Wait, so if modifications like being a seeker don't come naturally, how does getting those modifications increase lifespan? Are there bots that have an affinity for those mods that just happen to have longer lifespans on average? Something about energy usage? Curious.

Oh, it doesn't increase lifespan it decreases lifespan often by more than half.

cybertronians have two main factors that determine their lifespan frame functionality and their spark energy. Cybertronian frames are tough and last longer than any human technology ever could, but that doesn't mean they don't need repairs and Maintenance, especially with how harsh Cybertron's environment is. This is why the average lifespan is so different from the max. With the war and slowly dying planet, their not enough medics or resources for repairs to go around, and many more ways to get grievously injured or die.

As for sparks, sparks have a finite amount of energy. Most sparks will last around 100 thousand years, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. Anything above 125 thousand is some kind of outlier or a non-standard cybertronian. Once a spark has burned out, its essence will return to the Allspark, where it has a chance to re-emerge again into a new frame with no memories of any of their past lives. Returning to the Allspark is kinda like a recharge for sparks.

Lifespan does have a link to energy usage since a spark energy is finite. Bots that have powerful abilities that use spark energy or use weapons add-ons that pull from spark energy often have slightly shorter lifespans because of this. Seekers' lifespans are often shorter because it takes extra energy from the spark for them to function, shortening their overall lifespan along with the modification, making them more prone to frame failure. They are remade for war, not a life after war. Theirs a reason why autobots don't usually fly, well at least not in robot mode.

Captain Marvel Prompt, GO!

The JL are having trouble with some magic users causing issues, so they call some magic users including Captain Marvel to deal with it. They end up having a bit of troubel so Cap calls in the best person to help. His brother obviously.

The JL had no idea he worked with other people and have no clue what their relationship is, but they're welcoming. Meanwhile Freddy is having the time of his life finally getting to know the JL and getting to work with them. This is his first anything with them and first imprssions matter.

Flash forwards, they manage to find their base. Its some casino like thing that anyone is invited to. They are about to go in when they are to that the buliding has some sort of power nullifier. So while it dosent take away their powers completly, they can't deppend on them and the supers are basically regular people with a very small boost that is barely noticable.

No problem right? They can still fight just fine with out them. And its not like they are taking their wepons away. It will be fine.

-It was only chance that you had been seen after Blackbeard and his crew tried to kill Whitebeard, without success as Whitebeard blew them all back.

-Ace and Whitebeard were both lucky to walk away from that battle with their lives, they both had new scars to show off, but they were both alive.

-Marco had seen a child on Blackbeard’s ship, tendrils of something black swirling around you as you had broken a window, crawling out of it, like you were trying to escape.

-He easily swooped down, using his talons in his phoenix form to grab you, much to your shock and he picked you up.

-You cried out in fear, looking up and your one good eye went wide, seeing the flaming bird above you, before you heard Blackbeard, “Give me back Y/N!”

-Marco felt your flinch of fear, looking down to see you trembling in fear and he knew he wasn’t going to leave you with Blackbeard.

-Once on the ship, Marco took you to his room, carrying you so carefully, so gently, he could see the tears slipping out of your eyes as he smiled softly, “Nobody is going to hurt you again, Y/N.” you had never known such gentleness before, it was strange and kind of scary.

-Marco took you to his room, which was warm feeling and he put you on his bed, kneeling before you, “I need to go help the others. Will you stay here for a while, and I’ll come get you once we’re safely away from the area? You can sleep here if you want to.” You were hesitant in answering, a bit unsure of him before you mutely nodded.

-He ruffled your hair gently before leaving you in his room, closing the door behind him and you tipped over, feeling the softness of the bed you were on. It felt so nice. You couldn’t help but curl up and fall asleep.

-Hours later, after all wounds had been dealt with and everyone was safely away, making it to one of Whitebeard’s islands, they were all quickly celebrating, drinking and eating.

