Ok we realize we just wrote like a whole tag essay about this but we just realized that we can pare it down to "either no or no but in a way where people probably still talk about thinking theyre hot anyways".

augh. rewatched btvs 5x22 scene where spike & buffy go to buffy's house to get weapons before the big showdown. them having to retrieve weapons is such an amusingly flimsy excuse to have them go to her house so we can have the scene where she invites him in + he promises to protect dawn + "i know you'll never love me" speech. i love a paper-thin excuse to put 2 characters in a room together. especially when those characters are buffy and spike!!!!!!!!!!!!

it really is so striking the way spike refrains from asking buffy to let him in even though he would be perfectly justified in doing so as it's obvious that buffy has forgotten he's not allowed in. i think part of it is that he wants to make it clear that he will respect the boundaries she has set with him. but i also think part of it is that he doesn't wanna feel the pain of being rejected again, because that fucking hurt. if he doesn't ask then he doesn't have to hear her say no again. it shows how head over heels he is for her and how much he has changed since the beginning of the season, when he was challenging her boundaries so much.

spike's expression when he's walking thru the doorway......it's so endearing and some really great acting from james marsters. first surprise and disbelief, then glee which spike is trying very hard to restrain because these are grave times. and yet he can't help feeling so joyous that buffy trusts him. he glances as the doorway like he's thinking "ah yes what a nice house" which makes me laugh because it's so stupid but also sweet. i think it's him trying to play it cool and doing a not so good job of it. there's such a lightness to him - it reminds me of the feeling when you think you did something to upset your friend a few days ago and you're anxious that they've been angry with you all this time and you finally gain the courage to ask them about you and it turns out they were never angry or upset at all. the giddy relief you feel.

and then there's that little moment of tension where they're standing so close together and you think something might happen but then spike breaks off and goes to the weapons chest and starts rambling about what they should take. it's so notable that it's him who gets nervous and moves away. so different from the way he behaved with her in fool for love, getting up in her space and trying to make her admit she had feelings for him. he's accepted that she'll never love him back, and moments like this where it feels like maybe there could be something between them are too painful, so he disrupts the moment. moves away.

jumping to the end of the scene - i love that buffy is on the stairs when spike does his little speech. she's physically above him. "you're beneath me." not only that, she's ascending, just as she ascends at the end of the episode, accessing a level of heroism that spike will never be able to meet. rewatching this part, spike's expression really surprised me. when he says "i know you'll never love me," he doesn't look at all bitter or resentful. his face is open, understanding, compassionate, and thankful. because that's what this speech is - he's thanking her for treating him better than he deserves. he's so grateful for the respect and trust she has given him. it has been truly transformative, as we've seen. only he doesn't get to the actual thanking part, because he cuts himself off, saying he'll wait for her down here. i think he cuts himself off because he realizes that this isn't what buffy needs to hear right now. she's got an enormous battle to prepare for, and a sister to save, and spike's feelings simply aren't important. so he stops mid-sentence for her sake. i think we're meant to understand that the only reason he started to say this at all is that he really thinks he might die tonight and it could be his last chance to let her know what it has meant to him to be treated like a person capable of doing good.

i've focused on what's going thru spike's head in this post bc i think buffy is a lot harder to read here. which is interesting bc sarah michelle gellar as buffy is so expressive that usually you can always tell exactly what buffy is thinking. but when she's with spike in these episodes toward the end of season 5 it's difficult to tell how she regards him. i think a lot of the time even she doesn't really understand how she feels about him. their relationship is so paradoxical. she relies on him but she reviles him. she wants him around but she finds him intolerable. i might rewatch the scene again and make another post about what might be going thru buffy's head, but for now i'll leave it at saying that i kind of love how spike's feelings for buffy are crystal clear to us and buffy's feelings for spike are much murkier. spike started out as this cool mysterious antagonist, whereas buffy has always been the protagonist and we're constantly seeing things from her point of view and being made to understand how she feels. so it's kind of fun to see that flipped a little bit. and it also rings really true for me how buffy in this moment is like, i have 5 billion things to be worrying about right now, i cannot even begin to process whatever feelings i may or may not have regarding spike. and with all of that said........there really is a softness to the way she treats him in this scene. and it's nice.

You take a deep breath, unsure if you should open up, but his easygoing demeanor encourages you. "It's just... I'm struggling, Hanta. People think I'm lazy, but it's like I can't feel anything."

