• Whenever Sasha fails at her tests and Armin isn’t available to tutor her, she quickly goes to Marco instead. He takes his time and goes step by step with her; he even offers some of his lunch to her if she does well.

• During combat training, they’re both equal in strength. Marco was honestly surprised to witness her catching his weak spots the first time, and he learned from them - so their duels end in a draw.

• At one point, Sasha unintentionally let her accent come through during a conversation with Marco. While she was embarrassed, Marco said he doesn’t mind it at all but he promised to keep it secret for the time being.

• Since Marco is good at braiding hair, he once did it for Sasha. Most of the boys wouldn’t stop looking at her that day and wondered if she did it herself.

• Connie may be the jokester of the 104th but Sasha comes very close with her jokes that get Marco every time. Or he’s the one who always calls her out for going along with Connie’s weird pranks.

• They were the most impressed by everything they saw during their visit to Marley: Marco with the amazing inventions and scenery, and Sasha with all the exotic foods.

• Both made crucial check ups on each other when depressed. Sasha does her best to give a smile and small talk to get Marco’s mind off of past trauma (mostly this is done by Jean).

• In return, Marco makes sure to give a big enough meal for Sasha. As she hasn’t been eating well since the loss of Connie - which affected them both equally.

• After the war ends, they seem to have recovered steadily as they still share laughs together and smile much more when around one another.

• Sasha was first admitted to a college with the major Culinary Science, along with her boyfriend, Niccolo, but left the course after a month

• I want to eat food not study it was what she retorted to everyone, but in reality, she just felt she would not be contributing enough to the community

• As the major took out for a lot of field work, she signs up for all, and even joined internships from the first year itself, regarding the same

• A procrastinator; crams on the night of the exam, while Niccolo is cooking her assortment of dishes and gets super groggy on examination mornings :')

12. Connie: Graphic Design

• His mother was extremely proud of her son getting into the college; so much that she had told every other person passing on the streets how Connie will be a genius, in whatever tech stuff he is doing

• Opted for a college far away from home, because he wanted to experience life to the fullest by living alone, and learning to fend for himself

• Teaches basic computer science to two kids, and works as a freelancer digital artist, along with juggling his classes

• Loves his subject and puts effort behind it quite regularly, but call him for a party he'd be there with two extra beer bottles, ridiculously shimmery clothes and a party popper!

13. Jean: Architecture

• Look me in the eye and tell me that Jean doesn't look like a dreamy arch student, always carrying his sketchbook along with him and sitting down to draw the building or monument designs that seem to intrigue him

• Was in eighth grade, when Mikasa told him that the way he draws the buildings are very clean. Boom, and he wants to draw them for the rest of his life

• For some reason, his mother did not approve of his subject choice, until one day she found a few building designs doodled in placards sprawled over his desk and reconsidered her opinion

• Loves a good party once in a while, but really wants to work behind the subject so sometimes, calls a rain check

14. Erwin: Intelligence

• Ever since Erwin can remember, he wanted to be in the army, fighting for his motherland. That was what he had wanted all his life, and he had every quality to enlist himself for it until he sustained incurable injuries on his right arm trying to save an elderly couple from an accident

• Intelligence major was a piece of cake for Erwin, for he was a natural leader, acing all his classes with ease. He loves spending time in the library a lot, and his favourite book is rumoured to be 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky

• He is equally loved and lusted by the women in his university, but apart from occasional casual flings, he does not want to engage in a relationship because it 'fuddles his mind'

• His room is speck clean and he likes working out regularly and eating healthy (cooks his own food and is distrustful of the canteen meals)

15. Zeke: Law

• In school, Zeke was reprimanded a lot because according to his teachers, he was 'always quipped with a brash follow-up question, with no regards to authority'. In college, he encashed it by enrolling himself in a law major programme

• He is a big believer in practical knowledge and quickly networked to find internship opportunities to practice and observe lawyers alongside his regular studies

• With an absentee father, he worked two side jobs as a cashier at Starbucks and a private tutor

• He participated a lot in debate competitions and moot courts to enhance his critical thinking and analytical skills

16. Marco: Film Studies

• Always a sweet and dreamy guy, Marco chose film studies because he passionately believes films influence people a lot

• Ask him, and he will name the most obscure movies just to seem like a film student with a mysterious air, while in reality, his favourite movie is Mean Girls

• Likes people watching and tries to do all his college work sitting in a cafe, with 'coffee, coffee, coffee!'

