My Hero alternate universe where Deku never gets One For All, never goes to UA, and we jump right to the time skip (eliminating the LoV and Final War altogether) where he's a defense attorney...for villains. Not on purpose, that's just where his career took him and with his natural talents of memorizing vast amounts of information and applying it to practical settings, he's good at it.
Much to everyone's chagrin, including his own.
...
Bakugou ends up having to capture repeat offenders and deal with this, "Dammit, you scrub, when'd they let you out?!"
"Your old pal Deku got my case dismissed on a technicality!"
...
Midoriya: This is your third offense, Mr. Todoroki. Leniency is becoming a very unlikely scenario in the event the prosecution wins.
Dabi: *creepy smile* But I have so much faith in you.
Midoriya: *sighing* Look, if you just behave yourself in court today and don't do anything that'll make the judge angry, I'll see if I can find a colleague who's crazy enough to risk their entire career to help your mother sue your Pro-Hero father for emotional distress, domestic assault, anything else you're sure that happened.
Dabi: *leans against the glass* You're crazy enough.
Midoriya: ...no. No I'm not.
...
Midoriya: Can you please stop escaping from the handcuffs, Mr. Sako. This is serious.
Compress: Buzzkill.
...
Uraraka: Doesn't it get exhausting having the most hated job right now? Heroes working hard to put these guys behind bars and then there's you putting them back on the street.
...
Shouto: Thank you very much for all your hard work with my brother.
Midoriya: ...you actually mean that, don't you.
Shouto: *completely straight-faced* Why wouldn't I mean it?
...
Midoriya: Okay, so I managed to get most of the charges dismissed, but they're still gonna get you for resisting arrest and driving without a license.
Spinner: Got it, I'll just work on getting my driver's license.
Midoriya: That's not the takeaway here.

katsuki, shouto and izuku with a reader who is like giselle from enchanted !!
bnha main three x gn!giselle!reader.
type: headcanons, fluff (& a splash of angst if you squint reaaaally hard)
warnings: kissing, a bit of cursing bc bakugou is here but otherwise so much fluffy fluff ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭ reader's quirk is not mentioned per se.
a/n: hi, sweet people !! i've been practicing my english skills to write and expand my vocabulary but i'm still not quite good, so i apologize if you see something misspelled :c i accept criticism !! ok, so, yesterday i saw enchanted and disenchanted and realized how much i wanna be like giselle haha and when i looked for fanfiction with a giselle-like reader i was left heartbroken since i didn't find any TT so i took it upon myself to write something, hope you like this <3
♡ ୭̥ ° bakugo katsuki
this boy is known for showing his hate for sweet things, yet no one – not even him – is able to comprehend why you're the exception.
since the first day of school he can tell you're going to be more annoying than all the other extras. randomly humming and singing, using smooth arm movements as if you came from a fairytale.
you look harmless, a stupid pushover. his only comfort is that you won't get in his way.
or that's what he thinks.
because with time, he starts seeing more of you. his gaze starts to linger whenever you're around, putting careful attention to your actions, your expressions. wide eyes and radiant smile, always trying to spread kindness and love, so genuine; you're like an open book.
katsuki's rough, katsuki's loud, katsuki's explosive.
so imagine his surprise when he realizes with time that the sight of you makes his eyes soften, his chest warm, his guard drop.
he wants to deny it, he wants to deny it very strongly. however, everyone can tell how, little by little, he starts to open up to you.
he lets you be closer, so vivid around him. you can do things that others would get yelled at for trying. when did anyone see somebody getting into bakugou's personal space – whether it is laying on his shoulder or playing with his hair – and leave unharmed? when did anyone see somebody using his stuff and not recieving any kind of ill treatment for doing so?
the two of you start spending time together, much to his dismay because of your classmates' teasing. yet it takes you being in danger during a villain attack for katsuki to realize how deep his feelings are.
oh, no– he's falling in love.
and he goes livid. he might seem like someone who already acts recklessly during combat but that's not the truth at all. the want, the need to take you into his arms and protect you is what leads him to take such impulsive decisions.
don't get him wrong, he knows you can defend yourself; you're just as much of a badass as you are of an optimist, after all.
but it's this side you bring out of him. this soft, tender side.
it drives him crazy.
so, once the horror passes and your class settles into its usual endeavors, he does what he knows best: he tries to push you. he tries to make you leave, to scare you off.
but why aren't you running away?
why are you cradling his face with a gentle, loving touch?
one thing leads to the other and your lips meet in a true love's kiss, as you would say.
after that, katsuki resigns to listening to your rambling about animals and love and flowers–
he's there to give you a reality check when it's needed, anyway.
