Sorry this is a long one, but I wanted to get all of my thoughts out there, and this is probably the best place where I can do it anonymously and won't get HOUNDED for it.

I'm ngl I'm a little concerned for the longevity of Waterparks going forwards. Even back when they switched from Hopeless to 300ent I was worried bc (from what we know) Hopeless have probably been the most helpful and nicest when it came to what parx did both under them and also after they left (I'm mostly talking abt how Fandom was promoted, the sold out shows, Fandom live, and the Turbulent and IMHS single cd's that were sold, like, last month).

I remember that there was a lot of mix ups/overselling (I think) of the different varients of the GH cd's, when those happened, so I can see why they left. But the fact that they were able to make GH2024 means they're still on good terms with 300ent (unlike EVR with Ent19 and DD19)

Even with FBR, that label is (from what I can tell) the ideal record lable to be signed to, for a band LIKE Waterparks. Which was why I was so shocked when they left it. I mean, I can understand if it's bc they wanted to cancel IP2 but FBR still wanted them to release it, but I can't think of any other reason why.

(I keep saying "they" as in the band, but I also feel like Awsten is making a lot of the decisions idk).

And now that they're also not under MDDN managment, I'm a little scared. Because, yes whilst it's good that parx are completely independent and they can do what they want, they're also gonna be limited in those things (mostly due to monitary reasons and connections I think).

Also this is also gonna sound a little selfish, but I'm worried that when they tour next, it'll only be in the states. I'm in the UK, which always has a decent amount of shows anyways (except last tour when they didn't actually come to my city even tho it's one of the major ones and they usually do), but I have a feeling they won't be coming back here, or performing ANYWHERE outside of the USA, for the next album cycle.

(also I meant to write this when the news of them breaking from MDDN came out, but I forgot and then apparently today a bunch of songs off Fandom have been removed from usage on instagram so that got me even more concerned).

i mean parx was never gonna last long especially at this point where they're approaching their mid 30s and even if hopeless was good to them, awsten wanted bigger things outside the pop punk bubble that literally no one else wanted to give them because they don't fit into the mainstream consciousness either whether it's for awsten's sponsor unfriendly social media presence or the fact that parx's music has become so stale either because awsten keeps vying for that mainstream #relatability or that zakk cervini does not know what to do anymore with them that he hasn't already done with other artists.

and parx was always bound to leave fbr. that's like a death sentence to sign there nowadays and even awsten didn't look all too thrilled when he was there signing the contract anyways. i don't think fbr wanted to cancel ip2 necessarily i feel like they wanted another album that wasn't just a double album extension when they already dragged out the single releases in the first place and would just release different versions of singles again is uh. not a good idea in general and once parx left even though they already released their first single via fbr, it was never going to end pretty unless they struck up some sort of agreement (and that was literally never going to happen)

and as for touring i do suspect they'll have to downsize how much they can tour (if the state of their merch and zero management is anything to go by), but they'll probably still be available for shorter events like festivals and stuff because to my understanding they got booking agents and no managers so either awsten is gonna go completely diy starting from scratch or he's gonna find someone probably more evil to manage (most of) what he can't carry - iz

I am a trainee teacher. That means I teach and study. I also have autism diagnosed 2 years ago. In the UK, so apologies in advance if not everything is relevant to all individuals.

Here's my best tips to study:

✅Listening can be easier than reading:

-notebookLM turns words into a podcast interview.

-librivox has classic literature in audio for free.

✅make it fun:

-canva makes (colourful) whiteboards/ mindmaps/ spidercharts/ images/ gifs for free (there is an ai image maker on it, avoid it if you don't like that kind of thing).

-adding images/ colours help with retention.

-pens/ pencils/ cute notebooks/ sticky notes! Do a mini shopping trip and buy it all (within your budget of course!), it will make you excited to be able to use it.

-handwrite - because we don't do it often anymore, it will feel fun and novel and you're more likely to want to do it because of the change

-take a break, don't try and go more than 30 mins at a time! I have my phone with me all the time, as soon as my focus wavers, I don't fight it. I grab my phone and open an app I like (mine is the library reading app BorrowBox and give myself 5 mins on it). Don't feel like you have to only take 5 though, this works for me because I only study 10 mins at a time. Do what works for you.