-Marco returned down to you, finding you up, looking up at the bounty posters he had on his wall, “You’re up- how do you feel Y/N?” you didn’t know how to answer, something he was able to tell before he picked you up, holding you up on his hip, “Let’s get you cleaned up and we’ll get you something to eat.”

-He called some of the nurses who were quick to rush to him, seeing the child he was holding, cooing over you like you were adorable while you didn’t react, looking back at Marco, who you knew was a safe person.

-Marco just smiled softly, “They’re gonna help you get cleaned up, I would but…” the nurses explained while giving you a bath that men, unless they were your father or something, shouldn’t give you a bath, and once you were clean they found a clean dress for you, but no shoes, and brushed your hair out.

-They checked your wounds over, finding bruises that signified shackles, not only around your wrists and ankles, but around your neck as well, as well as new and old bruises, whip marks, and what looked to be knife cuts in your back.

-Your eye that was heavily scarred was useless, you couldn’t see out of it. The thing that worried them was that you seemed numb, telling them that you had been tortured and abused for who knows how long. Long enough to abandon your emotions to keep yourself safe, but they couldn’t tell exactly how long.

-They told Marco everything and you could tell he was angry, hearing about what you, a child, had gone through, but he picked you back up, holding you close as they all headed back upstairs where the party was.

-Needless to say, seeing Marco walking out with a child in his arms was not what they were expecting, eyes wide as the party froze, everyone blinking in unison.

-Marco headed over, all eyes and heads following him, to Whitebeard, who was also surprised. You had never met someone so big before, but like those in Blackbeard’s crew, you didn’t feel afraid of him, you didn’t feel afraid of any of the people you were now surrounded by.

-Whitebeard reached down, taking you from Marco, pulling you up so you were sitting on his lap, “And who are you?” you looked up and answered in a soft, but emotionless, “Y/N.”

-Whitebeard had lived a long life, and he knew a hurt child when he saw one, but he kept his mouth shut about that at the moment before Marco spoke up, telling everyone how he found you on Blackbeard ship, escaping out of a broken window.

-Many saw the bruises on your wrists and ankles, from shackles, and many grew angry- fully ready to hunt Blackbeard down again, not only for what he tried to do, but for what he did to you.

-You didn’t seem to have any emotions, even when Ace brought you a mug of juice and some cake to eat, like other kids who would be all smiles and cheering. You just sat there and ate quietly, worrying the others on how you were acting.

-Marco then spoke, trying to get you to interact a bit more, “Y/N- what was that black thing that was helping you get out the window?”

-You lifted your hand which turned black, almost like ink, and it morphed into different shapes, “Ink-Ink Fruit- it helped me. He always made me do bad things with it.”

-Eyes narrowed, which made you flinch back, your ink returning inside you, thinking they were mad with you, but Ace was quick to hug you close, to reassure you, “We’re not mad at you, Y/N. We’re pissed at Blackbeard- I can’t believe he would treat a child like this! How long have you been with that bastard?”

-WHACK!! Marco was quick to punch the top of Ace’s head, sending him to the ground while pulling you up into his arms, “Language!” which caused laughter all around the deck of the ship while you were confused.

-You looked at your fingers before holding up four fingers, “This many years I think.” Looking at your size, they estimated you to only be about 8 or 9, since you had been malnourished, meaning you had spent over half your life, almost, in Blackbeard’s clutches.

-Whitebeard stood, a foreboding aura surrounding him, “Teach- he’s going to pay for this!” a roar of cheers rung out around him as everyone agreed. You were confused, looking up at him, wondering why they were all so upset and willing to help you.

-Over the next few weeks, the crew, who had adopted you, everyone except for Whitebeard becoming your big brothers, as Whitebeard became your papa, had been treating you so nicely, helping you heal, trying to teach you how to be a normal kid, since your childhood had been snatched away from you.

-They had a chance to see your abilities in action, you could control the ink to create full bodies, creatures that looked like devils, but cute, like something a child would draw, as well as weapons, shields, and the tendrils which were like arms to help you in various situations.

