important distinction.

Testing a few different things with this one

Ooh thinking abt martin reruns reminds me of all the times I had white gen x teachers go on and on about how my gen wouldn't know anything abt good times & martin and it would drive me nuts bc they wouldn't accept that those kinds of properties cross generational lines in the black community. Oof uhh wow this is awkward you kinda tagged most people who Ik for sure do tolerate me so I can't tag them myself but oh well. Here's a bit of nonsense from Melkor's thoughts.

Manwë intended it as a kindness, Melkor could tell. An attempt to ease the burden on his heart and mind. An attempt to make Melkor calm down again, under the assumption that everything will be taken care of. But on some level, it was a dismissal. His brother saw this as some thoughtful, generous compromise, no doubt. To have all responsibility taken away from the both of them and redirected elsewhere. And what would it matter at all, he supposed, if they'll never see each other again? Melkor couldn't help but see the hypocrisy in it, though. Manwë, who had the gall to lecture him time and again about the importance of family, was putting distance between them again, in an attempt to keep their relationship cordial, before its inevitable severing. What right did he have to speak of family ties and connections, while trying his hardest to cut them himself?
