Hello, loyal members of Team Objective! Last time, we crossed the waves and reformatted the team going forward! This time, we head east of Mauville to finally see what's up ahead.

alright proper thoughts on the mythical island expansion!

fun new exeggutor, i like using dual types like this. 4 energy is pretty expensive but ofc grass is balanced around serperior's ability, which is really fun

MI (mythical island) rapidash is a banger but i don't think i'll run two of it in my blaine deck because i like GA (genetic apex) dash's single energy attack when i go first. MI-ponyta is a straight upgrade though imo, it can donk and i love the artwork. blaine deck is crazy strong now, rip celebi ex...

very curious about salandit's venoshock. doesn't seem super useful to me. if you're very lucky i suppose you could end up punishing a flute or something but i think it's mostly for flavor. i do hope it's somehow useful though because the full art is gorgeous and i got one ^_^. MI-salazzle is pretty neat though, a little fragile but interesting nevertheless

sigilyph is making me wanna play a psychic deck. cool that beheeyem is here too! underrated pokemon. the florges line is awesome too, it's a beedril equivalent imo and i love beedril. so uh. think i'll def build something around these guys while i wait for more darkness type

speaking of deckbuilding i was really hoping they'd raise the maximum deck (and binder etc) cap by at least 5 so we can experiment with the new cards (and make specific counters for solo) without messing with our current decks. boo.

and speaking of darkness type: underwhelming liepard tbh. i'm hyped to try scolipede! the koffing seems kinda mid but could work as a singleton, but i think smokescreen weezing is interesting...

steel type truly done dirty omg especially with the addition of fairy types oof. i need to believe the next full set will be darkness + steel centric...

dragon types bring out the worst in me. i'm visualizing druddigon with the bench sniping duo volcarona-greninja, but i think that's nonsensical. it needs a stalling deck probably to make use of its ability. maybe moltres and misty/MI-vaporeon too

excited to see the poke flute strats. other than pidgeot ex and raichu i can see it paired with bench snipers and/or victreebel to kill the same basic twice or more, though it's kinda risky in case the opponent has an evo in hand. maybe most useful for the third point after you've killed the evo or sth. seems great for the s2 ex pokes but that's rather niche

for the record i've found blue amazing against the flute solo decks. koga and budding expeditioner are probably good counters too, to scoop up an extra guy. not sure how it interacts with fossils

overall some lovely artwork in this set! i love the new binder covers, they're really pleasant. painterly card art is always a win for me ^_^ it'd be nice to have a playmat in this style, i don't like the 3d they're using

Okay so this is a part 2 to @echoflare841's question because I quickly realized that this is gonna be one helluva mega post if I slapped it all into one post. You might wanna sit down for this one, and uh, if you wish to maintain your innocence and not develop a whole new infuriation towards Scholastic for being so damn slow with translations, then uh, this is your chance to leave and keep Pandora's box unopened, I'll see you when my brainrot allows me to actually do something ^^. Here's a little guy to take with you on your travels.

Scholastic currently has five of the Thea Stilton series translated to English for us to consume, and that's 36 books in the main series, 19 books (on paper) in the Mouseford series, 9 special editions, the Treasure Seekers trilogy, and four Classic Tales. (The graphic novels were released by Papercutz, a company independent of Scholastic.) Now, if we're gonna tally up EdiPiemme's arsenal of Thea Stilton books (and I do mean arsenal), one thing you're gonna have to remember is that Thea Stilton itself is a franchise, not a series. Yes, the Thea Sisters are the spotlight in most of these, but there are some series that fall under the Thea Stilton franchise that are rather different and simply are an extension of the Geronimo Stilton Literary Universe.

Anyway so with that, this is what EdiPiemme has in Thea Stilton books, as of 2023:

The detective agency tho I'm very certain on, it's the cutest thing they've done so far)

5 Secret Diaries, just some extra content in the form of a diary all five girls share. Stuff about their lives you don't get to see in adventures that much, and it's cute :D

5 Secrets of the Thea Sisters -- i-it's just five kids' activity books but Thea Sister-themed and also some lore

3 books in Sirene, which is a fantasy thing where the Thea Sisters find a magic link in Whale Island that leads to a mermaid kingdom :D if you felt clickbaited by the special editions because they don't actually have the girls become fairies or something, then Sirene actually has them turn into mermaids for their time in the Cobalt Kingdom :D

23 books in Incanto-- it's a KoF spinoff that follows a group of KoF princesses and princes trying to save it from uh big baddies :D

