Wanted to sketch in my journal/sketchbook and added my Rooks

I spent the entire rest of my night making my other four Rooks, so here they are beside their love interests! Altogether we have:

Thalia Mercar (Mage - Evoker, 28)

Maia Aldwir (Rogue - Veil Ranger, 32)

Emilia de Riva (Rogue - Duelist, 29)

Lydia Ingellvar (Mage - Death Caller, 32,)

Violet Thorne (Warrior - Champion, 30)

Some fun facts about each of them:

Thalia has a huge tortie cat named Lady Meowmers. When she had to leave Minrathous to travel with Varric, Lady Meowmers went into the collective care of the Shadow Dragons. Thalia brings her back to the Lighthouse at the first opportunity. Also, Thalia's hair is dyed; she dyed it purple with magic. This was when she was eighteen and left home for the first time; the spell never wore off, and at this point she doesn't clearly remember her original hair color.

Maia's parents left her their Dalish clan shortly before she was born. She grew up in a city in the Free Marches until she was ten, when her parents' original clan settled in a forest just beyond the city's borders, and Maia — exploring the forest as she often did — met her grandmother. Maia agreed to stay with her grandparents and live as a Dalish; her parents never found out what happened to her.

Emilia was sold to the Crows at age three. Her family was impoverished to the point of starving, and in return for coin and the promise that Emilia would have food in her belly, her parents took the deal and sold her. Despite the sobering way she got there (and the traumas of Crow training, particularly before her transfer to House de Riva), she genuinely enjoys her work and considers herself a killer for hire and for fun.

Lydia has natural heterochromia (one blue eye, one purple one) and never left the Grand Necropolis at all before she had to leave on her journey with Varric. Both her eyes and skin are very sensitive to bright sunlight as a result. She sees Vorgoth as both a best friend and parental figure, and secretly wishes that she, too, could become an abomination, if only there was a spirit that wanted to possess her.

Violet looked up to the Grey Wardens since childhood, when a pair of Wardens saved her and her siblings from darkspawn. She sought them out to join them when she was 22, after suffering ten months in an arranged marriage to a fellow noble. (Her husband was not cruel, but being a Lady of the House was like torture to Violet, who felt it was a waste of her life.) Apple tarts are her favorite food, and her ritewine bottle reads: "A thorn by any other name will make you bleed the same."

Shein has been stealing ACOTAR fanart

It has come to my attention that Shein has been stealing art made by ACOTAR, Fourth Wing, Throne of Glass and possibly other fandoms and selling them as sticker bundles.

Some examples: Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, ACOTAR again, Fourth Wing

Those are not the only sticker bundles in each fandom. From what I've seen, they have also been selling bookmarks, pins and tote-bags as well. I suspect that their AI program is scrapping sites like redbubble or etsy.

Some of the artists I can recognize among others are: @/itsirene on ig, @/frostbite.studios on ig, @silketara, @cccrystalclear, @taratjah, @charliebowater and @luardraws

Please reblog this for exposure and if you are an artist, make sure you check if your art has been stolen as I've not been able to find everyone. Copyright infringement is a serious crime and something should be done about this.

I’m more on booktok a lot and with the release of onyx storm everyone is crying about fan casting due to the tv show coming up. I must say it is so interesting to watch my goodness… 🤣🤣🤣🤣 again I’m still on iron flame and the book series is still OK to me.

But my main issue is this whole fan casting. I won’t go into the race debate of Xaden, he’s already been casted but the girlies dont like it. He’s not tall enough.

My issue is how FANART and AI have distorted your image of what someone should look like has affected everyone.

BUT what even opens my eyes is casting a FMC is not as a hassle as a MMC… a nod to my previous post… these books written by women for women ABOUT WOMEN are really ABOUT THE MEN/MALES.

🟪 Paradise 🐢🐍 The shading and the environment light of this piece is so hard to depict. Still thinking this could be better but that's all I've got now I guess. At least just looking at it I'm satisfied. 😇 That's probably the paradise the professor was looking into and embracing at his last living moment. I hope I convey the feels- beautiful yet cruel. Could the time machine itself be a part of Terapagos? The Paldea region looks like Terapagos, so if the whole region is Terapagos itself, the time machine(Area Zero) just located right on its back crown where maybe its power pours out of, bringing Paradox Pokemons to life. It's a concept that I draw this illustration for.

Plz tell me it's not only me when seeing the time machine up there operating, I feel deeply stunned and emotionally respect from the bottom of my heart. Because I know that magnificent great machine is invented by the man/woman who had worked hard their whole life just to fulfill the dream. 😢

Reading almost any book I feel bad for the sisters of the main characters because they almost feel like they are there for plot reasons? I know all characters are there for the plot but they just drive the main couple to do better and don’t get much of a plot of their own.

Like Nesta has her mate care more about Feyre and is just… mean?

Taryn is manipulated by Locke for the entire book.

I forgot the name of Violet’s sister but I feel bad for her too when I remember her name.

I want spin off fanfic for all of them where they leave their situations and live a nice damn life.

Don't take this as me shitting on Future Paradox Pokemon because I do LIKE most of them and think they look cool, but I feel like there's just way more visual variety with Past Paradox Pokemon that make them more interesting for me. Raging Bolt being a brontosaurus (which means "thunder lizard" by the way!) and Roaring Moon bearing a heavy similarity to Mega Salamence in a similar manner to Aerodactyl/Mega Aerodactyl were both really clever ideas imo. (And Walking Wake, Koraidon, and Slither Wing are some of my favorite Gen9 Pokemon.)

I feel the only Future Paradox that looks the most visually distinct from the base is Iron Valiant, the Gallade/Gardevoir fusion was a cool idea. But a lot of them feel too close to "this Pokemon, but robot" for me. It still looks good on them, especially Iron Crown and Iron Thorns, like, again, this isn't really meant to be a total diss. I think most of them just felt too basic compared to the Past Paradoxes.