A slight frown caresses your forehead as you consider the time constraints. "But we need to get back to the dorm…"

I think the thing that really gets me about how Viv has written Stolas is that, on top of everything else, it's been several months of in-universe time

So Ozzie's happens at the end of s1 and it looks like Stolas is having a 'what have I done?' moment on the stairs. The next time we see him, The Circus confirms it's the morning after when he wakes up with a hangover. From there it's kind of hard to tell if he's already decided to end the deal or not and he already creeps back to blaming Blitzo for his own romantic delusions ('I'm the fool who believes when you look in my eyes', implying Blitzo ever gave him reason to assume there was something between them when he spent a whole season being annoyed by Stolas)

Anyway, Full Moon confirms several months pass while Stolas is trying to arrange the crystal. He takes a good step of letting Blitzo take breaks from the deal, but the less positive step of sending wheedling 'but I'd like to see you anyway~' type texts, which is a total mixed message on his part. (And Blitzo crucially does not take him up on it, which should tell him something) The only other thing he does is start behaving when he calls Blitzo, though since this happens offscreen it's easy to give Stolas more credit for it than he deserves (since whenever he talks to Blitzo onscreen he's always far less nice than the narrative wants to make him out to be and we still don't know if Blitzo even wanted to field these calls but felt obliged to).

Either way, Stolas had several months to reflect on what Blitzo said during Ozzie's and the only lesson he appears to have taken from it is 'Blitzy isn't returning my affections, maybe it's the fault of the deal and nothing else?' (and it doesn't seem like he can really commit to believing the deal is that bad, since in one moment he's calling himself a monster and Blitzo his prisoner and in the next acting like the deal never happened)

He still sees Blitzo like an object, only now it's 'I give him with the crystal and he rewards me with love'. He doesn't try to communicate when Blitzo is understandably lost and confused and he gets pissy the moment he doesn't get the response he wants. If we're assuming he's taking Blitzo jumping to think it was roleplay as a rejection, then he isn't handling the rejection particularly graceful. He tries to exit the scene, sure, but when Blitzo follows him he keeps ranting about how long he's wanted Blitzo (as though he expected Blitzo to know in spite of the deal still being in place and him sending mixed messages) and ducking responsibility for why Blitzo doesn't trust he's sincere

And then Blitzo reinforces the idea that Stolas has treated him like crap when he can't comprehend Stolas is being sincere, then gets angry when Stolas pulls his DARVO 'I can't believe you're making it about sex' routine, then he expilcitly refers to what Stolas has 'put him through', mentions he treats him no better than his servants and calls Stolas an asshole

At this point Stolas has plenty of evidence to realize that not only is the deal ample reason for Blitzo to hate his guts, but Blitzo has mentioned directly that the way Stolas treats him and acts is part of the problem twice now. There's something else he needs to figure out and fix.

Stolas couldn't figure that out despite having months to prepare after Ozzie's, but now he has no excuse. And what happens?

The night after full moon Stolas has presumably done no reflection on anything Blitzo said. Throughout apology tour the deal is barely even referenced so it seems like Stolas assumes he's immediately off the hook for that and Blitzo doesn't get to hold it against him (and as usual the show supports that framing by sweeping it under the rug). But not only that, Stolas is now acting like he's the one who's been wronged and he's the one who's angry with Blitzo, who needs to make it up to him.

Despite knowing Blitzo feels he treats him like an underling he just straight tells Blitzo it isn't true, reframing past events to be more favorable to him (hiding his face in a menu is now 'showing people how much I like you', using his need for the book to extort sex out of him is now 'how hard I've tried to support you')

Just like after Ozzie's, he has a moment in the song where he could try and learn something and realize he's the one in the wrong...but he doesn't.

Tl:dr - Stolas has had literal months to reflect and change for the better, but he's still fundamentally the same person who treats Blitzo like an object who should be giving him sex or love depending on what he wants at the time. And now the deal is over and Blitzo has more autonomy to call him out on his shit, Stolas still doesn't do any self-reflection. Instead he gaslights and doubles down, considering changing only in passing before going right back to the same BS he's always done.

