Did anything about jikooks (or vminkook if that interests you) dynamic surprise you in are you sure? I think the extent of JK's brattiness and their play-fighting did surprise me a little. I think it's because I haven't been following them beyond the music that much in solo era. Also if I compare vminkooks dynamic from say that joint live in 2021 or the live incl Hobi (in 2022 I think?), I think it's a little bit different from what we're seeing in the show. If I think about it, it does check out in many ways with regards to what they've told us but I don't think it's something we've seen this plainly before

Nothing about Jikook’ or Vminkook’s dynamic surprised me much, infact I would say the boys haven’t changed at all. Jungkook has always been bratty. Literally all the members have complained about him being bratty and stubborn and as for the play-fighting (I am assuming you are talking about Jikook) that has literally always been their thing. Someone described Jikook’s dynamic as a mix of all the other duo dynamics in BTS and now I really cannot unsee it. They playfight like jinkook, bicker like yoonmin, are soft with each other like Namkook, are besties like taekook and are caring towards each other like Jihope. There is literally a mix of everything in their dynamic and that is one of the reasons why Jikook are so difficult to explain as a duo. I personally don’t have any trouble understanding the other duo dynamics of BTS but Jikook still challenges me sometimes.

It was definitely kinda new to see them bicker so much, I mean we had seen them bicker before but the other members were usually in the mix so just seeing them bicker about parking was kinda new but not really surprising to me.

As for taekook, I didn’t see anything about their dynamic that surprised me at all. They are the duo who know how to have maximum fun when they are together as they have so many things in common when it comes to personal interests so it is extremely easy for them to be in sync but they also have moments where they could come off a bit nonchalant towards each other (but this is very normal) and I have seen so many people say they have a passive aggressive energy about them but I don’t see it personally. I just think that Jungkook sometimes has his moments you know, when he doesn’t really feel like being enthusiastic about anyone (Jimin included) and Tae isn’t like Jimin who will still try to initiate interactions when Jk gets in that mood but instead Tae just kinda ignores as well or throws in some snarky comments and maybe that is why people see some passive aggressiveness but generally I think they have gotten much closer than they were a few years ago and even their emotional bond seems to have deepened a little more than before.

For Vminkook’s dynamic, I think it is pretty much the same to be honest. Like I said before, Jungkook has his bratty and soft moments with both of them and Vmin are still the two hyungs who dote on him but call him out in their own way when he starts going too far. Jungkook has a very different dynamic with both of them and it is seen more when he is with the two of them (or atleast I noticed it more). I had always known but just seeing it in play out in AYS was….interesting. I think with Tae, Jk really enjoys just doing the fun boy stuff. They both look their happiest around each other when they are bringing out the childishness out of each other and I can see why they easily connected when they were rookies. One person starts something and the other very easily goes along with it, no question asked. They are also a good example of dumb and dumber or the blind leading the blind because it seems like between the two of them, no one is the voice of reason and we all crave people who we can just be extremely silly with without overthinking anything and I guess that is what taekook are to each other and that is why Tae can call Jk and ask him to join him in Hawaii and Jk takes a 9 hour flight there, you know just for the fun of it. Unlike what taekookers would like to believe, it isn’t because Jk is in love with tae or none of that. If I had a bestie whom I usually have alot of fun with when we are together and we both like the same things and I had Jungkook money and time, I will do the exact same thing. But, just as I had said before, it just feels like the foundation of their friendship is mostly centered around the fun and shared interests, not much else. They ofcourse really care for each other and are supportive of each other as well. I thought it was extremely sweet how Jungkook immediately climbed that wall to encourage Tae when Tae was scared to jump. Those are some of the moments that show just how they get each other and how much they care about each other. Taekook as bestfriends works so well but I don’t see them working out as romantic partners and I also understand why they don’t seem to be each other’s go to person for comfort. This is because they are way too alike. They both are naturally takers so they need givers for things to balance out. That is why at some point, they both sought out comfort from Jimin who is a a natural giver and not from each other.

