Do people still hold certain grudges within the gang?

the gang are practically high schoolers damn straight they hold grudges, some hilarious, some tragic.

Molly and Karen would probably be afraid of each other if they didn't argue. If they are in the same room there will be snarky hissed comments about Molly's instagram career being just a modern era pin-up girl/derogatory, meanwhile Molly now gets to clap back with 'at least I have a job'. They do actually consider one another friends and Karen is very protective of Molly (it's that classic VDL guilt of being too drunk to protect her in Beaver Hollow. Molly's death hit Karen hard).

It took Sadie a hot fucking minute to process that everyone suddenly loves the O'Driscoll. Unlike most of the gang she didn't have the revelation Kieran was actually a good person who deserved so much better after his death. The gang had to call her out on scowling or glaring at him for months, and Kieran was still completely terrified of mad woman Sadie Adler.

She did come around once she realizes Kieran and Jake are very similar brands of soft (difference is kieran would help her hide a body, jake would faint). Kieran and Jake have been besties for a few years before Sadie timewarps, so sometimes Sadie is just stuck having to be her protective feisty rdo self shouting at people to leave her malewife and his pathetic soft wet cat friend alone.

Sean does still call Arthur 'English'. Arthur increasingly puts emphasis on the annoying part of his and Sean's annoying little brother dynamic. He also calls Isaac 'Little England'.

Micah and Arthur consistently escalate to physical violence when they're allowed in the same space for too long. They don't hate each other per se - Arthur just thinks about all the times Micah was directly responsible for shit that happened in rdr2 and feels the need to punch him, and Micah still has this whole idea of being better than Arthur and will fight back.

John and Javier are the only two who are firm in not talking to Dutch and blame solely Dutch for most of what happened in rdr2. No amount of Dutch growing as a person and acknowledging the hundreds of mistakes he's made will make John and Javier forgive him for his actions. John no longer hunts at all anymore, because the concept of hunting for sport makes him physically ill.

omg lmao it is mostly stuff i have mentioned in previous posts about how we were analyzying harvey (in the pilot, mind you) as a peak of hegemonic masculinity, referencing his posture and composure and dress and behavior etc. we've been reading scholarly work that argues that harvey is a peak of masculinity and that ties into his ability to always win, versus louis is always losing control of himself and is more "feminine" therefore he is always the loser in every situation where him and harvey are going head to head.

some people in the class (myself included) have to write a paper about this, and although i disagree with it for the most part, i am not allowed to write about contradicting evidence from future seasons because 1) the TA grading it will only be watching season one and wont give a fuck about harvey and sean cahill being gay as fuck and 2) i do not want to dox myself as someone who has watched the whole series in case they decide i should write about a different tv series instead bc i know too much about suits already.

also it is hard to explain to my professor (middle aged man - a cool middle aged man, but a middle aged man nonetheless) that harvey specter is tumblr babygirl pathetic bisexual wet cat coded without sounding insane to him and to the rest of my class that is so not on tumblr.

however i did manage to make most of the paper about his dynamic with donna.