Fans who say 'Stolas will change, just wait and let the show cook' - how much more time does he need exactly??? How many more times can Blitzo reiterate what his problem with Stolas is before we admit that Stolas is behaving in a textbook abusive way: he makes token efforts to fix the problem while not fundamentally changing, expects immediate forgiveness and being rewarded with what he wants, then holds the smallest of transgressions over Blitzo's head endlessly in return (or ignores Blitzo is behaving that way as a response to his crappy actions and treats him like he's acting irrationally) while using his tears to emotionally manipulate Blitzo into treating him like the victim

Fun fact, it was apparently going to be even worse. According to the person who leaked the entire plot of Full Moon to me back in November, it was supposed to be the one year anniversary of the full moon deal.

- Mafin rewatch (Sueños de Libertad)

Isidro is possibly the father of the year. Maybe I’ll change my mind when it turns out he’s kind of homophobic, but for now that man gives some seriously good advice. I get why Fina is the way she is, oh not the mood thing, but the stability, the self-assurance. When you have someone holding you up like Isidro does, giving advice like he does, about how the best approach is to find the good sides in yourself and commit to those - I mean, yeah, it’s not hard to understand he could raise a daughter like Fina. It’s also such a nice contrast with the next scene which is the de la Reina’s sitting down for a meal and it’s just the absolute opposite. They too talk about work, but there’s no emotion and there’s no support, it’s more like open hunting season and holds none of the open vulnerability and sincerity of Fina and Isidro's conversation.

Aw man, fuck up my heart with that look Marta gives when Damian talks about how nothing makes him happier than having his kids get married and start families. All that effort she puts in and still she can’t truly make her father proud. That shit is got to sit lodged in her heart like a very jagged piece of broken glass. Also, I think this is the first glimpse of a personality hiding behind the mask.

Jesús and Andrés are two stupid boys fighting over what they think of as toys, women. I do not care for them.

Marta is a sarcastic bitch to Elena and I approve. Okay, second glimpse of a personality, nice. Broken and sarcastic, playing my tune.

That thing Spanish people do with their tongue between their teeth as they pronounce certain sounds, is it just me being gay or is it kind of hot? Granted it’s mostly Marta who is hot when she’s doing it, so I might have answered my own question.

Fina established as a clumsy queen from the getgo tickles me. The way she practically smashed that perfume bottle through the counter as she tried to make a good impression on Marta (and failing) gives her the kind of humanity my otherwise perfect lesbian needs to be nuanced. No one likes a perfect being who looks like her, smiles like her, has that self-assuredness of hers, unless there is also some flaw too her. The fact that this is a character who is so perfect in many ways, but at the same time could probably tear down an entire china shop on her own without the assistance of any bulls - it makes her really loveable. And as a woman who have broken her toe by kicking it into a threshold and given herself a black eye by walking into a doorframe, well I feel represented. Oh, don't get me wrong, there are more flaws to Fina than this, but we're not there yet. One step at a time.

The face of a woman who does not understand the power she holds over other women. And I don't just mean that as a crack at her being lesbian catnip, but the character doesn't actually understand the impact she has on the women around her. She's so used to being compared to the men in her life that I think she doesn't see or understand what a role model she has become for a lot of women, especially those working for her.

Fina being so dismissive when Carmen tells them she’s crying because of Tasio is gold. She just has no time for these fools and I love it. Her silent nod when Carmen says “why bother with a man who doesn’t love you back” - perfection. She is the Oprah gif personified. As I regularly channel my inner Xena while I’m in a professional setting, I think from now on I’ll also try to be channelling my inner Fina when it comes to my personal relationships. As blunt, but reassuring as she is, I think we should all strive to me more like her with our friends and family.

This man wants to fix everything, and yet if you look deep enough, he is absolutely crumbling. He is the Mr. Fear, literally, to instill fear in order to bring what he dictates as peace. The song itself is simultaneously calm and chaotic. Despite how conflicted he ends up being, every single contradiction is still said as a command to the listener.

I specifically associate this song more with her loss of Yahiko and the original Akatsuki than her actual childhood.

This song sort of changed my brain chemistry, both in general and about Zetsu. If you pair the (honestly very strange and parodic) music video with the content of the lyrics, it creates an idea of heightened awareness of insidious knowledge and, though it is meant about modern advertisements, I also take it about being spied on in general, being dangerous because of your knowledge of the world against you. When I started associating this song with Zetsu, I began seeing him more as an active character than one that merely is there. His spying has purpose, he has motives.

