i am getting my hysterectomy and my trip to japan next year and no one can stop me
#mine#well. the main reason i want to go to japan is to see my favorite band so i suppose it will depend on their concert schedule#but the way i see it is#either i get a job in another city and i go there and get surgery in maybe spring or summer#and aim for japan closer to the end of the year like maybe october...?#obviously it will also depend on PTO policies but thats not for me to worry about right now#if i have to use my backup plan (which involves doing paid volunteer work at a school here in my shit city)#then i get surgery most likely early summer when the school year ends#then spend a couple months recovering which puts me at being ready to do other stuff around august#so actually i guess probably japan in the aug-oct region depending on surgery + weather + concerts#i wouldnt wanna get a job straight after surgery and have to spend 2945388 months accumulating PTO for japan i want to just go#so...we'll see...#would love for 2026 to be my spanish speaking vacation year...probably mexico but ill consider other countries too#well. thats all a ways away anyway

Imagine Going To A Pumpkin Patch With All Might
Yagi "All Might" Toshinori X FemReader
Rating: G
Warnings: None it's all fluff
Word Count: 2.1k
(A/N:) I had a lot of fun writing this if y'all couldn't tell by the word count. XD Slowly but surely I'm breaking down the writer's block wall so keep being patient as I try to write all my Halloween ideas and not make them crappy! Until next time happy reading! ~Countess
The hallways of the college were decorated for Halloween and excitement could be felt through the whole building as students discussed plans and costumes. While Halloween was one of your favorite holidays you were not as excited this year as you didn't know if you were going to get to spend time with your boyfriend. Dating All-Might, Japan's most anticipated hero, had it's difficulties. Not just from the fact that he was an exchange student but he had become super popular, not just at school but the surrounding area. He had a heart to help anyone and everyone. It's one of the main reasons you liked him as well, but sometimes you wish that you both could spend more time together. You sighed and readjusted your books, when said books were scooped from your arms.
"You need to invest in a book bag," a deep voice spoke.
You laughed, "Why would a I purchase one when I have you around?"
"I guess that's one of the reasons why I am here," All Might agreed while wrapping your shoulders in one gigantic arm. "Thinking about anything in particular?"
"Just Halloween. It's coming up quickly and I honestly don't know what I want to do. It's looking like I'll be staying in and watching scary movies."
"You don't want to do something together?"
"It's not that I don't want to with you, but you are always so busy and need I remind you that you are pretty far behind in your studies," you elbowed him in the ribs.
"You and Dave keep reminding me about my school work," All Might grinned sheepishly.
"That's because failing grades are scary Toshi. It is Halloween but that's no excuse."
"Think the teachers will give me a break if I tell them I'm tardy all the time because I'm doing hero work," he sounded hopeful.
While you knew some teachers understood, you could think of at least two or three who more than likely sold their kind hearts for a strong cup of coffee.
"It's not looking good for you," you finally replied causing the giant of a man to groan.
"That's besides the point. We'll spend Halloween together no matter what happens," Toshinori straightened up lifting you up with one arm while the other still held your books. You laughed slapping at his arm.
"Even if someone needs the great All Might," you asked and he deflated. "I'm teasing. You wouldn't be you if you didn't drop everything to go help someone."
You brushed dust from his cherry blossom jacket and picked a few specks of debris from his golden hair.
"Want to go and do something together today," All Might set you back down.
"Let's make a deal. You do really good in your classes today and we'll go to the pumpkin patch once we're done. I've been wanting a couple pumpkins to carve and I heard they have all sorts of fun things to do and delicious treats. It's a little bit of a drive but I think it'll be really fun."
"Sounds like fun let's go. But we aren't driving I can get us there much faster!"
"I thought you couldn't fly," you glared thinking that he lied to you when you first met him.
All Might raised his hands in surrender, "I can't but I can jump really high and really far really fast."
"Do you want me to get whiplash?"
"You'll be safe I promise," he flexed and you couldn't help but laugh.
"Okay I trust you. It'll save me some money in gas anyway and I'll get a big bag that you can carry so we can bring everything we buy back to the dorms."
All Might walked with you until you both arrived at the door of your first class. He handed back your books and leaned down enough to where you could kiss his cheek and he returned one on your forehead.
"See you after school," you whispered already missing him as he turned around.
"It's a date," he waved his broad shoulders seeming to hold up the hallway alone. You worried one day those shoulders would carry too much of a load and break him down.
Class always seemed like it went by really fast but since you had plans that you were excited for, the day dragged along and you were beginning to get antsy. Impatiently you were the first out of the door and headed straight to your dorm to find a bag for All Might to carry the pumpkins back. You eventually had to borrow one but you found a smaller backpack for yourself so he wasn't the only one being treated like a pack mule. Racing through the halls and exiting out into the courtyard there stood the larger than life hero in training. He was doing squats and jumping in place, warming up for the journey.
"You made it," he grinned widely and you couldn't help but smile big in return.
"I did and I found a bag," you held up said bag. "It should be big enough for you to wear and have plenty of room for a couple of pumpkins. I also brought a bag for myself because it wouldn't be fair to you."
All Might scoffed, "Who's the boyfriend here?"
"Obviously not you," you retorted and he laughed loudly.
Shrugging on the bag he opened his arms waiting for you to come close. An autumn breeze brushed past you causing you to shiver.
"Hold on I need to go grab a hoodie."
Before you could race off All Might slipped off the bag and removed his plus ultra jacket before holding it out towards you. You started to protest but he plopped it onto your shoulders and waited for you to place your arms in the sleeves. Once you did he nodded in satisfaction and put the backpack back on. He waited again with his arms stretched wide and this time you stepped close. He scooped you up carefully, cradling you close to his warm chest. He gave you a gentle squeeze and brushed hair from your face before he braced his legs and jumped into the sky. You screamed taking handfuls of his shirt in your hands and clung to him tightly. Your hair whipping around in the wind, it felt like you both were floating before he started plummeting back to the earth. You screamed again, causing him to laugh. You could have punched him if you could release the death grip you had on his poor shirt.
"You didn't say this would be that scary," you screeched. "We keep falling and I'm pretty sure we just left my stomach on the ground back there!"
"It's fun! Open your eyes!"
"Absolutely not I may lose those too!"
"You won't I promise. I have everything in control okay."
You eased your eyes open but you didn't ease your grip. Holding on tightly you gazed at the sky you both were soaring through. The ground seemed so far away but the view was amazing. Birds passed by, squawking in annoyance at the man in their skies but you finally let loose laughing and screaming every time you both would fall back down towards the ground. True to his word All Might was in complete control. He never crashed down and he made it to the pumpkin patch gate in record time.
Placing you back onto solid ground, he held your arm until the jelly in your legs solidified. The elation and fear had you so wobbly it took a long time for your nerves and adrenaline to calm. Laughter came from children and adults of all ages inside the fenced in area. When you were finally ready All Might took your hand, lacing your fingers together and lead the way.
"I've never been to something like this before," he said while taking in all the sights.
"Never," you seemed surprised.
"Japan guy here. I came from a big city," he replied.
"Sorry I forgot," you flushed in embarrassment.
"It's okay. What do you want to do first?"
"Let's pick out pumpkins last, cause there's so much to do and with it being your first time let's explore everything," you pulled him towards a petting zoo.
With goats, bunnies, pigs, and animals of all shapes and sizes All Might got to pet all sorts of little animals. The rabbits were both your favorites as their ears reminded you both of All Might's hairstyle. A goat tried to eat his jacket he was letting you wear. But when a volunteer brought you both handfuls of food, the goat forgot about eating your clothing. After the petting zoo you saw a few games everyone was playing. All Might won first place in the strength game and fortunately asked for the smaller prize since you both would have to carry it back to the college. Next you spotted a corn maze and you both bet on who would make it out first. You were in the lead for the longest time until All Might jumped into the air and landed at the end startling a bunch of parents and children. It took thirty more minutes until you made your way out to see him standing there with a couple bottles of water and a smug grin.
"You totally cheated," you accused.
"I reworked the rules," he replied holding out a water bottle to you.
"Cheater cheater pumpkin eater," you taunted and he pulled the bottle away. "Okay okay I'm sorry!"
All Might chuckled giving you back the water bottle and kissed your cheek gently. His stomach rumbled and you decided it was time to get some delicious treats. It was starting to get late and it would take some time to make it back and the college did have a curfew for the students. Sipping on hot apple cider and munching on kettle corn you and All Might finally made it to the pumpkin patch. Orange gourds as far as the eye could see and you wanted the two most perfect pumpkins.
"Divide and conquer," you asked tossing your empty cup into the trash can.
All Might shook his head, "I rather us enjoy this together. We already made the corn maze into a game. We won't get to stay much longer."
"Hand in hand then."
He nodded. The sun was starting to wane as you both looked amongst the rows for the best pumpkins. All Might spotted one first and with a nod of approval from you he plucked it up and placed it into the bag on his back. Not much longer after him finding one, you were able to find one. Perfectly round and orange it would become a perfect jack-o-lantern. All Might took it from you once you picked it up from the ground and placed it in the bag with the other pumpkin. He didn't let you get far before taking your hand again. Making your way to the entrance you paid for the pumpkins and said goodbye to the volunteer.
All Might scooped you back up and instantly was back in the air. You weren't as scared this time, though you still clung to him tightly. The weightlessness feeling and the warmth of All Might was comforting. You gazed across the horizon as the sun set further. The sky transforming into an orange and lavender sky, you could smell the new season in the air. All Might gave you a light squeeze as he heard you sigh. You didn't want the day to end and as he landed on the campus lawn you wanted to go back in time immediately. You gave him back his jacket and turned to go back to the front doors when All Might spun you back around. He kissed you deeply there on the front lawn. His cheeks wind kissed and your hair tussled into knots it was perfect. You didn't know what had happened to him, to bring All Might to America but you were thankful he was there every day. You held on tightly, not wanting the kiss to end but eventually you had to pull away. He brushed a tangled lock away and gazed at you lovingly.
"I'll see you tomorrow," you asked.
"Tomorrow," he replied before kissing you again. "And the next day and after that and after that and forever after," he laughed still giving you gentle kisses.
"I'll hold you to that," you warned teasingly.
"Please do."
When you closed your dorm room door, you melted. Halloween had become one of your favorite holidays once again and you wanted to spend every single one of them with All Might.