Jimin and Jungkook are kinda different here because even though those two also have alot of fun with each other, Jimin is actually very different from Jungkook. He isn’t as spontaneous and he thinks about everything way too much. He also likes to have a schedule or plan things out before he executes them but Jungkook takes everyday as it comes and doesn’t seem to think about things too much so because of this, Jimin is like the voice of reason but sometimes Jungkook doesn’t want a voice of reason, he just wants adventure. A good example of this is that episode from I land where Jungkook stole TXT’s food from the pantry. He was in there with Tae and while he was stealing the food, Tae just went along with it and didn’t say anything but instead just found the whole thing funny but immediately Jk went outside with the food and Jimin saw him, Jimin (as well as the other members) asked him to return the food and they even scolded him (Jimin included lol). This is how Tae and Jk are partners in crime because they both readily go along with each other’s mischief but Jimin is that voice of reason that Jk needs because Jk is very impressionable (he said it himself) so if he doesn’t have some Jimins in his life, he could easily go astray. Even though Jikook are so different, they still are so alike and they click and just get each other so well and I don’t even know how to explain it. It seems to me like they are the definition of opposites attract, ying and yang. Jimin has the light that Jk needs and Jk has the darkness Jimin craves, they balance each other out, they give each other what the other lacks, they complement each other completely. Their bond in my opinion is definitely deeper as the foundation of it much more than the fun they have when they are together. There is an underlying intimacy in their play that isn’t there in taekook’s too. While taekook just play around like 5 year olds without a care in the world, splashing around in pools or shooting at each other with water guns, there is a subtle intimacy and softness in the way Jikook play around and they are definitely more handsy with each other too. This is pretty much everything I already knew about them and it is exactly the same thing I saw so I don’t really think anything was surprising or maybe just how much Jikook can bicker, if I had to pick something lol.

So anon, I have written a ton even though you probably just wanted a shorter answer but I couldn’t help myself lol. I have a problem not expatiating as much as I can. I hope this answers your question though and if u don’t mind, I would love to hear what you thought was different about Vminkook’s dynamic from 2021/2022 and now. Oh how you said everything on my mind like those are the exact reasons i dislike these three. But one thing I'll never like taehyung again. I was never a fan of his personality to begin with but i liked him as jm's frnd but the way he acted whole face era and didn't even acknowledged jm or his album was for me. The way he was active and would post even if his wooga member existed but nowhere to be found for his supposed soulmate. I remember how he took a flight few hrs early than the rest of the members from US to sk when the boys went for concert or white house idr all of that because he was supposed to be present at his new frnd's movie premiere but man couldn't move a finger for jm. Mind you he was on rest. I'll never fogot that cause why should i even like someone who doens't even return half of jm's love and support.

I said that in the first ask that this one is related to but the majority of the appeal for th for me in retrospect was that he was around jimin. Jimin just has the ability to bring out good qualities in people. Like I remember in In the soop*? I wanna say. They had some really cute scenes together. One in particular jimin was sick and th came to check in on him in his room. I think jimin poked him and he laughed. Cute ash. Around that time I was a genuine vmin believer (friendship sense) because their bond was so tangible. But you just don’t get that anymore.

You can see their relationship has gotten strained and it’s not from jimin’s side. Th has already said that he knows their dynamic is more skewed towards jimin in terms of giving so maybe that’s on me for expecting even bare minimum reciprocation. But it’s been established he makes effort with other people and that’s why it leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth. Even with JK, he went to his music recording stage, talked about him and seven in interviews so he CAN do it. It’s just beyond odd that for jimin, he seemingly can’t be assed.

The way Jk and Jm's friendship manifested itself during solo era perfectly fit the situation. Them spending less time together than we're used to goes simultaneously with how their lives changed from being in the same band into being solo artists. Not to say that they are circumstantial friends, not at all even, but just that the differences in their schedules and priorities just made it harder for them to be together as much. What we saw is a perfect example of best friends being busy living their separate lives. We've actually seen the same with Vmin (who call each other soulmates even). Tae and Jm also only started to hang out more after their respective solo schedules ended.

This is different with Tae and Jk though, whom we know made time for each other even while they had different schedules.

I don't think they'll disappear soon, because their ship will probably get more snippets of Jk and Jm together than ours. But then again, it also wouldn't really surprise me if at one point during the doc something was said that throws a bomb into it 😂.

Idk why shitmys are saying only JK and Tae will be available. As if JM is 84 years elder than them. And some are worried how votes will be split and how member's albums will be competing with each other ? Are people pretending to be concerned? Or are just dumb about reality?

1. JM only need to go to MS the time Tae also will go. Jm is taking up new big challenges so he ain't stopping soon. he can certainly attend if he decide to go next year or during year end.

