ive done a big post about some anatomy tips that you can check out here

but it is definitely a little old so here are more tips on anatomy !

i think my most utilized piece of advice for my own sketches is adding guidelines similar to the ones ppl usually add for the face to show where the body is facing? as an example here, i use a curved guide line to show how cj's body twists and tilts to build up a form , as well as lines for his legs and arms just to know where theyre facing

along with that CURVED LINES ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND !!! every part of the body is a glorified cylinder stacked on top of cylinders ! a lot of what helps make a body believable is that there Is some perspective used to show the dimensions even if there isnt any visible background

feet are also smth i see people struggle with and i dont Reallt know how to explain how i draw them but i usually draw a triangle with a half circle in front to mark where the toes are.,., make sure to include the arch of the foot and such..,,. make sure that the back of the heel pushes out a little further than where the leg connects....

this other small tip is about some of my favorite muscles to draw bc idk theyre fun LMAO but its about the deltoid and this other mass of muscle that control the neck

the deltoid is that triangle thats at the top of the arm and part of the shoulder ! adding some small lines that overlap into the arm and show the creases of the skin where the deltoid is placed helps add more solid form into the body :] and just drawing that sloped line of the neck muscles (green part) helps to connect the arm to the neck a littl more believably than if you just drew a straight line from the arm to the neck

HOWEVER LIKE . thats a stylization choice and also a matter of body type since im more used to drawing filled out muscular/fat body types, im not very experienced in bonier kinda bodies !

as for sketching advice ummm ..,. although i usually try to make a sketch as clean as possible first try , dont be afraid to have like a Super rough gesture type of sketch/thumbnail sketch just to get the movement and emotion down as best you can before refining it ! trying to make it accurate and detailed and shit on the get go can cause it to feel rly stiff , so get the Entire pose or comp down quickly in maybe 10-20min or less to just capture the motions before going over it again in a cleaner sketch ?

i tend to have the issue of forgetting to just capture everything first before getting into details so thats something i gotta remind mtself a lot LMAO here are some messy sketches i have where i just wanted to get shit down above all else

i also try to use as little lines as possible and get the vibe right in one brush stroke type of feel , no small chicken scratch/hairy lookin lines , which is mainly bc im aiming to be a storyboard artist and also bc i want to be able to post my sketches without needing to clean them up LMAO the only times i do a second sketch is for bigger pieces usually

Your AweSamDream art has given me so many brain worms how do you make your lines so thin and smooth??? Any time I try ultra thin lineart it always looks very... first time digital artist.

For me it was first i found a brush i liked and then I slowly just kept making it smaller or the canvas bigger. It's a gradual thing and I honestly don't really know what I do or don't do to make the lineart look good. I think maybe part of it is me doing alot of detailing?

I'll put some examples under the cut!

I don't know if these examples will help because I have no idea what im actually doing and can only guess based on what i think i might be doing æsldkjfælksd I colour my lineart which kinda hides(?) the mess a bit sometimes, smooths it out.

I think its important to note that my lineart isn't actually that smooth, it's kinda messy and sketchy alot because i don't put alot of details on my sketches (comparatively) and i dont follow the sketch perfectly when i line. my lineart would probably count as a detailed sketch for many. (the colouring helps alot!)

For an example c!dreams leather armour! in sketches or older arts its more flat where i draw more dimension to it now which also lets me add damage to the leather which i like doing because otherwise i end up feeling the lineart is "empty?" if theres too much space with no lines

I also paint on top of lineart when i don't like how it looked! (link to timelapse of this art)

In the second example i used a round brush for a new way i like with drawing hair! which is why as i wanted to use my favourite brush in this art, i made the lines so small so i could have more lines in the hair! as my favourite bush is fixed in a flat 20 degrees!

My sketches are generally pretty thick lined compared to what i end up lining so many times one line in the sketch becomes two lines in the lineart! i also draw pretty quickly which I'm happy with for the loser energy it gives the lineart (even tho colouring in the lineart can be a pain when i cant just select it all because of so many goddamn holes) But ultimately when you zoom in you can tell its not that smooth, its just smooth-sketchy but throughout it all which makes it conhesive! (i think) (maybe)

the fact c!dream is my own design i know basically on the back of my hand also helps! it means i can just slap it out without really thinking that hard about it because im so practiced ! (which is why i draw him alot lmaoooo) when i dont know a character as well i stuggle more with thinner lineart because i keep refrencing back instead of just doing what i want. when i draw new characters i usually start thicker and then slowly get thinner lines as i figure out how i want them to be drawn.