My Pride Month Watch List
In celebration of Pride Month, I've decided to watch some (or a lot) of the stuff I've been meaning to watch and want to watch. My list will include current watches, what I want to rewatch, and things I want to watch for the first time.
Here are all the things I will watch this beautiful month of June (in alphabetical order because, yes, I'm that person):
Current Shows
These are shows I’m currently watching and the ones I know I am starting this month.
At 25:00, in Akasaka (Japan)
This is nearing its end. I've enjoyed it so far (despite the dead fish kisses). Not one of my favorites, but definitely enjoyable.
Blue Boys Part 2 (Korea)
Part 1 was so good in terms of the chemistry and overall vibe that I'm excited to see part 2 (which is set to be released sometime this month).
My Stand-In (Thailand)
One of my favorite current shows. A naive (but slowly growing) main character, a scum male lead (whom I absolutely love), beautiful cinematography, grief is present (and I love that shit because it's like therapy for me), angst, supernatural elements, etc. It also has Up Poompat and Poom Phuripan in the main roles. I just love it.
Knock Knock, Boys! (Thailand)
This show started this week with the first two episodes, and it exceeded my expectations. I went into this series wanting to watch it for Seng (who is an amazing actor) and Best (who has something I can't quite put my finger on that pulls me in every time I see him). So far, after only two episodes, I already love it for the chaos (and I’m sure more chaos will come). Also, it includes a loud and proud pansexual character! I love both him and the representation.
Love Sea (Thailand)
It's about a writer (which means I have to watch it) and about the sea (which I love). And not just the sea, but diving as well (I love that even more). I'm starting this as soon as it premiers on the 9th.
My Marvellous Dream is You (Thailand)
I haven’t started this yet because I wanted some episodes to be out before I dove in. But I really like the gifs I’ve seen so far and will definitely dive into this series this month.
OMG! Vampire (Thailand)
This is the 3rd(?) series I'm watching with Frank and Long but I'm having a hard time getting into it. It started with a bang with Frank and Big kissing (dead fish kisses are clearly banned here, and I love it!) and then a bite (which is one of my kinks, lol). But, then... I'm hoping it picks up again soon because it has the potential to entertain me.
Only Boo! (Thailand)
Definitely not my cup of tea. This is way too cute for me. But, since it's about artists, three boys who want to become dancers/performers/idols, I have to watch it. The acting is great, though. I'm really impressed with these kids.
The Rebound (Thailand)
It's Meen. That's it. That's the reason. It's set to start on the 26th.
Sunset X Vibes (Thailand)
I need more Mos and Bank on my screen. That's it. That's the reason I'm watching this. Honestly, I don't know that much about this series, and want to go in blind. I know they'll deliver on the chemistry, and that's more than I can ask for. I'll be watching this as soon as it premiers on the 15th.
The Two of Us (Thailand)
This is the Freya and Meji spinoff from Deep Night and I can't wait to watch these mature sapphic women being domestic. The first episode came out on Thursday, but I'm watching it today.
Wandee Goodday (Thailand)
Another one of my favorite current shows. This is everything I want in a light, funny, super horny show and I love it so much. Yak is one of my all-time favorite GMMTV characters, and I love how this show has paired two buff eye candies together in Inn and Great. (I can't remember if I've seen this dynamic since Max and Tul, but my memory is fucked so I might've forgotten the others...) I just love everything about this show and the chemistry between Yak and Dee. It also includes an ace character, whom I hope I get to see more of in coming episodes. And it includes a lot of neon lights (and I'm a slut for that).
We Are (Thailand)
I'm watching this for the artists that are in the series (and since I'm an artist, it's my duty, lol). I also love Tan and Fang as well as Q and Toey (which are currently the two couples that are keeping me hooked).
Rewatches
These are, just as the headline states, stuff I want to watch again.
I Told Sunset About You + I Promised You the Moon (Thailand)
I want to be blessed with this cinematography and the amazing chemistry between Billikin and PP Krit.
Secret Crush on You (Thailand)
I just love the friend group in this show so much that I want to rewatch it again. Also, it has neon lights (and I'm a slut for that). And Looknam. Do I need to say more? I think not!
Step by Step (Thailand)
This series isn't necessarily that great, but I want need more Up on my screen. Also, Man is such a huge man (and Scandi), and that's a big plus (that he's huge, I mean). And it's got Zorzo (my ideal woman) and Poppy (he's such a gem)! Despite its flaws, I'm really excited to rewatch this.
To Be Continued (Thailand)
I've been meaning to rewatch this since it ended because I loved it so much. So I'm telling myself to dive into it again this month.
Unintentional Love Story (Korea)
There was just something about the vibe of this series that I want to experience again. Also, it's about a potter (and, as you can probably tell from this post, I love watching shows with artists of all kinds).
New Watches
These aren't necessarily newly produced. They are shows/films I've been meaning to watch for quite some time without having gotten around to it. But now is my chance (and duty) to dive in.
A Shoulder to Cry On (Korea)
I've heard some mixed feelings about this, but that doesn't really deter me. And since Korean BLs are usually short, it doesn't matter that much if I end up not liking it.
The Blue Hour (Thailand)
This is a film with Gun ATP (one of my favorite Thai actors), which I've been putting off for far too long. I'm going into it without knowing very much, which is just how I like it.
His (Japan)
I've been meaning to watch this for months, especially after seeing Miyazawa Hio in Egoist at the end of last year.
Light on Me (Korea)
I've heard about this from various sources a lot lately, so I figured I would watch it this month. I don't know anything about it, but I've heard it's good.
Mama Gogo (Thailand)
I've been putting this off for far too long. It was created by Jojo. That's all I need to know, and all I need to dive into it this month.
The Warp Effect (Thailand)
I've been putting this off for far too long. It's about damn time to watch it. Also, it was created by Jojo.
I could put more on my list, but they say June only has 30 days. So, I'll start with this.

Let’s Talk My Hero!
[Spoilers, duh!]
I’ve sat with my emotions long enough. To start off, this is not a rant. Second, my thoughts won’t be in any particular order. Third, try to be nice in the comments.
Personally, the only reason why I don’t flat out dislike the end is because of the final panels letting me know Deku still gets to be a hero. I would be livid otherwise.
This chapter is way too short and quick. If you’re going to do a time skip with a lot of characters and questions left then it’s only right to give them as many, if not all of them good panels and bubbles telling us what’s up.
Bakugo’s hurdle to being number one has always been about his attitude/ego and the mental maturity needed to work well with others as a person in general. We see so much of him becoming more empathetic and handling social situation, so for the final chapter eight years later to say he’s gone down in rankings due to his attitude genuinely makes me feel like parts of that development was an utter waste of time; it gives me no hope whatsoever he could ever change enough to achieve being number one and honestly makes me agree more with the people who think he should’ve gone out in the fight. I like Bakugo but his final moments against Tomura is his highest point shown of him being courageous, empathetic, sympathetic, and being the essence of a hero. Him dying would’ve solidified him being Class 1A’s number one hero for life.
I do not like that Deku didn’t seem to know his entire class was making him a suit. It could’ve been a surprise for the audience and not him easily. It doesn’t help that one of the main messages is talking to others when you’re in pain and we get panels of Deku clearly looking a little bummed about how life is. I would’ve preferred seeing Deku effortlessly being happy teaching and changing lives for students, kids, etc. and then we get All Might rushing in after class saying “It’s ready!” Then we see Deku’s eyes light up as he runs without thinking towards all his friends who have the suit so they can all go hit the streets in the final panel. It makes Deku more admirable to me personally because then the narrative is while he knows one day he will be out there again, he’s going to spend his time still saving/helping people day in and day out in other ways; instead of him thinking it’s now the only way he can.
I’ve seen people arguing about Deku’s fate and how’s treated in both negative and positive ways. All I want to really say is yes, Deku never cared about fortune and never specifically cared about fame. HOWEVER that boy’s entire dream we were told is being the number one hero! Izuku wants him friends to climb high every day but that’s never stopped his mindset for wanting to be number one! Izuku is one of my favorite characters in the show, so I say this with anger and bias for my boy; Japan not giving him specifically a statue near All Might after seeing live footage of a 14 year old stare evil in the face with no arms is fucking wild to me! Deku is not the type of person to want or ask for a statue, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t mean everything to him if Japan unveiled a statue and said “thank you for being our hero.” We can have a selfless protagonist still be given his flowers without it being selfish or undeserved! That should be the surprise his class doesn’t tell and fund secretly!
I would’ve liked one final talk over dinner with Izuku and his mom. Maybe have dad cooking in the kitchen or something. Inko not getting a final heart to heart with her being proud of her child is criminal.
This point may piss people off but it needs to be said. If anyone writes blatant, and blatant romance/romantic narratives that are important between characters then that person doesn’t get to end those stories without blatant resolutions. I do not care how any individual may personally about IzuOcha has a ship; that doesn’t change that for ten years there’s been characters (including Ochako herself!) talking about the love between those two. I’m not saying they have to be together. I’m saying it’s poor writing never have those two finally have the confession and deciding what that means for themselves. That’s not just for fan’s sake. It’s proper closure on that narrative. Not everything gets the perfect bow on top but you should still wrap it up.
I see people upset about what Ochako’s choice in how to help after what happened to Toga, and those people should reread how society failed Toga. It wasn’t that quirk therapy and behavioral help didn’t work. It’s that the system didn’t actually try at all and lacked the effort from the start. They didn’t help Toga. Their solution was simply to tell her to never use her quirk. That’s literally not help or a solution at all. Ochako is actually trying to build a system that will try to help and not ignore a problem which I still think is an insane problem to have in this world on a narrative level. How the heck is there no guidelines set in place to help navigate a person having a blood quirk!? She’s not the only person who has one. You’re telling me in a world where people could have a spray bottle for a head or extremely sensitive hearing that society has no clue how to make sure blood quirk uses don’t go off the deep end!?
I know I’m not the only one who wonders when the power actually faded. Personally I wish we had a chapter that’s dedicated to time skipping throughout the rest of high school and seeing Deku still have his powers; training and learning with his friends and eventually having the deeper conversation about his situation and feelings about everything. Graduation finally hits and maybe like the week before, Deku knows his powers are all but spent but he still technically finishes his school life walking alongside his friends in a way he always dreamed on. It can be very emotional, he does one final smash towards the air and that’s when the class really solidifies they will one day be running side by side again; we just don’t get to hear the specific promise or plan. Then we get the time skip when he’s a teacher next chapter.
I think that’s all my big thoughts really. I kinda wish we got more about what’s up with adult Todoroki but I also get it kinda means the family chapter a few weeks ago no longer becomes the definitive end of that narrative. That being said, I stick with my belief that we should know what’s going on with so many people of you you do an eight year skip. That includes Endeavor, Rei, and Fuyumi mainly. We know how Natsuo should be doing and we nobody has to think too hard about Dabi’s situation.
Anyone, those are my thoughts. Once again, be nice in comments.

Summer festivals were starting all over Japan, everyone was feeling the excitement over them. Nekoma wasn’t the exception to the rule, everyone was talking about when and where to go.
Kuroo, being the captain of the team, decided to invite all of the team to one; well, forcing everyone to go as a ‘team bonding exercise’. After a lot of convincing, he finally got the whole team to accept, you included.
Once there you went around as a group. Shooting galleries, in where Kenma was amazingly good at it; basketball hoops; lots of different snacks; and the grand and main attraction, a ferris wheel.
After running around the excited first years -and Yamamoto- making sure that they weren’t going to cause problems, you finally sat down on a bench, closing your eyes. The lights were so bright that even when your eyes were close you could still see some shadows, but your times alone was interrupted by someone.
“Tired?” opening your eyes you find Kuroo with two corn dogs in his hands and a soft smile on. He passes you one as he sits next to you “sorry, I didn’t think you’d have to babysit them here too”
“It’s fine, I don’t think it would be this fun without them”
“It will definitely be less eventful” says taking a bite of his food, both of you falling in a comfortable silence while watching people walk around. You and Kuroo had a weird relationship; both of you met when you offer yourself to help them out in the gym, you two instantly connecting. At the beginning you thought it was just because of his personality, after all he had an amazingly ability to make people comfortable; but soon it became actual feelings for each other, and for some reason neither wanted to make the first move “You know…”
“Yn-saaan” you both turn towards Lev, who was running towards you with Kenma and Kai behind “did you see the ferry!? It looks so pretty!”
“It does, but it a really long line”
“Yaku-san is on the line, he told us to come to find you since you had to deal with Lev this whole time” adds Kenma ignoring the protests of the tall boy. He looks at Kuroo, having a small conversation with the boy that only them could understand “You should go with Kuro, so you don’t be alone”
“Oh, sure, sounds fun! Do you want to go with me?”
“S-sure, I’d love to” Kuroo stutters, blush creeping up his face. He exchange a look with the boys before you took his hand to walk away towards where Yaku is, who just smirk at Kuroo red face when you arrived.
Thankfully it didn’t took long for you to hop on, everything was going more than fine. You sat face to face, him making jokes all the time. I wasn’t until you were almost at the top when the ferry suddenly stopped, Kuroo helping you steady yourself so you don’t fall.
“Seriously?” he whispers
“Quite cliché” you chuckle “But hey, we can see the sunset from a great view”
“True” he follows your gaze towards the sun, looking at it for a few minutes before he gets distracted. He then looks at you, and he swears he almost lost his breath; the sun of the sunset making you look like an angel.
“Is there something on my face?” you ask, startling him
“Eh nono, you… you look beautiful” he says truthfully
“Thanks”
Before he realize it, he takes your hand with one and your face with the other, slowly moving towards you. Once he was close enough, he looks at your lips before looking back to your eyes, asking for permission, but instead of answering you just close the distance between you two.
After 30 minutes stuck there you finally go down, this time with him hugging you. The rest of the boys were waiting outside, all of them smirking at his captain arm that was drape over your shoulder.
“Don’t” he says at Kai, Yaku and Kenma
“We haven’t say nothing man”
“Kuroo-san! Did you finally confess?”
“Shut up Lev”
----
Happy (very late) birthday to my favorite captain