2. Indigo and D Day streams sucks at over all streams while FACE outdid both albums and still has high global streams and LC is still charting on k charts. The only one solo album that has a chance to win something in solo category is Jimin.

I was reading your asks and this made me pause. I am strictly a Tae solo but I like other members too. Earlier my go to content was bh cameras. Not smart ik, so I also assumed taekook was not very close because in that talk Jungkook looked awkward when he was giving that interview. It looked weird but I was like oh well. I was new to the fandom mind you. Took me a while but I started watching fan cams, old videos and it was hard to digest why such good friends before 2016/2017 I think became so awkward with each other. I did a little digging and I found bh camera shows and bombs don't even show them together and if they do it's brief or awkward. In fact earlier bv showed Tae to be a villian tbh. It boils my blood when I see bh treating Tae. This solo era literally confused me so much because I came to realise taekook were so much together and involved in each other activities and I thought they were just loosing their awkwardness. My theory was jihopekook were besties. I really don't understand why bh don't like to show taekook together on their cameras? And why taekook like different in bh cameras (aloof, awkward) than public cameras (very close and comfortable). What was the need to show both of them in that talk and with their shady subs? I think that they just showed that talk to grasp an opportunity, because everyone noticed the lack of footage and bh used that occasion to say “look it’s because they weren’t close before” when it’s really not true, like before ITS, in an award ceremony Tae leaned on Jk because he was tired (I think everyone knows what clip I’m talking about). I used this as an example, but I could say million other things that happened in 2020 to show that the “awkward duo” is a narrative pushed by bh and cult freaks.

I know I'm fooling myself, but a part me hopes it's cause he wanted to spend time with Jimin and knew he could pester Jk til is happened. The reason I'm saying this is cause during this time is when we saw Vmin being more active together and a few days after that jeju trip, Jimin was at Tae's show with Tae singing him happy birthday, singing his soulmate song with him doing their pinky sign and just a bundle of joy out there with Jimin, even introduced him as his best friend still. this would be absolutely crazy. it did seem like tae had a pretty definitive plan so i am curious about enlistment talks.

this centering around vmin for the purpose of the trip does feel like a sound argument for me, since allegedly t@ekook saw each other often. even if jungkook seemed ultimately indifferent to tae over the course of the year. from what we learned from the show, i think jimin was mia from everyone during face era (except maybe hobi). vmin divorce was a thing last year for a reason and i can see tae pushing to see jimin after hearing about this trip closer to home. but this leaves a jungkook who clearly missed jimin too and even seemed a little salty about it. and hes now shooting this show with jimin, actively rebuilding their friendship and tae probably felt left out on top of it all.

Hey there, it’s me again. I loved your take on this situation. Just like you, I’m also disappointed and sad because I was sure about Vmin bond. I always told myself that “there’s no way Tae never once liked Jimin”. But it turns out I was wrong. Tbh, I kind of believe they’re dating because the coincidences were becoming too many to ignore. The matching necklaces that they’ve been spotted wearing lately, taking pictures in the same places, wearing the same clothes that also appeared in their leaked photos. Although some pictures were fake, I believe some were not. In the photo of them at Jeju, Tae had a cut on his leg and he had the same cut in real life. Now, here’s my take on it he video that surfaced in Paris. Personally, the video didn’t make sense at all and here’s why. 1. The whole thing looked staged. From them just walking swinging their hands like kids didn’t look romantic at all. They didn’t act in love enough. 2. The moment where they approached the car, noticed how Tae quickly let go of her hand and entered car without even glancing back at her. You would think that since they’re so in love and didn’t care who saw them, they would hug each other or Tae would wait for his girl to head to her car first and then proceed to his. 3. I believe that was really Tae that signed autographs for the fans but did you notice something too, when a fan was filming Tae while singing the autograph, there was a hand that appeared to stop him from recording. I asked my self, if the managers didn’t want him to be filmed, then why allow them to film the couple (well one would argue that Taennie wanted to be filmed that’s why) but still, that didn’t make sense. I believe they might be dating, but the companies might have used it to their own advantage. I think the situation in Paris might be media play. This whole situation brought me to think about Vmin’s behavior lately. Jimin has been ignoring Tae and you could see that something is wrong between them. That’s why people’s have been claiming that Vmin are in their divorce error. I think this situation might have something to do with it.

