Ooh thinking abt martin reruns reminds me of all the times I had white gen x teachers go on and on about how my gen wouldn't know anything abt good times & martin and it would drive me nuts bc they wouldn't accept that those kinds of properties cross generational lines in the black community. Virtually every black person alive in the last 50-60 years w access to television knows what good times & martin is. That's just culture

#the one where a teacher was going on abt how we wouldnt know what martin is drove me nuts bc we were in ACTING class that time #i actually got a lot of flack from ppl bc i was like 12 and my fram of reference for sitcoms was 20th century shit & disney kidcoms like i #was not tuned into most modern things but my teacher wanted to go on and on abt how i couldnt possibly know what a show #that wasnt even 20 years old at that point #.. was lol