-You had expert control over your ability, as you had eaten your Devil Fruit when you were very young, but also ‘thanks’ to Blackbeard, who would beat you or let one of the others beat you if you did something wrong, you had learned quickly how to control it, to avoid beatings, which still sometimes came, just to keep you in line.

-It was strange for you, being on the Moby Dick, you never knew hunger since coming aboard, everyone aways made sure that you ate your three meals and would always give you snacks, which sometimes would cause fights, as your appetite would be ruined for an actual proper meal.

-You had your own room, between Marco and Ace, with a soft, warm bed, all for you, you had clean clothes and you got to bathe on a regular basis. It was almost like paradise for you.

-You never hurt again, other than the few shots you had to get, to help boost your immune system, but those only hurt for a bit. It was strange to walk around with no pain, as not a day had gone by without you being in pain and to have that now gone… it was weird.

-You had been gently forced into participating with your big brothers, sitting with them at mealtimes, joining them on the deck to watch others train or to enjoy a party, and they would include you on their, child friendly, conversations, asking you your opinions on things like your favorite cake flavors.

-Whitebeard knew this was going to be a process, one that was going to take a lot of time and patience, but he could see that you were trying, at least a little bit, seeking out certain members of the crew, like Marco and Ace, whom you felt the closest with, and you weren’t as hesitant to answer questions as you had been.

-Whitebeard smiled when he saw you peeking out the doorway leading to the deck, looking around before you spotted him. He smiled warmly at you as you trotted over, your face as neutral as normal, but he noticed your eye did look just a bit brighter.

-He grinned, setting his mug down as you peered up at him, “Hello Y/N- what brings you out here today?” you lifted your arms up, silently asking him to pick you up and he grinned, reaching down with one hand and picked you up with ease, setting you on his knee, “Will you tell me more about Rock?”

-Whitebeard grinned, as he had been telling you stories about his past, when he was in the Rock Pirates, and to see you asking him for more, it was a sign of improvement, seeing you asking for something, rather than taking what was given to you, something they had been working on.

-Whitebeard paused, seeing you look back towards the door where he saw Vista, Marco, Izo, and Ace all giving you a thumbs up, as they had encouraged you to go ask the old man for a story.

-He chuckled warmly, seeing the truth, but he didn’t mind, as you were taking it step by step, as he told you of a raid that he and Kaido took part in, working together, after they had snuck off after Rocks told them not to.

-You gazed up at him, listening to his tale, and he remained silent, seeing the small smile on your lips, seeing you finally smiling for him.

Demon Reader X Autobots

Part 4

Months ago, there was an interesting person who joined the autobot team. They were not human nor cybertronian. They were a demon named (Y/N).

No, they were not here to hurt the humans of the team, but they were there to just hang. They helped the autobots and, surprisingly, the decpticons to.

They gave them a rare gem that made them have the ability to turn into a human. Not a full human but a cybertronian disguised as a human.

This helped the autobots a lot since they were very bad at hiding in the more population areas. Though they were still a demon, they loved to cause chaos. They gave the gems to the decpticons as well, which caused them to hide in the human race just like the autobots.

Neither side knows what (Y/N) has been doing, but they were to focus on eschother then the demon.

Which leads us to today. The autobot team has been struggling with wepons and energon. So, (Y/N) decided to help them the best way they know how.

Stealing a whole military arsenal and bringing it to the autobot base.

They made an excuse that in hell, they have a bunch of spare wepons but it was not true.

They don't need to know, though. (Y/N) also made sure to add a bit of their demon powers to the wepons so it's more powerful and can change sizes depending what size the autobots are.

Optimus

When optimus received his new wepon. He made sure to take a good look at it.

It seemed to be a better version of a shot gun (since I think that is what his weapon is, can't tell if it's a shock gun or a double barrel shotgun)

He tested out and messed with it for a bit to meet his needs.

Once he got the hang of it, he thanked (Y/N) for the gift.

He never uses it, though. He only uses it as a last resort since he is not gonna kill for the sake of it.

Ratchet

Ratchet received (Y/N) and looked surpised.