Notes: gn toon reader, potential ooc, bassie is eager and leans into the games general expectations, you both have a serious talk, pre game, jealous bassie, she kind of... is going through it a little- definitely starting to feel the pressure of being a main and thats bleeding into other parts of her life, it gets messy, there is a happy ending here... kinda. you guys do talk it out, cocoa next ending i just cant say when shes going to be posted

You push your hand in deeper… and all eyes are on you…

Your fingers wrap around something, and you pull out…

Something soft- almost delicate. Your fingers retract almost instantly out of fear that whatever it was, you’d crush it in your hold. How it hadn’t already been flattened into a crumbled mass in the bag was a mystery- and quite frankly you were almost a little impressed. After a second or two standing under the expectant gazes of everyone’s eyes you push your hand back forward and carefully wrap your fingers around whatever it was… and almost agonizingly slowly you draw out whatever it was.

Two flowers, dried and preserved. Connected at the stem… you almost felt a twinge of annoyance that someone would put something so delicate into a bag- though you were sure it was far from the worst item choice inside the sack. The chance to scrape your brain for any idea of who could have been the one to put the item in is taken from you as a split second squeal suddenly silences itself. A moment later Bassie, now sheepish, shuffled to your side to mumble something about it being hers. 

Despite the light embarrassment for her obvious display of the eagerness of being chosen- even by coincidence- her eyes still held some glimmer of… well, being picked. Bassie lightly pushed Cocoa- who still had her paw resting comfortingly on your shoulder- to the side. 

Dandy stood quietly and watched the entire near wordless exchange before he recovered enough to clear his throat. 

“Right! Bassie! Bassie and Dewdrop, I’m sure you both know how the game is supposed to go- to the gift shop with you!” Dandy turned to Vee, and fluttered his eyes. The television scoffed, before repeating the importance of getting a move on… she didn’t seem like she was going to wait for much longer to start the time. Bassie looked like she wanted to hold your hand… but settled on holding her own- clasping them together in front of her as you both shuffled out of everyone’s sights. Down the hall, to the right… into the gifthop- and through the open staff door. The smell of flowers from the gift shop was almost nauseating as you shut the door; sealing the scent away from you for the time being. 

Bassie stood not too far away, shuffling her feet together quietly… she didn’t take a space against the wall or on the floor. Instead, she just stood there with nothing to lean her body against. You weren’t sure you blamed her entirely… the storage room looked like it hadn’t gotten a proper cleaning in a long long time… dust caked the floor and the walls didn’t look much better. Tracks carved themselves from the entrance and the second door- you didn’t even notice that there was a third door until you brushed against the cold metal handles of it. Double doors… where they lead… you had no theory. 

One of Bassie’s hands rises to her right handle and readjusts it. 

In the darkness you could tell that her flowers were… different. You swear they were different colors earlier today- there were more pink flowers earlier… they were still there, but light blue ones had joined the pink and purple petals piled into her head. 

You point to your head almost awkwardly. “Did you change your flowers?”

Bassie’s fiddling hand froze mid shift and remained hooked around her handle. Her fingers pinched the woven material gently, before running the skin over the… what were baskets made of, exactly? 

The catlike smile she usually kept on her face shifted slightly, parting barely as her first attempt to respond failed her. “I did-! I did!” She finally managed to get out, her words chirping in a higher note… forced, but there was an undertone of genuine joy in her voice. 

You only nod in response… before realizing it made you come off as disinterested… and in the face of her happiness it made you feel a little bit like a jerk. “It looks nice… something different- fresh, you know?” Your hands swung awkwardly at your sides as you looked around the storage room. So… so much merch of toons- mostly the mains… all of the Easter toons were here, though… as well as some off colored plushies of some non-holiday toons. “Skins” in a weird way… even if some of them… were a little ugly. You decided it was best Looey didn’t know what they did to his likeness… assuming he didn’t come into the room later for his turn. If he got one. 

“I’m really glad you picked me- I know it's only a coincidence, but,” Bassie caught your attention again as she broke through the pause of silence. Her eyes lowered to the floor as her feet shifted around in the dust and disturbed it… the grey matter sticking to her green stocking and staining them a faded color, clumps of it sticking to the faint fuzz. You swear you saw some shedded strands of hair in the mess. The effort it took to keep your face straight and to pry your eyes off of the… not very pleasant sight… it’s not like it was her fault- in hindsight you both probably should have stuck in the gift shop itself. 

