What I think each of the Robinsons would dress up as for Halloween 🎃

Bud: Headless horseman. He goes with the interpretation that has a pumpkin for a head and, of course, he puts in on backwards.

Fritz and Petunia: Fritz wears a more old-timey get up with a dark color palette and has Petunia look like a creepy, ghostly doll.

Joe: He doesn't wear a costume at first glance, and when asked the family's response is "He is wearing a costume, he's dressed up as a *chuckle* 'regular Joe'. Get it?" Either that, or I can also see him wearing a classic vampire costume.

Tallulah and Laszlo: Duo costume. Since Laszlo flies around all the time he dresses up as an angel, while Tallulah dresses up as a devil. Which would be a role reversal of sorts for them since he's usually the troublemaker of the two while she tends to be the voice of reason.

Billie: Since there's this connection often made between psychopomps and different modes of transportation (boats, buses, and of course, trains) I can see her dressing up as the Grim Reaper.

Lefty: A Kraken, pretty self explanatory.

Spike and Dimitri: Since their whole thing is how they are literally just heads poking out of the dirt, zombies.

Lucille: I headcanon her to be a chemist, so I figure she would dress up as a witch, formulas translating into potions in this case.

Cornelius: Frankenstein.

Carl: Frankenstein's monster. Again, these two are pretty self-explanatory.

Franny: Either some kind of bog/swamp creature or the Phantom of the Opera. Radically different costumes, but I think either one would be fitting for her given her love of frogs and music.

Gaston: His whole thing is cannons, so I can see him dressing up as a pirate, specifically an undead pirate captain who went down with his ship, because of course he would also come up with an elaborate backstory for his costume.

Art: Kind of a reach, but I can see him dressing up as a werewolf, because he works in space, and the moon, and well...you guys get it.

Tiny: The family gets him a pair of wings, comically small of course, and he's a dragon now. He loves it.

Buster: The family gets him one of those little pumpkin dog costumes.

Wilbur: A ghost. Either he goes with the classic white sheet with eyeholes, or he gets Tallulah to help him get some old timey clothes, face paint that makes him look dead, and chains ala Marley's ghost. Either way, he uses a pair of hover-boots his dad invented to fly around.

(no offense to Petunia, I love deeply flawed characters, but she's notoriously shallow, a social climber, judgy, etc.) Anyways, if Lily was a social climber, why would she have stayed friends with Snape for so long? That likely only hurt her social standing. As for judgemental, she was a teenager, most teens are judgemental and most grow out of it, that doesn't make them terrible people. she also wasn't even that judgy!

Lmao very possibly. Even Snape strikes me as more of a social climber than Lily personally, because of his friendships with Mulciber and Avery and his joining the Death Eaters. Anyway I just think it's the anon's belief that women are judgy, shallow, materialistic, opportunistic gold digging harpies, which makes them leap to unreasonable conclusions. Many such cases.

Also yeah, I find her righteous/judgmental streak pretty endearing and realistic honestly haha, and quite understandable. Harry and Hermione both have a similar thing and I find that endearing too. And, as you say, in Lily this not even that bad to begin with, especially when tempered with her obvious kindness. Like I think people like anon have a complete inability to put themselves in Lily's position and instead over-identify with Snape. They show him empathy and understanding but afford Lily none of the same. I totally understand why one might identify with Snape in many ways but not to the point of being unreasonable and misogynistic.

It's as if the expectation on Lily is for her to be some sort of flawless angelic being who is perfectly compassionate and understanding towards Snape in all things, to the point of unrealistic altruism and disregard for herself. But then people also complain about her being 'too perfect and flawless.'

i’m out here on my hands and knees BEGGING people on tiktok to find a singular hobby outside of staring at their phone and speculating on whether or not their favorite celebrity couple broke up based on absolutely nothing for no clear reason.

a) these are real people who you don’t know and their romantic lives are NOT anyone’s business but theirs, consume their art and be happy

b) spreading rumors, regardless of what they are about, is harmful and not beneficial to anybody. you don’t even know these people, you are not in a position to begin telling people what’s going on in their lives when it could be very well completely made up and you were gullible enough to believe it

c) there is simply better things to do with your time. go read a book, watch a movie, paint a picture. i used to be one of those people who was obsessed with celebrities personal lives, and after a couple months of stepping back from the internet in general, i realized how much more fulfilled i felt after doing things that have a clear benefit rather than staring at my phone all day speculating about people i don’t know and will maybe meet once, in which meeting they would be probably creeped out to learn that i sit around talking about them and their partners all day with other strangers online

Someone tell me the necessity of y'all expounding on Harry's abuse at the hands of the Dursleys for thousands of words and leaving him there for as long as possible in your fics if not for abuse fetishism? I totally get having that in his past and having it referenced, but do we need to see it in real time?

For me, it's kind of how I don't read sexual assault fic or stuff with heavy racism. I just don't understand writing that into your world, spending time detailing how truly terrible these people are treating the main character, in this case Harry Potter.

And I just—if you're completely rewriting the story and clearly fine with changing major elements, why do you see it as critical that Harry goes back to his abusive household every summer? Like I get that logically he would go back there if no one knew about it, but once literally anyone knows you cannot convince me that Harry is spending another second in that fucking house. Depending on what Hogwarts House he's in, the Dursleys may not even survive.

And I'm not saying I need the Dursleys to die or anything. But mayhaps we get Harry the fuck out of that house. Maybe we get home somewhere with some people who will feed and clothe him.