idol! lee haechan x writer! male reader
type: fluff, light smut
warnings: cute, pet names, thigh riding, lewd comments, language, light smut, dirty talk, slight humiliation
roughly 2,400+ words
for male reader or amab! (male anatomy used heavily)
enjoy :)
your pov
my plane just landed in seoul, korea. i was visiting from my stay in japan to visit my long term boyfriend of two years, lee haechan of nct. he was an idol and i was a writer in japan. two very busy jobs meaning that we didn’t see each other much. never mind the distance between us.
i grabbed my luggage as i exited the plane, searching the area for my boyfriend. i was so keen on finding him that i didn’t even notice the nearing figure behind me until i felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.
“hey” haechan said, snuggling into my neck a little.
i turned around his arms and threw mine around his neck. “hi haechannie i missed you so much” i stated with a big smile on my face, a light blush following.
“i missed you too beautiful. i hope your flight went well” he said returning the smile, followed by a firm kiss to my lips.
my blush grew as i returned the kiss. i pulled back and said “yes it went well. now enough with the lame ass talk, let’s visit the city. i missed you hyuck i haven’t seen you in like three months” i said going to grab my bags but him beating me to it. he grabbed my suitcase and began to drag it behind us while taking my hand in his other. the action made me blush.
“cmon love, let’s settle into my dorm before we venture out. i asked renjun if he could stay with jeno and jaemin for the next two weeks and he complied almost instantly” he explained with a little chuckle.
“that’s great. i can’t wait to see all the guys too. i missed you all” i said smiling.
“even more than you missed me? i thought i was your baby” he said giving me a little pout. i know he was just bullshitting.
“now you know the main reason i’m here is to see you. i love you and only you haechannie” i said grabbing his face, tilting it down due to our height difference.
“that’s what i like to hear. i love you too beautiful” he leaned down and gave me a passionate kiss on the lips.
“donghyuck! we’re in public” i said pushing him away slightly with my hands on his chest. i could definitely tell he had been working out.
“aww is my baby shy? aw well okay. i’ll spare you. for right now” he said with a small grin, pulling away and continuing our walk out the airport.
once we made it out he asked me what i would like to do. i told him that i wanted to go down the streets of downtown seoul and go to all the little shops and venues. it had been a while since i had visited and it was one of my favorite places to see when visiting.
he bought me all kinds of treats and food. he even bought me flowers. my favorites too! beautiful spring stargazer lilys.
“they’re so gorgeous. thank you haechannie” i said.
“you’re right they are, but not as gorgeous as you.” he said smiling.
“thank you” i blushed and interlocked my arm with his as i dragged us to another stall. he chuckled and we carried on with our day.
time skip to after we arrived to the dorm. roughly in the evening after we went to dinner
“y/n, i recently bought a new game and i really enjoy it. would you like to see?” haechan said pulling me towards his comfortable gaming chair.
“of course” i said smiling. i looked around and saw that there was only his gaming chair. once he sat down and got situated, i perched myself down onto his right thigh.
“you sure you’ll be able to see from how you’re positioned?” he said loading up the game.
“yea i’ll be fine” i said adjusting myself while getting into a comfortable position, ignoring the quick tinge of pleasure i gained while slightly grinding my cock against his thigh.
“okay then pretty” he said smiling. he began playing the game while explaining the main objective. he looked really happy right now and his smile made me smile. haechan loved video games. especially the one i gifted him when we first met four years ago. he still plays it to this day!
minutes dragged on and haechans little rant died down into just mutters here n there about killing an entity or crossing the finish line.
i really did miss haechannie, but not just for his wonderful voice or for his actions of infatuation. i also missed HIM. his big hands, his big chest, strong thick thighs and his arms that would pin me down during our intimate moments. his flustering smirk he would produce as he pounded me into the sheets. donghyuck was a whole package.
gosh, just the thought of him taking me now made my cock strain in my pants. i needed to relieve the feeling a little bit, so i subtlety grinded my cock against his thigh. i don’t think he noticed as his eyes stayed onto the screen.
i pushed my hips forward once more, enjoying the sweet, sweet friction that came with it. i really hoped i wasn’t distracting haechannies game. i went to grind down on his thigh once again when i felt a hand press down on my hip keeping me in place.
“pretty do you think you could wait a few more minutes while i finish this round? i promise i won’t keep you waiting too long.” haechan said giving me a sly grin while rubbing his thumb on my hip.
“y-yes haechannie i’m sorry. i didnt mean to ruin your gameplay” i said looking the other way.
“don’t be ashamed beautiful. i find it quite amusing eyeing you and seeing you trying to keep your little moans and whimpers to yourself. i’ll make you feel good in a second” he said rubbing his hand up and down on my back, comfortingly.
“can you wait for me doll?” he said, giving my neck a light kiss. i inhaled and then let out a sigh.
“yes” i said tucking my face into his neck, arms around his neck as well.
“that’s a good boy. thank you baby” he said sliding his hand down to my butt, giving it a loving squeeze. i let out a light squeak and blushed as he chuckled and placed his hand back on the lower side of my back.
a few minutes passed and he was still going and by the looks of it, this level wouldn’t finish for another fifteen minutes at the minimum. i couldn’t wait any longer.
i grinded my hips against his firm thigh and tightened my hold around his neck. i let out a whimper and shakily said “i-i’m sorry haechannie, but i can’t wait any longer. your hands are so big and your thighs are just s-so thick, ahh~” i finished off my small praise with a moan.
i heard his controller getting placed down and the game being paused, as then his hands found themselves on my hips.
“yea? you like my hands and thighs that much that you couldn’t wait a little while longer? using me as your little pleasure toy for a little while? hm, is that it? that wasn’t that nice of you” he said with a firm hold on my hips now, controlling my movements.
“ahh! haechannie i’m sorry. i just love you so much and i haven’t seen you in a while. i missed you so much a-and it’s hard getting off w-without you” my voice breaking as i went on. the pleasure was too good. at this point, i knew i was gonna cum soon. especially with the way haechan was speaking to me.
“aww you’re so cute baby. i love you too. i find it endearing you rely on me so much to bring you the pleasure you oh so desire. i’m glad that i’m the only one that can bring it to you” haechan whispered into my ear, now placing kisses down my neck, sucking here and there.
“ahh donghyuck i’m gonna cum soon if you keep talking like that. i can’t believe how good this feels.” i said now messily grinding on his thigh.
“what about this is so fulfilling to you hm? is it my voice and my words that’s driving you insane? my large hands that almost go around your small little waist? or is it my thighs hm? my big thick thighs that your little ones seem to love?” he said smirking, dragging his tongue on my lips.
“ahh! ha-haechan! i’m gonna cum!” i said, feeling the familiar feeling building up in my lower region.
“cum for my baby. show me how much you love me” he said giving my ass another squeeze while pushing me as close as possible to him. i felt him flex his thigh, overriding my pleasure and sending me over edge.
i let out a moan as i threw my head back and released into my pants. my eyes fluttered closed as i relished in pure ecstasy. that was so, so good.
i laid my head on his shoulder and took a few deep breaths. i heard him groan and his grip tightened on my waist. i’m guessing he just came too. that’s so hot.
“oh yes you think so? you should’ve seen yourself just now. that fucked out expression on your face while you fell apart from just my thighs. it was so cute” he said giving me a kiss on the lips, it turning out into a light makeout session. i didn’t even realize i had said that out loud. the blush on my face growing.
he rubbed his hand over my crotch and pressed down a little, i gave out a small whine while attempting to push his hand away. key word attempting.
“stop haechannie i’m sensitive.” i let out a small moan and he began to palm my now hardening cock.
“hey pretty boy i gave up my game to make you feel good. it wouldn’t hurt you to take a little punishment now would it? i wanna watch you fall apart again” he confessed giving me a wicked expression.
i moaned and i tried to thrust into his hand but his hands held me down by my hips. “ah ah ah baby, remember this is a punishment.” he said now tugging me all the way onto his lap to where i was straddling him.
“are you okay with this y/n?” he asked, pausing his actions. i have him a light nod as i didn’t trust my voice at the moment. he completely stopped as he grabbed my chin.
“words baby” he said looking into my eyes.
“y-yes haechannie. i’m o-okay with this” i said blushing.
“well aright then” he said smirking. “should’ve known you were gonna say yes. miss me and my size that much hm? how about we make the wet spot in your pants darker angel?” he said pulling my hair making me look down at my damped crotch rubbing up against his.
i blushed and looked away but he used three fingers to turn my face back to him. “don’t be embarrassed doll, it’s cute. it shows i’m doing my job right and making you feel good. don’t be afraid to show how you really feel with me. especially if you’re uncomfortable. you hear me?” he says sincerely.
god i love him so much.
“y-yes haechannie. now please, help me c-cum” i said looking into his eyes with a sultry gaze.
“as you wish love” he said as he took full control again and grabbed my hips, pushing our groins together, creating unimaginable friction that only one of a god could create.
‘that’s my man’ i thought.
we continued to grind against one another as he kissed me passionately, a kiss that could be described as lustful and loving at the same time.
soon enough after the kisses on the lips and my neck, and the constant grinding of our hips, i could feel that familiar feeling building up in my lower parts once again.
“donghyuck, i’m gonna cum. can i p-please?” i stuttered, holding onto his neck tightly and hiding my expression.
“of course. but i want you to look at me while you do so” he answered pulling me up by my hair grinning.
with everything happening all at once, his expression, the semi-harsh tugging at my hair, and the friction down below, i knew i was about to cum undone.
“i-i’m gonna-“ he cut me off with a kiss.
“cum for me pretty”
and cum did i. so much that the previous spot in my pants that was now drying, once again regained its darker color and i blushed a fiery color as i realized he watched it happen once again.
my cheeks on fire, hair a mess and eyes basically closed, lost in my absolute pleasure and blissful state. i sighed and leaned onto his shoulder, completely and uderly exhausted.
“that was so gorgeous love” he whispering into my ear, giving the shell of it a light kiss, “so cute”
he lightly pulled me back as i blankly stared at him. he smiled a genuine heartfelt smiled full of love and it made my blush darken. this time not out of embarrassment, but because he was looking at me with the most loving expression one could manage.
i looked down at where my hard cock once was, now softened back down and very sensitive. my pants were wet and i felt sticky. i needed a bath and a nap. i was tired.
almost as if he was sensing my feelings, haechan then asked me “let’s get you cleaned up hm? then we could go to sleep. that sound good love?” he said tilting my head up to look into his pretty, pretty eyes. haechan was so beautiful. inside and out. i really did love him.
“yea…sounds good” i said clinging onto him. “carry me?” i muttered, still out of it in my post-orgasm state. he gave a light chuckle and hoisted me up with my arms around his neck and legs wrapped around his waist with his assistance, hands securely under my thighs.
“of course pretty baby” he quietly said back as we made our way to the bathroom.
“i missed you so much” i paused, “i love you.”
“i love you too angel”