This was a huge ass sniper gun! (If it is, if not, sorry)

He was confused since he was never on the field fighting.

Though, he was thankful for it when he was on the field one day and had to use his sniper to shoot at a decpticon.

Now he keeps it with him all the time.

Arcee

Arcee was a bit confused on the gloves she received.

That was intel they transformed into swords. (Since that's what they do right? If not sorry, I'm really trying here.)

She was surprised since he already had swords on her arms.

That was ijtel she realized she could use them as a sheild to if she holds her hands together.

She just became more bad ass.

Bulkhead

Bulkhead was excited when he received his weapon.

He was a wrecker and getting a massive hammer as a weapon was awsome to him.

He had to get use to it though since it was heavy but once he understood how to use it, he used that weapon everytime he can.

When he learned he could send a wave of electricity guy charging it up by swinging it, he fell in love with it.

Bumblebee

When he was given a sword. He was excited.

Since he dident have knife hands or arms like the rest of the team. Like hell, even ratchet had knife hands.

He immediately trained with it, getting it down.

He did forget it a few times when he went on missions since he is not used to having a weapon.

The team loved their gifts and used them. The kids thought it was awesome and asked for weapons. Optimus told them they couldn't have weapons. Though, it doesn't stop (Y/N).

(Y/N) gave Raphael a pair of glasses that worked just like normal glasses, but he can also use them as a hacking device since they where intelligent glasses.

Jack got a sword that can turn into a wip if needed to. (Mostly because I see jack being more of a mele weapon then a fire arm person)

And miko, miko got a hammer just like bulkhead. Though, just a tad difference. Mikos hammer can also transform into a suit around miko if she needs to fight a larger decpticons.

(Since you know, the tfp episode where she was able to have the metal armor)

Honestly I don’t understand the hate around Snape. He is similar to the other professors, he is a mirror to Harry and Voldemort. He is a reflection of the entirety of the wizarding world.

Remus - Snape: Both poor halfbloods that wanted to belong somewhere. One got genuine friendships, the other got a shallow friendship & groomed into a cult.

Harry - Snape - Voldemort: Halfbloods, Abused. One was the ‘chosen one’ got friends and had a support system, the other became a dark wizard enslaved and killed people had a resemblance of a support system, the last was lost until he found his way again saving the wizarding world but had zero support system

McGonagall - Snape: Both strict teachers who had a bit of bias, made some bad decisions

Dumbledore - Snape: Both lost someone they deeply cared about and turned away from the dark path they were headed on. Sacrificing themselves for something bigger in the end.

Umbridge - Snape: One was a slytherin that lied their way into a position of power physically hurt children took pleasure in it and pretended to be a nice person while really being cruel. The other a slytherin that was kind at heart but so utterly broken that he built up a wall around himself so he came off as cold and unfeeling towards others to protect himself.

I could go on. Snape is the complexity of the wizarding world and its inhabitants as one singular entity. Why hate him? He is a complex character with a broken background. A man who fell only to get back up again and help save a world that never cared for him. Yes he made questionable decisions, but so does everyone else. Snape is the most realistic individual in the series. He is relatable, he is broken, he isn’t perfect person he doesn’t try to be. He tries to live his life the best he can but he hates himself for living when his childhood best friend didn’t. Can we just. Stop the hate? You can like characters and not agree with all their actions. You can dislike characters and not discredit the good things they’ve done.

Most importantly. If you don’t like a character you shouldn’t weaponize their looks, social status, trauma, etc. People relate to characters on deep levels on different things. Maybe it’s their looks, similar experiences (whether traumatic or not), their social status or standing.. by weponizing these things about a character you don’t like you’re bringing out insincerities of real people. Trauma should never be dismissed whether fictional or not. You shouldn’t make fun or insult someone (fictional or not) based on looks or if they’re of a poor status. Do not victim blame characters or real people.