Kakuzu: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant

I highkey associate a lot of the themes from the Borderlands series with Kakuzu, featured songs included. This song is pretty self evident to me, overtly about how money motivates people. In my view of Kakuzu, he has crafted over his many decades of war and hardship this encompassing, compassionless worldview of why people do things. If you say "money is the only thing that matters" and you're older than like, a five year old who got their first dollar, you are going to have a strong and elaborate justification for it. It's a song about hard truths about humanity, some things that will never change and you need to accept without taking it personally.

Deidara: Fear & Delight by The Correspondents

Brief aside: gorgeous music video, very skillfully made. Deidara would love it. Certainly a mastercraft of editing and camera tricks.

Dynamic, vibrant song. My partner has used this song as a pairing with another character, comparing the love interest in the song to courting something you really probably should not be. Deidara courts with destruction and death with absolute abandon. His art is beautiful. His art will hurt him. He's so, so okay with that.

In addition, I think this song describes really well how he approaches things that are novel and perhaps frighten him.

Itachi puts his mission first before anyone's impression of him, even that of his beloved brother. However, he can still yearn for his understanding, his respect. The song reflects on doing the right thing without slowing down to explain, lest it be too late, and hoping the pieces may be put together later. Maybe it'll be in your favor, maybe not. That doesn't matter as much as the outcome of your actions.

Orion seemed to frown at this, as her, Sir Pentious, Niffty, Husk, Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb entered a club. She was left in charge for today by her niece Charlie and she found this to be very concerning. Why were they even here? She didn’t think this would help Angel at all.

“Woo! Isn't this place the fucking best?” Cherri asked.

“Um, no! This isn’t a place to be hanging out, Angel. Please, reconsider!” Orion said, and Cherri huffs.

“Oh, look, the “Angel” is speaking on what’s correct and morally righteous!” Cherri sarcastically said, Orion bit her tongue and turned away.

“I'll admit, "Consent" is a good name for a sex club.” Husk said.

“Niffty, dear, what are you doing?” Pentious asked.

At that, Orion sighs and shakes her head. Sir Pentious was wasting his time with Cherri and she knew it. 

“Why? Didn't you say we're arch rivals?” Cherri asked.

“Uhm… uhh… because I'm buying everyone a drink!” Pentious said.

“Free drinks! I love alcohol!” The Crowd said.

Orion pulled Sir Pentious away and he yelped.

“Good, I need a drink after today. You know, Val, he's into this waterboarding shit now, I don't know, it's a kink.” Angel Dust said.

“Angel, enough with the Val talk. He already ruined your whole day, don't let him ruin your night too.” She hands him three pills. “Here, take one of these and you won't be worrying about nothing.”

“What? Getting drunk and fucking up his chance at Heaven?” Orion asked.

“What do you even know about the basics in Heaven anyways? Weren’t you kicked out of Heaven anyways?” Cherri asked, Orion looked at Angel Dust for help, he just looked away. 

“Oh, so that’s how it is, huh? Some friend you are. I tried to help at least when Charlie made you a fool in front of everyone.” Orion blinks back tears of rage.

“Fine! Be my guest!.” Orion stood by Niffty who frowned. 

“I ain't the one trying to get into Heaven. Look, you want to fuck up all your progress? Be my guest. I just…” Husk sighed. “I just thought you were better than that. And, I thought you cared enough for what Orion was trying to and helped you as well.”

“Thanks, Captain Buzzkill, but the Angel doesn’t have the proper understanding that a friend like me has!. Come on, Angie, let's get fucked up! It's been too long!” Cherri said.

“I uhh… I don't know, it's been a long night and I don't need to go too wild.” Angel declines.

“Hmm.” Husk smiled.

“Come on, bitch. If you've really been working that hard, you deserve a little R and R, some THC, or maybe PCP with DMT. Aw, fuck it, let's see where the night takes us, huh?” Cherri asked.

“Cherri, stop it, he said no. Don’t peer pressure him!” Orion steps in front of Cherri who shoves her back. Orion fell on the floor, her wings spreading out in warning as if to warn her. Cherri snorts.

“What is this? A way to “intimidate” me? You don’t even scare me in the slightest.” Cherri said, and crossed her arms waiting for Angel Dust’s response. Orion sighs. 