“I’m glad?” 

You couldn’t keep the confusion out of your voice as you tried to look anywhere but her stockings. The stacks of plushies looming over you suddenly felt intimidating as they stared down at you with the same intensity of the stare you were under in the lobby- albeit this time it was all lifeless. You never noticed how much Pebble stared until you saw the emphasized bulging eyes of his plush. The back of your would be neck burned under the false stare as you continued to find somewhere to look- but each attempt forced your stare back into motion. The current task preoccupied your mind enough to hide the fact that Bassie had shuffled even closer to you- her hands still clasped in front of her- her own quickened breathing undetected to you until your eyes finally landed on her face- mere inches away. 

“Woah- woah woah woah hey-!” You sputtered as you backed up a foot or two. In an instant Bassie began to backtrack. 

“Sorry- sorry- I just thought-” Her hands flung to her mouth and covered it. “-I just thought that– with the game, you’d…” Her eyes snapped to the floor where your gaze once settled itself on. Your mouth stretched in a slanted line, your mind still reeling from the sudden turn of events.

She wasn’t… wrong. 

The implications of the game were clear, even to you if this was your first time playing… but that didn’t shake the feeling of shock. Now you were shuffling your feet around as you racked your brain for any idea of how to make the situation just a little less awkward. Your mouth felt dry and you were fighting the urge to start coughing as dust clung to the back of your throat- no doubt going into a coughing fit would make things even worse… it certainly didn’t help that you were pretty sure Bassie was absolutely covered in pollen and that was starting to have an effect on you… how cruel it was for God to give you seasonal allergies, and to stick you in a room with a beacon of nature’s means of reproduction. 

“It’s nothing against you- I mean I don’t… you kind of just swooped in, you know? Take a toon out for dinner at least,” You added the joke last minute in an attempt to try to soften the blow of rejection. It's not that you… disliked Bassie… and truth be told if she had asked or given some form of warning you may have leaned into her idea of what to do for the seven minutes. 

“How come you and Cocoa are so… close.. All of a sudden?” She suddenly spoke up. 

The sudden mention of the rabbit caught you completely off guard, more than her advancement a moment ago… and maybe you were wrong but you thought you saw a twinge of jealousy in her eyes as her stare sharpened against the floor. 

A soft huh pushed her to keep going. 

“You never used to let her hang on to you like that- or maybe I’m misremembering?” 

You scrunched your face. What was she… and then you remembered- the paw Cocoa had settled on your shoulder to keep you steady, and the paw that remained as you gathered with everyone else for the game. You didn’t think anyone would notice- and you had tuned out the feel of Cocoa’s hold on you. 

“Oh- that,” You made a weird humming sound. 

It was… weird to bring up Cocoa in specific, you weren’t going to lie. You’ve been close to other toons before in front of Bassie, but… it seemed there was a line that you unknowingly crossed. 

The hostility in the basket’s voice was unmistakable as she dedicated herself to silently stewing in front of you. 

“She was just making sure I didn’t bump into anyone else- you should’ve seen it, hit her and Flyte- she was just worried is all-” 

And she huffed at you.

Your face dropped it’s confused look and morphed into a frown, while Bassie’s turned into a barely contained scowl. 

“Of course she’d jump on the chance to…” She trailed off through clenched teeth as she finally brought her hot gaze up to you… the hostility in them you weren’t sure was aimed at you or the other holiday toon down the hall. Maybe both. She looked at you like you had somehow betrayed her. You did your best to stand your ground under her glare. 

“You say that like it’s a bad thing, I think it’s sweet that she-” 

“I could have done that, why didn’t you ask me?” She cut you off. You fall quiet. 

This was nothing like the quiet wallflowery toon you had gotten used to being around. There was a certain resentment in her stance that could be seen from a mile away. 

Passing glares shot to the rabbit and the way she fell silent the moment Cocoa had started to speak suddenly became obvious as you rapidly combed through your memories in a desperate search for something to say to calm the toon down. 

“Do you… not like Cocoa?” 

“Yes!” She blurted out. “No!.. No I-” she backtracked for the second time and took a hissing breath through her clenched teeth. 