"get out of that pretty little head of yours, dumbass, there's fucking homework to do"
yeah, he wouldn't have it any other way.
bonus: you're literally a grumpy x sunshine pairing !! it's hilarious to see you two in the common room because katsuki seems to hold back in showing physical affection or any state of flusteredness. you learned not to demand it from him, either, because he always gets red and would hate for anyone else other than you to see it. it's alright, though, because as soon as you're alone he turns into a clingy puppy. good luck trying to get rid of him to do something just as brief as going to the bathroom !!
♡ ୭̥ ° todoroki shouto
shouto's life has never been any sort of fairytale. all that love chitchat... yeah, pretty much false.
but then he meets you, and you're so eager to show him.
so you start sticking to him, following him around. it could look like pestering for some people, but to shouto?
oh, shouto's charmed by you.
it takes him some time. before the sports festival, he couldn't help but give you cold stares and dry replies. of course, your enthusiastic self would take all of that without complaining.
but it is after the event that he starts to open his eyes and contemplate a little more of you. especially after you compliment his quirk and express how happy you are for him, for truly giving his all during the fights and making use of his fire.
another element, you said, that was part of him and needed to be seen. you mentioned how you believed in him, warm smile painted on your lips as you beamed with joy.
there was no way he would get his eyes off of you after that.
although shouto is quiet, his gaze is intense. thankfully you're unaware of such things – trained to being accostumed to stares by your whole life experience – so you can't tell how the next days he's so entranced by you and the way you carry yourself so gracefully.
you see beauty everywhere, often even stopping in your tracks to observe your surroundings. you seem to shine, delighted.
too occupied by twirling around and interacting with everyone around you, you fail to notice how he's softly smiling at the sight.
as time passes, your conversations stop being one-sided. his replies show more interest, it's not only about his gaze anymore but also about the way he accepts all your affections; melting into your touch.
the way he's always there to protect you when villain attacks happen, when anyone looks at you the wrong way or tries to talk to you in as much as a slightly rude tone. the way he comforts you whenever you're sensitive about something, never questioning where did it come from.
you're his top priority.
so when you share a first kiss, he feels his heart pumping so hard it could jump right off his chest. this unknown feeling, leading him to be so attached to you, was love all this time.
you were right about showing him, he figures.
because now holding your hand gives him so much happiness that he now kind of gets why you're so enthusiastic about said concept.
when you go on one of your rambles about it and ask him, "right?" he smiles at you and responds:
"yes, my love, i think i know now"
you smile at him, so widely as you always do, and he leans in to leave a kiss on your forehead.
bonus: when he tells you his family story for the first time, you cry. you cry so much until you feel his strong arms wrap around you. yet shouto, despite trying to comfort you since you were the one crying, feels as if your embrace comforts him. you hug him by the waist, rubbing his back so gently and carefully that it brings tears to his eyes. everyday he feels more enamoured by you.
♡ ୭̥ ° midoriya izuku
you meet for the first time with izuku because of bumping into him during the quirk's test on the first day of class. he falls and you crouch along with him, soft-spokenly apologizing and asking if he's alright.
as he looks up at you, the boy can only think of how you look exactly like an angel.
you best believe our baby broccoli blushes furiously to his ears.
it doesn't take you anything to become friends and when you do he realizes that, despite both of you being pretty positive people, you have very different ways of thinking.
everything to you is magical, wonderful, exciting. izuku learned this from only the first few days of knowing you, and he found it really beautiful and encouraging. it was something to admire you for, and it never failed to impress him the way you would always be open to new opportunities, grateful for every single one you were given.
similarly, nothing to you was ever a problem! so when izuku rambled about his past, his difficulties with his quirk and worries you always found a way to make his point of view shift 180° and move on to positive thoughts.
in a world where he's exposed to so much pressure, you act as a beacon of life that peaks through the darkness.
and so, you're with him every step of the way.
he doesn't even know when his love for you starts blooming, especially since he has such a focus on heroics that doesn't usually let him think about anything else. but when he finds himself dreaming about your bright smile, mumbling as he watches you from afar sing to happy little animals you encountered, blushing to the tips of his ears by only hearing you say his name with so much care and glee–
he realizes too late he's down bad. in fact, he's the last one to realize, since the whole class watches in horror as you two interact so lovingly with each other as almost second nature.
mina has the theory that the two of you are secretly together, but it is obvious for everyone that if you two really were, you would be shouting it to the four winds. that's just who you are, and that's just how they know izuku loves you.
of course, you're the first one to make a move.
you go up to him before class one random morning and ask him if he would like to go out on friday afternoon. he accepts at first, smiling widely at you and you respond with a bubbly "alright then! it's a date!"
his face seemed to turn all shades of red and even go through some other colors before digesting that information.