-jump around - gosh I feel old thinking of that song. But yes, get up, jump, run, move, step outside, breath, shake it up. I'm physically disabled and walking is difficult for me, so I just shove my seat back from the desk, swing my arms around, shimmy my shoulders, roll my neck and ankles, spirit fingers! Sometimes I'm ready to go straight back to work after, if not, I grab my book and read for my five mins.

-put music on - if you don't like silence, put some music on. I put the 'classical music is just heavy metal before guitars' on YouTube in the background. It's fun but has no lyrics to distract my (easily distracted) brain.

-YouTube - similarly you can literally find anything on youtube. Try putting your study subject in and see what comes up. However, if you're the type to fall down a rabbit hole, avoid this one, it doesn't work for everyone!

-Use a timer! You only did 5 mins? That's 5 more minutes than you would have managed if you didn't have your timer. It all adds up.

-little and often - my mum's favourite saying but it works. Don't make studying into a thing, don't block out an entire day to do hours or it. You have 10 mins at the bust stop? You have 5 mins on the loo? You have 2 mins whilst your wait for the shower to warm? Yes, even then. Pull up your notes on your phone, put on a podcast, put that reading book on audio. It will all add up.

-flight mode - sometimes you need to avoid all distractions. I find putting my phone (if I'm not using it's internet to study) on flight mode helps. Make sure you warn those closest to you that you'll be AWOL for a while though so they don't panic if you're the sort to reply before they've even messaged.

-go somewhere else - sometimes your usual area might be too busy (not only with people, but with stuff) so go somewhere else. Library is always a good idea, but anywhere new is good. Nan's house? Cafe? The park in good weather? McDonald's? Bus with WiFi?

-kahoot/ quizziz/ curipod - I use these (apps and online) with my learners, but also on myself. They have quizzes and games made by other teachers for all levels of learners. They're fun, colourful and don't feel like studying. A free account on each is good enough to get most features.

✅reading/ writing made easy

-readwrite is an add-on your browser it helps with reading aloud - webpages and written work - (you can change speed and voices), suggestions, simplify, rewordify, highlights (in different colours).

-Ctrl alt space reads your ms word to you. Again the voice and the speed can be altered for comfort.

-Comic sans is your friend. Originally designed for dyslexic readers, it is more comfortable and easier on your eyes. It helps me find more spelling and syntax errors on ms word than if I use another font (just remember to change it to a "more professional" font before you send your work in).

✅utilise AI - you can give chatgpt or Gemini your document and ask them to condense it for easier reading. You can even ask them to just pull out the important terminology and list it for you. It will help you cut through the crap, which is something I personally have a problem with being autistic

✅Google scholar - need journals and other peer reviewed work? This is where to go. Put what you're looking for in and it will find titles of papers based on the most important words in your query. Further filters can be added to narrow it down. (Then you can get readwrite to read it out for you because I don't know about you, but I find journals boring)

✅elicit - this isn't always great because lots of things are behind paywalls, however, if you are looking for a brief overview of a journal or something similar, it will give you an abstract (summary) of the article.

✅citethemright - is good for referencing and bibliographies. The only problem is, if your college/ uni isn't signed up with it, you can't use it without paying.

✅mybib - however is a free version and it works well enough

✅study buddy - if you're not like me and enjoy the company of other people, this is a great way to hold yourself accountable. "I can't let my buddy down today, they're looking forward to coming over for a study session!" Just make sure you tell them how your routine works, so they're not surprised when you up and jump around after ten mins!

✅Bonus tip!✅ Speed up your audio: you can pick up more than you think on 1.5x or even 2x and you get through more.

The Biggest Prize in Sport 999 1980, Polydor

999 were firmly in the middle-class of the UK’s original punk movement—early live favs, but indifferently reviewed compared to the scene’s titans; charted a handful singles, but all in the lower reaches; managed to record six LPs between ’78 and ’85, some very good, but none that anyone outside of punk nerd circles has heard of today. But a funny thing often happens to the middle-class as the years go on, where their lack of an X factor (be it originality, star power, message) or carpetbagging aura begins to matter less than how perfectly their sound embodies a moment that cannot be recaptured. It’s the power of “they don’t make ‘em like they used to” in action, when having been the eighteenth best English punk band in 1979 means you’re now a minor legend. Credit finally where it’s due: 999 just sound right.