Gather/trader- This would lead to Duke having an wide range of knowledge of stuff from medicines to wepons and jewelry, he would be more familiar with the woods then most people giving him a tactical advantage, he would also be really good at figuring what people want/need and how much they're willing to do for it. He would be really good at selling stuff including Ideal such as freedom and Justice. He also would have a assortment of skill sets he learned to get stuff to sell. For example he would be a good climber to get rare fruits but he'd also know how to get snake venom without being bite or how to tell the value of gems. He could also help Wally and Tim by gathering herbs and plants that are used to heal.

Goldsmith- This would lead to him being good at noticing details often seeing things others don't/can't , while he would have a basic knowledge of wepons he would know more about crowns and symbols. He would work close to Royalty and develop a unique understanding of Kings and Queens. Duke would be less likely to trust someone who wore symbols of power than someone who wore symbols of humbleness or kindness. He and Jason could discuss their shared knowledge of symbolism.

Blacksmith- this would give him a good understanding of different kinds of weapons and armor. He be able to most likely predict his enemy's fighting style and personality based on their wepons and Armor. Many people would believe that Duke could see in the future because of how good he was at reading people. Damian would be impressed by Duke's understanding of wepons.

Scout-suggest by millylotus "A scout maybe, he was spending a lot of time looking for his parents around Gotham in canon & his dad(Doug not Gnomon) would take him around to buildings he's worked on" this would give him a good knowledge of the land and the relationship between kingdoms as well as his own people. He could help navigating for the knights once he moves to shadow birds.

Farmer- he would be good at surviving off the land and devople skulls that could help the kingdom during times of crisis such as famine or plauge, most farmers are also very self efficient. Duke would also be good at reading the land and knowing the weather. He could predict draughts, bad storms, or drops in temperatures. This would make him a good Allie during times of war as he could help forge battle plans around the weather.

Tavern Worker- This would lead to him having good people skills, also a tavern is a great place to over hear information and most revolutions are started in bars or Taverns. He would als be a good person to share your problems with. This would also lead to Duke being good at telling when someone was hiding something. Plus this is another job that may cause some people to believe he can see in the future because of how good he was at reading people. Damian probably wouldn't be to big of a fan because of how good Duke is at reading people.

Grosser- similar to the trader but less traveled and more into tuned to the economics of the kingdom and what the people need. It would led to him talking with Bruce and Damian a lot but I could say the same with Gather/Trader.

Whatever trade was probably taught to him by his step father Doug. Dukes bio dad was a noble under the twisted king. Duke is a Revolutionary so what ever skills he has developed will go into helping him with that.

🪞He can hear your heart beat, and he finds it intriguing that it changes to match the person you're copycating, like that person's blood is now yours.

Yes, they're deities, but there's always a way to 'defeat' them/bring them down a notch... ;)

Those who are in the God adjacent tier has control over their multiple powers while those in the Supernatural tier have a one purpose power.

Ishtar is above the Supernatural folks bc she has contol over the pests she brings into the world.

Barbatos and Exael may not have powers, but holy cow these two can go head to head with some of the folks in the tier above them and win.

Despite being in the human tier, all 6 of them are very capable of their profession and dealing with the other neighbors.

Chester is an interdimentional time traveler who adapts to his surroundings, Orcus has Yan Luo plot armor, Abducius and Yog are absurdly capable of self defense and can fight w/out the use of a wepon, but will use one if needed/have on hand, and Orcus and Teutates are the same as previously listed, but prefers to use wepons than anything (Both have guitars that turn into scythes)

Danny is Gotham, ending 1

I love the idea that Batman accidentally adopts Gotham.

This is how it starts:

I lay on the ground, my blood covered the floor, my brain slowly got more and more submerged in a haze and I couldn’t remember why that was bad.

I need help, I decided. But who to call? Dick’s on holiday and I gave Alfred the day off. Jason wouldn’t know anything was wrong and would hang up, if Babs is busy with… what? I felt the black grip onto my mind, I had passed a point of no return; goodbye Gotham

“Gotham…” I whispered

It took me longer than normal to fly through the ghost zone, I had gotten hit my mums latest ghost wepon. I was a halfa so it didn’t obliterate me but I had taken a day to recover and now had a horrible cold.