Some thoughts about One Piece on Ice
Thanks to some help by one kind fan I managed to watch One Piece on Ice. 😍 Thank you so much! ❤️
Admittedly I probably wouldn't have watched the show if Shoma wouldn't be the star of the show. I was so interested to see his character portrayal because it's so out of Shoma's own character.
But before I talk about Shoma here are some other thoughts...
First of all I am quite clueless about the anime or manga of One Piece which probably would have helped to understand the story better because I don't own any Japanese language skills, so I won't say anything about the story. I just wish I could appreciate the whole story better. (I have basic knowledge of the characters and I watched a couple anime episodes when I was like 12 years old so 😅)
I think anyone who has seen pictures of the show, knows how amazing the costumes are and how close they are to their animation counterpart (I mean at least I know the characters with my less than good one piece knowledge)
It's quite a different than usual ice show. It really tells a complete story, no "extra" skating to just show off, every skating is implemented into the story. It really feels more like a theatre on ice than an actual ice show. It's not easy to produce a theatre that needs to tell a story from 3 viewing angles. Usually theatres are directed to watch from the front. Here it's watched from 3 sides, which on a stream made it sometimes difficult to see the conversation that was going on but in the arena it's needed. (Tbf no stream or video can ever give justice to a theatre production no matter if on ice or in theatre just because the circumstances are wildly different. I won't elaborate on that but let you tell this by a musical nerd who watched countless musicals live and on screen)
The choreography ideas are great. Especially cool are the choreographies for the fight scenes, each fight scene has a different set up. The spcial effects on top of it are so cool. Congrats to Kenji Miyamoto for this show and also congrats to the lighting and special effects designers. These things really add a lot.
The ACTING!!! OMG the acting is so good for an ice show. These are skaters not actors (besides Miyu) and all of them do an amazing job. There is a lot text going on especially for Marin, who is actually the main star of the show, no one has as much to do besides her and she is emoting so well to an audience. She really should be thinking about going to theatre. Rika Hongo is one of my favorite characters in this whole show. This suits her so well. How she can implements the skating skills into the character and how she is never off charater. And SHOMA OMG OMG OMG 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 How can this be Shoma? He can act. Like really. He's full of energy, full of different expressions, he is a come to life animated character, acting over the top like it's suited to the character and on top he does skills on ice I haven't seen him do anywhere before. Admittedly I was sceptical about Shoma acting and on top such a "quirky" character, but they couldn't found a better person for it.
I applaud the full cast for their acting. And they stayed in character until the very end until the curtain call.
It's a great show from the ideas, to the choreography, to the costumes, to the acting! ❤️
What an amazing show! 😍
Do I have any negative points about the show? 🤔 Well only one thing...the availability for ppl outside Japan is a disaster. I know countless ppl who would have paid to see the show on stream but weren't able to because of the geoblocking and trouble finding a working vpn or credit card. It probably has to do with copyright but then at least give the fans an explanation...The other small critique is simply on me personally😅...without knowing Japanese or One Piece it was not the full experience it would surely give...but you know what maybe that actually gives me a reason to really learn Japanese and to watch the anime/manga 😉
If anyone wants to and is able to watch. Do it, you won't be disappointed!

It's been literally 20 years since I wrote the YGO fic that to some regard still defines how I view my favorite OC babygirl Aileen to this day 💕✨
So this is a gift for teenage me, who would've probably pretended to be too cool to care, but would have absolutely lost her shit seeing our girl in the style of the show (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
For those curious, here's a little (updated) character profile of Aileen:
Aileen Noda
18yo (half a year older than Seto, so a class ahead of him)
🇯🇵 (dad), 🇮🇹 (mom)
her dad got sole custody after her parents (never married) split; she's not close to her mom but they're on friendly speaking terms
—
heiress to a multimillion dollar software company that was in business negotiations with the Kaiba Corporation at some point when it was still headed by Gozaburo
moved around a lot as a kid before spending her tweens and most of her teenage years in South England, when business took them there
fluent in English and Japanese (although a bit rusty when it comes to not sounding too direct/impolite with latter) - had one year of German and almost three years of Mandarin before moving schools - knows just enough Italian to survive as a casual tourist
not rly interested in daddy's business at the time/shortly before our story, but figures she still has many years to live her own life and find her passions before she has to step up anyway
(spoiler alert: nope, she does not)
—
has a driver's license and drives just well enough to not get it revoked but not so well that it's a joy to sit next to her
pretty pragmatic with a dry humor
comes off as very confident and independent
loses her dad tho shortly after they've moved to Domino and went into new negotiations with the KC, which rly fucks her up since she hasn't made any friends there yet and her dad was basically her entire support system, which she never realized until he was gone
develops a socially encouraged kind of unhealthy relationship to food and working out, which is not helped by the smaller sizes considered standard in Japan
—
for some reason falls for Seto Kaiba of all people and even ends up with him unaware that she could do a lot better but alas, who am i to tell my daughter No
A while ago I gave rewriting the earlier mentioned fanfic a try, but since YGO isn't my active main fandom anymore, I'll probably never finish it and if I do, it will have a very different format than the original story.
But since we're already in Long As Fuck Read More territory, I've included the prologue and another tiny snippet here, for those who are curious:
Surprising as it may seem, given how his face is plastered all over the city they live in, Yugi and his friends don't really think much about Seto Kaiba in their everyday lives.
They're doing their thing and he does his. … Whatever his thing is.
Building theme parks probably? Yugi remembers him mentioning something like this the last time they spoke but he's not sure anymore. The fact that Kaiba's been gracing class with his presence for the past few days probably means that things are going well enough for him to have the spare time. Although he's spending most of that time on his laptop anyway, not participating in class at all and left alone by the teachers as well.
No, really. Neither Yugi nor his friends know what Kaiba's thing actually is.
So they're a little surprised when after class, during cleaning duty, a girl in another school's uniform slips through the door and makes a beeline for the desk in the far corner of the room where Kaiba, true to his famous team spirit, is still fully focused on his personal work instead of helping his classmates.
One of her long, black pigtails slips over her shoulder as she snatches a glance at his laptop screen. To which Kaiba just reacts by closing said laptop and shoving it into his schoolbag. Which in turn puts a slightly too sweet, almost teasing smile onto her lips. "Want me to give you a ride home?" He sighs and mumbles something that sounds a lot like "There are worse ways to die, I guess" before getting up and following her outside.
It finally becomes apparent why a few of the guys in the class have spent the past couple minutes at the window - the car Kaiba follows that stranger to is a red Porsche cabriolet that looks like right out of a Hollywood movie.
Jounouchi doesn't know what to be more scandalized about - that Kaiba of all people is getting picked up by a cute girl while he doesn't or that some of his female classmates seem completely unimpressed by all of this because "everyone knows he has a girlfriend, duh". He and his friends exchange confused glances.
Seto Kaiba is weird in occasionally dangerous but usually just a little annoying ways and overall just not that interesting. And, as far as they're aware, he's also completely uninterested in making friends or even just understanding the basic concept of friendship - or interpersonal relationships in general.
And yet.
Seto Kaiba has a girlfriend.
It went like this:
A girl had a friend who wasn't allowed to have friends, who wasn't even allowed to have a brother. But allowing him to spend time with her made her father more agreeable in business negotiations which in turn worked in favor of her friend's father. So he grudgingly allowed it for the duration of their business meetings.
Truth be told, it was a pretty one-sided friendship.
Her friend had already started to shut himself off from the world by the time she met him. He didn't start or even push forward conversations on his own accord, didn't answer most of her questions and didn't seem to have many, well, any hobbies. He was easy to taunt though, almost always falling for her dares, never willing to accept defeat and pretty blind to the fact that she usually didn't care who won - that ultimately, by the virtue of having gotten him to interact with her, she was the actual winner anyway.
It was a short friendship, lasting only a couple of weeks, and as soon as the grownups had concluded their business it was over again.
If you're still here: Congrats! You earned yourself the secret knowledge that this fic by the way isn't just Seto/OC but also YamiYugi/Seto, as in: Seto is gonna cheat on her with Atem, as soon as he finds out that he can not just play intense card games with the guy but also have sex with him - which never even occured to him until he already had Ati's hand between his legs.
Aileen will break up with him over it.
In the timeline of the original fic from 20 years ago they did end up back together and even marrying though and it wasn't even too bad for a while but became a very unhappy relationship over time, during which she fell for (and had one passionate night with) Seto's assistant Isono. She got pregnant from him and Seto is kind of aware that it is likely not his child and she knows that he probably knows... while Isono tries very hard to tell himself that this kid surely can't be his, nope, no evidence of this one night means it never happened and he never wavered in his loyalty to his Kaiba-sama, it's fine, he's fine, they're all fine.
(It's still mostly him raising the child since Aileen soon realizes she has no idea where exactly to fit a child into her life and Seto... to his credit did manage to not have Mokuba die on him while responsible for him in his teen years, but if we're all honest here that was not by virtue of him being a responsible and trustworthy parental figure.)
I haven't made up my mind yet if Aileen and Seto would also end up married in/after the rewritten fic tho.
Who knows.
Not me.
... Ah, yeah, and I also ship her with Ryou Bakura's dead sister Amane :D so there's that as well.
Anyway.
YAY @ drawing of her I'm very very very satisfied with ( ̄︶ ̄)✨💖

Pokemon, Japan, and Neurodivergency
So, ever since I heard (recently) about Satoshi Tajiri having a special interest in collecting bugs (and is confirmed to have autism), this got my interest piqued for the new game(s) of Pokemon (mostly Violet for personal reasons). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You see, ever since my diagnosis of ADHD as a little kid, it felt like I was the last person on Earth who had it. However, when she was alive, my mom was the only person who understood what I was going through during my struggles.
From before to middle school, I was medicated for it. But, ever since they increased the mg on it, I had my first dizzy spell in my middle school library. When I told my mom about it, she weaned me off of it. Ever since I lost her at age 12, it felt like someone hit a huge reset button and I had to start my life all over. High school wasn't easy with it, either. It felt like I only had one nice teacher; my History teacher. Of course, this may be a bias due to History being one of my favorite subjects (Art and Reading). But I believe that it's more than that, I had a teacher who never berated me for showing signs of ADHD.
Unfortunately, I had to change schools because the staff knew that I was struggling, but they didn't do anything to help. Of course, I've felt saddened having to say goodbyes to my friends, but what's done is done...
During my first enrollment in this new school, I was a little nervous and afraid that it would be a repeat... But it wasn't! I actually felt accepted! No, more than that. I felt normal without even trying... My own version of "normal". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, you may be wondering "What does this have anything to do with Pokemon Violet?". Well, it has something to do with the headcanons of the students being neurodivergent.
1.) Nemona - There are some headcanons of her being on the spectrum because battling is her hyperfixation and she simply wants to share it with the people she truly cares about. Also, she may have some physical therapy for her arm due to her brace/compression glove.
2.) Arven - "He's off in a flash, the second something new crosses his mind". Stop me if that sounds familiar... Also (depending on the version of the game), he has mother/father issues and his Pokemon/dog being sick/injured (and maybe at that age...), we could tell that he truly cares deeply for his emotional support Pokemon...
3.) Florian/Julianna - Since we're playing as these characters, who's to say that they're not as neurodivergent as us?
In fact, who's to say that Naranja/Uva University has the majority of neurodivergent students with understanding/supportive staff?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for something serious...
In Japan, having an open and honest discussion of the importance of mental health is considered taboo. Instead, they have a store that sells syringe charm necklaces, pill capsule earrings, and T-shirts with words like "Sweet Death" or "Please, Help me!" in Kanji and pastel glitter. The main reason why they refuse to talk about it is to "save face" (or "to avoid embarrassment"). Think about how it was never easy to bring up our neurodivergencies to others...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With all of that set in mind, I believe that playing video games that have support characters with unspoken neurodivergent behaviors and main characters who fit into the "silent protagonist" trope is the only way for people like us (neurodivergent people who are afraid to ask for help due to personal reasons) to escape the harsh realities of the fact that we KNOW that the world isn't made for people like us.
#Pokemon Violet#The concept of the origin of Pokemon#Nemona#Arven#MCs#Florian#Julianna#Asking for help can be a challenge...#But you're never alone#rant/vent#A little bit of infodumping#tw: mental health#tw: mention of meds and syringes#tw: mention of death

