[VD: Video of a black Congolese woman speaking on the ongoing crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, holding a warm drink in hand. She says, "Not only was I born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I am also a refugee. The Congolese people are no stranger to war. In fact, many people can't even pinpoint if the war ever ended or when it truly started. What we do know is what it's about and what is has done to our beautiful Congo. Congo is one of the world's largest producers of cobalt which is used for batteries in all of your electric cars. We are also one of the world's largest producers of colton which is used for your phone. Right now in the d.R.C, women, children, men, people are being forced into slavery in order to continue to produce these resources, so the world can keep spinning while our people continue to suffer. These rebel groups are being funded by America, France, Britain, Israel. In 2016, I was doing pageants. I was straight out of college advocating for this, fighting for this, and all of those years ago, it consumed me. All I could do was try to fight for my country, was do all I can in my power to fight for my country, and it feels like it was useless. It feels like nothing has changed, and those were years ago. Fast forward to 2023, and women are still being raped, kids are still being killed in ways we can't even say, we cannot even express without losing our minds, because it is inhumane what is happening to people in Congo. It feels like no matter what we do, it just never ends. No matter how often we participate in fundraisers, we join support groups to end conflict, we raise awareness, it does not feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Gonna be very honest with you guys, I think I just kind of gave up. I feel like I had to give up, like I have to live my life without feeling like I'm in this constant just slump of what is this world, and sometimes it takes a lot for us to come on here and try to raise awareness when something is this close to home, when something hits this close to home. Here is a few things you can do. You can support diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Of course you can always donate as well, and if you are comfortable, and if you can emotionally handle it, you can learn more and raise awareness. It's almost like the people of Congo never stood a chance, we've never stood a chance." End VD]

May I tell you about the matriarchal polyamorous lesbian ape that is now considered to be the boat intelligent nonhuman primate and also our closest known relative (tied with chimpanzees)
Tumblr media
Everyone meet the bonobo
They live in female lead societies where lesbian sex is more common than heterosexual. This is because they use sex as a tool to deescalate situations, apologize, and also simply for recreation. They are also the only animal besides ourselves that have been observed tongue kissing and giving oral sex (in all variations of pairings)
Tumblr media
Because they have natural deescalation tendencies, they are considered to be far less aggressive than their counterparts, the chimpanzee.
Bonobos have also been known to share food when there is no clear benefit for the sharer, come to the aid of humans when they sound distressed, and even comfort crying humans until they seem visibly better
Tumblr media
They are also the only other species on earth to use midwives!
Tumblr media
Anyway, I think they’re neat and I’m upset I didn’t know more about them until recently

This is a really interesting analogy video on Gaza by Egyptian media figure Joe Hussen. It’s about 8 minutes long but I really recommend it.
I’ve mentioned before that the west only sees what’s going on in Palestine through a small window, because of bias, manipulation, and the simple fact that much of the news isn’t translated into English.
I hope this video gives you something to think about.

THE STUDENTS OF BANGLADESH ARE DYING.
The so called students league called BCL or Bangladesh Chatro league, who are basically the rabid dogs of the rolling government of Bangladesh are attacking, assaulting and killing the students protesting against the Quota system that gives off government jobs for the children and grandchildren of freedom fighters of the liberation war. Our own prime minister called us rajakar (traitor who betrayed Bangladesh to Pakistan in 1971) and said anyone who isn't the child of declared freedom fighter is a child of a rajakar. So the students created a slogan "who am I? Who are you? Rajakar, rajakar!" Ignoring the irony of the slogan, the pm set her rabid dogs on the students, my people are dying because she (pm) refuses to let go of nepotism. We can't use our freedom of speech. Please help us.
Our Internet is being cut off, our accounts are being hacked, our electricity is said to be gone soon. SPREAD THE WORD.

Not surprised that Paul Kagame would do this given the genocide he is committing in Eastern Congo on behalf of Western governments

In this world, you’re either from a “first world” country and deserve all the sympathy and love that there is or you’re from a “third world” country where time and time again, the world will pretend you don’t exist.

People are waiting for things to be history while it’s happening so they can say “oh why couldn’t we do anything to stop it?”
You can do something to stop it.
Murder is happening right now. People are being killed right now. Starved out. Infected with disease from manufactured conditions. Their homes and community being torn apart because of sickening and disgusting wishes from the people in power above us assuring it happens.
Stand up. Do something.
Don’t wait and say we should’ve done something to help when we could’ve. You’re complacent if you aren’t helping now.