• Has tried making short films, and although the themes and plots have been pretty good, he is yet to get real recognition for them

• Ever the cocky guy, Porco took aviation because it made him feel like he was on top of the world

JeanMarco headcanons cuz I have the same haircut like Marco so I'm obligated by law to talk about it

They both fight over the mirror A LOT. If by any chance Marco wins and gets to fix his hair first Jean ALWAYS ruffles it just to be a little shit. Deep down Marco loves it- despite needing to fix his hair again

Marco hates when his hair gets sightly longer because it keeps getting in his eyes. Jean loves it when that happens because he gets to move said hair away from Marco's eyes which results in Marco blushing from embarrassment (and the close proximity)

Sometime Jean would let Marco brush his hair. Marco always hums under his breath while doing that, unconsciously. Jean loves hearing Marco sing and Marco loves brushing Jean's hair. It reminds them both of their family (Jean's mom singing around the house and Marco's siblings begging him to brush their hair because he's so gentle while doing it)

They use the same hair products. Is a nightmare

"You look good, Jean" "Ugh, it won't stay the way I want! So annoying" "Jean. Really. I promise you, it looks fine the way it is now" - they have this discussion at least 3 times a week. Jean's a perfectionist when it comes to his hair. Marco doesn't care that much.

i also think Marco would add just a little honey and rarely some sugar to his tea! plus, Marco would drink coffee if he needed caffeine that bad. on the other hand, Jean avoids tea like the plague (with the exception of a matcha latte disguised as a coffee every now and then). additionally, Jean needs a load of creamer and five different flavored syrups in his coffee. despite all this, Jean thinks preferring coffee makes him more of a tough-guy 🙄 when together, they just dig their heels in the ground to defend their preferences <3

How do you think the Bott and Braus families reacted when they learned that the Jeankasa babies were named after their offspring?

Hey, anon!

'k tbh I know I initially wrote a thing where Jean and Mikasa name some of their children after their fallen comrades, but after some time I've kinda changed my mind on the headcanon.

I tend to go back and forth on names as well. At first I wanted JKs kids to be named Sasha, Asher, and Marco from oldest to youngest, but now I'm on the hc that their kids are named Mathilde, Asher, and Isabeau because I just dig it. I do like to think that 'Sasha' pops up as a middle name for Mathilde because Jean and Mikasa really did love the potato girl to pieces.

Nowadays I can't really see 'em naming one of their kids Marco. I just can't.

Oh and if you're wondering, the baby name I'm most consistent with in all universes is Asher because Mikasa is just really keen on naming her first son after her father. I do go back and forth on which surname Baby Ash is given depending on the universe. Sometimes it's Asher Kirschtein, other times it's Asher Ackerman II, and it will never be Asher Kirschtein-Ackerman because that's a bit of a mouthful.

Marco may not have a big snow globe collection, but his little sister does. And the reason why she had so many is that they’re special yearly gifts from Marco himself.

eren eren really gets into anything competitive, so he particularly enjoys it when a fishing or a bug-catching tournament is being held on your island. he will take it way too seriously, fumbling and urging the goddamn fish to finally take the bait, and will not put the game down until he won the top prize at least once. you find it adorable when he gets overly serious about this and usually rub his forearms and kiss his cheek to encourage him whenever he’s making progress

armin being so enthralled by knowledge, it isn’t a surprise that what armin is most of all fond of on the island is the museum. he always chuckles to himself at the cheesy one-liners coming with each new discovered type of bug or fish and always reads through all of blather’s explanations, then looking up some of the mentioned species online and telling you random and fun facts about them while you lovingly meet the spark in his eye

mikasa oddly enough, mikasa has a soft spot for terraforming. she didn’t think about it much at first, but after finishing the first landscape she built on your island and seeing the amazed look in your eyes as you watched the final product come to life, adorned with the objects mikasa displaced meekly, she couldn’t stop coming up with new ideas to transform your island. to her it’s a way of sharing something special and unique with you, and although it’s just a game she loves coming back to those virtual places that symbolise all the wonderful time you spent together

jean jean has fallen into the never-ending spiral of home decoration, and he isn’t climbing out any time soon! jean has always dreamt of a cosy life in his own house, so animal crossing is just the perfect outlet for his home-decoration fantasies. you look for little changes in the house whenever you play after jean, noticing the furniture he moved or the new one he placed, and your heart warms up when you suddenly find a new object in the middle of the room that was yours to design - it’s a piece of furniture he thought you’d like and didn’t want to forget to give to you

sasha fruit-harvesting and tree-planting is sasha’s jam, so of course she would plant an entire orchard outside your house. she loves to spend a relaxing quarter of an hour gardening and picking fruits - they just look so appetising in the game!