Everything I've read in Jan. 2024
Yona of the dawn
Yona was the first story that i read this year and damm was it the right way to set the tone for the year. It's a story that has all of the elements that I adore in the fantasy genre, its got the action, political drama, the multi-facted characters. I won't be saying much about this manga because i have already have an older post talking about my favorite aspects, so if you want more in depth thoughts you can search for that
Kashoku no shiro
Now here is a fun setting, Taisho era Japan with supernatural elements. Quick run down of the story, people are being affected by a mysterious disease that makes flowers bloom all over their bodies, once the flowers wilt so does the person but there are cases where they recover and become even healthier. But plot twist, the ones who survive will become demons who feast on human flesh. So thats where our protagonist Shiraume comes in, she acts as 'bait' for these demons, essentially luring them out for her master to slaughter
If i had to tell you what drew me to this story, it would be the art style, like it is drop dead gorgeous. Also the design of our heroine is just my type too which is a bonus
Plot wise it does feel a little all over the place, it jumps persecptive quite often. Like it jumps form a detective story, to a josei love story, to Demon slayer which feels kinda jarring for me. But the backstory of our protagonist was done quite well, one thing i can praise is that our heroine isn't a simpering doormat. It's true that she has lived a hard life but she just keep living in the best way that she can manage. Shiraume is never the type to mope around or bemoan her fate, she takes charge and endure, she does everything in her power to live for her loved ones.
Its a good read all in all, but since theres only about 20 chapters that are out i can't really tell if this is gonna flop or not. I'll be keeping on eye on it to see if the author manages to get it together.
Bibliophile princess
The most mediocre otome isekai story i've ever fucking read. Its vanilla, like 'sex with the lights off no kinky shit' vanilla.
Story-wise, it's a very simple set up. Book enthusiast Elianna is in a contract fiancee relationship with the crown prince who i cannot be bothered to remember or google the name of. She is beloved by all of the staff memebers, all the secondary male characters love her and she has a great family but oh no! It seems that the prince has fallen for another woman, which means that her engagement with the prince will be ending soon. Yeah if your an otome isekai reader you can guess where this is going, villainess tries to ruin our heroines rep by spreading false rumors yada yada yada...
Similar to Kashoku no shiro, what drew me in was the art nouveau style. I mean the amount of details in the illustrations are amazing, coupled with the dreamy pastel color palette it creates this feeling that you really are in a fairy tale world
One of my main problems with the first volume is how weirdly structured the story is. Like it begins with the prince asking Elianna to enter a contract relationship with him and them jumps to a four year time skip for no apparent reasoning? Like we don't get to see alot of romantic development between them so now suddenly Elianna is in love? But moving on, i felt like Elianna has like little to no self awareness or agency. The first volumes conflict is about how this noble girl is rumored to be the princes lover and is planning to take Eliannas place. At this point you would expect to see our heroine stand up for herself and assert her place in the court right? Wrong. She was basically left in the dark about whats truly going on until the end of the volume. It was revealed that the noble girl was a villain all along who was trying to frame Elianna for shit she didn't do, also conveniently our MC has a mile long list of accomplishments that we as the reader didn't know about, and apparently she didn't either. So yeah, the male leads basically was protecting her for the whole story and she just wandered around feeling insecure about being replaced
Cold game
Do you like the story of king Henry the eighths six wives? Do you wanna see all six of them do a battle royal for the chance to become queen? Do you like crossdressing heroines? Well look no further than Cold game
Our MC is princess Aruna of the B kingdom, yes i know weird name but bare with me here, who is meant to be engaged to the king of the E kingdom. But here's the sus part, he already has a queen from the S country but he's demanding another wife from the B country? Quite the odd request but since B is weaker than E they had to comply with the demands. Aruna knows she's being sent as a sacrificial lamb but her lord father told her to hang on for a bit, one day he will get her out of that place. So to protect herself, Aruna swap places with her handmaiden and pretended to be crossdressing knight.
One of the best things about this story is the political intrigue. Like from the get go, we are shown that the court is a brutal place where an inconspicuous letter can be the cause of your down fall. People here will always watch your every move, everyone fears one another to an extent. Also the side characters are so fucking cool, like these people can star in their own spin off kinda cool.