“I don’t.” She finally drew out as she stepped away from her spot in the middle of the room and leaned against one of the walls- before letting herself slump down into the dust… you don’t immediately say anything as Bassie pulled her knees to her chest and wilted into herself. 

“Everyone fawns over her- followers her lead… that’s supposed to be my job,” She mumbled under her breath as the fire in her rapidly died into something mushy and sopping wet. There was still a hot storm of emotion swirling in her black eyes as her fingers dug into her knees.

You let her statement hang in the air. 

It was a lot to unpack. How could you even start to unpack it? As far as you were concerned the pair were friends- at least that’s how Cocoa made it seem whenever she talked about Bassie… and you had always assumed Bassie was… being herself… when she clammed up around the rabbit. 

A soft sigh escaped your throat as you followed the main to her sitting spot and settled yourself next to her with plenty of space between the two of you. 

“Have you… talked to her about it?” 

Bassie’s fingers sunk deeper into her legs before they forced themselves away to find themselves lightly tugging on her handles. Some hesitation… and you reach your hand to place over hers to stop the yanking. 

“What is there to talk about-” 

Her hands were so tense under yours as they twitched and scraped at the weaved patterns all over her head. At least your touch made the yanking stop. 

“She should know that it's my job- its what I was made for- I’m the one plastered everywhere not her.” 

You frowned. 

This was. Far above your paygrade- and you weren’t being paid at all. Playing therapist for someone in a dark closet was the last thing you thought you were going to be doing tonight. 

“I’m sure she doesn’t mean to step on your toes?” You pulled your hand away and let your sweaty palm rest on the floor. You’d clean later. 

“I mean… it’s… Cocoa… I’m sure if you told her she would underst-”

“You wouldn’t get it, you’re just a.. You’re not a main toon like me- you’re not put under the same standards like I am.” She cut over you again before taking a deep breath. Once more her hands shifted around; one of her hands finds themselves to one of her flowers- which had been slightly jostled out of its secure spot in her basket and hung limply over the edge. The blue petal is pinched between her fingers… and it barely keeps itself attached to the rest of the flower as she rubbed the petal. 

She did have a point. Even if her tone was sharp and her breathing was rapid and shallow. 

You weren’t a main, and you’d probably never know just how much pressure they’re put under. The best you could say was that you saw how the staff held higher expectations for them and they were more likely to be swamped by visitors- but the true extent? 

“Well-”

The door swings open as Dandy announces time was up. In an instant Bassie started to try to regain herself. The flower toon stood in the doorway awkwardly for a few seconds as he surveyed the mess in front of him. 

Horribly he almost looked faintly pleased that the two of you weren’t having that good of a time. 

“Uhm… time’s up..!” He repeated before shuffling out of the doorway- the light flooding in now that he wasn’t blocking it out. You shout after him about knocking next time- your discomfort shoved to the side to make way for pure annoyance. Bassie wasted no time in standing to her feet- and with a half hearted attempt to get the mess off of her she beelined quickly for the door. 

“Hey-” You shoved yourself off of the floor and tried to rush after her… for someone so… short… you didn’t expect her to be so fast. You were almost tempted to make a grab for her but your hand froze before it could wrap around her wrist. 

She didn’t stop for you. In less than a second she was in the doorway of the gift shop and making her escape. 

“I want to understand- can you at least-” You tried to keep up with her. 

She at least slowed down enough to let you catch up. 

“I don’t want to say right off the bat that I get what’s going on, or that I have answers- but…” You loop around her side. Her face still obviously looked distressed as she fought hard to make her expression neutral.

“Why don’t we go up to my room for now? At least until you’re feeling better-” 

You had a sick feeling Cocoa would come ask what was wrong the second she noticed Bassie’s state… and you had a sicker feeling that it would make things so much worse. 

Bassie’s hands balled at her sides. 

…and she didn’t verbally answer as another wave of emotion rolled over her. Just another crack in whatever dam she had built up inside her- you didn’t make too much of a fuss over the tears pin pricking her eyes. 

“Come on,” 

And… at least as best as you could, you tried to sneak Bassie to one of the large elevators in the main lobby to bring her to your room… you could only hope that no one noticed you- as their backs turned to the two of you, focused on the current game.

I remember when they first started their podcast that they were really excited to start and stuff. I also remember, I believe it was their earlier vlogs. When they were still living in Boston and they haven't like went to LA yet, they were talking about turning their basement into a podcast room. Like cmon. This is something they've been wanting to do and you hoes just don't appreciate anything. Like have y'all's mama's not been pissed at y'all for not appreciating her food. Live life positive and not negative tf. But ofc, I respect their decision.

