It’s also the version of Lex who changed out of combat gear in favour of snazzy business attire to face down Darkseid himself because, and I quote, “I needed to get my power suit.”

To quote someone else in the notes, every other DC adaptation wishes it had what the DCAU had.

I do hope MAWS encourages people who previously thought they didn’t like Superman to check out the OG DCAU shows, particularly Superman TAS and Justice League Unlimited. Not because “You need to see the REAL Superman!!11!1!” But rather because they’re actually genuinely well-done shows and even if they’re taking a more traditionalist approach to Superman and have a more serious tone, it’s clear they have a deep love for the character and a really fun sense of humor.