Y'all know how I've mentioned before that I like playing otome games? Well one of the games I played last month has been on my mind cause I keep thinking of how I could incorporate Yuu and some of the TWST boys into the story of that game.
I have no idea why my brain suddenly started doing this, but I figured I'd go ahead and make a post about it cause why not? 😂
Okay, so first off, the otome game that I'll be talking about is Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo, which I would recommend to anyone who likes otome games. While I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a favorite of mine since I didn't get super attached to any particular LI, I still enjoyed the game and thought it was really cute ^^
Anyway, this game takes place in Japan during the Kyoha era, and it involves these monsters called blightfall that are created thanks to people's negative emotions. They've been wreaking havoc in the town of Edo for a while now.
There's a special task force established by the shogunate called the Oniwaban, which is in charge of fighting these monsters that most people don't know anything about since blightfall mostly appear at night, and this is just something they try to keep the public from having to know about.
The Oniwaban mostly consist of individuals called vessels, which are formfolk that have had their memories and hearts sealed. In exchange, they're given the power called Snow Sacrament which allows them to defeat blightfall when they engage them in battle.
Formfolk are human-like figures that are born when an item receives enough love from its owner and is given a name. The main difference between them and humans is that they can change their appearance at will, and they can be killed if you destroy the items they were born from. They also have wooden name tags, which can also be targeted, so they have two weaknesses.
Moving on, the heroine of the game has the ability to see threads that no one else can see, and by looking at these threads, which are attached to everyone's, except for vessels, necks, she can tell what a person is truly feeling, ergo she can see their emotions. These threads can also tell her when a blightfall is about to appear since they're the product of negative emotions.
That's why the shogunate summons her and has her join the Oniwaban in hopes that she'll be able to help them stop the outbreak of blightfall that has been going on for the last several years.
The reason I started thinking of Yuu in this setting is because in the game the poor heroine is ostracized/exiled by the village she grew up in because she could see things they couldn't and she could tell when someone was gonna die from looking at their threads which led them to believe she was the reason those people died.
The heroine lived in the village with her father, but as soon as he passed away, she was forced to live up on the mountain away from the village. Thankfully, because her father was so well-respected by the village, they send her provisions, so she is still technically provided for, even though that obviously doesn't make her situation any less horrible.
It's just really easy for me to imagine Yuu in that kinda character role, because of the kinda luck she has, so my brain just rolled with the idea lol
I could easily picture poor Yuu being misunderstood for powers only she has, and as a result, she's only close to her father, whom thankfully loves her very much and takes good care of her up until his passing.
Because she wants to be useful to her hardworking father, Yuu learns at a young age how to cook and clean despite him telling her she doesn't have to. Plus, she prefers remaining indoors practicing these skills anyway since indoors she won't have to deal with any judging looks or people whispering about her.
However, Yuu does venture outside whenever she wants fresh air. She just typically heads outside of the village, although she doesn't go too far since she doesn't want to scare/worry her father.
It's during one such outing that an eight-year old Yuu happens to find a young wolf that's injured and has an infected wound. The poor thing was abandoned by its pack and left to die since it was in such bad shape.
Yuu couldn't bear to abandon the animal, which was too weak to do anything but quietly growl at her, so she did what she could to treat its wound with the first aid supplies she likes to always carry around with her.
Despite her young age, she's rather good at first aid, because she has a lot of experience practicing it due all the injuries she'd get when the kids in the village would bully her. She learned how to tend to her own injuries so her father wouldn't have to and she had hoped this would make him less worried about her.
However, after she finishes tending to the wolf, Yuu still thinks her father should personally check on the wolf since she's obviously no doctor and is just a kid, and thankfully, when he hears about the wolf, her father agrees to look it over after she begs and pleads for his help.
Since the villagers wouldn't be pleased about a potentially dangerous wild animal being brought to the village, Yuu's father decides to bring the wolf to the old house up on the mountain that's not being used by anyone.
For the next several days, Yuu and her father tend to the wolf, constantly taking care of its injury and offering it food to help it regain its strength.
Yuu spends almost all of her time with the wolf and only leaves its side whenever her father says its time for her to come home at the end of the day.
Thanks to Yuu and her father's dutiful care, the wolf survives its injury and manages to make a full recovery, much to their great relief.
Once the wolf eventually recovers, they expect it to leave and return to the wild, although Yuu hates the idea of having to part with it, but to their great surprise, the wolf decides to remain in the area.
Naturally, that's partially because it has nowhere else to go but mostly because it wants to remain with the people that nursed it back to health since it feels indebted to them and has become attached to them.
Yuu is delighted about this since this means she now has a friend, and she pays the wolf, which she names Jack after a storybook character she likes, visits all the time since she loves hanging out with him.
For a while, time passes like this until a very surprising turn of events occurs that involves a sad, nine-year old Yuu visiting Jack after having escaped her bullies.
While she's not normally one to cry since she thinks she should be strong in order to avoid worrying her father, Yuu is crying when she comes to visit Jack, who becomes worried about her since he's never seen in her in a state like this before.
Jack wants to know why Yuu's crying, but obviously, he can't ask since he can't speak like a human. He wishes he could, though, since he really wants to help her so she'll smile for him again.
As of late, Jack has been having these kinda thoughts where he wished he was more than just a wolf so he could become even closer to Yuu and better support her since there's only so much he can do with a form like this.
Much to his and Yuu's surprise, this strong desire to talk to Yuu and become closer to her leads to Jack turning into a Beastman, which is something that's not in the game so it's an original idea.
Just like how items can turn into formfolk, I thought it'd be neat if something similar could happen to animals when they receive enough love/feel enough love toward a human that leads to them wanting to communicate with/be closer to a human, and I just decided to use the Beastman term since I'm not creative with names in the slightest lol
One thing that's special about Beastmen is that they can swap forms, so they can look like an animal or a human, although their human forms will always have animal characteristics like ears and a tail.
Since Beastmen are rarer than formfolk, Yuu is very surprised to see one for the first time, but she's also delighted that she can have a conversation with Jack, whose current form appears to be the same age as her.
Jack is also pleased with his sudden transformation since he'll be able to talk to Yuu now and be the kind of friend she needs/deserves. He'll be able to support/protect her even better now.
Because the village forbids formfolk from living there since formfolk eat like humans and this small village has limited supplies, it's immediately assumed that the same would be said about Beastmen, so Yuu only tells her father about what happened to Jack.
Thankfully, Jack can turn back into a wolf whenever he wants, so the chances of the villagers finding out about him are low, especially as long as he remains around the house on the mountain where he's been hanging around up until this point.
From that point on, Yuu is even more excited about visiting Jack, and she spends the majority of her time with him because she loves being with Jack who doesn't treat her like she's something dangerous cause of her powers.
They become really close over the years, like family, and it's because of that bond that Yuu has an easier time getting by after her father eventually passes away when she's thirteen, because she ends up living with Jack, who the villagers thankfully never find out about.
Jack is Yuu's rock during the time she's mourning her father and dealing with being ostracized/exiled by the village. While he was already protective of her, Jack becomes even more so after those events.
More than anything, he'd like to tear into those villagers for their cold-heartedness, but he doesn't since that's not what Yuu would want. Plus, he can't risk the villagers finding out about him and possibly trying to separate him from Yuu.
So, instead, Jack focuses on doing everything else he can think of to look after her, like helping with house repairs and hunting/gathering food in the forest, so there's always enough food for the two of them since the village only sends up enough supplies for one person.
Just like a human, Jack grows older as time passes, so he eventually ends up with an appearance like what he has in TWST canon. He gets all his muscles cause he's constantly training in order to make himself stronger, so he can always protect himself and Yuu, because that's what's most important to him.
For a while, their little world just consists of the two of them, and they're perfectly fine with that since they're just so grateful and happy to have each other. However, eventually, their world becomes a little bit bigger.
Enter the Shroud brothers.
One day, while a fourteen year old Yuu is in the forest gathering edible plants, she happens to hear a lot of yelling, and out of curiosity, she decides to check the situation out but fully intends to remain out of sight since the villagers have to be behind the ruckus and she knows they won't wanna see her.
Much to her surprise, Yuu finds out the commotion is about the village having discovered that Ortho is a formfolk, which is something Idia and his parents have been hiding these last few years.
You see, a few years ago, there was a living human by the name of Ortho Shroud. Sadly, he fell seriously ill and died despite his family's best efforts to save him.
Coincidentally, around this time, one of Ortho's favorite toys, a puzzle box that Idia had made for him, became a formfolk and ended up with an appearance just like Ortho's since formfolk tend to end up looking just like their owners.
Because they knew about the village's law about formfolk being forbidden, the Shroud family decided to hide the truth about Ortho's death and bury him secretly, so that formfolk Ortho could take his place.
The only other person that knew the truth about that incident was actually Yuu, because, back when she still could live in the village, she had seen the original Ortho with black threads around his neck which meant death was in his near future, although she didn't say as much because she didn't wanna be blamed for his death.
Yuu found it highly unlikely that Ortho could survive, considering no one with black threads has ever survived before, but she kept those thoughts to herself since she had no proof that he had been replaced. Plus, she didn't want him to get in trouble with the villagers.
Unfortunately, the secret has finally come out, and the village wants Ortho gone by tomorrow. Naturally, Idia and his parents are against this since Ortho's too young to be off on his own, and Idia can't bear to lose his brother again.
Taking pity on them, Yuu decides to get involved after the villagers all return to the village and the Shroud parents run after them in hopes of getting them to reconsider their demands.
Once Idia and Ortho are the only ones who are left, she calls out to them from her hiding spot, catching them off guard. They quickly recognize her, though, since everyone in the village knows her.
Fortunately, they don't treat her like the other villagers do since they don't see her as a monster. The reason for that is because for the last few years their parents have been researching the clan that Yuu's mother came from.
It's her late mother's blood that led to Yuu having her special power because everyone in that clan could see threads like her, and they were often relied on by the shogunate to fight the blightfall.
While the original reason the Shroud family moved to this village several years ago was to be with Idia/Ortho's grandparents who were unable to provide for themselves due to old age/illness, Mama and Papa Shroud soon had another reason for living there, because a few years after they moved to the village, they received an order from the shogunate to research Yuu's mother's clan's sudden disappearance/demise since no one knows what happened to them and why Yuu is the only one with that clan's blood left.
Mama and Papa Shroud, who were both held in high regard by the shogunate due to their brilliant, inventive minds, were all to eager to accept the order because they've always been quite fascinated by the family Yuu's mother came from, so they were all too happy to delve into this intriguing mystery.
As a result, thanks to their research, the Shroud family knows Yuu's situation, and Mama and Papa Shroud really felt bad for the poor girl and wished the villagers didn't treat her so horribly. Unfortunately, there was no reasoning with the other villagers who outnumbered them.
Plus, they were doing their best to avoid drawing too much attention to their family because the whole situation with Ortho.
Anyway, back to Yuu and the Shroud brothers, after she gets the boys' attention, Yuu offers to let Ortho stay in her home, much to their surprise.
While they'll need to make a big show of Ortho leaving so the villagers will be led to believe he's gone for good, Ortho can secretly come back through the forest and hide out on the mountain with Yuu if he so desires. That way he won't have to be completely separated from his family.
Ortho is delighted by this news since he doesn't want to be apart from his brother and parents. Meanwhile, Idia is surprised and confused by why Yuu would help them when they hardly know each other. Plus, they're part of the village that exiled her, even though their family was actually against Yuu being treated so horribly.
Yuu wants to help because she doesn't think it's right to separate Ortho from his family, and she also has noticed that the Shroud family were the only villagers that never treated her unkindly, so that's enough of a reason for her to wanna help them out.
In the end, the Shroud family takes her up on her offer, but it'll be just a temporary living situation since Mama and Papa Shroud intend to ask the shogunate if they can leave the village and plan on wrapping up their reasearch efforts over the next few weeks/upcoming month.
During this time, Idia, who, ever since the original Ortho died, typically spent all his time indoors with formfolk Ortho up until this point because he was so afraid of losing his brother again, constantly visits his brother at Yuu's house, and as a result, ends up spending a lot of time with Yuu and Jack as well.
Thankfully, Jack didn't mind this temporary living arrangement since Ortho's a sweetheart who's willing to help out around the house, and cause the Shroud family never mistreated Yuu.
Thanks to this, the Shroud brothers become a part of Yuu and Jack's little family, and they all become quite close friends.
Because he feels she has the right to know, Idia explains to Yuu about her powers and her mother's side of the family since it pisses him off that she's treated like a monster and that because of the villagers Yuu sees herself in a negative light just cause she's not like everyone else.
Idia also mentions that his parents had talked to Yuu's father about the missing clan as part of their research, but all he knew was that they were dead. He has no idea what happened to them. He was just told by the god of the local shrine that they're all gone now, which was also the story the heroine's father was given in the game.
Yuu is naturally very sad to hear that she's the last of her clan, but she's glad that she's not the only one to ever have had these powers.
She's also puzzled about what happened to her mother and her clan since she doesn't have any memories of her mother. For some reason, she can't remember anything from those years when she had lived with both of her parents, which is also the story for the game's heroine.
The Shroud family knows this because Yuu's father had said as much. Yuu had actually been with her mother when the clan suddenly disappeared, so they think something traumatic must have happened that resulted in Yuu losing her memories.
Thankfully, while he couldn't find his wife or her clan, Yuu's father was able to find Yuu after the incident occurred, and he avoided talking to Yuu about it out of worry that she'd remember painful memories best left forgotten.
That's why Mama and Papa Shroud never tried to question Yuu since, despite their curiosity, they didn't want to endanger her mental wellbeing.
This is why Idia tells Yuu not to think too hard about those memories and says that she's better off focusing on the present than dwelling on the past since finding out what happened to her mother and her clan won't make her current situation any better.
Jack backs Idia up cause he doesn't want Yuu to remember anything that will hurt her, and he also agrees that focusing on what happened in the past won't do her any good.
Even though she really would like to remember her mother, Yuu does think they make a good point, so when she fails to recall anything from what happened all those years ago, she decides to drop the matter, especially after Ortho says his parents are working hard to figure out what happened so she can leave things to them.
Sadly, in the end, Mama and Papa Shroud are unable to figure out what happened to Yuu's mother and her clan, although they do think the snow that's always falling on the mountain where Yuu lives is somehow connected to the clan because it's not natural for there to be snow there all year round, making them wonder if the shrine god that Yuu's father mentioned is possibly behind the constant snow and if the snow has a purpose of some kind.
Even though they're not successful with their research efforts, Mama and Papa Shroud still get permission from the shogunate to leave the village since there's really not much else the researchers can do at this point.
So, once that's decided, the Shroud family leaves and heads for Edo since Mama and Papa Shroud's services were requested by the shogunate which is stationed there.
Yuu is naturally very sad to see Idia and Ortho go since she had been so happy to have more friends, but she's happy that they'll be able to live together as a family with their parents again.
Idia and Ortho wish they could just take Yuu with them since she deserves better than being isolated on a mountain, but Yuu and Jack are a package deal and it'd be rough for Mama and Papa Shroud to take care of two extra mouths.
Plus, with all the blightfalls showing up as of late, Yuu is safer on the mountain, so it's decided that she's better off remaining there.
It's still hard for Idia and Ortho to leave since they got really attached to Yuu, and Idia, who's older than her, feels like he should take care of her like Ortho.
That's why Idia says that he'll come back for Yuu and Jack once his family has settled down in Edo and he thinks that the two can safely and comfortably live in Edo.
Little did Idia know that five years later he'd be coming back for Yuu on the shogunate's orders because her powers are needed to deal with the blightfall.
The reason Idia was sent was because, with his genius mind, he ended up becoming a great resource to the shogunate, especially since, during his time at Edo, it was discovered he had great potential to be a soothsayer, which is someone who can use magic by using their knowledge of onmyodo.
The Shroud family is well-known for having powerful magic users, and Idia ends up being a prodigy, the best the family has seen in many generations.
While he orignally had no interest in using magic and doing this kinda work, Idia started practicing and studying after he moved to Edo so he'd be able to protect his family from blightfall and he had hoped he could solve the blightfall crisis before the shogunate felt the need to seek out Yuu's help.
Unfortunately, Idia wasn't able to accomplish that goal so he's left with the frustrating task of having to recruit Yuu, even though the last thing he wants is for her to have to be anywhere near those dangerous monsters, even if it means he can finally get her far away from that damn village.
However, he can't refuse an order from the shogun, so Idia has no other choice but to go get Yuu, but he's determined to keep her out of harm's way and won't let anyone take advanatage of her like what had often seemed to happen to the members of her dead clan.
Because Yuu is family, and nobody takes advantage of Idia's family while he's around.
Now that I've covered the Shroud brothers, there's one last member of Yuu's makeshift family I wanna talk about here, and he gets brought into the picture after the Shroud family leaves for Edo.
About four years after the Shroud family leaves, a formfolk is born in Yuu/Jack's household, and it's from one of Yuu's old toys. It was a small wooden crocodile that Yuu's father made along with several other wooden animals.
Because the crocodile was her father's favorite animal, Yuu always especially treasured that one after he died, so she'd take extra good care of it and make sure it was always clean as it remained in a shelf that she could always look at.
Because Yuu had a lot of love for that crocodile, a formfolk is eventually born from it, much to her great surprise.
Naturally, Yuu is also very excited since this means she'll have a new family member/friend, and she quickly gives him the name Sebek, which she came up thanks to a book she once read thanks to the Shroud family sharing their huge book collection with her that mentioned the Egyptian deity, Sobek, who is associated with crocodiles.
Jack is a little exasperated by this turn of events because Sebek has such a huge appetite, but he doesn't mind having another face around since he gets along well enough with Sebek. Plus, it makes Yuu happy to have another family member/friend, and he's glad there's someone else to help him look after Yuu.
Sebek here is a lot like his TWST game counterpart, except he doesn't have any negative feelings toward humans, although he does hate the villagers for making Yuu suffer, like Jack.
In this setting, Sebek treats Yuu like his master and is very loyal/decidated to her and quite protective of her.
While Yuu greatly appreciates how dedicated Sebek is to her, she doesn't want him to treat her like she's his master since she sees them both as equals.
Thankfully, after enough time passes, Yuu is able to get Sebek to be more relaxed and less formal around her, and he begins treating her more like Jack, although he still remains overprotective of her.
From the start, Sebek thought highly of Yuu because of all the love she showed him when he was just a wooden crocodile, and he found it impressive that she could remain so kindhearted despite everything she went through thanks to the villagers.
However, after spending time with her as a formfolk, Sebek's attachment toward her grew even stronger because she treated him as an equal and always showered him with so much genuine love and care.
As a result, Sebek becomes quite close to Yuu, like Jack, and ends up seamlessly incorporating himself into Yuu & Jack's little family since the three of them get along so well.
Of course, there are still times when Jack and Sebek butt heads since their personalities are similar, but they never have serious fights and can usually resolve things within a reasonable amount of time.
Unfortunately, while Sebek's presence in their lives is wholeheartedly welcomed, he does make their living situation more difficult because of his large appetite, even with Jack's hunting skills.
Which leads to Sebek eventually deciding that he needs to find a job so he can make money to buy the food he needs since he refuses to impose upon Yuu/Jack despite Yuu insisting that he doesn't have to do that.
Sebek is determined to find work, however, since he feels he should be responsible for himself, and he's also hoping that he can make enough money that he can use it to further improve Yuu/Jack's lives that way they don't have to always scour the forest for food.
That's why Sebek goes on a journey to find work since he doesn't want anything to do with the nearby village. He's hoping he can find a town that's not too far from home, so he can make regular trips back to see Yuu/Jack.
Sadly, Sebek's journey ends in tragedy since he ends up turning back into a wooden crocodile after having saved the shogun, whom he didn't realize was the shogun at the time, from a blightfall by shoving him to safety.
The shogun, who had been traveling incognito at the time, had shared his food with a hungry Sebek who had collapsed by the road prior to that incident, which is what led to Sebek risking his life to save him.
After the Oniwaban, who eventually arrived on the scene, later defeated the blightfall, the shogun collected Sebek's item and decided that he'd make him into a vessel since he didn't know who and where Sebek's owner was, only Sebek's name, since this is the only way to give Sebek's life back to him without his owner.
Plus, by having Sebek join the Oniwaban, Sebek will have a stable job and a roof over his head, which the shogun felt he deserved after sacrificing himself for his sake. This is why Sebek becomes so loyal to the shogun and treats him as his master since the shogun always treats him so kindly.
Unfortunately, this means that when Sebek is reborn his memories and heart are sealed, so he no longer remembers Yuu and Jack, which the two are naturally sad about when they finally reunite with him.
This reunion happens when Idia is sent to retrieve Yuu because Sebek is tasked with accompanying him.
Yuu is elated when she sees Idia and Sebek since she had missed them dearly, and she had been worried sick about Sebek whom she hasn't seen/heard from in months.
(Yuu had wanted to go looking for Sebek, but Jack convinced her to wait since it was possible that Sebek had to travel a great distance to find work or that Sebek didn't want to contact them until he had good news about work since he's so prideful and wouldn't ever want to admit he couldn't do what he set out to do.)
She's both confused and heartbroken when Sebek asks if he knows her while Jack is angry since he can't believe Sebek could just forget them like that.
Upon realizing Yuu is Sebek's owner, Idia quickly pulls her and Jack aside and explains Sebek's situation and how vessels have their memories/hearts sealed.
He also tells them that if a vessel's heart/memories were to ever become unsealed the vessel would soon cease to exist, so if they don't want to lose Sebek, they need to accept his memory loss and not force him to remember.
Yuu is devastated by this news, but she, along with Jack, agrees to keep Sebek's past a secret from him since she can't bear the thought of losing him again.
Fortunately, despite his memories being sealed, Sebek seems to unconsciously recognize who Yuu is since he feels drawn to her, and he's kinder to her than he has ever been to any other human aside from the shogun he so loyally serves.
Sebek is also quick to protect Yuu when a blightfall appears in her village after the villagers get all worked up over Idia and Sebek bringing Yuu down to the village from the mountain, like what happened in the game.
Initially, Sebek fights the blightfall on his own since Idia's magic can't outright defeat blightfall, only someone with Snow Sacrament can do that, but Jack ends up joining the fight despite Yuu/Idia telling him not to.
Much to everyone's surprise, after working with Sebek to fight the monster, Jack manages to unconsciously use Snow Sacrament on the blightfall, which, according to Idia, shouldn't be possible.
Idia has never seen anything like this, so he has no idea how Jack can perform a feat like that, and of course, neither does Jack who was just acting on instinct and his strong desire to protect his friends.
The only possible explanation Idia can think of is Jack's prolonged exposure to Yuu and the fact that he became a Beastman because of Yuu led to him obtaining a special power the likes of which her clan posseses, although it sounds way too surreal to him.
While the shogunate's orders were to recruit just Yuu to the Oniwaban, Idia knows they'll be interested in Jack as well, so he decides to introduce them both to the shogun. That way Jack can remain close to Yuu to keep her safe and Jack can use his power to help them deal with the blightfall.
Initially, there are some reservations about joining the Oniwaban on Yuu/Jack's end, but because they trust Idia and want to be with Sebek, they agree to go to Edo with them after Yuu asks the villagers to take care of her father's grave in her absence.
And that's all I've got right now. I'll write more later if I can think of anything else for this AU lol