I still enjoy some of those things today but I changed because people in middle school stopped like those things and its embarrassing (well for me at least) to show up in school with anime shirts cuz I'm getting older. Thats what they're feeling I guess. Again, theyre 20 now.

its a fairly well-known thing that nankidai designs the hallucinations in a way that mirrors how it 'started' (in quotes), at least to what i know. so :3 im going to talk about my personal thoughts on how they r designed and how nankidai plays around with it in sprite work! kinda short ramble and this is just. my basic thoughts compressed due to my fear of being far too talky and going in circles

(rant undercut!)

the ones that are red/black stem from guilt, believing you are at fault for what happened to them (usually death!) ie the hallujoe and mr policeman + the ones seen in ytts. using a base sprite and then coloring it with red + black leaning into the horror side of yttd, empty eyes a never ending grin.. you get the picture. its interesting how nankidai draws them... having all of them stem from the base idea of the hallucinations being a 'monster' of some kind.

compared to kannas 'kind' ones, seeming to keep the characters og colors but adding a white overlay. a fairly large contrast to the ones that seem to harm. playing into the idea of it being a 'ray of light' in a way (in kannas eyes at least). even if at first kanna felt like she was at fault for kugies death, she was able to realize that if she was alive.. kugie would want kanna to live. so she carries kugie and even shin with her.

andd then i get to shins (WHICH IS A HALLUCINATION!! I DONT CARE!). the shadow. shadsou. being pitch black instead of when it opens its mouth and the outline. unlike the other ones which have some sort of color, either being dark reds or light colors in general. compared to the other two which had an actual death tied to them, shadow comes from the 'death' of shin tsukimi, being how it convinces shin to go by sou. and like the other hallucinations, mocking shin but instead of it being about how its their fault for their death, its about how shin will die.

anyhow. in short. the way that yttd shows hallucinations is super interesting to me in a theming sense.. all of them stemming from the idea of someone dying.

i have soo many more thoughts abt this topic.. but this is good enough for now :3 feel free to ask any followup questions if you wish.. my ask box is always open! if this is messy. oops. i just got home and had to get my thoughts out.

buckle up gamers, this is gonna be a long one. so i (22nb but i present fem) was out at the bars the other night just kinda hanging out, and a girl (26f) came up and started talking to me. she didnt really seem...super present i guess? and i talked to her to be nice and she had a cool outfit on. well i was a little drunk and ended up giving her my phone number and meeting her husband (39m) and they walked me home. the whole time she was talking about how she doesn't have any friends and her ex friends just wanted to get with her husband. she told me she was bi and i was like hey me too but im not interested in sex so that was cool. she ended up walking me home w her husband bc it was late which was nice, but they seemed really shocked i lived in such a nice apartment(i do, its expensive but my parents pay for it. im really privileged to be able to do that).

i saw her again today because she kept texting me about wanting to hang out, so i went for ice cream with her bc it was in a public place and i wasnt super comfortable going back to her apt with her. i paid for her ice cream bc she said her card wasnt working, nbd bc my parents have money and her and her husband aren't really well off. i said she could pay me back sometime, buy me ice cream or whatever another day, but she really fixated on it. she told me her husband thought i was cute which made me a little uncomfortable but i laughed it of, and then she kept talking about how she was bi and would date a girl and how she approached me not to date but to be a friend and then 'see where it goes.' she also told me she did porn online to make money which is fine w me, that she's on disability but that the money isnt really enough to live on, and that she'd been raped in the past and drugged which yanno a little overshare-y considering ive known her for three days but she really seemed like she needed someone to talk to and im good at listening. well her husband showed up out of nowhere bc he apparently tracks her phone and we all went back to their apartment bc i couldn't say no(im a doormat. i know) and she ended up giving me two pieces of jewelry in return for buying her ice cream which felt a little like overkill. i tried to refuse but she said she wouldn't ever wear them again so it would be fine. it was really kind of her but now i kind of feel i owe her back for them. the whole time i was there they seemed really eager to get me to move in nearby, and while its true that area is definitely cheaper my parents are really fine paying for my expensive apartment bc my tuition is a lot cheaper than my sibling's. she and her husband walked me home again, mentioning they might be going on a cruise in november if they could save up the money and that they could bring a friend. i said id almost definitely have school which they seemed to accept. they kind of seemed to want to see my place, but i told them it was really messy(it is) i have anxiety around having people in my space(i do) and that maybe they could come up another day and i could make dinner, and she told me she didn't like people cooking for her bc she'd been drugged in the past and that i could go over to their apartment again instead.