I’m a modestly enthusiastic fan of 999, a sturdy example of punk’s pubby power poppy side, somewhat of a meeting place between the Buzzcocks, Cock Sparrer, and, like, Status Quo. (Probably mostly Status Quo really.) At their best, they totally rip. I once called their sole top 40 hit “Homicide” a perfect pop single, and they’ve got about a dozen songs in the same ballpark, a few of them on The Biggest Prize in Sport. The LP is a ball throughout—the cute “Stop! Stop!” would be among Wreckless Eric’s best album tracks if he’d cut it; “Inside Out” has a hint of disco to its step that sets off the same pleasure centres as good dance punk; “So Long” sounds like the major label version of the Clash’s “Janie Jones” (in a good way). The record feels like driving on a sunny, traffic-free day, and if occasionally you dimly realize you’re not really going anywhere (see “English Wipe-Out”), it doesn’t really ruin the mood.

Thinkin about shit so I'm throwing out my headcanons on the Tracy brothers and general thoughts on em idk why.

Scott

Man's like 6'1 and v athletic, he's a slim fella with light muscle (none of these fuckers r having like mad defined muscle cause I simply do not like it lol).

The prettiest guy, like he's managed to go through puberty without getting bad spots or anything, he has like long eyelashes and is just one of those really pretty guys.

This guy is a calisthenics kinda guy, he's just out here just doing that anywhere he can.

He hates veg, he is a fruit kinda guy, apples and grapes are his favourite.

(According to that recent post) Scott has a limp, he's not got the best knees and obviously he's running around a lot and getting all sorts of bumps and bruises. He doesn't hide it because his brothers know about it and he can't help it.

He gets a lot of negative thoughts despite him being quite a positive guy on the outside, all of his brothers know about this*

If I were to assign him his favourite musical it would be a high energy one like hairspray or Moulin rouge (but the newer Broadway one, with the modern songs mixed in). Also come from away, not sure why.

He doesn't baby his brothers, never has, even when they were babies, he was always just a big brother with em, he would fully talk to baby Alan like the kid could respond to him, but alas he was a baby and he could not.

Virgil

I feel a lot of people see him as a tall guy but nah this man's got width instead, he's like 5 foot 8- 5 foot 10.

He is a weight guy, he does all his running and stuff on missions so most of his home workouts are weights, he doesn't even do it as an exercise chore, he just finds it fun weightlifting, and being able to just lift any of his brothers and dad at any point is his favourite thing.

Opposite of Scott, he's a Veggie guy.

He has alot of bulk to his body, his muscles aren't defined, he has fat that bulks it up and has a v soft tummy which keeps him safe and he's very huggable.

His legs are mad strong, like when hes lifting obviously he's lifting with his legs (cause he's smart) so if u wanna go against him in kickboxing or sommat I'll start digging Ur grave now xoxo.

So as u can see I'm assigning them all musicals and Virgil is the easiest, there are so many that could work for him, I'll narrow it down but I know for SURE that he loves Evita (no this isn't projection), Virgil doesn't have like a set genre like this brothers, since he's like here for musicals, so he likes classics he likes contemporary, he likes watching musicals not just for the music, but for seeing the set, costumes and the tech, Evita has some very nice staging, he also likes Falsettos both US and UK versions, the stagings are very different for both and he LOVES it. Finally he also likes little shop.

Going on from the above, in school he was involved in his schools production of little shop, he was a background character but he also made all the puppets for Audrey II.

Yes he is the medic of the group and I like to believe he has done a course/degree or sommat to be a proper medical person (idk the levels of medical but he's higher than just doing first aid but not too high)

He's a slim guy, similar to Scott, I see a lot people seeing him like veerrryy thin like he's been stretched cause he's a tall guy, I feel like he has a bit of fat on him, he has a soft stomach (not has beefy as Virgil's) and is still a little slim but he has very soft muscle.

He's not a musical guy but he did very much enjoy Cats.

He is a classic guy by liking Mamma Mia and Grease but also loves Something rotten.

He has that Dorito body time since he swims butterfly.