"a-a d-date with me...?" he lifts a finger, you hum in amusement.
"of course, silly. i'd want no other prince for me but you."
needless to say, it goes amazingly and now the class has to deal with you giving him little pecks on his lips, cheeks and hands as he turns red because of the sudden affection.
bonus: in his notebook page about your quirk he has written a whole analysis of how you and your voice are appealing to animals and what does that have to do with it. he even tried talking about it to you, but your reply was: "i'm not quite sure, but i can only be grateful about them! they are my friends and i'm truly fortunate for their company!"

the fact is izuku managed to save tenkos soul his body was too far gone due to what afo done to him and the damage in his mind lets be real here if toga and tenko had lived they would have been put in prison for their tragic pasts don't change the people they killed and the fact their identities were well known
Look dude - come closer, come sit down next to me. Lets talk.
I'm not sure how to explain that this is a fantasy story. That means that it doesn't have to reflect our current world 1:1, which has flawed systems. Storied aren't biographies. You can tell the difference between reality and fantasy, yes? I hope so. If your mom let you borrow her phone so that you can get on Tumblr to talk to me, then maybe you can have her explain if you're still confused by the time I'm through with you.
If you're using this argument for why the villains who were humanized by the author had to die cruel deaths in a story that preached about giving people Second Chances, then I'm led to believe that you also believe that Bakugo surviving his exploded heart was realistic. And that's completely unrealistic, just in case you're not sure.
There were a lot of unrealistic aspects to this story, including the part about people having superhuman abilities like creating explosions from their palms and making things float. Those abilities aren't real either, just in case you are confused. You might have picked up this story and thought it was an autobiography or a history textbook, so I advise that you ask your mom to take you to the library and talk to a librarian about the differences between literary genres.
Now - hold on to your seat, this is why I had you sit down; this next part is going to be really perplexing to you if you believe quirks are real - stories are usually used with the purpose of conveying a message, of exploring our Humanity and to experience of some kind of catharsis or emotion using our imaginations. You know the story about The three little pigs? That are also unrealistic, but it serves a purpose - it teaches little kids about perseverance and working hard. The first two little pigs didn't want to put in the effort to make a solid house, so they paid for it in the end with their lives. Do we live in the world where wolves literally come knocking on our doors trying to eat us? No, but we do live in a world where it's important to persevere and work hard. Disney's The Little Mermaid also isn't real, because Mermaids Don't exist, but it dealt with very real human experiences that we all deal with such as feeling out of place in the world, our identity, etc.
So, you can see that authors use fantasy stories to explore very real human emotions, social issues, what have you. BNHA starts off like that too. The very first words are exactly, "people are not all born equal", and it goes on to tell the story of a teen who's basically considered disabled because he's different. He's bullied, discriminated against, and he deals with very real human experiences such as disregarding authority to go after a friend he really cares about because he felt it was the right heroic thing to do, experiencing death (Night eye, Midnight), dealing with abusive parents (Endeavor) and comforting abuse victims (Shouto, Eri.)
These characters are not real, but they go through very real human experiences. These are real world issues.
You're still following me, right? Characters and stories aren't real, but their issues usually reflect real life issues.
All right. Not that we've established that stories often and talk about real world problems that we experience in everyday life, let's talk about how authors can approach these topics. It's all about using different Tools in your writing to convey your message.
Let's go back to my example with the Three Little Pigs. The moral of the story, the message, the theme, is that hard work pays off. If you slack off, you're possibly putting yourself in danger. But what if the last little pig's house had fallen down anyway despite his hard work? What if the wolf had eaten him anyway? Then the moral of the story is no longer that hard work pays off. The moral of the story is that no matter how hard you work, sometimes things just don't work out the way you imagined or planned.
Okay - so, which one of these morals is more realistic? That your hard work always pays off, or that sometimes, no matter how hard you work, you fail? I'm not sure where you are in life, but it's the second one. It's true. Sometimes no matter how hard you work, life fucks you in the ass without prep. People go to college with the aspirations of becoming medical doctors and can't get into med school no matter how many straight As, perfect grades they get. They worked hard, yet they didn't achieve what they wanted. Many families have a two income household but still can't make ends meet because of unexpected expenses such as medical bills, car accidents, deaths etc. You could be the world's most safe driver and still die in a car accident because of someone else's negligent driving.