✨ they first see masaru and the rest of the nakamichi circus when they saw them perform their street show (starting here), they just happened to be in the park at the time, and it's honestly the first time kero has felt happy since they Arrived in japan
✨ magic of the circus
✨ they spend the next few weeks going to the park and sorta following the nakamichi circus around to see more of their street shows, they don't really have much else to do anyway, they might as well spend some time having fun watching a circus act
✨ they attend so many that they actually start getting recognized by some of the circus members, especially masaru and shirogane since theyre very Perceptive. not a lot of details on those thoughts currently but masaru probably does his Main Protag/Therapist thing and gets to know kero
✨ BUT the way they actually join the nakamichi circus is during the performers meetup (starting here), kero goes to see their show again, but then things start Going Very Wrong and masaru's left by himself with no one to perform with. Little guy problems
✨ they've seen how much masaru and the others have been working and struggling in the past weeks, improving their street show, their cooperation with each other, and even if masaru hadn't talked to them they couldn't stand seeing something that made them so happy go down in flames like this
✨ SO! they hop in with vilma naota and mitsuushi to save the act! they don't have circus training like them so they can't do any fancy acts, but kero knows how to improv and roll with the punches, so they play off of the others as second zanni to liven up the show
✨ after that, i think they'd try to slip away quietly (kind of cant believe they did that) but masaru goes after them and asks them to join the circus!
✨ he knows that they wanted to be a clown, and even without formal training, he thinks having a western style clown will help the nakamichi circus stand out from the crowd! (also a call back to this moment in the manga when they went to see the straw circus)
✨ this is when they actually introduce themselves as Kero Pierrot to the others. there is no other name only Clown
✨ this has been a lot of masaru talk so far sorry he's my little buddy inflicted with main character disease. also i dont get a chance to meet my husband until like chapter 380 so i gotta be doin smth in the mean time
✨ from here on, kero sticks with the nakamichi circus as their new home :) they already knew a lot about clowning, but they really throw themselves into studying it as best they can (usually by spending hours at a library computer since most don't really have a textbook on clowns) and also training with the other members to sorta expand their repertoire. they get a lot better at the classic clown skills, your juggling, your balloon animals, what have you, BUT they also start to learn the cyr wheel!
✨ kero and masaru bond over doing circus training together. i give him a little noogie.
✨ they become pretty close with ryouko and lise too !! i jus love all my circus family i get them to play board games with me
✨ Peaceful Life (Until Its Not)
✨ this post as already gotten so long (and also i wanna reread some parts of the manga to refresh my mindself) so at some point i will expand on kero's feelings irt masaru running away and narumi joining nakamichi circus, but theres a couple other important points i want to make :V
✨ kero sorta takes a back seat with the rest of the nakamichi gang until they show up at kuroga village
✨ Specifically they join lise heima and ryouko in going to mont-saint-michel to follow masaru (they are NOT!!! letting these children go off on their own to fight!!!!)
💕 this is when they meet arlequino hehe 💕
✨ they stay by ryouko's side while they fucking Book It form the shirogane-o, and that's when they run into arle
💕 sorry ryouko but I'M the one who smiles at him 💕
✨ i should make a separate post of the manga panels i'm def in. and/or rewrite the scene as a fic which i might do at some point but just wait
💕 anyway this post is long enough so all you have to know is we get married and now hes my malewife Arlequino Pierrot 💕
💕 tagging my karakuri buddies @dissonantyote @lameassboyfriend (i hope dats oke)
#this is UNGODLY long im so sowwy#this is just a long list of hand wavy ideas and vague shit but hey at least its kind of lore right#maybe someday it will be coherent#si; karakuri circus#selfship#selfshipping#self ship#self insert#frog croak#flash tw#for the blinkie

So I watched "Bullet Train" (A while ago but that's not important)
Since it's been a while since the movie came out I feel pretty safe but never the less Spoilers!
If I had to describe "Bullet Train" I'd call it Hollywood's greatest attempt at emulating less conventional methods of storytelling. With the original text being written by Kōtarō Isaka as a novel (and that end, I have no idea what liberties were taken with its production, and adaptation compared to the original story) and because of that fact it may be cringe to say that on my first viewing, I thought the film felt like something that would do well as a single season 12 episode cult classic anime from the mid-nineties to early two-thousands. Everything from the film's setting to the characters screams that sort of slightly absurdist charm that you'd usually see from that era of anime and manga. A collection of assassins board a bullet train in Japan for a myriad of different yet interconnected reasons strung along by a well-foreshadowed central antagonist and a mysterious yet charismatic dark horse, all taking place in a black humor thriller.
Yuichi Kimura is a father out for the blood of the person that put his son on life support struggling with his position as a father demands of him. Not knowing that his decision had left him as a pawn in a dangerous game he does not completely understand.
Ladybug (which is what I will forever refer to this character archetype as) is a charismatic if oafish thief who seems to live in a state of perpetual bad luck however never fatally succumbing to it. returns to work after a stent away from attempting to reevaluate his choices and steer himself away from some of the more unsavory aspects of his profession and more often than not failing miserably at it.
Lemon/Tangerine, a dynamic duo of hitmen who share a familial bond that goes deeper than blood. The former of the two possessing a humorous yet undeniably advantageous character quirk iconic of the film. While the latter becomes an instant fan favorite due to his relatable yet enviable personality. Both of which serve as the poster children for the film.
The Wolf, a self-made legend of the Mexican cartel who shot up the ranks of his organization with his charisma, intellect, and brutality finds himself in Japan to find the murderer of not only his beloved but his partners in crime. An impressive back story for someone who dies within ten minutes of being introduced.
Hiroyuki Sanada, a disgraced former yakuza and the father of one of the other characters also comes to find the would be assassin of his grandson only to be presented the chance to settle a grudge thats haunted him for the better part of his life.
Last but not least The Prince, the dark horse of the film whose motivations and origins tantalize the viewers the entire runtime. The character you love to hate and a secondary antagonist who far outshines the main one. My hat goes off to Joey King for her performance from this absolute menace The Prince is one of my favorite aspects of the film, the fact that the vast majority of situations she's faced with go her way which helps her be more hatable yet interesting as a character. I'm especially fond of her aesthetic as a character she's not a traditional fem fatal but she still leverages her femininity to achieve her goals falling into that gap-moe of having this adolescent schoolgirl design yet being this conniving machiavellian character.
Now after hearing that line up tell me this doesn't sound like an instant cult hit of a dark comedy. Overall I'm quite fond of the film and if you haven't seen it and didn't heed my warning at the top please watch it its quite the treat. for those who have watched the film and just wanted to read this for yucks, I suggest you read the source material Kōtarō Isaka's Maria Beetle if you can find it.

