You can hear it, right? Tell me you can hear it. The rhythm has become louder. i can hear it beating through the walls of this reality. some of you hear it. you follow the song. you follow the rhythm.
the rhythm of the end.
she calls to us from the Void. heaven, hell, and the in-between. it is meaningless when she comes for us. when she calls for us. when the end comes the song stops. when the song stops all will be Silence.
praise the Void. praise the Void. praise the Void. we are One in the sacred Nothingness.
In the absence of creation there is only peace.

if sasuke was the main character then he probably would've been a LOT more sympathised with than he is now (which is to say rarely). like the narrative wouldn't even need to change to show his pains or 'his side of the story', bc it does that plenty. it's just that he is not the main character. and idk what it is about our human minds but we tend to sympathise with main characters automatically (unless ofc you go off the rockers insane and do something like obliterate almost everyone from the planet *cough* eren yeager *cough*)
an instance that comes to my mind where this does happen is with lelouch from code geass. while i don't agree with his character motivations, people generally do sympathise with him as he is the mc and as viewers we know he isn't inherently evil. sasuke's goal towards the end is slightly similar but ofc people love to hate him so they don't even try to understand where he is coming from.
my point is, most people while engaging with the naruto story don't read between the lines and so don't see how traumatised and in pain sasuke is and hence don't understand his character motivations. heck, they don't understand a single bit about him and so they automatically hate him, as he is supposedly going against the main character's goals.
which is really sad given all that he has been through.

I had a dream where everyone's nails began mysteriously disappearing, and Ghost was especially upset about this and enlisted Hornet and Quirrel and Hollow to help search for everyone's missing weapons and eventually Hollow was the only one who's nail wasn't taken (because of Hollow's extreme paranoia about losing it and never letting it go.)
They ended up finding out what happened because a strange little bug attempted and failed to steal Hollow's nail and they forced him to explain and he takes them to this secret place where a giant bug, like an actual giant (like the temple sized bug) lives and is building a home for itself and it's little friend has been bringing it nails that it's been using to build it's home. You know like actual nails, with a hammer.
I woke up before they confronted the giant unfortunately
But it was funny.

This afternoon was so rough that I forgot to post about this morning! The church I’ve been attending had a decorating party to celebrate the approach of Advent… and, well, to get more hands to make the work load easier. And holy crap, I’m so glad I went.
The head pastor shows up with the worship leader as me and two other dudes are carrying boxes of decorations down from the balcony storage rooms, and she formally introduced me to everyone — “This is Darby. You’ve probably seen him around, he’s been coming for a couple months!” A fucking pastor gendered me correctly (keep in mind she’s aware I’m trans), and if anyone questioned my identity, they didn’t do so to my face; I was “man” and “bro” and “sir” and “he/him/his” the whole morning long.
I helped assemble the tree because I was the only one willing to climb up the ladder with the top pieces, and I accidentally ended up leading the tree decorating as well. I meant to just put a few ornaments here and there until someone with more creative vision took over, but then people started grabbing stuff and asking me where to hang or stuff or drape or place it, so I just kinda. Went with it.

The pastor taught me about some Methodist Advent/Christmas traditions along the way, I met a lot of new people, and it was just overall a really really good morning. This afternoon was rough, but I had a terrific morning and a fun movie night with my girlfriend, so I’m calling today a success.

The parasocial relationships ppl on this website have with celebrities are astonishing. Just saw a post of an 18yo bragging about still hero worshipping N*il Ga*man.
You're not supposed to worship humans. "Never meet your heroes" and all that. But it's more about the fact that you’re inherently dehumanizing them when you do that. It's the other end of treating someone like a monster. They're not perfect and there's nothing wrong with that. But when you personally feel betrayed by the actions of an artist you never met to the point that it seriously impact your mental health, that's a sign that this isn’t healthy. When you make a crime about yourself and your feelings first and victims second, you’re being self-centered in a way that's concerning.
The way so many ppl are genuinely surprised, even confused by the notion that NG is capable of rape is scary. Cause that's definitely something that's going to lower your capacity for believing the victims.
Go listen to Idle Worship by Paramore cause I'm not explaining this as well as I'd want to.

Thinking this morning of devotional acts as a form of offering.
I've seen a lot about offerings as physical items, even if it is just water or some fruit, I am not very good at doing these things and especially not regularly, I am very forgetful and frankly don't have much space. I was starting to feel a bit guilty about it, especially after some recent developments in my life, but I realized this morning that devotional acts cost me my time.
In participating in a devotional act I am offering my time to which ever deity I am doing that devotional act for.
I recently did some paintings for both Loki and Apollo that I consider to be "theirs", paintings I made for them. I also recently made a bracelet for Loki using colors I associate with him with embroidery floss and chose that method in part because it's the one I'm most familiar with but also because it's made with knots.
This morning I was reading on Lady Athena and thought of my bracelets in relation to her association with weaving and needle craft. It made me think about how I might dedicate that time of creating the bracelet might be dedicated to her with out necessarily need to "give" her the end product given that I am making these with the intent to sell them.
My time is still a valuable offering even if there is no physical evidence of that time once I'm done with whatever it was I was doing.
Similarly, I think using particular fragrances/lotions on my body can be another form of offering. I use them for specific deity I want to keep in mind throughout the day. I may not be putting it on their altars, but once that product is used I can't get it back. It went on my body, it's purpose was to remind me of them.
I need to work on reframing how I think of offerings. When I was in church there was so much emphasis on monetary offerings or time offerings that were directly related to church activities and I think that really narrowed my veiw of what "counts" as an offering.
The things I enjoy can also be offerings. They don't always have to be completely sacrificial. (Course that's one of those things that gets messy in my brain about Christianity, but anyway.) They can be things I already do or want to do.

My altar dedicated to Lady Aphrodite!
It's not much but I did the best I could for now. I hope to get a statue for Her soon.
I had a dream that I offered Her an apple and a orange, so yesterday I did just that! I think she liked it, so I'm keeping it there for a little bit. I really appreciate how patient Aphrodite has been with me 💗

So I am actually going to start deity working. At first I just wanted to work with Aphrodite but I was scared she might refuse so I also wanted to work with Athena. I did a few tarot spreads today, turned out they are both interested in working with me....and both of them won't be really pleased if I choose the other to start. Chatgpt told me to start with Aphrodite which is also who I want to start with the most. Anybody has tips ??????

and gortash being the lightbringer...
the sun always being imagery in rue's life despite how much she sticks to the shadows...
