i’m actually grateful for apple tv+ who seems to be able to believe in their tv shows despite ‘low’ ratings.

based on wikipedia, they have 76 ongoing shows (drama + comedy):

- 27 of them were ended but 13 of them had at least 2 seasons which brings us to a 18% cancellation rate after their first season

- 18 of them (23%) were miniseries so their end is justified

- 21 of them are renewed but if if you add the 13 series that had at least 2 seasons, this brings us to a total of 35 shows that were renewed which is a 46% ratio renewal rate

apple tv+ renews half of their shows and i think we should be thankful for them in a time where netflix and amazon cancels 90% of their shows

Oh absolutely…before today I would have never said whatever Reed’s been up to has been part of promo (And tbh I still think his Timebomb posts are his and his alone), but the recent shift to focus on in-studio photos is weird.

This doesn’t feel like typical Reed shenanigans lmao this feels like the Arcane marketing team—especially since for the photo where he’s standing at the podium or whatever he would have had to ask someone else to take his photo.

He had to have gotten permission to post that—there’s no way this is just him.

These photos also let us know that main characters are still recording lines less than 2 months until release, which is WILD. It could be post-production touch-ups but still that’s insane. Less than 50 days until Act 1 drops and starring actors are still in the studio…the Act 4 conspiracy is looking more possible by the hour lmao

my main critique of yellowjackets is that the writers team would benefit from more lesbians. i mean this both in that more characters should be queer, but also that it’s baffling to me how often, particularly with the adult storylines, we are cutting back to and centering men on this show. i think it’s pretty obvious that the yellowjackets and their relationships to each other NEED to be the center of the show, but that feels a bit minimized when we are frequently focusing on the yellowjackets’ relationships to jeff or walter or travis or the fucking cops or dead adam! like what was the point of isolating the adult yellowjackets in the middle of the woods FINALLY together if all the men were going to invade the reunion before it got anywhere interesting anyways? WHY are we bothering to talk about them, when there is YEARS of betrayal and sisterhood and jealousy and regret and longing to unpack with them together?

One thing about Crosshair is that he’s a remarkably intelligent man with a good read of people and situations and emotionally wrecked life decision-making skills. Dude will have some truly perceptive insight into whatever’s happening that hits on a grain of truth, and then that insight will be filtered through so many layers of trauma and cynicism that his conclusion will end up at least 90 degrees off whatever’s right.