Sir Pentious slithers back.

“I.. I guess?” Angel Dust questions.

“Cherri, I bought you a shot. B-because I bought everyone another shot! Hooray!” He chuckles.

“Yeah! Another drink! I love alcohol!” The Crowd said.

“Ah… Fuck it, let's do it.” Angel gives in to the peer pressure and drinks it.

 Orion’s eyes were downcast as Husk was feeling the same, she met with Husk’s eyes and she can tell he too was thinking the same thing.

“This is a disaster.”

At this rate, everyone was drunk with the exception of Orion who was the designated chaperone for this unlikely bunch. She looked at everyone having a great time, and she sighs, sitting off to the side, a few demons tried to flirt with her but she held them back. 

“Round 12, motherfuckers! Heels are coming off!” Cherri said.

“Ho ho yeah! Keep 'em comin'! Come on, right here! Come right here to daddy.” Angel said.

“Oh, it's wonderful to have friends!” Pentious chuckles.

“Everything's spinny!” Niffty giggles.

“Ha, I think you're done, tiny.” Angel said.

“No! Gimme gimme gimme!” Niffty said.

“Yeah, but like, you know because you were left behind here. It’s obvious they didn’t want you, no one wants you here at all! You’re ruining the vibe!” Cherri complains. 

“She's like 10 pounds soaking wet and— oh shit, where'd she go?” Angel questions.

Niffty is shoving other patrons' drinks into a sack.

“Hey! Fuck!”

Scene changes to Sir Pentious falling off his seat and slithering over to Cherri Bomb.

That was the last straw for Orion, she sat by letting Cherri treat Sir Pentious like shit, enabled Angel Dust’s addictions and allowed her to push others around including herself. But she drew the line at people dragging Pentious away to be assaulted. She beats up the demons, and Pentious looked surprised as fuck, and shaken up. She hauls him over her shoulder and narrowed her eyes at the remaining people in the club.

“All of you, come to the Hotel. Now, and Cherri, if you don’t care, then fuck off. I don’t care what you are here for, but if you’re not here to support Angel then fuck off. Everyone else, this doesn’t involve you at all. Husk, Angel, Niffty let’s fucking go.”

The others followed behind and Cherri was fuming. She followed behind.

“Hey! What are you doing- Let me go!” Pentious shouts hitting Orion’s back.

“No, I stood back and let you make too many bad choices and I think you need to hear this from me of all people.” Orion places Pentious down on the floor.

“Hear what?” Pentious asked.

“Why do you insist upon Cherri liking you? She didn’t care a lick for you when you offered drinks to her, and even less when you tried to have sex with people! I don’t know what it was like in the 1800s at all, but Cherri isn’t interested in you!” Orion snaps. 

“Why? Ssshe isss!” Sir Pentious croaks.

“She let you get dragged away by those freaks! They were going to fucking hurt you like that guy did to those two girls in 1807! You think that they actually liked you? No! They were going to hurt you! If she cared, she wouldn’t have let you get dragged away!” Orion said.

“And what’s worse, Pendleton! I was sticking up for you and Angel Dust, and none of you, with the exception of Husk, cared to stick up for me! This Hotel is supposed to be a team! Instead these past few weeks have shown that we are far from teamwork! Charlie is taking several wrong steps with this rehab center, and I think we need to actually have a meeting when she gets back from Heaven.” Orion said.

“...I don’t think there’sss sssomething wrong!” Sir Pentious asked.

“Because none of you do! That’s what I am here for! I’m the only bitch here who knows what Heaven is like! Lucifer is an exception because he barely even is around! If anything, you shouldn’t dismiss my warnings! Angel Dust has destructive habits that Charlie isn’t actually focusing on only for him! What he needs is a special one on one and someone who knows why he’s in Hell! Not just some trust exercise and placing a bandaid on it and hoping it works!” Orion said, then turned to face Husk. “Or singing about how his problems aren’t worth it and how you both relate!” 

Husk winces, and Orion wasn’t finished, she turned to face Cherri who had been quiet this entire time. “And CERTAINLY not a friend who continues to pressure their own friend into giving into their destructive habits, destroying any real progress he could have. Can you even call yourself a friend when you continuously prod him and pressure him into doing harmful shit? What kind of friend are you?” She asked. 