Mullet, obvi. I genuinely cannot think of him without a mullet, I wish I could for everyone's sake but it's stuck in my brain.

I feel I spoke about this last time I did one of these but he suffers from depression and a little bit of PTSD, tho I don't know much about PTSD so I can't go in to too much detail on how he's like, he got it from the hydrofoil accident and (in TAG only) the SOS (I think) dealio.

And I'm mentioning this again from the last one, as much as all the brothers know all the issues of the family (as mentioned at the end) it's Virgil that knows the full deep depths of it, those 2 work together the most and are often left alone with each other so after a long mission or a quiet ride out they get talking and as conversations do they get deeper and deeper.

*None of his mental health issues and such are hidden from anyone in the family, everyone is on the lookout for everyone, and also kinda takes any stigma (if there is any) away from talking about mental health issues, all the brothers have their moments and struggle at times and with this system they can get help with it.

Two A.D. 1995 Ambient Dub / Downtempo / Ambient

Got a mid-90s UK comp here that was made specifically for the chillout room; that place at the club that you migrate towards when you feel yourself coming down from your synthetically-induced euphoria. You just spent hours losing your mind to some rapid, drum-bludgeoning insanity, but now it's time to just sit back and relax 😌.

Alright, so, the back cover for this CD says,

Electronic art for the mind From England, Europe and beyond

And you may not know it, but that 'beyond' word definitely has a double meaning here. I mean, I truly don't know if any of the musicians that are on this comp actually hail from anywhere outside of Europe, but Beyond also happened to have been the name of a UK record label that also put out the exact same type of fare that's on this CD. In fact, Waveform Records, the label that released this Two A.D. comp, was the label that was responsible for releasing some of Beyond’s music in the US. And almost every artist that appears on this comp also appears on Beyond's own 4-volume series, Ambient Dub, which, if this second volume in Waveform’s A.D. series is any indication, is actually a whole lot better, in my opinion.

But one thing that this particular comp really has going for itself is a track called "Autumn Leaves (Irresistable Force Mix Trip 2)" by Coldcut. This legendary remix by the great Mixmaster Morris is simply one of the most beloved songs in the history of ambient music; Fatboy Slim even rated it as his favorite chillout track of all time on a BBC TV broadcast once. And it's also one of the first songs that I ever came across when I started this compilation-collecting hobby of mine, appearing on a 40-song electronic comp put out by that mp3 retailer eMusic (remember them? They're still around!) called Eclectic Electric. So I have a pretty deep familiarity with this sublime tune.

But outside of that and a great, 10-plus-minute song by London duo Sounds From the Ground called "Triangle," I didn't really like this CD all that much. It was just kinda boring and monotonous for the most part. A lot of these tracks seem to be going for some kind of restful minimalism, but that's not really my bag. I love slow music, but I usually need there to be layers of sound and/or some kind of drumbeat. And this album wasn't really good for supplying those things.

Other people definitely feel differently though. This release currently has a 4.27 rating on Discogs with 92 ratings, so the ambient heads who are out there—a tribe that I don't claim to be a member of—would probably enjoy this far more than I did. But I think Beyond’s Ambient Dub series is better than what’s on this album, overall.

it had been around 14 years since ranboo moved to the UK, a year after the day you all met, to be with you tommy and tubbo. you were all thriving; you were living with your best friends, were all some of the most watched creators, you were constantly making new memories with everyone. you even had a wall full of photos of you all from every adventure you had been on with a picture of ranboo poorly edited into the background which made you laugh as you passed the wall every day. almost every evening you would all watch something on the tv, often re watching your favourite tv shows. the past few months had been pretty rough, there were days you didn’t even want to leave the house. you and tommy would fight over the smallest things. for example, a few weeks ago you were both arguing about who was responsible for forgetting something whilst out shopping.

“you were supposed to remind me to get it!”

“i told you to make a fucking list tommy, how is this my fault?”

“because i told you to fucking remind me but you were too focused on playing around!”

“you’re not making any sense tommy!”

“oh fuck off, y/n! i don’t even want to look at you right now!”

