the theory of law that says it matters a lot what the particular text of a given policy says, what loopholes the specific language might leave, &c., is best described as "LSAT prep" or perhaps "wishful thinking." the actual practice of the law is not a rhetorical exercise, it is a power negotiation; these executive orders are written to signal clear intention to judges & create chilling effects for people who are bound by the law but not empowered to interpret it. the viciously transmisogynist executive order signed yesterday says "at conception" because it's a popular phrase among people who oppose abortion, & the violent repression directed at trans women is connected directly to all other attempts to subjugate women as a class, not least by suspending safe, legal access to reproductive care

Executive dysfunction often looks like laziness from the outside. There's so much more to the story.

What It Looks Like: What It Really Is:

Only being interested in career paths that require lots of higher education while also having really bad executive dysfunction due to AuDHD is such a weird combination.

Like, i want to learn everything and I'm so interested in everything, but i can't actually sit and study anything.

uh yeah. Magolor finally forms a bond with the lor and becomes its captain for realsies this time

he spends his time exploring and studying magic/dark matter/gem apples and if their power can be safely harnessed

he also just goes on side quests a lot. he may be reformed but he will still do a lot for a quick buck lol

he’s mastered his dimensional magic as well, which is why his cape looks like that :>

on the other hand, sailor is the new captain of the halberd and leader of the meta-knights. most of their job is taking down monsters but there is the occasional rogue wizard to stop from destroying the world or unleashing dark matter (huh, sounds familiar…)

they are usually very busy with work but make an effort to visit dreamland frequently in order to stay close to everyone. she’s always been a little distant from the rest of her family but i think she opens up a bit more after she, Bandee, and Kirby all start taking leadership positions. gives them something to bond over

by this point meta has retired from fighting completely but he’ll still give sailor advice when they need it. she appreciates having someone around who knows just how tiring a job it can be, and he’s very proud of her

oh, and one more thing

yea i let them get married. what are you gonna do about it? /silly

they don’t get to see each other much because of their jobs but they’re a thing

Ok, as previously established, I very much enjoyed Thunderbolts*. This post is in no way trying to minimize the movie or its characters.

however

if I see one more person talking about how it was so groundbreaking to have a superhero on screen where their superpowers don’t magically fix all of their problems and actually give strength to making those problems worse, I am gonna riot I fear.

While I would argue it’s not necessarily groundbreaking to superhero stories, generally. It makes me mad when people say this bc it’s not even groundbreaking to the Marvel universe. This exact concept was literally done so well in Agents of Shield (multiple times!!!!), upwards of like 9+ years ago… like… please I’m in the trenches here

New ADHD medication kicking in hard. I decided I needed to put away my clothes today and did it, without even having to set an alarm on my phone for when to start.

Then I realised my room was dusty and went downstairs to get the rags and duster, found we were out of polish, and was out the house to go buy more in less than 5 minutes.

Noticed the sink was full on my way out, though "I'll sort that when I get back" and FUCKING DID. And still remembered to go upstairs and finish dusting afterwards.

I feel like I've been possessed.
