Obviously, DnD characters are wish fulfillment and lots of people don’t want to address the slow senescence of the vulnerable human form in their fun games. That being said, narratively, I do think that levels should probably fluctuate over the course of a lifetime. The level twenty world-saver is going not going to stay level twenty into their old age—that’s not how athletes and retirement work! Wisdom and Charisma casters maybe, but your STR/CON/DEX builds are going to soften with age. They might still be the spryest bastards in the old people tai chi group, but “terrifyingly in shape 70 year old” is not the same as “deadliest man on the planet”. Drop those old folks a few levels, give them some creaky bones and presbyopia. It’s good for them, promise.

Hey i'm really not looking to start anything, but I dont know how else to say this. lately i've noticed an uptick of people acting petty and rude in the tag

I can't control others' behavior. But I believe it's important to say that, as a reminder for those who weren't there at the time, there was a massive pnat fandom exodus in 2017-2018 as a direct result of infighting and stubbornness happening at the time. That’s the reason why the fandom is so small today. Around 80% of the tag's population, anyone who enjoyed Paranatural at all, slowly disappeared over the course of months. I would really, really hate to see that happen again. Please consider how your words and actions affect other people. Last time, the self-thought richeous actions of a few hurt the entire community, including zack themself. Think about if you want to make those same decisions. If you want to be that few. At least twice a week since July I've had people thanking me for my neuroendocrine cancer education and telling me how often they use the resources I built them :') idk imposter syndrome is ever present and in healthcare you can even have thoughts of "Man, am I spending too much time educating/researching on poorly understood cancers?"

I'm still struggling to decide on format, but I'm currently compiling my research and resources to make a self-guided cancer education resource for my team. I really enjoy my job rn but I think focused cancer education would be nice to springboard into later in life once I finish learning about the inner guts of the ACA. I'm finally healthy enough to consider higher education, but the catch is my employer insurance is the only reason I can get my medical care...and leaving for school to be able to focus more officially on cancer education means I'd lose that medical care security :(
