Day 12 of Push Up Challenge, Wall Push-ups Becoming more adept with video editing app. Doing this challenge made more mindful of form. Exercising mind is as important working out the body. I nominate: @Ramsin I find challenges as an opportunity to learn—about the challenge, about others, about self. We take in what works. Discard what doesn’t. Then we find your own creativity. We learn what motivates. In this we find our selves. WALL PUSHUPS “If you are more advanced, use these techniques: Pause: As you return to start from the extended arm position, stop and pause halfway. Hold for a few seconds and continue to move slightly forward. Stop and pause again for a few seconds. Stop and pause one more time before returning to start. Use a slow pace: This is another advanced variation. Try doing the wall push-up at a very slow pace. Count very slowly up to four as you push off the wall and count slowly to four as you return to start. This increases the tension in the chest and arms. Breathing properly during a chest exercise accelerates positive results. Be sure to exhale during the point of exertion. Simply put — exhale or blow the air out during the “pushing” part of the exercise. Don’t lock your elbows during chest exercises. Freestyle Friday returns! Cautiously, I might add... . It's been a few weeks since my last planche progression session as I've been dealing with a minor shoulder injury which still hasn't completely gone away, but I was missing my Freestyle Friday workouts so much that I couldn't keep away any longer. . In yesterday's yoga class, I picked up a new pose which you can see in the first clip. . My crow variations are establishing themselves nicely and I was able to hold it for 70 seconds before my forearms gave in. . To spice up the bent arm planche a little, I played with hopping onto my hands and working my way into the hold. . Despite having gone relatively easy on my shoulders in recent weeks, I was pleasantly surprised to crank out a decent number of handstand push-ups. . All in all, a very satisfying workout. Only it didn't feel like a workout. Day 60: SINGLE ARM WALL PUSHUPS. Today’s workout is a great way to build shoulder strength for regular pushups. Simply stand 12-18 inches from a strong wall. Spread your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Take your right hand and place it straight in front of you on the wall (near mid-chest). Do a push-up. Try to do 10 reps then switch arms.
