8k you have of chapter 4 of the black sails fic into shape but my heart says give into temptation and start writing a wistful fitzier fic — but if I do that, if I give into temptation now, when will the black sails fic be finished if ever? ah i could not help myself. checked onk for a detail on the movie arc and ended up rereading the entire movie arc, then bit the bullet and read up to current. not as many chapters as i thought considering how long ago i was "caught up" and that onk is a weekly?? i guess there were breaks. almsot made me think it was a monthly series. with how little there was

tbh if i had waited til the end of the year that would have been perfect. it rly seems like there are not many chapters left. even where i left off tho, it was enough where again i wasn't dying to know what happened next, so i can wait for it to finish if it finishes this year :) maybe spoiler-y rant in tags for past 5-6 chapters

#fucking simeon bro.......#i cant yap too hard without doing spoilers so heres another tag to fill space lalalala #ot1 spoilers #octopath spoilers #ANYWAYYY it starts with primrose coming back to her hometown which is already pretty strong #seeing a guy Fucking dying which is a great way to establish the harm done by the obsidian people and establish their power #.because if they didnt have a great amount of political power simeons entire motivation would fall through #but in the flashbacks he was sooo fucking good the writing (+ eng translation) did a good job of creating a gray area #between 'nice guy who is also courteous because primrose is a noble' and 'creep who might have a slightly overbearing crush on this kid'#bc shes like. 8 right ? and hes old enough to work as a gardener w/o his parents also being in service of the azelharts #so probably 17 at least?#ok um. i just looked up his age on the wiki and i dont know what the fuck is going on there #i didnt spoil myself but why is he 126.#anyway i actually feel like thats worse 💀#and then his breakdown calling himself primroses one true love..#shes so good i love the contrast between everyonee calling her beautiful + whatever the fuck helgenish and simeon were doing #and her showing no romantic interest in anyone. romance repulsed icon tbh #3 people this chapter were like 'lady primrose you have grown so beautiful since we last saw you' and shes like 😐#coming back around to simeons twist villain shit they went OFF reinforcing primroses performer theme #'the crowd gasps' etc etc. DAMN BRO #a lot of her story is theatrical drama coded ime. like with the ending narration saying 'tragic or happy ending'#she does seem like a dark take on a princess archetype which is cool #anyway the actual use of the game is good here too #the dark screen after she gets knocked out with the perfectly timed music??#and the flashbacks and the use of the titles on peoples speech bubbles #because the shift from 'simeon' to 'simeon the puppet master' kind kf made me lose it a little bit #RIGHT BEFORE the flashback where hes just 'gardener' ? yeah thats a banger #overall this is fairly simple good storytelling but it all comes together along w the actual game mechanics to make one of my...#... favorite chapters so far. plus im really excited for her ch4 now.

Update: May 2 -> Currently outlining a storyline! I couldn't decide which fandom I wanted to do so I'm just doing a self-indulgent crossover.

Update: May 12 -> Got an idea for an Optimus-centric story. I'm keeping my original storyline but I'm started to plan out this new one.

Update: Jun 1 -> Nevermind. Currently rewriting a story of mine. I think that'll be the chosen one. Though, I have seven planned chapters so I dunno how the hell I'm gonna do it.

Update: Jun 28 -> Nevermind x2 lol. I'm continuing on with the Optimus-centric story. It was inspired by Not A Prime Situation and it's a really good book, I highly recommend it. I asked permission from the author to start writing and I got it so chapter 1 is in the works! (P.S. I'm gonna wait until after all 21 chapters are finished to start posting just in case I lose motivation halfway and stop writing for 2 years again.)

Update: Nov 6 -> Sorry y'all, suffered through multiple depressive episodes and a massive writer's block. I'll try my best to write this though.