Hello again annony 💜 you know I don't think everything Vmin gave us in terms of love behaviour was fake, all their sweet and loving interactions, all the things they have said, surely it was true from them both, jimin but especially Taehyung who is very honest with his own feelings. I still am stuck to that let's BTS episode and what was written on that letter which was blurred out. All the things Taehyung said and did supporting the LGBT community and his loving words to Jimin more than once. Okay many people I've talked to told me that soulmates can be platonic friends, well okay but that wasn't the case. Or I don't understand human behaviour at all and I'm stupid.

As for all the list you made I agree with every point, they don't seem like a real couple in love, they acted weird, I don't even know why people are not so sure of them being in love. I even read things like maybe Tae will propose before enlisting, they will go at Cannes as a couple blah blah and I wonder if this is the normal behaviour we must have and not as toxic as many shoppers who are boycotting Tae and leaving the fandom. It is imposing our own ideas of heterosexuality on them because we have proofs. Good for whoever thinks that.

Personally I've never believed about Vmin divorce era but it was weird indeed that they didn't have any kind of interactions for months, since the message Tae left just before Face was released, I have to admit that even though I was already very sad to watch it, I try to see if there was any kind of interactions between them in the video about Hobi enlisting just because I missed them together and in the end O think they spoke just few words before RM or Jin arrived I don't remember and that's all. Oh god. Where do I start?

There are a lot of eras of fanon you can see in different fics, and there are different flavors of fanon depending on what ships someone likes. While I like actual BTS a lot, particularly for their rap, I treat the fic more like original BL. I like a lot of different versions, and I prefer the more multi-shippy authors who aren't so wedded to the few really big ships.

RM is probably my favorite overall just as an artist (and pretentious philosopher), but I love them all as stock fic characters.

I like namkook because I like "Sempai, notice me!" ships. I'm also a sucker for anything where a mentor type is having a meltdown internally about how bad they are for their crush on The Baby... meanwhile The Baby is a filthy little demon who is not only actively pursuing the mentor but is like "Can you hold me down and call me rude names?"

There's some interesting fic set earlier in their careers (or riffing off of that in another setting) about Jin being hired only for his face and whichever other member being hired only for their talent and their mutual jealousy/distrust/etc.

There are obviously a zillion possible ships, especially considering how often people go for ships with more than two. I more often do tag searches for vmin, sope, namkook, rapline OT3. Sometimes, I look for jihope or for vmin+another member. I'm partial to OT7, particularly of the JK/everyone variety, but there aren't a lot of fics that aren't just mindbreak porn or something. People often send me good recs for namgi, namjin, taejin, yoonjin, and jikook with top Jimin.

I don't actually care about the sex positions part, but I find that a lot of bottom Jimin fic is egregiously woobietastic in particular ways I hate. Taekook has a ton of fic, most of it extremely annoying to me, but I still check it out reasonably frequently because I'll be searching for magic school AUs or whatever, and it will come up. Minjoon and yoonmin also have a lot of fanon I find stupid and annoying, but I'll still read fic if it comes up in some trope search, especially if it's one of those fics with them divided 2/2/3 and all of the ships mattering in the fic. My biggest hate is reserved for anything that turns either Namjoon or Hobi into a thinks-he's-straight fuckboy who needs to learn a Very Special Lesson™ about modern US queer identity as seen through the lens of tumblr. Times one billion if either Yoongi or Jimin is the femme woobie in that fic. Did people listen to that fucking Tony Montana song? Did they? JESUS CHRIST. (Okay, "Expensive Girl" and "Trouble" are also hilarribad in similar annoying teen boy ways, but have people forgotten Jin was on the latter too?)

Basically, one of my rage buttons in any fandom is people equating someone being genetically taller or having a less idol-looking face with their approach to sexuality, identity, and gender. We all fucking wish our bodies looked like our insides. Half of tumblr would be androgynous, sylphlike ectomorphs if we could. But guess what? We get to be short, fat, and have giant boobs that are hard to hide. Not all of us. But a lot of us. I think I've got a pretty hot body, but it's not necessarily the body I'd have chosen, you know?

