There is something so deeply horrifying about the fajr massacre to me that I cannot put in words. A lot of nonmuslims don’t get it, but Fajr is the most important prayer, it is the only one that gets its own call to prayer and in many ways it is kind of a litmus test for Muslims.

To know that as I lay asleep in my bed for my fajr, they woke up and died at theirs. I can’t help but feel guilty. I know they died in their best state, but I also know that even at their worst, they are better than me. I, who has everything, cannot do something so simple. And they, who have nothing, died for doing it.

There is something so uniquely cruel about attacking people as they pray a prayers done at like 4 in the morning, something so dangerous about it. I am reminded that it does not matter what you do, what we do, what they do, death has been written upon them like flys to a rotten fruit.

And to follow it up with the constant barrage of liberals and leftists alike who have planted ten toes down for Kamala. It just feels like our grief and our death does not matter to them.

I don’t care who you vote for, but you aren’t doing it for Palestine. Like you are doing it for your self and your community, and that’s fine, but don’t tell Palestinians or Muslims or Arabs what to do or say or vote. Cuz for us, that vote isn’t for our community. It just isn’t. And if you are unwilling to even let us pressure her into an embargo, I don’t think it ever will be.
