i was watching an ad the other day and it was this money game, and you had to make choices with the money you earn, such as which house, car, dog, etc. to buy. but then at the end of the ad it showed the player had to make a decision between two different looking females that were different prices!!! the more expensive one was skinnier, whiter, blonde, and had bigger breasts!!! this game and others like it make young kids feel that females are no more than objects to look and ogle at, which is absolutely disgusting!!! the game also makes young females feel that they have to look like that to be valued more, which can cause mental, physical, and social health problems due to the impossible high standards that society creates!!! games like these should be banned to stop the objectifying of females!!!

i didn't have super high hopes for the barbie movie going into complex feminism and political issues or anything considering its made by mattel but the right-wing and male reaction honestly had me really hopeful that i was wrong and that the barbie movie is trying to say something radical. and then i saw the movie and its just like. the most basic boring surface-level feminism movie ever. the most political thing they say is that women have it really rough under the patriarchy which like. yeah obviously. its also extremely nice to men like its clear that the kens turn bad not out of malice but misguidance and ryan gosling ken gets whole musical numbers and a whole arc about finding himself and getting to know ken w/o barbie. even the all-male leadership at mattel is depicted as well-meaning albeit buffoonish at times. so the fact that men and right wing audiences are claiming that the movie is anti-men or is this super radical film is just. incredibly sad to me. like even a movie this non-political with such surface-level corporate feminism is offensive to you? and even the leftists are acting like its revolutionary somehow. if your boyfriend didnt realize how bad women have it before seeing the fucking barbie movie you need to get a new boyfriend. idk. its just disappointing all around to see something as basic as "women have it rough" treated like its a revolutionary concept and it makes me genuinely despair for the future of women that the barbie movie is the most feminism some people have been exposed to. and even that little amount is too much for some people.

while on the topic of iron posting. a very small very insignificant thing that i really enjoy is that nobody really harasses it for not speaking. and like. we don't know precisely why it doesn't speak. it could be because it's mute, it could be due to an unseen injury, it could just be a selective choice, it could be that it never bothered to learn human language to begin with, etc etc. but there's never been a scene (at least as far as i can recall) where mr iron is specifically called out or pressured or anything of the sort. not even by its own haters 4 haters coworkers. and yeah this is realistically probably because its an ESPECIALLY deadly space bat that could kill you six ways from sunday if you pissed it off, but also, y'know, sometimes it's really nice just having a mute character that's treated Normally for once

birth control is literally used as a medicine for SO MANY WOMEN. it balances their hormones and ensures they don’t have to go thru excruciating pain every week. for some women, birth control is used as a medicine bc of disorders like PCOS. some women just use it for literal birth control.

WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THAT AWAY??? WHY ARE YOU CAUSING WOMEN PHYSICAL PAIN??