my parents think theres some really big red flags going on and i should try to break this off sooner rather than later. i pretty much agree. im not gonna ghost her and they dont think i should either, but that i should somehow return the jewelry in a kind way and tell her i cant really be super close friends. my mom had the idea to draw myself wearing the jewelry and then say i still have a memory of it but to return it bc i cant accept such a nice gift which i could try to do.

to be clear i am shit at communication and setting boundaries, im very aware of that, and most of this can be solved by telling her hey i can't accept this gift and im really busy for school a lot and im sorry i cant be as much as a friend as you need. but i still kinda feel like tah for leading her on almost and then breaking it off like everyone else in her life. ive been under a lot of stress bc of school and my stepgrandmother passing and trying to take care of my grandfather so trying to be friends with someone that seems kind of high maintenance is not really tenable for me.

so, wibta if i tried to let her down gently?

soap fucking inhales the drink. its genuinely concerning, to say the very least. he seems to like.. unhinge his jaw like some kind of snake, and then inhales the whole drink in what you think is a millisecond. and since he's the only scotsman on the team- thinks the whole 'tea n biscuits' ritual his colleagues have is utter stupidity, so not only does he now FREQUENTLY drink boba because he likes it- he also drinks out of utter spite.

gaz is the only one with a seemingly respectable opinion about boba, unfortunately. he's had it before, multiple times- it appeals to his sweet tooth and is the occasional treat after long missions. but unlike you, gaz does not value peace, and seems to keep egging soap on in chugging unreasonable amounts of the drink. (and he doesnt mention it, as he does not want to face the same punishment as you did, but he thinks that bubble tea is sometimes, just sometimes better than his cuppa.)

ok where do i start ehmmm

theyre both tmasc 2 me obviously. ive seen hcs of them as tfem post-movie and i think its a good concept it just doesnt fit with my hcs

narrators the generic truscum type of dude, has awful dysphoria and doesnt really believe hell ever be a real man. only got on t like a couple months before tyler blew his shit up, actively starves himself to get rid of any curves etc.

because he mentions his family is catholic in the book i view him as catholic, not religious per se but i think he has a lot of shame and intrusive thoughts about it. didnt get much chances to express himself as a kid even tho he felt wildly uncomfortable being a feminine girl and his mother reinforcing it (well i mean, dads not around, no siblings... no space to interact with much except his mom)

had a binder at one point but lost it cuz of tyler so he had to resort to some very questionable taping options during his stay with him-- before they came out to each other his dysphoria got like. 50 times worse He couldnt even imagine tyler supporting something like that, not even taking him seriously (worst option is kicking him out or worse) so he would just like. straight up ever refuse to strip or stop binding for a couple weeks lol

do i think his dysphoria got any better after they both found out about each other. No. i think it got somewhat worse because well, tyler doesnt even bind and looks more masculine than him. i think he had a deep seated hatred for him for not even trying, and if he got mad for whatever reason hed feminize him in his head, not that he said anything straight to tyler because hed probably get his teeth knocked out 4 it. i guess that also adds to his homophobia cuz tyler doesnt look like your typical man so

now for tyler i also think he has some weird ideas about masculinity (OBVIOUSLY) but its more psychological rather than physical (the narrator being the opposite) . the generic men dont cry type shit. has dysphoria but isnt like, aware of it? its not eating at him or anything he just kinda does things he conditioned himself to do to pass earlier on. gymbro eating disorder (you know the type. guzzling boiled eggs) has to be shredded with low % of fat (i draw him slightly meatier cuz i like it lol. i feel bad drawing him so skinny)

as a kid he grew up in like. a big family in texas and his parents didnt really pay much attention to him and he just did whatever the fuck he wanted half the time so he had the conditions to explore himself. also wore his older brothers clothes and he was generally messy and androg-looking. also energetic. i think he got on t without advice from a doctor in his late teens and his parents were kinda done with him .do whatever just move out

i think he binded at one point but it restricted him from doing the things he enjoyed so gave up on it. and when he got into the masc bullshit he believed getting surgery would be a cop out, not naturally manly so he learned to live with it and doesnt really mind it. only tapes during fights cuz somebody yanked on his boob once :,3