I’m kinda embarrassed for saying this, but I used to be a jikooker in 2019 who thought they might be together, not realy a supporter or the type who writes or reads “theories” all they, but I really thought there might be something. Vmin in 2020?!??!? THAT WAS VMIN ENEMIES ERA. I really would like to know what did you see in them? I could never understand vminies.. there's just nothing like that to me. Maybe I came close to understanding when I watched this

but through the years I've never felt a deeper connection or chemistry between them, at least not enough to classify it as romantic/sexual chemistry. It's also really hard to not compare the attention Jimin always gave/gives to Jungkook and realize how little Jimin gives to Taehyung in comparison to what he gives to Jungkook. And also because never in my mind there was any doubt about Taehyung being straight 😭 so it's always been hard from the get go to take any Taehyung ship so seriously.

As a principle, I think it's okay for someone to change their mind about things. Maybe not so often as you did, sorry hehe but yeah. Today's world doesn't let people change their opinions, they are quickly called hypocrites or fake or INSECURE for saying "I don't think this is what I thought it was", but I think change can be really good. In this case, it sounds like it might have led you to recognize a perhaps realer Taehyung than what you had previously seen.

Yeah, when it comes to Jennie, I think that Taehyung wanting to be "public" or wanting at least for it to be known that they're together, it fits his personality, it fits what we know of his values of family and romantic partner. If it's not Jennie, it would simply be any other woman, you could insert any other name instead of hers and it wouldn't change who Taehyung is.

Omgggggggg my mom is 61 years old and she's been an ARMY since 2018. She's not on social media and she only watches original BTS content (Concerts/Live performances + behinds, Memories, Bon Voyage, Bangtan Bombs/Episodes when I think to direct her to them lol.)

We watched Bon Voyage in Malta together as it aired and she clocked Jikook almost immediately 🤣. She was like "ooooh cute, they're a couple! Glad they found each other, I imagine dating would be a nightmare for them!" After having watched memories 2018- 2020, Rosebowl, and Speak Yourself: The Final in Seoul (even they turn and sing to each other at the end of The Truth Untold) she actually thought they were out to and accepted by ARMY.

She was utterly shocked to learn that their relationship status is somehow controversial within the (online) fandom.

Honestly, so was I! I only began to really engage with ARMY on social media after GCF in Saipan and BV3, because it seemed obvious to me that Jikook were in a relationship and I wanted to find out how long they'd been together. The level of denial and vitriol was really surprising, especially since we were literally in the Love Yourself era.

And Jikook has only gotten louder since 2018!

All that being said, I really don't think the Twitter fandom is a representative sample of ARMYs or their feelings about Jikook. I think social media ARMYs are the most visible/readily accessible, but I'm positive there are millions of ARMYs like my mom and I who don't have or use social media accounts, but have functioning eyes that can clearly see what's happening right in front of us.

For goodness sakes, behind the scenes for Rosebowl Day 2 (memories 2019) was literally all Jikook, basically presented like a love story!

Hahahah I'm so happy that you and your mom share close bond and can cry because of busan boys together. And I agree. International fandom/ Twitter side is brainwashed because of the manipulation and the content they first see while starting to stan BTS. Taekook is only this popular on the international side because people here have no clue about Korean skinship culture.

When I first joined bts fandom as a baby army, I was really lucky. Me and my mom are really close so we discovered the boys at the same time. We started watching interviews, og content, funny YouTube compilations etc. Since Jimin has caught my eye even before I became a fan, my whole attention was focused on him at the start. Biasing Jimin means that you can't run from Jungkook. I remember when we were watching tiktok videos and my mom (also jimin biased) said to me once "Look, this is his best friend, they are inseparable" and she was talking about Jungkook. So I payed more attention to him.

He quickly became my second bias, I adored his voice, vocal techniques, his personality and looks. It was really easy to love him. I started to notice things after a while and at first, I thought I was crazy. I've began to see the stolen glances, shy smiles, softness in their voices while talking to each other, driving the same car, always finding a way to be next to each other, small touches, hesitation before the touch which seemed weird because why would they hesitate?

They aren't like this with the other members, I thought. So I decided to watch bts duos/units YouTube videos. Starting from vmin and ending it with Jikook. I wanted to watch theirs at the end to see if I can reflect on it after seeing other members relationship dynamic. AND OH BOY, that was the moment when I knew something is up with them. I was extremely lucky to avoid that baby army taekooker hole. My mom was also the one to pick up on things herself as I've already said in the previous ask 😂 She noticed it all right away. Then we watched gcf in tokyo. Y'all know what happens after watching it..