3 books in Three Girls in the Court of King Arthur, once again another spinoff that circles around three lady knights in King Arthur's court hoping to save the world from Morgana and her mysterious Silent Knight

3 Adventures Through Time, yes the girls get to travel back in time, but it's more magic than science and there's an emphasis on some historical girlbosses

6 Stars Academy books

2 books in The Roses and the Spades, which is a sequel to TGitCoKA

1 SuperSisters book, which is basically a superhero book for the Thea Sisters so they can kick ass and stop having villains roll nat20s in intimidation--

2 Cases in Progress, an ongoing series where the girls are investigating some funky cases detected by an algorithm Paulina's invented that searches the internet space for funky anomalies and weird shnit to investigate

1 book in Spectralia, where three hooman girls get Jumanji-ed into a board game and they gotta Jumanji their way outa there, I only learned about this just now while doing research and it's an interesting premise :3c

And I think that's it? There's one choose-your-adventure type thing where you get to investigate with the girls on a case relating to a crown, but that's about it I think. I dunno, EdiPiemme and the Thea Sisters' blog's catalogues have been a mess since they updated the visuals on both, so I unfortunately can't say for sure if I got all of them or if I missed one because my original sources missed them, but eh. Anyway uh, hope you have fun with this new knowledge :'D

🧢 • Would love littles that do any sports probably. He seems like he'd be the type of dad to take his toddler into a gym. Either for them to do small excercises or so he can lift them or make pushups while they're on his back.

🏐 • Lining up to that, he seems very hyper and engaging. Would probably love group activities with several littles. Do those monkey playgrounds (Idk what they're called specifically, just setting up a playground from a few props) or take the kiddos to an actual massive playground.

🔥 • Probably a moreof daylight guy who has a few rules but isn't strict about them, only about bedtime and snacking. He probably snacks a lot but it's a lot of working out products, things filled with protein specifically, etc.

🧢 • Speaking of that, he seems like he would make the best meals for his little. Wouldn't support the low-nutrient meals like nuggies much, so he'd absolutely attempt to convince you to add this nutricious sauce to them, or make you actual chicken (cut into small baby bites) etc.

🏐 • Despite being a hyper and fit dad, he'd love going to the McDonalds. Only to get a salad or a burger and to let you play in their playground, and to occasionally treat you with a meal of your liking.

🔥 • To him anger is best processed through boxing and just generally fighting. If you want to throw a tantrum or you feel a bit angsty, he will take you somewhere where you can go crazy (if it helps!!!). Let's throw some rocks into the water, break a few fallen sticks, or let's go and beat up some pillows.

🧢 • He would probably take his sad little on a motorcycle ride or something. Go somewhere nice to distract the kiddo, or just on a calm place where they can calm down.

Coffee has two things he just loooooves to do. Firstly, he likes playing with other pokémon some kind of ball games where he's taking the role of a floating, pretty slow ball. Recently, he's found a way to play with Caramel where Caramel is playing something like badminton against himself, but Coffee is the ball and gives him an extra challenge by suddenly changing his trajectory .

Second, he loves creeping up on guests at the café and sniff on their coffee. Or he sniffs mine, doesn't really matter.

Scene opens with a Recap of the events in an old grainy film effect

Narrator: Following being summoned after the events of the Fifteenth KOF Tournament, the legendary wolf, Terry Bogard, was called to rescue a group of heroic fighters known as the Street Fighters, lead by Guile, to free them from Shadaloo, lead by M. Bison and his subordinates, following the battle, Terry was victorious and defeated Bison, with Shadaloo defeated, things have been peaceful in Metro City

Scene opens to the present, at the Warehouse, where Luke, Jamie, and Terry were playing Video Games

Terry: Ha ha! I’m gonna win this time Jamie!

Jamie: Pfft, you wish Terry

Luke: Get him Terry, get him!

Soon, Terry beats Jamie at a Video Game

Game Announcer: Winner!

Terry: Ok!

Jamie: Doh! I lost

Ed: AKI and I were observing the Legendary Wolf and they mention about a Tournament in Metro City

Scene cuts back to Metro City, as Terry, Luke, and Jamie were planning a tournament

The fighters look and were surprise to see Ken, all clean shaven and wearing his Red Gi

"...who said that?" Nemona says, looking around in confusion.

The Never-Rotting Peach on Peachy's stall convulses violently, before opening its shell as it floats up, revealing it, in a big display of cursed energy and purple smoke, to be none other than Pecharunt.

