I have been saying for years now that natsu can cook. He grew up alone and needed to learn to survive on his own. He can’t always be out there buying food as much as he would probably love to. He loves trying foods and flavors and wants to eat everything (literally) so he teaches himself how to replicate foods he loves! This bleeds over into Lucy and how if Lucy loves a food he will learn to make it for her for special occasions (which let’s me real with sentimental natsu that could be always).

Lucy on the other hand cannot cook. She grew up wanting to but she was never allowed in the kitchen. She can boil pasta and other very basic essentials but she can never get the flavors right. She cannot balance the flavors always adding too much salt or acid to a dish and not knowing how to save it. She never gets the timings right always burning something because she walked away or forgot to chop something. Natsu never minds he loves her and wants to eat her food says it’s full of love.

Lucy can however bake! It’s a science it’s a recipe that is written out to the gram and has timings all over it. She can follow written instructions and mix everything together well. She prides herself on baked goods and the guild is happy to let her. Erza has been known to ask for strawberry cake often. She will make natsu spicy chocolate brownies once a month at least because he inhales those things.

Natsu cannot bake. That man cooks with his heart (years of practice) and thinks winging baking is easy! It isn’t. He creates mush and burnt things and it’s not good. Lucy will try everything though because he made it!

They slowly teach each other once they move in and now they are an unstoppable duo of the kitchen <3333

to natsu, nalu is basically canon

i've had this thought for a while now but

i think natsu dragneel already has it in his mind that he and lucy are.... Together together. Girlfriend Boyfriend. Husband Wife. Married With Kids.

one day lucy gathers enough guts to confess to natsu and he just goes "lucy i dont get it why are you confessing are we not already together but yes i love you too you weirdo"

and lucy is like ... "what did you just say"

and we finally figure out that natsu basically thought they were dating this whole time. and lucy's losing her mind and going "why didnt you SAY anything???" and natsu, dumb dork that he is, just goes "you have to say it???"

AND I GET IT!!! like,,, she's his number one priority every time, sleeps at her house, spends most of his time with her, puts his head in his lap when he's motion sick, saves/catches her multiple times, basically has seen her naked (and only ever showed physical attraction to her and no one else), considers her his best friend and with happy they make this little quaint family, and he doesn't understand why she thought they weren't together. she rewrote his book ffs and saved his life.

HE UPROOTED A WHOLE RAINBOW TREE AND SAILED IT DOWN A RIVER FOR HER. even natsu dragneel, "i love my nakama" incarnate, wouldn't do that for anyone else. so of course he thinks they're together. and lucy just thinks they're tethering on the edge of romance and friendship.

in every universe there was, natsu and lucy were always together. edo-natsu and edo-lucy who have a kid now, and even in "fairy nail" nakku and lusha.

they're just meant to be Together in every way sense and form. natsu knows that!!!

Just started watching Fairy Tail(About a decade and a half late, I know). I'm on episode 7 of the original series.

Of course I have a while yet to go here - but can someone please explain how the top ships for this series on AO3 are not Sapphic!Lucy?????

She is ShockedTM at her own attraction to a man in the First Episode

Her first reaction on seeing pretty much any girl is "She's so pretty!"

On the other hand, she is incredibly unimpressed by literally every man in the series

Erza flusters the hell out of her. And its not a power thing, because Gray and Natsu don't get her all tongue tied. Just Erza.

Just. The entire Virgo intro scene. "I take the form of what I think my wizard would most desire!"

My girl is so gay and I'm in love with her. Please tell me I'm not alone here (and if anyone has any recs for a new fan please share!)

How long has it been already?

One month? Two? Is it five now? The days after the accident blurred together, it all happened too fast— You didn’t remember anymore.

You stood up, and walked over to where your lover sat on the soft grass, gazing out at the river, a pebble in hand. The sky above was coated in orange and pinkish hues, the sunset painting the clouds in a faint gray color mixed with purple, swaying in the cool breeze.

You stayed still, watching quietly. Even though you wanted to speak, you wouldn’t be heard. You were gone after all—

you were dead.

I wish things didn’t end this way.

It had become a routine; this silent watch over them—making sure they were doing well. In the beginning, it was hell. The shouts, the intense denial, the pain. The line that separated the living and the deceased wasn’t too wide.

You still held feelings, memories of your life throughout the years, still shed tears, even without a beating heart.

The pain was supposed to be gone after death. Why is it still there?

Loneliness, sorrow, love, too. It wasn’t different, it felt exactly the same. But it doesn’t matter, your feelings wouldn’t be able to reach them.

Unless we reunite in death.

As more time went by, you started to realize they were moving on— with someone else. Filling the void in their heart, forgetting about you. You could see it in their eyes, you could feel it even—the look of hope, of healing. The way their heart began to beat a bit quicker each time the two were met.

Can you still feel heartbreak even without a beating heart?

You finally had the answer.

You wanted to be angry. Hold a grudge against the person, shout and somehow reach out to your lover and be remembered again. Be loved again. But you couldn’t. You had no voice, nothing to carry your pain in.

Filled with dread, betrayal. You tried to accept their decision and let go, to be happy, but you couldn’t deny the growing feeling of resentment.

Is it selfish to wish that you never let me go?

You could only watch. Watch and wish. Wish that you were still a part of their love, be reassured and held in their arms once again. To be told “I love you” one last time.

But those wishes were unreciprocated. You were forgotten already, fading away in the back of their mind. The pain was unbearable, you weren’t in peace. The vow you once made after death to always protect them, ended up being broken.

You couldn’t watch anymore.

Either way, it wouldn’t have mattered if you still did or not.

After all, they were happy with someone else now.

what I've noticed by rewatching fairy tail

so I'm on episode 70 of my fairy tail rewatch and here are the top things I've renoticed

The art style is very good at the start

There is a lot of redemption arcs

Even from the start Natsu was very strong

Juvia is extremely obsessed with gray and I know she continues to be but rn it's a lot

Majority of the characters have a lot of detail which is amazing

Jellal has too many personas to keep track of,I'm very confused

And finally Jerza is one of the longest slow burns ever

There probably is more but I do forget so I hope you enjoy!!