I am jikooker since the start and when I joined Twitter later, I was so shocked. When I first heard about taekooker's theories I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So I've watched couple videos of taekook. 2 normal ones with cute moments and 2 analyze videos. And when I tell you that finishing those 2 analyze videos was on my list of the worst experiences in my life, I'm serious. The disrespect, sexualizing and lies thrown me off so much. Big hit hides taekook theory had me in tears from laughter. It sounded like a 10yo bored kid wrote a fic on their way to primary school. Then, I became aware of how much hate Jimin and Jungkook was receiving. Individually and together. Why was that, I was asking myself.

But I know now that international fandom hates on them because they can feel something different is about them. They explain they actions and words as fanservice because it's easier to say they hate each other or aren't fond of each other and play close to either make big hit earn money or hide the real couple, instead of initiating they might have feelings for each other. Because admitting that jikook might not be platonic, means that they can be gay. And it scares them.

I know the hate won't stop soon. That's why I'm here and I will keep on protecting them and loving their bond no matter the circumstances. 💖

A T/K subunit is long over due, but I'm selfish and want a Vmin SU & vlive & selca, but I'm stingy. lol That's not what bothers me. What bugs me is T/K constantly doing I love you signs lately and V clearly doing an indirect kiss to JK during Vmin's dance break during the butter practice video. Ji/K have had close moments these past few months, but JM has not once done ILY to JK. Seems odd to say he likes JM the most, but then do ILY to JK in front of JM, knowing how T/K shippers will take it.

The only answer i can give you here is simple. It's showbiz!

When they make this kind of gestures during a performance which they know will be aired and seen by millions of people, they do it to engage us. No one is left hanging. The shippers get what they want. The solos as well. Do we actually think they aren't aware of shipping? They definitely are. There are millions of Bts armies all around the world and amongst them are a handful of people who are observing. They will definitely notice something 'odd' in a music video. These people will spread what they saw on social media and before you know it, a particular ship is trending adding to Bts popularity. Did you notice how smoking hot they all looked during the butter mv? It's to impress, to leave people going crazy over them. The Bts team and editors know exactly what they are doing. These little things might seem like nothing but they go a long way in adding to Bts appeal.

These flirty behaviors doesn't apply only to Vmin, Taekook or Jikook. It applies also to other ships like Taejin, Vhope, jinkook, who perform a lot of skinship during performances especially on stage. They are mostly done by physically expressive members who have no problem with physical touch. However, the smaller ships are often overlooked because they aren't as big as the main ones.

Again, i can also say that most of these flirty gestures comes from Taehyung. He's a showman and during performances, he's always the one to initiate a particular moment. He would flirt with his members for literally no reason at all and it drives people crazy. With Jimin, it's no exception. He would flirt with him as long as it makes people happy and it leaves an impression. In the eye of the camera, no one is an exception to him. He would flirt with Jimin in front of Jungkook and vise versa. Jimin would do the same not just with him but with other members and that's how the circle repeats again and again so assuming that Taekook is flirting in front of Jimin because they are dating is so flawed because in the next couple of weeks or even days, the tune will change, it will be Jikook all over again, then Vmin and we all know that's the truth no matter how much we try to deny it.

With a new era, comes new things. We will notice a lot of changes recently because they are promoting their new song butter. Some people will seem closer than others because the dynamics will change but it's not something to fret over. Just because Taehyung likes Jimin the most doesn't mean that he doesn't like Jungkook and the others as well. So if he wants to give Jungkook a million I luv u's, he's free to do so. They aren't the people they once were and that's understandable being in their position.

This means Teahyung is more honest than Jimin himself so if he said that he likes Jimin the most, then that's the truth. We should take Jimin for his word and believe that truly, that's how he feels.

What made you like Jimin individually and Taehyung individually ? And do you have a slight preference between the two ?

I love all the members so much, and for me picking a bias is still kind of difficult. I have concluded that I do bias both Jimin and Tae but kind of switch between them at different times for different reasons. As for a bias wrecker I legit cannot choose and it changes all the time.

The way I got into BTS was through the BST MV and then trying to learn the members (the first one I learned and checked up on was Namjoon). I also got fascinated by the BU storyline as storytelling and analysis/reviews is a big hobby of mine (the fandoms I’ve been in are many, and character/story analyses/reviews/theories are something I have engaged in a lot). 

