In cartoons, skulls are made to look like they have facial muscles, but honestly, I love how they stay unchanged. At first, it might seem like they have no expression, but the more you get to know them, the more you can feel their emotions. It’s in the way they move, their voice, or even where they’re looking. It’s all about understanding them because you’re close.

if i had a nickel for every time a fair-skinned, former slave, elf rogue, who fed on people, held a knife to my throat on first meeting, wanted revenge on their master, had a distinctive scar inflicted by said master (who also used to be able to mind control them but lost that ability over the character in their game), and who is also depicted facing away from the viewer and looking over their shoulder while wielding a blade in various promotional art in a Larian game, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