"Surprise! It's me! I'm sure YOU remember me, you obnoxious piece 'a work." the mysterious Pokemon says telepathically, pointing at Florian with its chains. "Koffing-K - TS!UNDERSWAP" can be heard playing from Teko's Rotom Phone.

"...do I...know you?" Florian says, confused, cocking his head to the side.

"W-wha...You know! I set up 'dat little scam with 'da Pecha Berry! My boys tricked you an' 'dat STUPID OGRE into powerin' me up, see?!" it continues.

"...Well, I guess that explains the whole Luigi's Mansion sweepstakes thing." Florian muses. "...But sorry, man, this ain't ringing any Bronzong up there." he says, shrugging.

"I...I tried to get my boys to steal ya stuff! With 'dat scrawny one! A-and 'da rest of youse!" Pecharunt says, flustered.

"Nah, dude, that was Okidogi. You're weird and this conversation is weird. I'm outta here." Florian says, turning to leave.

"Wha...You schmucks don't remember me at ALL?! I...Rrrgh...Well, HERE's somethin' to jog ya MEMORY, see!!" Pecharunt says indignantly.

Pecharunt opens its shell, summoning a bunch of dripping purple mochi, and telekinetically flings them into Cera and Nemona's mouths.

"Urgh...What IS this?! ...Actually, it's kinda good." Cera says through a full mouth.

"It kind of tastes like...U-URK! N-not...feeling so good..." Nemona groans.

Both of them double over and start clutching their heads in pain while being cloaked by cursed energy. Everyone except Cauler, Juliana and Florian start running around, panicking.

"Wh...What did you do to my friends, you freak?!" Florian yells, getting ready to fight.

"Eh? Oh, I ain't do nuthin to 'em. I just made 'em MY friends! ...Look! Here 'dey are now, see! Pechahaha...But I'm just warnin' youse...'dey might be a little DIFFERENT 'den what you schmucks are used to!!" Pecharunt cackles cruelly.

"M…mo...MOCHI?! MOCHI MOCHI MATCHII!!!!" Nemona roars, performing a strange dance.

"MOCHOHOHOHO!!" Cera laughs with her, also doing the dance. Both of their eyes are glowing purple, and they're continuously spewing a purple froth from their mouths as if they've gone rabid. Pecharunt hides behind them, using their bodies as shields.

"...Hold on, I got this!" Cauler says after some thought.

She dashes forwards, swiftly lifts Nemona up by the front of her shirt and punches her in the stomach, then does the same to Cera as well, even though she tries to shamble away. Both of them fall to their knees upon being dropped and vomit up a disproportionately large amount of purple ooze as their eyes go back to normal.

"Uuuuurgh...My gut feels like it got run over by a steamroller...What HAPPENED??" Cera groans as she comes to, wiping off her mouth.

"I punched you! In the STOMACH!!" Cauler says.

"Wha...Eh, well, it ain't 'da first time 'dis thing's been...imperfect." Pecharunt concedes, moving its chains in a shrugging motion. "But YOU...You's gonna be a BIG help in takin' down 'DIS overblown meanie, beefcake!" it says telepathically, pointing at Florian.

"...wait, is this whole thing just some kinda revenge scheme...?" Teko says, confused.

"C'mere, you!!" Pecharunt latches onto Cauler's head like a Facehugger, causing her to thrash around wildly trying to get it off.

"...Hey, you didn't look like either of those two did...Wait, so you WEREN'T possessed?!" Arven asks Kieran.

"Wh...People really thought I was possessed when I made a bunch of questionable life choices?" Kieran says, incredulous.

"Bruh, on top of being purple like this...thing, your hair looked like a bloody onion. Forget the complete 180 in personality, nobody sane would wear ANY hair style like that." Penny says.

"...Dude, he's right here." Florian says, exasperated.

"What? It DOES look like an onion, doesn't it??" Teko says defensively.

Eventually, Pecharunt manages to fling a piece of binding mochi down Cauler's throat, causing her to double over after choking on it, trying to spit it out.

"M...mo...chi..." Cauler mutters.

"NOOO!!" Cera yells from behind the camera.

"Chahaha...What'cha gonna do NOW without Beefcakes here protectin' ya, see?" Pecharunt giggles.

"Mo...chi...mo...chaw? N-no...mo....chAWW HAW HAW HAWW!!" Cauler cackles.

"...Huh? Wait, what 'da-" Pecharunt says.

"Gaw...chi...Heh...heh...You really...think that...THIS...is enough to stop me...?" Cauler says slowly, staggering around while dribbling the same purple foam from her mouth.

"Wha...She's IMMUNE to it? How?!" Teko says from behind the camera.