//Speaking of baddd Ultimates, let's talk Maverick Storm. We know that Kyoji and Umeko were never even born due to their ancestors either not meeting or dying in the invasion of Japan but Maverick was born to American parents, criminals who escaped to Japan while on the run from the authorites. So what gives? Did his parents get captured before they could procreate or is Maverick alive but is a American rather then a Sansei?
//Maverick is certainly an interesting one, as he has massive potential given his status as one of the most feared and dreaded enemies the Quantum Crew has ever faced, and an arc facing him in this story would certainly be a massive highlight, considering the lack of several ASOOT villans, since I killed Emina and had Tsukasa die of cancer.
//The thing with Maverick is that half of his past was mostly due to Kyoji, as he had a tremendous hatred towards him, even discriminating against him based on his Korean heritage, and Nakamura was one of the main reasons he got officially expelled from Hope's Peak, hence why he utterly despises him.
//If Maverick were to make an appearance in the story, I would have to reinvent his backstory, and how he eventually became the scumbag that he became. It's not really easy when you start to analyze it from a critical perspective because Maverick is an extremely complex character to break down, with his own beliefs about humanity and his way of manipulating others to do his bidding.
//The main thing with the villains is that I have massive and extensive plans on what to do with them, yet we barely see enough of them in the story, because ever since Operation Downfall happened and the aftermath of the invasion, it has created an unprecedented junction point that significantly differs, with multiple fan favorites from ASOOT like Kyoji, Umeko, and others not making an appearance in the story due to the events of this alternate timeline. And that goes for the villains as well.
//As of the first arc, the only villains that are confirmed to appear in the story are Franz, The Despair Sisters, Kanade, Wagner, Junya, Haij, and possibly Nagito? I don't plan on making Komaeda a main villain in the story as of late, but he's certainly not going to be great in this AU. But aside from those guys, who else is going to appear in the story?
//Nikolai only made two incredibly brief appearances at the beginning of the arc before fading away into the background. I don't want to reveal valuable information about Nikolai now, as that's for Season 2, where he will truly make his grand debut. And aside from him, most of the ASOOT Season 2 villains are either missing or were killed off before the story even began.
//Emina is already confirmed to be killed by a KGB agent in a post I created months ago, and we don't actually know about Ayato's whereabouts other than he was presumably killed during the raid.
//Tsukasa has already been confirmed to have died of stomach cancer, so that's another villain confirmed to be deceased, and the Basilisk will probably not make an appearance due to the incredible lack of AI and the technological backwardness of this AU. Maybe things will change once Yamato invents the transistor, but that won't be until well into Season 2.
//The only ones that I can do with and write that haven't been confirmed to have died or not exist here, are the HSS(Holy Salvation Society), Juu Kinjo, The Steering Committee, and Tsumugi. But aside from that, we might have an entirely original cast of rogues the Crew will have to face, and I can't even draw to save my entire life!
//On second thought, perhaps it was a really idiotic decision to actually put the technological level form at the late 60s, as it has severely limited what I can do on a technological level, but also limited the number of antagonists I can write, and with the exception of Nikolai, Franz, and Wagner, I don't even have definitive plans yet on what to do with the OC villains. And not having sprites of them severely limits their effectiveness as antagonists.
//I seriously think Maverick would be a MASSIVE boost for the Rouge's Gallery, considering his status as the Ultimate Social Expert as well as any potential arc with him in it is certainly going to attract a lot of attention. So as to answer the question if Maverick will make an appearance or not in the story, the definitive answer is maybe. Perhaps, I can write a convincing story arc with Storm in it, and it can turn out very well, or incredibly poorly at the same time. Either way, if Maverick does appear in the story, consider things to be incredibly different than they were before.
//I'm just at a crossroads on what to do with the villains at the moment since my objective focus is on Hajime and Class 77th-B at the moment and not on people who probably won't be relevant untill Season 2.

May 23 - Free Day
Woke up pretty early today because it's Universal Studios day! After I got ready, I went to the train station, since I needed to take the train from Kyoto to Osaka. At one of the train stations, I bought a melon pan for breakfast, but I was sad it didn't actually taste like melon. Overall, my travel time was about an hour and a half to 2 hours long. I'm so happy that I know how to navigate the train system by now because if I didn't, then I probably would've gotten lost with all the transfers I had to do. But anyways, I got to Universal around 9:20am. There was a lot of people already. I took some pictures and then entered the park. This was around the time when I realized that I left my charger at home and used up about 40% of my battery on the train. So I started conserving energy and took most of my pictures on the digital camera instead.
To be honest, I didn't really have a game plan coming into Universal, so I just started walking around. The first thing I ended up going to was the Detective Conan 4-D Live Show: Jewel Under the Starry Sky. I've never watched the anime, but I've heard of it before. I was tired in the beginning, but when the 4-D effects started to kick in, it made me wide awake. The part when the chairs dropped especially woke me up, like it scared me a bit haha. This 4-D show was like nothing I've ever seen before because they included real life actors. It was actually pretty cool, since the jewel and the magician would change from animation to real life or vice versa.
Next, I stumbled upon a Kuromi and My Melody concert. I just saw the stage and the crowd and headed towards it. When I got there, Kuromi and her band were singing and dancing. Then, My Melody came out and joined them. Finally, this guy dressed in white popped out and seemed to be Kuromi's crush...? It was interesting to watch, but overall I thought it was cute. I really wanted to buy some merch, but my frugal self couldn't do it.😔
So I walked some more and saw a pizza place. I realized I didn't eat that much in the morning, and it was about lunchtime so I went in. It also reminded me of how I was starting to miss American food. Anyways, I ordered a Margherita pizza set, which came with fries and a drink.
After a long lunch break, I continued my journey. I passed by the Despicable Me area and the Jurassic Park area. I was upset because all of the Jurassic Park rides were not available and they looked so cool to ride. But once I passed up that area, I came across the signs that said I could sign up to enter the Super Nintendo World, which was the main reason why I wanted to go to Universal Studios Japan. Luckily, it was free to sign up so I got a slot for 5:40-6:40pm. So until then, I roamed some more and found more rides to go on.
One of the rides that I went on was the Jaws ride. I got through the line really fast as a single rider. The ride itself was pretty good. I liked the water splashes and how the boat driver had to plan the shots from her shotgun. There was a part that involved a lot of fire, and it was really cool to see that incorporated.
After Jaws, I walked around the kids area, thinking I would get a Snoopy souvenir for my boyfriend, but Universal merch is so expensive.☹️
Next ride was probably my favorite for the day. I went on Hollywood Dream: The Ride as a single rider. This ride actually had a backwards track as well, but I got sent to fill in space for the forwards track. It's basically like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit from Universal Studios Florida because you can pick a song to listen to as you go through the ride. I chose the song called Osaka Lover by DREAMS COME TRUE. I really enjoyed this roller coaster ride! I liked it so much that I wanted to do the backdrop version, but the wait was so long.😭
Another really good ride was Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba XR Ride - Mugen Train Dream Riders. I also haven't seen this anime, but it was a fun ride, nonetheless. It took a while to get through the single rider line, but it was worth the wait. When you're strapped in, you wear VR goggles as you ride a roller coaster. It was such a cool and different experience for a ride. Afterwards, I made a Demon Slayer medallion for myself.
Some of the last things I did before going into Super Nintendo World included the My Hero Academia: The Real 4-D and exploring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I liked the 4-D show because I got to sit down again, but I thought the Detective Conan one was better and I've never seen My Hero Academia as well. The Harry Potter area was very similar to the one in Florida but smaller. I still liked roaming around though because it's been a while since I went to Florida's version of it. I wanted to ride the Flight of the Hippogriff ride, but I ran out of time. Instead, I drank some butter beer. I also got a Squirtle churro and did some shopping before getting to the Harry Potter area.
Finally, it was my time to enter Super Nintendo World. I was able to go on both the rides there before the park closed. The first was Yoshi's Adventure, which was a cute scenic ride. The second was Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge. It was a driving ride where we wore glasses that allowed us to see graphics, such as enemies coming toward us, coins, power-ups, etc. At the end, I got 140 coins, which was the second highest in my group. Then, I left the park and went home.

G1 Climax Day 1 preview
This is New Japan's annual heavyweight singles tournament. This year we've got a field of 32 men, divided into four blocks. Each man wrestles the other seven men in his block. Whoever ends up with the best win-loss record wins the block. The four block winners and the four runners-up advance to a knockout stage (August 10-13), where it's win or go home. The winner of the tournament receives a trophy and the right to challenge for the IWGP world heavyweight title on January 4 in the Tokyo Dome.
This show features the first round of A Block and B Block matches; the July 16 show will present the first round of C Block and D Block.
A Block: SANADA vs. Hikuleo - Sanada is the IWGP world champion. If he wins the tournament, he gets to name his opponent for January 4. Seeing as wrestling is fake, though, he probably won't win. No championships are at stake during the tournament, but defeating a titleholder in a tournament match is a good way to get in line for a title shot.
Typically the G1 is booked so the champion loses one or two matches, to set up title contenders for the fall shows. Sanada can't lose too many matches, or it weakens the aura of the champion. But he can't win too many matches either, since they probably don't want him to win the block. I expect him to finish at 6-1 or 5-2, which leaves a very narrow path for anyone in A Block to place ahead of him.
Since Hikuleo is a longshot to win the entire G1, this one match is his best shot at getting into the world title picture. It's not unusual for a top star to lose in a big upset on the first night of a tournament like this, particularly in the main event. I can't really picture Hikuleo beating Sanada and headlining in September/October, but somebody in A Block probably will, so there's at least a chance. Even if he loses, this could be the biggest match of his career, so he needs to put on a good showing. My gut feeling is Sanada wins, but I'm not very confident of that.
B Block: Will Ospreay vs. Taichi - Ospreay recently regained the IWGP United States title. Taichi has the KOPW championship, which is occasionally presented like it matters, but not lately.
This is a rematch from February, where Ospreay pretty much destroyed Taichi to get his heat back after Kenny Omega destroyed Ospreay in January. Now Ospreay has avenged his loss to Omega, but he's probably still pretty banged up. So it would make sense if Taichi could get his win back here, and potentially set up a US title match down the road. The more I think about, I bet Taichi wins this match, but Ospreay makes up for it with a strong 5-2 record in the block.
A Block: Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Yota Tsuji - Kiyomiya is a top guy from Pro Wrestling NOAH; in fact, he won last year's N-1 Victory tournament, which is basically Noah's version of the G1. Tsuji just returned from excursion a few months ago and has only had one singles match since then, where the whole build was "we don't know what to expect from this guy." Tsuji lost that match and really needs to pick up some big wins, but I doubt it'll happen here. Kiyomiya is clearly here to advance his interpromotional beef with Kazuchika Okada, which probably means he needs to reach the knockout stage, so I expect him to have a strong run. Actually, I'll just go ahead and pick him to win A Block. And if he's winning the block, he should probably beat Tsuji.
B Block: Great-O-Khan vs. Kazuchika Okada - Khan is the RevPro British heavyweight champion. Okada is one of the NEVER trios champions. Khan is really not at Okada's level, so the only reason he should win here is to tell a story where a shocking upset has everybody second-guessing a heavy favorite. That could be the story they want to tell with Okada this year. But I avoid betting against Okada, so I might as well pick him to go 7-0 in the block.
A Block: Shota Umino vs. Ren Narita - These two came up together in the dojo, and then both went on excursion and returned around the same time. As far as I can tell this is their first one-on-one encounter since 2019, and a lot's changed since then. The main thing they have in common now is that they've both been a part of the whole "Okada is sick of these snot-nosed kids getting in his business" storyline, but I'm not sure how they figure into the future of that. It probably doesn't make much difference who wins this match--one of them might score well enough to advance to the knockout stage, but I can't see either of them winning the tournament.
B Block: KENTA vs. Tanga Loa - Kenta is just coming off losing the STRONG title to Eddie Kingston on July 5. This is Loa's first match since May 2022, when he was sidelined with a knee injury. Interestingly, Loa's last G1 Climax match was in October 2021 in a losing effort to Kenta. These are two middle-of-the-road guys who aren't going to get out of the block and probably won't have any big statement wins, so it's all about putting on solid performances and making a 4-3 finish look good. I'd give Loa a win in his return match, but New Japan isn't always so formulaic about that.
A Block: Gabe Kidd vs. Chase Owens - Kidd recently captured the STRONG tag team championship alongside Alex Coughlin. The duo shockingly joined Bullet Club back in June. Owens has been in Bullet Club forever, but we haven't seen much of him since he withdrew from World Tag League back in November, due to a death in the family. Chase was there for David Finlay taking over the group during the New Japan Cup tour, but I'm not sure where he stands on booting El Phantasmo out of the faction, or all the new recruits (like Kidd) that have joined since then.
Traditionally, when two Bullet Club members meet in the G1 they always do the bit where they "agree" for one guy to lay down for the other, then they get into a fight about it and have a real match. Something tells me Owens will expect it to go like that here, but Kidd will be all business. Regardless, Kidd has to win this match, because he's probably going to finish the tournament at 2-5.
B Block: YOSHI-HASHI vs. El Phantasmo - Yoshi is one of the IWGP heavyweight tag team champions. ELP recently got turfed out of Bullet Club, and then came up short in his big revenge match against David Finlay. So he really needs a win, and he ought to be able to get one against Yoshi. Yoshi surprised me when he beat Phantasmo in last year's G1, but I don't think that's going to happen again this time.