That's the harsh reality of life. Does that mean that the moral of the Three Little Pigs story is wrong? No. It's a story and it teaches a really important lesson about resilience and survival. In a perfect world in that story, hard work always pays off. That's comforting to adults and helps little kids understand the importance of persevering and working hard. Those are good qualities to have.
Sometimes a storys themes and messages don't align with the readers personal views of the world but that doesn't mean the writing is bad. You could even have a moral disagreement with the themes presented in a story but have the writing still be good writing. For example, I personally don't agree that hard work always pays off. But in reference to The Three Little Pig, when it's a story for little kids, I agree that the writing fits. If I were the author of The Three Little pigs, I would make the theme be, "it's always good to work hard, but if your dreams don't come true then that's okay." I would write a story about all the pains of working hard and meeting failure but then overcoming it and being happy anyway in the face of failure. The story's theme would be resilience, not about hard work always paying off.
But the Three Little Pigs isn't like I just decribed, so do I think it's bad writing? No, because the theme of the story matches the conclusion .
This is where My Hero Academia fails. The beginning of the story, all the messages about giving people Second Chances , fall flat. It presented a highly nuanced issue that's very real to the world we're living in about reforming criminals and getting to the core of understanding criminal behavior. The story presented itself like it would address this issue with societal change... and instead it gave us superficial change such as holding hands with victims who appear to be blameless and morally pure like Eri and that new mysterious crying boy who is literally nameless.
The issue with that is that it's really naive. A lot of times, people who break the law, people in need - mentally ill people, the sick, the poor aren't perfect victims. I work in a hospital and a lot of the people who seek treatment REFUSE to heed the doctor's medical opinion. Does that mean that they deserve to die? No. Does that mean I should give up on them? No, I'm going to educate.
Following the logic of BNHA though, you would give up on these people. The suicidal person who's about to jump off the bridge? Well, if they don't take your hand willingly, then why should you keep trying to save them? The crying boy at the end is only saved because he took the grandma's hand. What if he had pushed her away? If he had, the story's logic says that he deserves whatever is coming to him. And of course this is a more nuanced topic than I'm portraying it to be - victims and people in need also have a role in helping themselves, but this story makes it seem like they get only one chance and they're doomed if they don't take it. Which is literally a message that the story presents through Endeavor and Gentle and La Brava: people deserve second chances. But only specific people, according to the story. It teaches you that not all people are born equal. Which is literally what the story set out to disprove.
Do you see how the math isn't mathing?

in-universe shipping community would definitely pick todobaku over bakudeku.
like
sure we see bkdk interact more, but what was broadcasted for public? tdbk. sports festival (both the first and the third parts have theirs interactions) (yeah, perfect enemies-to-lovers trop), little competition at i-island, their extra classes, them capturing a villain after getting licences and their interview after (although katsuki is cut out from the entire thing, viewers must know he's there and shouto responds that they are friends). there's also their concert, tdbk don't interact, but at this point shipping seed has already been sown, so it already is content for edits. next is their internships with endeavour and, as they're given the same task, i assume that shots of them together are not so hard to get. after the war tdbk become the popular boys together, so that's just another popular trop.
bkdk... well... they're not interacting much in the sports festival, only behind the curtains, which is already not great start cause pairings tend to form early. really together public first sees them at the internships and then in the war. most of their development goes off screen for the in-universe fans.
although everyone who knows bkdk in-person... who am i kidding, everyone who had seen them at least once in real life, knows the truth
#actually they're all dating#tdbkdk#tdbk#bkdk#mha#my hero academia#bakugou katsuki#todobakudeku#todobaku#bakudeku#todoroki shouto#izuku midoriya#this was just a random thought#but then i decided to really think about it#and came to this conclusion#there's a chance that people might start shipping bkdk after couple of interviews with them and their classmates#but still#like#i read shipping wiki to remember some points#and read so much interesting things#jirou's the main tdbk shipper

A Waste of Air (Why Inasa Sucks as a Character)
Reasoning
Boring quirk (wasted potential, uncreative)
Wind powers are so underutilized and Inasa's is no different. It effectively amounts to 'what Hellflame does but worse'.
Whereas Enji at least has some (albeit very limited) control over the form of his fire and where it comes from his body, Inasa can only move wind around in a spiral and also use it to propell himself.