“A bad one.” Sir Pentious finally spoke up for Cherri. Orion turned to face him, “No friend would do thisss, nor would they allow sssomeone to be dragged away. Ms. Bomb, I liked you. But it wasss clear that thossse feeling’sss aren't mutual at all. I wanted to impresss you. And I feel… I feel hurt my attemptsss at conversssing wasss met with disssinteressst.” 

Orion takes a look away. She hoped beyond hope that Charlie was able to convince Heaven. Because if so, they were fucked.

What's your take on Louis also saying that he was blindsided by the band ending? I have to admit that when I became a Harry fan and learned about 1D, I immediately thought the hiatus line was for the fans, and that they'd split, but wanted to allow space for a possible reunion rather than toxic gossip.

But even if they were honestly just going on a break, that's a lot of discussion for 4 or 5 people to have, in their various combinations. Louis seemed to be across the management side of things at the time, as well. Didn't they close the 1D-related companies down within the year? There would have been meetings about that, as they were all directors. Do you think he was having a hard time accepting what Harry and maybe others were saying? Or do you think he's a bit disingenuous about it all?

I absolutely think the hiatus line was for the fans. 100%. I have no doubt that they all discussed and agreed with their management and label what their strategy and script would be.

They needed an approach that would help manage the fandom's response. Any British person working with them would have been aware of the response to Take That ending, and 1D and their team also had the very fresh knowledge of how the fans responded to Zayn leaving. I believe they felt a certain duty of care to their fans and felt that officially splitting up would have been too much for them to take, and it was better to leave the door open to a reunion.

Also, more cynically, it allowed the label to exploit the final tour dates and album sales before they departed, and preserve the 'we're brothers' image that was so important to the fans.

I find it baffling that adult fans of 1D don't get this. Yes, 1D lied about being back in 18 months. I'm the first person to usually say "believe what they actually say, not the fantasy/conspiracy you've made up in your head", but I do think this is a completely different set of circumstances. This was PR 101. It's a white lie, a lie to soften the blow, a lie that any grown-up can see a mile away. No-one outside the 1D fandom believed that band were going on hiatus. No-one! Any fan who believed it was either a) too young to know better (which is why 1D did it), or b) willfully fooling themselves.

As for Louis, I don't think he was being disingenuous when he talked about 1D once they'd ended. I think fans just interpret what he says with their own biases to the fore. Nothing that Louis has ever said post-Dec 2015 made me think he believed the band was coming back after 18 months or that they genuinely were on a hiatus.

Louis talked about being surprised and bitter that the band was ending. He has spoken really frankly about how difficult those discussions about 1D's future were. So yes, I think he was finding it difficult to accept what Harry and others were saying during those conversations in that last year of 1D. He literally said so!

“It was an uncomfortable time more than anything. We’ve always had a level of respect for each other in these meetings and we always said that 100 per cent honesty and openness is so important if you’re going to get on as a band.

It made those situations a little bit difficult because I felt like I really was building up confidence in myself and in my place within the band and as a songwriter in the band.

“I could feel that potentially it was going to be a break. What was difficult was trying to understand how long that might be. So that process was kind of a little uncomfortable.

“You’re asking guys who have grown up being best friends to make selfish decisions, which they should do, based on themselves.

But it doesn’t change the fact that it was difficult for me to accept at first.”

This all happened before 1D ended. A fact that most of Louis' fans chose to ignore. By the night of 1D's last performance, Louis was saying (in footage from that night that he released in his documentary):

"As far as I'm concerned there's no guarantee and there's no security, nobody knows what's coming after this. Anything could come next - absolutely anything! It's like starting again to be honest, for me. I'll just take it as it comes, I suppose"

Does that sound like someone who's saying, "We'll definitely be back in 18 months?" No! He has explicitly said that he found the "not knowing" difficult to accept. Some of his fans have twisted that into "He didn't know 1D had ended! He was duped!". Like, how dumb do you think the guy is?? Give him some credit, of course he knew 1D was ending!!! THEY WERE OUT OF CONTRACT! They did not re-sign. That was a decision made long before their final show.

Louis struggling to accept it does not equal Louis being kept in the dark. He wanted certainty, he wanted answers, he wanted to know what his future was going to look like. That's not something anyone could give him, he had to figure that out for himself. Louis knows that, he's spoken about it publicly a thousand times. It drives me nuts that people ignore him!
