I saw your venus flytrap post and i need to rant.

As my botany professor says, a venus flytrap is the best plant at dying. It needs distilled, pure water (because even drinking water has too many minerals in it). It needs to be left in the sun for like 9 hours and 37 minutes, but if you leave it there for 9 hours and 38 minutes it'll DIE. It can't be too hot or it'll die, it can't be too cold or it'll die. It can't be a perfectly amenable weather, it will also die. You need a very specific type of soil and that bitch better be ALWAYS MOIST, or else IT. WILL. DIE. If you look at it for too long it's going to fucking DIE OH MY GOD.

They look so cool but they're so fucking finnicky. This is why the jar ones are better, those fuckers survive anything (nepenthes my beloved)
