i've been watching two seasons of 'Twin Peaks' this autumn. it feels like i've lost another genius and discovered his works for myself too lately, even though it makes no sense: there's plenty of Lynch's fans and many of them, i suppose, were touched by the same pictures and footages as i did

and speaking of the community (or communion) – the most impressive thing for me in 'Twin Peaks' were those moments of unexplainable or forced human connections (through common dreams, messages, predictions – the Log Lady and Major Briggs, Sh. Truman and Agent Rosenfield) and the scene where everybody is involved into grieving – when Maddy is being killed. they came for a confrontation, for a date, for dancing, for some personal business – but suddenly the music stops and everybody is crying

soooo as a dostoyevsky reader i define it as an example of sobornost. common feelings, soul connection. impossible to translate you know. yet still you get me. and David Lynch does too, i'm sure as far as he's connected to the Moon