“so long tommy i’ll see you when i see you!”

and with that you left to stay with jack until you were ready to go back home, it was around now you lost your love for streaming, however jack encouraged you to stream for a little while so you fans don’t think you’ve left them in the dark. 20 minutes into the stream you felt like you were slowly loosing power even though it hadn’t even been an hour into your stream. A week later you were still with jack, that’s when you got the notification from tubbo.

bo: y/n... we’re sorry we tried our best to make him stay

boo: y/n come home as soon as possible

*tommy has left the chat*

jack offered to drive you back home, which you gladly accepted. the ride was silent, the pair of you still trying to process what just happened, your friend of over 14 years had enough and left you all, until you finally spoke up your voice shaking as you tried not to cry.

“so this is how it ends heh?”

“well at least i’ll save fuel driving taking us all on adventures.”

“youre really joking at a time like this..”

“i was only trying to lighten the mood.. you know you’re being rather selfish not everything is about you. you’ve always been like this.”

“well stop the car then for fuck sake, i’m not getting injured because of you.”

as soon as jack pulled over, you got out and began the walk home, your vision became blurry due to the tears forming as you watched jack drive away. you ended up sitting in a cafe for a while to calm down. none of this felt real you pinched yourself, hoping to find out you were stuck in some nightmare. jack must have returned by the time you made it to the cafe as the community was now spamming questions on twitter asking why jack has now left and unfollowed everyone, followed by your mods telling you to check twitter. your fan base were hurt as their favourite streamers were falling apart and blocking each other. followed by them asking why you’ve not been streaming, you felt like you were going crazy as everyone else was able to stream and enjoyed doing so but you were struggling to stream with no one laughing in the background. you ended up sending a dm to your discord announcements knowing that they’ll share the news.

y/n: so long, goodbye for now. you guys have been extremely supportive over the past 15 years. however there is a lot going on right now (i’ll spare you all the details) i’m going to be taking a break for a while. after all does anybody want to joke when no one’s laughing in the background? i’m sure we’ll meet again, until then my loves!

10 minutes later you decided you should probably go home to the others, after all they’re all you have left.

“i promise to never go outside again.”

as soon as you walked into the house rather than being met with tubbo asking if you were okay, you were met with a notification.

ranboo pulled you as close as he could crying into the crook of your neck, you wrapped your arms around his waist as tubbo left the house. it felt like he took the happy memories with him. as soon as ranboo let go, you ran to your room locking the door trying to hide away from the situation, ranboo sat on the other side of the door not wanting to be alone.

“am i going crazy? would i even know? am i right back where i started 14 years ago?”

“y/n let me in.”

you unlocked the door and practically fell into ranboos arms, once you felt strong enough the pair of you sat on your bed, nothing could separate the pair of you right now, you both lost the people you cared about.

“i swear to god all i ever wanted was a little bit of everything all of the time. i’ve finished playing and i’m staying inside.”

“y/n i’m sorry..”

“im sorry too, ranboo, i guess this is the it.”

“at least we have each other.”

Dream Trip: Japan, always. Especially Kyushu. But the trip I've been dreaming about for ages is taking a camper van through Wales. There is a story to this:

After college, my partner and I went on the classic backpacking-through-the-UK-and-Ireland trip. It was 2006 and we had been able to book most things online beforehand, but Wales lodging had proved difficult to reserve outside of Cardiff. Still! We persevered and the tourist centers were very helpful with helping us find places to stay once we got into a town. Except in this place I can't remember the name of outside of Pembroke. There was a fair. No lodging anywhere. So after a cry and flipping through my travel book, I found a list of camp grounds. We bought a popup tent and a pair of spider-man sleeping bags, hopped on a bus going in the right direction, and got off at the first campsite we saw.

It worked. We camped in a field at the edge of the ocean. It was gorgeous. There was a pub down the road. Someone in the camp made breakfast for folks. I want desperately to go back and do coastal Wales right.

Last Book You Read: To completion: Boyfriend Material. I can't wait for the sequel!!!! The majority of want I read is manga and webcomics though. So last one of that I read was The Pizza Delivery Man and the Gold Palace. Which isn't that good, but I keep thinking maybe it will get good, so I've been sticking with it.

Last Book You Enjoyed Reading: Boyfriend Material, but in the world of BL I would say King's Maker (not the sequel, Triple Crown, which I had to ditch, it dragged so badly). It's a bit intense, but I liked the narrative and pacing.