On top of that I work in the media industry and have an interest for visual storytelling as well and I got hooked by the concepts, the beautiful MV and the both story-based and symbolical clues they left. I also loved their music and like groups in general because of the interesting vocal dynamics you can create.  Basically, BTS managed to hit all my buttons and I had to look up more.

Mind you, I barely knew the members' names properly and I was already investigating the meaning of their MV and storyline. I listened to their album and loved the songs before I could tell which member was who. (Both Awake and First love made me cry without even knowing the lyrics).  I also have to mention how much I love both of Vmin’s voices, who are both very unique and interesting. I basically biased their voices before I knew who they were. (Fun or sad fact but I am really bad with faces and actually learned the members' singing voices before their faces.)

Let’s just say that I got into the music and visuals/concept first, and then started to consume material to get to know the members. They all also had incredible chemistry between each other and reminded me a lot of one of my favorite j-pop groups with their dynamics. 

What I started to watch was “get to know them” videos and recent interviews and clips, meaning from BST era. It was hard for me to not notice Jimin (even though vocal line were the ones I had the hardest time separating from each other in the very beginning). And perhaps even more so since the introduction videos tended to have a lot better and varied things to say about Jimin amongst vocal line. But even on his own Jimin simply stood out to me during the BST era when I joined. He took a lot of space in the group as a performer (especially with his high notes, his dancing, his hair and his outfits all combined) but also as an individual in off stage material. I fell for his voice and performance and the “Jimin effect” was hitting me hard. 

I also related to him a lot. I am a sort of clingy but shy person who is a perfectionist and likes being in control. I also thought he was both cute and funny without being too over the top with things like aegyo (I mean, we all know he is horrible at it when he tries to do it on purpose). I think the way Jimin is so open (though private) makes him easy to understand and relate to. He has a lot of different moods and there is an honesty in how much he shows us even though he clearly still remained in control.

As time went by, I found myself focusing on Jimin more than the other members and I realized my bias. I was simply drawn to him more than the others from the start. That in turn brings me to Taehyung... Because honestly, at the time it was impossible not to notice their closeness. And looking up a lot of old material, where Jimin was there was also Taehyung. They were very clingy and had a lot of cute interactions. One of the first things I watched of their more off-stage material was also Bon Voyage in Scandinavia (being from there myself I was extra curious) and the Vmin moments in there just cemented their bond for me.

I am not saying I only appreciate Tae for ship reasons, simply that Vmin got my attention early on and that did make me focus more on Taehyung as well. I thought as many that he was a bit odd, but very funny and playful, that he was incredibly good-looking (my opinion from the start was that JK and Tae were the most good-looking) but also a bit difficult to read. Taehyung made me want to understand him, and I was interested in him for quite different reasons than how I related to Jimin. I love him for his way of thinking and how he seems to have this innocence or happiness in the small things about him. Like, Tae getting lost in Sweden but still being happy about the small adventure, enjoying himself and stopping to blow on a dandelion might just be one of the most endearing things I have ever seen. (Honestly, another point I relate to Jimin on so much is his love for Tae and how he just makes us smile no matter what he does.)

Of course, as they change and as I get to watch them more, the more I find to love and appreciate (as well as flaws of course) and now I would say all the members are just very precious to me and I love them both for who they are on their own and for their bond as a group. It is impressive and not to be understated how rare it is to find a bond like theirs. I have seen many groups, and few are as compatible as BTS, and few seem to truly love each other the way they do.

But as for bias it will likely always be Jimin and Taehyung unless there is some drastic change.

For Jimin I love the way he dances while controlling every fiber of his body, the way he pours love into all his relationships but isn’t afraid to call people out, the way he keeps getting funnier (I think Jimin’s sense of humor is so underrated), the way he acts like an angel but actually has the whole world fooled (and he knows it), the way he shows his emotions so animatedly no matter if he gets annoyed or laughs with his whole body, the way he knows his principles and stands his ground when he believes in something, the way he works so hard to improve and better himself both as a performer and as a human, the way he thinks about things deeply and is so eloquent with how to express it, the way he is there for both ARMY, his members and even strangers because he is empathic to his core. There is a lot to love with Jimin, and he always makes sure to return that love when deserved.