connie connie likes the annoy the crap out of villagers. he would be the kind of guy to hit them in the head with a net or an ax until they get annoyed, making the two of you laugh wholeheartedly before you apologise to the game. still, playing with connie is always a fun time guaranteed

marco being the sweetheart that he is, marco is the helpful player. he just can’t say no to a villager, always swapping objects with them when they ask him to or helping them complete their tasks. he feels like they became friends of yours and made it an unmissable routine to talk to each villager at least once whenever he plays. even when playing games he’s the kindest person you know, which you never fail to tell him

levi levi’s passion for cleaning doesn’t in the least abandon him when he’s playing animal crossing. he picks up every weed or fruit he can find carelessly lying on the ground, clears the clattered corners of your house and makes it a priority to displace home furniture neatly. however, after you told him that some of the objects he removed were part of the decoration you had planned, levi makes an effort to try and not disrupt your aesthetic projects, simply making the island look nice and clean without touching your creations. it makes your heart melt when you see levi’s features soften as he plays, any kind of tension progressively leaving his body while you’re cuddling and playing together

erwin need anything crafted? erwin is your man. his puzzle-loving and methodical mind makes it very stimulating for him to find materials and craft new objects, helping you out a great deal. he also mostly loves to watch you play, his arms wrapped around you and his nose nuzzled in your hair as he soothingly watches you make your shared island a heavenly place

hanji hanji gets excited talking to villagers, either your own island’s inhabitants or mystery island visitors, finding their small quirks and catch-phrases delightful. they find the diversity of villagers in animal crossing really nice and like to have new animals settle on your island no matter what their looks and personality are like

you started dating him in your senior year of high school after jean introduced him to you.

marco had moved recently into the area, and was the new kid at your school. he was super charming and a lot of people had a crush on him when they first met him, regardless of how nerdy he was.

while he was charming and outgoing, he was also pretty shy which made him more appealing. 

after you had seen him around the school for the first few times, jean introduced you two, saying that he and marco had gotten along immediately after meeting, and he wanted you to get to know him as well.

after a few weeks of hanging out with marco and getting closer and closer to him. 

he had begun to develop a crush on you, so he decided that he would just go for it and ask you out, to which you readily agreed.

marco and you had continued dating after graduating and even went to the same uni, getting your own apartment together after your first year.

again, marco is the softest boy ever. he is absolutely adorable and will treat you like royalty.

he’s an absolute mama’s boy, too, and she taught him to treat everyone he loves with compassion, hence why he treats you so well. 

he has a tendency to buy you things that remind him of you. he’ll be out shopping and see some cute stuffed animal and be like, “this reminds me of (y/n)! i have to get it for them.”

he will always greet you with a hug and a kiss when he comes home, or when you come home.

he loves showing affection to you in any way possible, and will always try to tell you how much he loves you.

he gets unbearably shy and soft when he tells you he loves you, blush covering his freckled cheeks. sometimes he tumbles over his words and gets more nervous.

he’s just SO SMITTEN, you make this tiny boy nervous!

you just return his words of endearment and press soft kisses to his face.

marco is the type of boyfie who will call you like really domestic, married couple kinds of pet names. expect a honey, darling, or sweetheart all the time.

marco would also be super into like matching couple looks. he finds it super cute and sweet to wear the same clothes and hold hands in public.

speaking of holding hands? never even try to let go of his hand when he’s holding yours. he will be so pouty and not stop dramatically sighing until you hold his hand again.

will be all smiles and sunshine when you’ve got your hands entwined though!

it’s so comforting and reassuring to him when he has you close, holding his hand.

marco will always kiss you on the top of your head or on your forehead.

as he is ever the gentleman, he will also kiss your knuckles all the time. he loves how romantic and special it feels because no one really does that.

also loves pulling out your chair for you and pushing you in when you go out to eat somewhere!

i personally hc marco as a music major of some sort. i think music therapy would be suiting for him, tbh, so i hc him as a music therapy major.

he just looks like he would be a good singer, and good with music, okay?

i think he would be pretty good at singing, and also would play a few instruments. 

he would definitely play the guitar and piano. for fun, he picked up the ocarina and he has a ukulele for the hell of it.

when you’re struggling to fall asleep, he will sing to you and you’ll be asleep almost instantly.

he sometimes writes little songs for you on the guitar or piano that he’ll play for you. if he’s feeling cheeky, he’ll write something silly on the uke and play that for you instead.

the ocarina was honestly a joke at first. jean got him into the legend of zelda games and he’s like “hmm i bet i could learn to play one of those...”

so he ORDERED ONE and then wouldn’t stop playing it? so while it’s not horribly complicated, he picked it up extremely quickly and is very good at it.

fun for times where you go on little adventures or walks in wooded areas and he takes an ocarina he has on a necklace so that he can play you some impromptu tunes on it while you guys relax.

he would also love to teach you how to play any instrument if you were to ask him.

he gets so excited about it, ready to put together full on lessons in order to teach you.

just imagine him sitting down on the piano bench next to you, softly telling you where to put your hands, explaining the keys and being so GENTLE when you mess up.

