Not an ask but I truly wonder how the reboot will explain why Zoey and Chase (probably) ultimately broke up. Maybe they broke up after graduating PCA and naturally grew apart but who knows… I think that’s what is making me most curious out of the whole reboot (all of this is under the dumb assumption they’re not together due to the What Did Zoey Say bit from years ago being somehow canon even though Dan isn’t apart of this project) Rambling aside, I hope they give Sean Flynn some grit with Chase in the reboot as well. He’s a great actor and it’d be a shame if they didn’t give him equal parts comedy and drama lol

Hoping they don’t flanderize the characters in the reboot even though that seems to be the trend these days 😭 it’d be so interesting if we got to see more of Zoey’s emotions now that she’s older (so hoping they don’t just make her life entirely perfect but her only “problem” is she’s single lmao)

I very much admire your hope. I do not share it as I am a cynic, but I truly do hope that I am wrong, and whoever they got to write it has done something interesting and unique with it instead of throwing a bunch of cliches and lazy fan wishes together and that they can actually write female characters, and that Jamie Lynn can actually act now and has more than two facial expressions, and that Sean can still act and gets the opportunity to perform as well and as interestingly as he did in the best parts of S3. Fingers crossed.

the dynamic of demigods thinking which other demigod is the most powerful is always amusing to me because. like, we know the big 3 kids are all the most powerful. That's just a fact of their universe. And then we know nearly every character views Percy as the strongest demigod, and most people are very rightfully intimidated by him.

and you look at the powers of the Big 3 kids and there's Percy, but then you realize Nico is just kind of objectively more powerful than him but simply chooses to hang out in Percy's shadow like he's Percy's scary dog privileges. Like, the two of them are pretty equally capable of causing multiple different apocalypses. Nico just also has like four different instakill powers and it's not like he doesn't use them. He very much uses them! Not infrequently, even! And they don't seem to take a significant amount of energy from him! And other demigods are pretty intimidated by both of them! But Nico makes a conscious point to keep his cards close to his chest and not let on exactly how dangerous and scary he can be if he wants to. People are already scared enough of him without knowing anything about him and he doesn't like that. Percy doesn't think about that nearly as much, and so usually just goes in guns blazing and that's part of why he's considered a wildcard. And then Nico himself puts Percy on a pedestal, so those who do know more about Nico's abilities then presume Nico knows something they don't about Percy that implies Percy is even stronger than him.

And even on a meta level Nico's narrative role requires him to be functionally more powerful than Percy, because he very often serves the purpose of getting Percy out of situations he can't handle on his own. That's just part of his function as a character! But also narratively he can't overshadow Percy so he just takes a backseat of his own accord and that's very amusing to me.

Headcanon:

Belphegor is aware of a lot of his brothers' specific traumas. He tends to watch their dreams and even dissipates their nightmares, which give him a good idea of what happened and what they fear.

Of course he's not an all knowing genius. Dreams can be as much past memories as they're fears so he does take them with more than a grain of salt. (=Questions whether they're a real event that happened or something his brothers' minds might have created to deal with their trauma.)

When a nightmare correlates with his own traumas and fears he'll mostly just chuck a happy dream at them and leave to sulk, Beel is the only exception to this rule. (An example of this would be anything regarding Lilith's death.)

(When Lucifer dreamed about saving Lilith or not being able to save Lilith Belphegor never realized that Lucifer actually had saved her after the fall.)

Belphegor is aware of how much Mammon is scared of the witches. While he will tease him about it, when the intensity and frequency of dreams about them is increasing, he's the first one to alarm Lucifer.

He phrases it as if he can't be bothered to help but in reality he's just concerned, especially after what happened with Maddy. He's always on edge knowing his brother could get into so much worse trouble just by associating with witches. Even to him his 'scumbag of a brother' doesn't deserve all that.

So, logically, I'm glad they didn't show us Ed and Stede kissing either in Stede's dream or in the mermaid sequence. I think that was a good choice and it gave the impact of their kiss in episode 5 a lot more punch. Kisses in those scenes would have been nothing but a fantasy and this season dwells much more on reality than on fantasies. Saving the kisses made the actual ones all the better.

I know we've all seen and discussed The Kiss so many times by now, but it's nearly the one-year anniversary of GO 2 and ever since I saw this slow motion gif and this clip, it's felt like watching it all over again with fresh eyes.

Everything about this is so breathtaking on so many levels. The way Michael's eyebrows raise, the way he seems to almost lift himself into the kiss, like he was physically bringing himself closer to David's/Crowley's lips, and how they very nearly melt into each other even as they're trying not to. You can almost see their hearts leaping close together, as if something powerful is happening as much within them as without.

It reminds me of episode one and the angel-that-would-be-Crowley snapping his fingers and saying "Let there be light." Four little words, one simple gesture, and a whole universe that wasn't there before exploded into being. Sparks flying, in more ways than one...

And I love it. I love that this kiss is so incredible that we are still talking about it one year later, and that it will forever be one of the most gorgeously searing kisses ever committed to film. I love that we have this kiss specifically because it was Michael and David in these roles, and the once-in-a-lifetime chemistry between them.

There are film kisses, and then there are film kisses, and almost nothing I have ever seen on screen comes close to this, or ever will. I am so, so grateful to Michael and David for giving this to us, and to each other...

obey me! the boys are enjoying the summer festival!! It's another one of my favourite costume design that I really wanted to draw!!

(the sticker was the side project, but wanting to draw the yukata design has always been something i super wanted to do FDSFDS) makes me wonder if Nightbringer would ever bring the old designs back... or at least update the OG game- many food for thought!