he passes so well in fact the narrator jus assumed he had gynecomastia and didnt wanna be rude about it. also got mad at the narrator for certain things he did (who the fuck uses duct tape to bind??) and his refusal to do things the narrator deemed as feminine - this is hypocritical though cuz he would make fun of him for things he (tyler) deemed as feminine so it was always a lose lose situation. calls him gay as an insult (yes they do fuck. yes hes calling him gay as a feminine insult)

narrator has issues with giving himself t shots because of his shaky hands (and his slight disgust of needles) so tyler does it for him. he sometimes does it back to him if hes feeling brave (and i guess a weird attempt at flirting? lol)

post canon narrator got top surgery, and tyler got only bottom surgery and a hysterectomy (he just really wanted a dick tbf)

they dont really go to the beach but if they did the narrator wouldnt get in the water hed just suffer under the parasol. tyler wouldnt gaf if he was fully naked

i dont have enough of a design for rhinedottir yet to make a detailed drawing, so have a (really messy) doodle instead while I yap about why I ship her with Crucabena

So, I feel the need to explain my Rhinedottir x Crucabena ship cus it's the epitome of a rare-ship- but it's not just a crackship! 

Yes, obviously the element about both of them killing their own kids is why I first thought of it, and that's kind of a  crackship concept, but they're actually generally pretty similar!

Let's start with Rhinedottir! Her name, translated, means Rhine-daughter, and that's exactly who she's based on. In game, she's a witch, in the Hexenzirkel, and from Khaenri'ah. Irl, her mythological inspirations are the Rhinedaughters (sometimes Rhinemaidens), most likely specifically their depiction in Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen and/or the myth it is based on (Nibelungenlied), which is Germany's national epic. The Rhinemaidens are, of course, water-spirits of the Rhine River, usually regarded as daughters of the Rhine itself. 

Crucabena's inspiration (and Clervie's), meanwhile, is Cerridwen, a goddess (sometimes witch, sometimes withc-goddess) from welsh mythology, mostly known for her potion of Awen! However, she also has a husband, who is usually regarded as a giant or fellow god and who is associated with Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake). So, I suppose you could say that both of them are based on mythological beings who are associated with water-spirits and/or deities as well. Of course, Crucabena also uses Hydro (and Cryo) in her fight with Arlecchino, so we can probably assume that that is the element she usually uses. We don't know about Rhinedottir yet, but I think it's not farfetched that she might be a hydro user as well.

Of course, I do also kinda wanna get back to the matter of their kids- because yes, their similar treatment of them is a funny reason for the ship to originate, but they do actually have pretty similar philosophies if Arlecchino and Albedo (and his siblings) are to be believed! Rhinedottir, at least, doesn't seem to be killing for fun- False!Albedo seems to have been illed because he didn't fulfill his purpose and/or wasn't strong enough, wasn't a perfect homunculus, and, as twisted as the idea is, Crucabena's orphan-squidgames seem to follow a pretty similar idea, namely finding the strongest one of them to become her successor, like Albedo is to Rhinedottir. 

NOW if we wanna take the assumption that Clervie might be a clone into the equation, we can also talk about both of them having "artificial" children, but ofc that part isn't at all confirmed.

i could probably and should probably take a better photo but 1. its 2 am i cant sleep and honestly its been a while since ive routinely posted art and i kind of dont know how to make it look nice outside of just. the drawing. ive been having fun with trradtional art its helped a lot with the fact i just kind of started hating my art? traditional art is very sensory and its good sensory to me. alcohol markers have a smell and a sound and are very fun to play with. im aware the piece is messy but also it was SO MUCH fun to doodle and i think it leaves a really colourful and sweet impression

i want to do some less samey but well done portraits particularly of mollymauk because i need some of my own art as a pfp on stuff like instagram and molly is my faveourite and i draw him a lot but i wasnt really proud of the face of the first full proper-y portrait i did also i want to study some other artists particularly what makes their posts look good on a grid because it is also a visual thing i suppose, i dont care about *clicks* i care about having people that care about my art and enjoy it and at least seein smthn nice it always makes my day to see nice tags and comments and stuff anyway idk what im on about i should stop and also go to bed hopefully ill sleep well haha there was a spider on my wall and i think hes lost under my junk piles now but he was kinda a bad climber