“remember your hand placements, babe!” and he smiles all cute.

back to the music therapy though, he would try to use that when you’re feeling sad and down.

he would be the best boyfriend when you’re upset, albeit a little annoying, but very good to you.

he would always be helicoptering, unintentionally giving you no space if you needed it. 

please don’t yell at him for it though, he’s trying his best to make you feel better and genuinely doesn’t know better. he might cry if you get angry with him. just ask him kindly for time alone.

but when you are not in need of alone time, he will try to help the sadness go away. 

whips out some of his music therapy knowledge.

he will sit down with you, talking to you about music that makes you happy and sad, making you think about why that is, and then make a playlist of music that inspires happiness.*

outside off all his music therapy techniques, he will be someone you can lean on and just vent to, letting out all your feelings to him.

he tries his best to be a strong pillar of support for you to lean on.

now, when marco is stressed out, he tends to not notice and needs you to pull him aside to take care of him. 

he always overworks himself and just,, doesn’t stop. please pry him away from his work so that he can eat properly and get hydrated. 

also give him head scratches when he’s stressed, he will turn into putty. the gently scratching on his scalp almost forces his eyes closed with how good it feels.

nap time with marco is so fun, he likes mountains of blankets covering you two with your bodies entwined beneath them.

cuddling is also so fun because he likes when you guys just like, lay on top of each other.

when you cuddle, he likes holding your hands and pressing kisses to anywhere he can reach on you.

ahhh, kissing him is so sweet, he would never kiss you or even make out with intentions of going beyond just kissing.

his hands always stay above the belt, and he’s honestly so shy and afraid of touching you too intimately.

if you want him to have his hand on your thigh? you’re gonna have to tell him you like that and that you want him to do it more, otherwise he will refrain from doing so.

“marco, you know you can like, put your hands on my hips and thighs, right?” and BLESS this boy, his cheeks would heat up, freckles floating in a sea of pink as he averts his gaze from yours, all shy.

“but i, i just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable or make you feel obligated to do anything.” the literal embodiment of 👉👈.

on the topic of shy, respectful marco, he would ALWAYS ask for a kiss, even after like dating for five years or even being married. he just wants to be sure that you want it!

he would never want you to feel as if he’s forcing himself on you.

marco also gets really awkward and flustered when flirting with you.

if you sit on his lap, it’s his favorite thing. he goes as red as a tomato, but he loves the closeness of the gesture.

same goes for if you pull him onto your lap. the baby will be so, SO flustered, but love every second of it.

he’s the type to nuzzle his face into the crook of your neck while cuddling, or the back of your neck when spooning and he’s the big spoon. 

overall, marco is the bestest boyfie, always making sure you’re comfortable and feeling loved. please return the gesture and make sure he feels loved! ♡

Summary: where Marco survives Trost and reunites with you

After what felt like hours of slicing your blade through too many of the Titans necks, you were getting more drained as time went on.

But it was like more titans kept coming through the more you would take some down, it was overwhelming.

That is until all the scouts were called back to regroup and figure out what the next steps will be. There was said that many scouts were still missing and were most likely dead or trapped somewhere.

Your eyes glanced around on top of the roof, looking at everyone and only wanted to see one face, your boyfriends and he was nowhere in sight.

Your heart stopped, it felt like time had frozen still and once the ‘meeting’ was over, Jean had walked up to you first speaking about going off to go find Marco because that was all he cared about at the moment.

“Where would we even start looking? The town is huge and full of Titans.” You followed Jean, you wanted to find Marco just as bad but there were too many options to consider.

It would take hours to even search half of this place while running into Titans and having to take them down in the process.

Plus you were more than terrified, you were too scared you’ll come across Marco’s body or worse- you’ll never even find his remains and everything will stay somewhat of a mystery.

“He was assigned to a specific area, if we go to that we’ll most likely have more of a chance to find him.” Jean turned to look back at you, the pained expression he had given you before turning away.