"Maybe she's just overriding IT with her own will!" Arven says.

"I dunno, but you better KEEP being immune to it, or we're all DEAD!" Cera yells.

Cauler, her hands shaking, then repeatedly punches herself in the stomach, overpowering Pecharunt and puking up the binding mochi like the other two.

"...Then...you're gonna...have to try...a little harder than that." she pants, standing up triumphantly. Her face is marked purple from where Pecharunt's shell touched it.

Everyone stands in awed silence for a brief moment.

"...Hey, you got a little something on your fa-" Arven whispers.

"...Oh, COME ON!! NO! NO NO NO!! 'Dis ain't how it's supposed to work at ALL!! You...You're CHEATIN', see?!" Pecharunt whines telepathically, flailing its chains around like a petulant child. "'Dat ain't supposed to happen!"

"Ha! Ahaha! Gaw haw haw haw!! You can't do anything with ME around, punk! Did you really think your stupid little mind control would be able to dim the light of JUSTICE?! Get outta here and leave these people alone!" Cauler laughs heartily.

"Well, obviously, I just need to up 'da DOSAGE!" Pecharunt yells telepathically, firing a massive amount of mochi into Cauler's mouth. She intentionally spits them back out onto Pecharunt's face in an act of defiance.

"How many times do I have to SAY IT?! YOU! CAN'T! BEAT! ME!! I've had ENOUGH of you messing with my friends, you BULLY!! Time for you to face JUSTICE!! GuuurrrrRRAAAAGH!!" Cauler roars. She charges at Pecharunt, but phases through it and falls flat on her face.

"RRRGH...Boo! Boo, I say! 'Dis is NOT 'da end, see? I WILL rip 'dat pasty interloper into shreds for Mama...one way or another!" Pecharunt growls. It sticks its chain in its mouth, making an eerie whistling noise, and Fezandipiti swoops out of nowhere and hoists it off.

Everyone pauses to process what just happened. Florian looks at his hands.

"...I'm not really THAT pasty, am I?" he says quietly.

"That was...weird. So that's the "curse" you were talking about?" Teko asks Kieran from behind the camera..

"Yeah, but...I think it's gone now? All's well that ends well, I guess?" Kieran says, unsure.

"Man, I can't believe that thing has beef with me...So if the Lousy Three ARE its flunkies, I guess THAT explains why we got robbed by them!" Florian says to Cera as the video cuts out.]

I Feel Like the PS5 Was Disappointing and Would Like Some Advice on What to Do

So I just got myself a PS5 for Christmas, and I was disappointed to see that there wasn't a feature where for PS4 games that have PS5 versions, you can't transfer save data and trophies for their PS5 versions. It's like this, I have the PS4 versions of Far Cry 6 and KOF 15, and when they originally came out I wasn't sure if I was ready to have a PS5 until now. So when I got the PS5, their PS5 versions were available free for me, but I was disappointed to see that save data and trophies were separate for each version of the game, and it got me thinking, "Ugh, I don't want to start a new game and get everything all over again."

That aside, I'm still confused about how the PS5 can play PS4 games. My sister's husband told me that you need the PS4 in rest mode to play PS4 games on a PS5. I don't know if I heard him wrong, but that doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, my sister and her husband aren't exactly the gamer types like me, so they were no help. And since I have PS4 games that include PS5 versions, it doesn't make sense to me that I would wanna play their PS4 versions on a PS5.

At this point, I've gotten used to the accessibility for the PS5's online store, but I'm not even sure I want to get new games on it. The only reason I wanted a PS5 was so that I could play Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which is a PS5 only game. Now that I've cleared it, I'm not even sure if the next PlayStation game I should get should be on a PS4 or PS5. Like, I have a few PlayStation Plus games in my library and I'm tempted to get more, but I'm not sure if I should get them on my PS4 or PS5.

And just recently today, I found out that their gonna make Tekken 8. A game like that would be another reason for me to play the PS5. But with Tekken and Ratchet aside, what about all my other games? Should I get more PlayStation Plus games for my PS4 or PS5? Should I get the PS5 versions of Far Cry 6 and KOF 15 and start new games on them? Should I play all my PS4 games on my PS5? I don't know what to do and would like some advice, otherwise, I feel like the PS5 was just a little disappointing to me.

UPDATE: So I just finished playing Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which is a PS5 port of both Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy. As it turns out, these games do have an option to import your save data and trophies from their original PS4 versions. I'm glad for that, but I kinda wish it was the same for other PS4 games I've played that have PS5 versions.