Last Book You Hated Reading: Hate is a strong word, but I am VERY MUCH over the current Jujutsu Kaisen manga arc. Jesus, just let Gojo out of the damn box. Side note - the Shonen Jump subscription is the best deal in manga.

Favourite Thing to Cook/Bake: I do not enjoy cooking or baking! My husband is not big on it either. Our best friends thankfully like feeding us. I call their house my favorite popup restaurant.

Favourite Craft to do in Your Free Time: I write, which if you are reading this you know. But I'm embarking on an embroidery project inspired by Local Hero. I'm not that great at embroidery, but I like making things.

Most Niche Dislikes: Tom Brady Hertz commercials make me feel violent.

Opinion on Circuses, Now and in History: I don't like seeing animals forced to be entertainment. But I do like big top Cirque shows. I like the feeling of entering a little fort into another world.

Do you have a sense of direction, and if not what if the worst way you’ve gotten lost: I'm not great. I'm one of those people that mix up left and right all the time, so I just point and say that way or have to wiggle my hand a little bit to mimic writing in order to pick out right from left. That said - I am the navigator in most settings. Which, as the people on our Vegas trip know, doesn't mean I know where I'm going.

marco is the adorable, soft, boy next door type of guy. the “yes sir, i will have them back home by nine!” kind of boy.

you started dating him in your senior year of high school after jean introduced him to you.

marco had moved recently into the area, and was the new kid at your school. he was super charming and a lot of people had a crush on him when they first met him, regardless of how nerdy he was.

while he was charming and outgoing, he was also pretty shy which made him more appealing. 

after you had seen him around the school for the first few times, jean introduced you two, saying that he and marco had gotten along immediately after meeting, and he wanted you to get to know him as well.

after a few weeks of hanging out with marco and getting closer and closer to him. 

he had begun to develop a crush on you, so he decided that he would just go for it and ask you out, to which you readily agreed.

marco and you had continued dating after graduating and even went to the same uni, getting your own apartment together after your first year.

again, marco is the softest boy ever. he is absolutely adorable and will treat you like royalty.

he’s an absolute mama’s boy, too, and she taught him to treat everyone he loves with compassion, hence why he treats you so well. 

he has a tendency to buy you things that remind him of you. he’ll be out shopping and see some cute stuffed animal and be like, “this reminds me of (y/n)! i have to get it for them.”

he will always greet you with a hug and a kiss when he comes home, or when you come home.

he loves showing affection to you in any way possible, and will always try to tell you how much he loves you.

he gets unbearably shy and soft when he tells you he loves you, blush covering his freckled cheeks. sometimes he tumbles over his words and gets more nervous.

he’s just SO SMITTEN, you make this tiny boy nervous!

you just return his words of endearment and press soft kisses to his face.

marco is the type of boyfie who will call you like really domestic, married couple kinds of pet names. expect a honey, darling, or sweetheart all the time.

marco would also be super into like matching couple looks. he finds it super cute and sweet to wear the same clothes and hold hands in public.

speaking of holding hands? never even try to let go of his hand when he’s holding yours. he will be so pouty and not stop dramatically sighing until you hold his hand again.

will be all smiles and sunshine when you’ve got your hands entwined though!

it’s so comforting and reassuring to him when he has you close, holding his hand.

marco will always kiss you on the top of your head or on your forehead.

as he is ever the gentleman, he will also kiss your knuckles all the time. he loves how romantic and special it feels because no one really does that.

also loves pulling out your chair for you and pushing you in when you go out to eat somewhere!

i personally hc marco as a music major of some sort. i think music therapy would be suiting for him, tbh, so i hc him as a music therapy major.

he just looks like he would be a good singer, and good with music, okay?

i think he would be pretty good at singing, and also would play a few instruments. 

he would definitely play the guitar and piano. for fun, he picked up the ocarina and he has a ukulele for the hell of it.

when you’re struggling to fall asleep, he will sing to you and you’ll be asleep almost instantly.

he sometimes writes little songs for you on the guitar or piano that he’ll play for you. if he’s feeling cheeky, he’ll write something silly on the uke and play that for you instead.