The both of you stayed silent, the endless amount of thoughts running through both of your heads about him. You were dreading this, you wanted to puke but as you landed up on the roof a few houses down from Jean, you began searching to see any sign of, well, anything.

Half an hour had passed then an hour. It started to make you think of the worse and you were fully convinced that your boyfriend was dead. Your stomach had twisted into knots, the tears threatening to fall the more you thought about it until you heard your name being called from the distance.

“Y/N!” You turned your head, heart stopping completely as you met with Marco’s eyes and his goofy grin on his face.

The tears started to stream down your face more than before, moving your feet to run along the rooftops and using the gear to fly onto the next roof across the street that he stood on.

You tackled him in a tight embrace, almost choking on your sobs as you buried your flushed face into his shoulder. He had looked down at you, the condition you were in made his heart break. He knew how you get when you get worried or even overthink- he knew you had a bad habit of thinking the worse, it pained him to see you like this.

“Hey, I’m alright, no need to cry. I’m here.” He mumbled, pulling you back to cup your cheeks and swipe your tears away.

His eyes had stayed on yours, trying to make the tears stop flowing down your cheeks, not wanting to see you cry any longer because it just made him feel bad, made him feel at fault. He hated to be the reason you were upset.

“What happened? Where were you?” You barely managed to speak, your trembling voice was failing you.

“My gear malfunctioned on me, stupid thing.” He rolled his eyes, cracking a smile at you and brushed the strands from your face behind your ears.

“But I’m alive, that’s what’s most important here. You’re alive, I’m alive, we’re alive.” He tried to assure you, making your tears stop and you simply nodded.

“I was worried. I’ve been searching for over an hour. Same with Jean- wait, he still is.” You completely forgot about Jean, making your eyes go wide and Marco held onto your shoulders, stopping you from leaving.

He just wanted to take in this moment to make sure you were okay. He didnt want you upset, he didn’t want you leaving here still feeling somewhat sad over the situation.

Plus he knew Jean better than anyone, he could wait a little longer- it would worry him but not kill him. You were his priority at this very moment.

“He can wait a extra few minutes.” He teased, leaning down to plant a kiss on your forehead then turned his head to fully press his lips on yours.

All the worries and anxiety had left your mind once his soft lips was molded into yours, your heart pounding inside your chest while throwing your arms around his neck, holding him as close as you possibly can. The fear of him being ripped away still lingered over your mind.

It was the constant anxiety, the what ifs, the close calls. The way you felt like he was gone and dead for well over an hour- it wouldn’t leave your mind even if he was sitting here in front of you with his lips on yours. It felt like a silly dream, maybe you were hallucinating.

Marco had pulled back to take a good look at you, the smile never leaving his face as you stood there with a small frown, almost pouting like a child and he had instantly melted, you were adorable.

“Okay, maybe we should go before Jean loses his mind.” He chuckled, brushing his fingers along your cheek again and reached down to grab your hand, leading you down the rooftop.

You looked down at his gear, remembering it had malfunctioned and you stopped in your tracks, pulling out some tools that you carried in your boots.

“Let me fix your gear first, incase.” You pulled a few of the small tools out, reaching down to grab the gear to figure out the problem.

“You could’ve just given me a piggy back ride.” He teased, his eyes looking down at you as you tried to fix it to your best abilities.

“Yeah whatever.” You rolled your eyes, standing up straight and putting the tools away.

“I hope that somewhat fixed it, just so you can make it back to the wall.” Marco wasn’t even listening to the words that slipped from your mouth as you explained what you had done and it might work for a short period of time.

He watched you, in awe, full of love and it had made his cheeks flush a light shade of pink. He just sat there and felt completely lucky, the fact you were out here looking for him knowing how dangerous it was.

Even though he was somewhat upset that you would put your life on the line, he couldn’t help but also appreciate the dedication, the way you were so in love that you rather be out here looking for him.

“Are you listening, Marco?” You asked, making him pop out of his thoughts and he met your gaze, a nervous laugh leaving your lips.

“Sorry, was zoned out, too busy thinking about you.” He admitted, looking down at the gear and hitting the metal material as he walked to the edge of the building.

“I bet.” You jumped down, shooting the gear to fly you over the buildings and back to safety behind the next wall.

When the both of you landed on top, Jean was sitting there waiting, worried that you were probably dead too from looking for Marco but when his eyes landed on both of you, he was quick to run over and embrace you both in a hug.

“I was so worried, you idiots!” He let out a breath of relief, his head between both of yours and Marco laughed.

“I’m not dying that easily, Jean.”

“I don’t know, it’s pretty questionable.”