I flew through a portal and into Gotham and hated how much of my energy that drained. Then I got there and froze, Batman was bleeding out, I don’t know how I didn’t notice usually when someone is this close to death I notice- oh the cold.

I quickly ran over to Batman and picked him up, pulling him through a portal to the ghost zone and freaking out. My parents would notice and probably think he’s a ghost, Sam and Tuckers parents would think he’s some creep, I mean he must have a house right? Some base of operations? I’ve never tried to find it out of respect.

I crouched down and spared some of what ectoplasm I had to keep him from dying. Being around me and with me actively trying to heal him would be enough to keep him just barely alive, just barely, and that’s ignoring what it would do to me.

Honsetly I didn’t know if I could find his secret base. So my sickness riddled brain did the next best thing. I went to crime alley.

Okay, okay, hear me out. That place had so much death that it was full of ectoplasim! I hated to bring him there but I could not think of another place where we could both do this and survive.

So now I hauled a very dead looking Batman through a window (too exausted to use a power other than flying) and gave a glare to a guy who looked at us. I’m pretty sure he thought he was high.

I woke up. I woke up? I was sure I was dead. How did I- Gotham, I called Gotham.

I sat up and opened my eyes with a groan, I really hoped this was not where Gotham lived; mind you he was a ghost of sorts, he probably didn’t live anywhere.

I made the mistake of looking towards the window and the small amount of light that actually got through was enough to start giving me a migraine.

Someone moved against my side and I freaked out

“Sorry.” Gotham groaned, he rubbed his head and slumped against the wall “Too weak to heal you without physical contact.” Gotham grunted. I noticed the glow that usually surrounded him was gone, and for the second he had them open his eyes actually looked closer to blue than green.

“Are you okay?” I asked, I couldn’t help myself from glancing towards the window “Did something happen?”

“What? Oh the weak thing is completely unrealted to the city.” Gotham reassured, not that I didn’t trust him but I just needed to see for myself that nothing had happened. Gotham gave me a small glare “Stop staring at a migraine in the making and lie down please, you’re hurting both of us.” he said with a groan. My eyes widened “You’d be dead if it wasn’t for my ectoplasim, your still dying.” Gotham said and sure enough I looked down to see gaping wounds in my side,

“How am I alive?” I asked

“Courtesy of me.” Gotham said snarikly, then he passed out onto me.

I looked at Gotham, he was definitely a ghost of some sorts. Then I pulled him up into my arms. I clicked a button on my belt and waited for Alfred to show up.

It took a minute but the sound of the Batmobile coming to a stop in the alley was a relief.

“Alfred.” I called weakly. He climbed up to the window and stared at me, I managed to shock Alfred, oh wow that was new.

I felt my energy draining and I pushed away from the black “Can’t take him away from me, physically.” I said, okay now time to pass out.

When I woke up, Gotham was curled up into my side and both of us seemed healthier.

“It has been two weeks master Bruce. Rest assured Bruce Wayne is at a ski resort in New Zealand.” Alfred said, Jason appeared from behind me “I took the liberty of calling everyone and informing them of the situation.”

“Explain.” Jason ‘asked’

“I told them the kid is Gotham by the way.” Dick mentioned

“Honestly I don’t know the whole story. I was dying and didn’t know who to call so I called Gotham. I woke up in a condemned apartment -I assume Gotham doesn’t have a house because he is the city, if he needs one he’s staying here- Gotham woke up too, explained that he saved me and temporarily connected us, so I called Alfred and then I woke up here.” I explained

“Lets wait for the city to wake up.” Damian said

“I was dying not investigating!” I argued, I noticed most of the people in the room flinched when I said dying so I decided to not bring it up again unless necessary “Is there a reason Gotham is still here?” I asked

“B has a point, Gotham has a better disappearing act than any of us.” Dick said, I nodded in confirmation

“Master Gotham hasn’t woken up yet.” Alfred said “He was shivering and was cold enough that your body heat would be helpful.”