For Taehyung I love the way he stand against the norms, the way he shows it’s ok to be different and embrace himself and others without judgement, the way he almost plays with us when he performs, the way he sings with such emotion and how he loves to express himself through all kinds of art forms, the way he learns and take in valid criticism but isn’t afraid to call bullshit, the way he knows when to be serious but also the importance of having fun, the way he is both the biggest dork and a fierce performer at once (I mean he can be so unapologetically silly and then suddenly switch to lethal seduction), the way his unique way of thinking opens up to new points of view, the way he can’t help but show his excitement or love for something and wants to share it with the people around him. He goes all out when he loves something and doesn’t hide his opinions when he doesn’t. Taehyung is just a very honest (though perfectly capable of lying and fooling us thank you very much) and incredible person that I both admire and adore.

There is just so much, and even small things get to me, like don’t get me started on their smiles, or even just their habits when they laugh... (how Tae usually laughs quietly but once in a while will let out these light giggles, or the way Jimin seem to automatically covers his face when he laughs).

I love them both to death (as all the members). It is not easy to just sit down and pour years of love into words, but I tried. I love them both as singers, performers, artists, and humans. I also love them as soulmates and how much they both just spread love and positivity to the people around them. The impact they have had on me, and surely many of you, is hard to comprehend. I am so lucky and happy that I decided to become a fan of this wonderful group and these wonderful people.

I’m so so glad you’re being honest and transparent about AYS and jikook’s dynamics change. I felt really weird after I finished watching the show and when i came to X and tumblr most jikookers were focusing on the skinship moments but no body is talking about how off everything felt between them. I think you summed it up pretty nicely so I won’t repeat what was said but watching how jk acted when jm was sick made my heart sink. I felt so so bad for jm i was praying that there’s someone from staff at least taking care of him. There was zero worry or compassion from jk which shocked me a lot. I think this is where I realized that they’re definitely not together and I’m ok with that. Kinda relieved tbh, i feel like i finally have a clear answer. Now regarding tae being in the next episode, i saw the clip and JK was being his usual passive aggressive self lol, that’s just how he is with tae and now with jimin too apparently. I have to admit, now that I’m seeing jkk in a whole different light I’m not worried about how different jk is gonna treat vmin, none of them is in a relationship so I don’t care if he’s nicer to v. I just hope jimin had a great time and enjoyed himself (tae and jk too) i hope they all had a good time. I only wish jimin wouldn’t receive hate after the episode no matter how it turns out.

hey anon, im responding but with intention that im hoping you’ll see the response :). i don’t really want other anons in my inbox criticizing your words. from someone who thought like you, i hope we can enjoy the show and engage with it critically instead of just writing it off as a "be careful what you wish for."

while i think this point could get us backed into a corner a little bit, i've had a few anons, including this one write about how they could be omitting the truth for the sake of the show, to fit a narrative. if we turn to speculation instead of looking at what they show us head on, it can be hard to fully believe. what we do know is they had to see each other to plan the show, they saw each other at yoongi's concert, at hobi's enlistment (and maybe drinking that night before who knows). i think face era was a hindrance to their friendship, but as the year went on things got better. i think about that tiny clip from jimin's production diary livestream and jimin was so excited to see jungkook, jungkook was all smiles like nothing changed.

i think, even the people we love most, we don't see often or even don't try to make an effort to see based in individual circumstances. and we don't know their circumstances outside of bts and solo schedules. with bts going on group hiatus, things were already going to change. relationships change naturally and i think giving jikook that grace is okay. i don't think their relationship has turned into one of vitriol or negativity. they still very much care about each other and i think if this was how the year started off, the distance from each other probably propelled them into deciding to enlist (distance makes the heart grow fonder and such). also i think you can see them start to fall into their ways as the trip carries on. i felt a dramatic shift in tone after their boat ride and once jungkook cooks for them, it feels like we are at the jikook we know. so i hope this show was able to help them reconnect.

this anon and a few other posts in the jikook tag were talking about this and i think i have changed my opinion on this. jungkook has known jimin for years, he probably knows when jimin needs in stressful situations and that might just be a little space and some jokes to get him laughing. jungkook didn't bother him when he rested, he let him be. i think jungkook did what a friend would do in this instance, and try to go about their day making the most of it while conscious of jimin's state. possibly the camera involved maybe could have escalated the level of jokes around jimin's misfortune. but from what was on camera, jimin started feeling better after the boat and they ended the trip on a good note.

i don't even want to speak on the tae stuff, because that will open a big can of worms. i appreciate you coming forward as well to talk about it as well. definitely rewatch the show too i think a second watch could change how you're viewing it.