the ocarina was honestly a joke at first. jean got him into the legend of zelda games and he’s like “hmm i bet i could learn to play one of those...”

so he ORDERED ONE and then wouldn’t stop playing it? so while it’s not horribly complicated, he picked it up extremely quickly and is very good at it.

fun for times where you go on little adventures or walks in wooded areas and he takes an ocarina he has on a necklace so that he can play you some impromptu tunes on it while you guys relax.

he would also love to teach you how to play any instrument if you were to ask him.

he gets so excited about it, ready to put together full on lessons in order to teach you.

just imagine him sitting down on the piano bench next to you, softly telling you where to put your hands, explaining the keys and being so GENTLE when you mess up.

“remember your hand placements, babe!” and he smiles all cute.

back to the music therapy though, he would try to use that when you’re feeling sad and down.

he would be the best boyfriend when you’re upset, albeit a little annoying, but very good to you.

he would always be helicoptering, unintentionally giving you no space if you needed it. 

please don’t yell at him for it though, he’s trying his best to make you feel better and genuinely doesn’t know better. he might cry if you get angry with him. just ask him kindly for time alone.

but when you are not in need of alone time, he will try to help the sadness go away. 

whips out some of his music therapy knowledge.

he will sit down with you, talking to you about music that makes you happy and sad, making you think about why that is, and then make a playlist of music that inspires happiness.*

outside off all his music therapy techniques, he will be someone you can lean on and just vent to, letting out all your feelings to him.

he tries his best to be a strong pillar of support for you to lean on.

now, when marco is stressed out, he tends to not notice and needs you to pull him aside to take care of him. 

he always overworks himself and just,, doesn’t stop. please pry him away from his work so that he can eat properly and get hydrated. 

also give him head scratches when he’s stressed, he will turn into putty. the gently scratching on his scalp almost forces his eyes closed with how good it feels.

nap time with marco is so fun, he likes mountains of blankets covering you two with your bodies entwined beneath them.

cuddling is also so fun because he likes when you guys just like, lay on top of each other.

when you cuddle, he likes holding your hands and pressing kisses to anywhere he can reach on you.

ahhh, kissing him is so sweet, he would never kiss you or even make out with intentions of going beyond just kissing.

his hands always stay above the belt, and he’s honestly so shy and afraid of touching you too intimately.

if you want him to have his hand on your thigh? you’re gonna have to tell him you like that and that you want him to do it more, otherwise he will refrain from doing so.

“marco, you know you can like, put your hands on my hips and thighs, right?” and BLESS this boy, his cheeks would heat up, freckles floating in a sea of pink as he averts his gaze from yours, all shy.

“but i, i just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or make you feel obligated to do anything.” the literal embodiment of 👉👈.

on the topic of shy, respectful marco, he would ALWAYS ask for a kiss, even after like dating for five years or even being married. he just wants to be sure that you want it!

he would never want you to feel as if he’s forcing himself on you.

marco also gets really awkward and flustered when flirting with you.

if you sit on his lap, it’s his favorite thing. he goes as red as a tomato, but he loves the closeness of the gesture.

same goes for if you pull him onto your lap. the baby will be so, SO flustered, but love every second of it.

he’s the type to nuzzle his face into the crook of your neck while cuddling, or the back of your neck when spooning and he’s the big spoon. 

overall, marco is the bestest boyfie, always making sure you’re comfortable and feeling loved. please return the gesture and make sure he feels loved! ♡

Relationship Status: married (over a decade at this point; kind of hard to believe!)

Favorite Color: so many. Navy, wine red, mustard yellow, and army green are my perennial favorites.

Favorite Food: Ramen. Like, the real kind with pork broth and soft-boiled eggs and seaweed and maybe some miso. Such a comfort food

Song Stuck In My Head: My 5yo has been listening to songs from Moana on repeat so I've had You're Welcome stuck in my head for like a week straight.

Last Thing I Googled: primary sources about pirates (yes I've been watching Our Flag Means Death but I've actually decided to let it propel me into working on my original pirate novel which has been kicking around in my head for a few years)

Dream Trip: there are SO many places I want to go. Ireland or elsewhere in the UK, Japan, China, honestly anywhere outside the US. There's literally so much cool stuff in the world I haven't seen.