His existance only serves to be a hindrance and an obstacle both to the plot and to the characters
Literally only exists as an obstacle to Shouto, backtracking on Shoto's previous growth just so Bakugo (authors pet-cough) won't fail alone.
His introduction downplays Momo's accomplishments and skill. Taking her top spot in the Recommendation Exam by turning it into a technicality because he raged quit. (she isn't even in the flashback)
His stupid backstory.
His backstory is so fucking contrived that I almost don't want to even bother going into it.
Firstly, his reaction to Shoto's demeanor is so disproportionate that it's pathetic
Oh boo hoo, your idol was mean to you. Yeah that would work, with anyone but Shouto. It's veery similar to the Hitoshi problem. Where he bases his opinion about something/someone he knows nothing about.
Telling Shoto he's 'just like his father' is probably the worst thing you can tell him.
Secondly, He takes Shoto's reaction/rejection in the worst way possible. If what Enji had done or said had been more severe, then his reaction would be understandable as a trauma response.
However why don't we look at what Enji said:
Presumably he knocked Inasa out of the way, while an incredibly unprofessional and cruel thing to do and say (especially to a child who just wants an autograph). It does not justify his reaction towards Shoto after the entrance exam nor at the licensing exam.
It doesn't justify him throwing away his spot at UA like a child.
And it certainly doesn't justify Inasa antagonizing him in the middle of an exam!
It makes Isana come off as short sighted and inconsiderate, ironically the very same way he views Enji and (because he can't or won't differentiate the two) Shoto.
How I would Write Them
I'm not just going to sit here and moan about how lacking Hori's writing can be at times, no.
I'm going to do something about it.
Genderbend (or trans that gender)
This show is in desperate need of female characters getting the spotlight and being allowed to show their skills.
Change her backstory to emphasize Enji's sexism:
Basically she goes up to Enji after a villain arrest and excitedly tells him about how she's a fan and has been practicing very hard. She creates a decently sized tornado in her palm to show him (not much bigger than a canteen)
He then scoffs dismissively (almost snickering at her) and says something like: "Someone of your constitution would never make it to the top, stay out of the way girl and let the heroes handle it"
he glares at her before walking off with his back turned to her.
He then tosses her notebook back behind his back, burning it's corner in the process by his careless quirk use
(bonus points if the flame is snuffed via landing in a puddle, showing how her dreams were metaphorically "put out".)
Have Shoto's (unintentional) attitude remind her of Enji's insult (by dismissing her accomplishment of besting him [while still losing to Momo)
Make her resemble Rei (but not be related):
Adding another layer of connection and trauma for Shoto.
Have him seek her out instead and make her want nothing to do with him (at least at first, with the exam later forcing them to work together and gain a mutal understanding)
Upgrade her powers to something besides (Wind go wooosh).
This could be anything, personally I'd make it varied, like she's able to both mimic Air Walk and Air Cannon but can also fly around, create tornadoes and even create air pockets. Thus showing her growth and efforts.
I will say this again, Pro. Hero. Family, Make her a legacy kid. Show just how biased Hero Society can be towards those with Heroic ties.
Don't toss her after the arc is done, keep her appearances consistent, yet spaced out.
Have her appear after the Licensing Exam, highlight both 1A's growth by having her grow with them.
I would also merge the remedial course with the Licensing Exam as a sort of second portion that involves showing restraint and kindness, as well as problem solving and situation awareness in a domestic setting.
Showing that heroism is or should be more than just "punch harder, punch with feeling".
Lastly here's the design I came up with and a little information to boot.
(nothing fancy just a head and a 3rd quarter sketch, no Hero costume yet)
Isana Yaorashi, Kanji: 勇渚 (勇: brave, strong, resolute. 渚 ripple or wave (used here as a substitute for "wave" of air) also used to represent the "ripples" Enji's insult had on her life and the she impressions that she leaves on others)
Legacy Child, comes from a long line of heroes, though her parents were not about that life. Her grandfather is the one who recommended her for UA and later Shiketsu: Yoroi Musha.
Holds an intense grudge against Endeavor for his sexism and his careless/cruel tendencies. Isana wishes to show the world that "heat" isn't what makes a hero.
Personality: Very intense, a fighter to her core. Isana seldomly backs down from a challenge, however she's more than willing to push that aside to help someone in need.
Applied for both U.A and Shiketsu in advance, left due to Shoto's attitude being to remincent of an encounter she had with Endeavor's true face during her childhood.
Placed Second in the Recommendation Exam at U.A then dominated Shiketsu's Entrance Exam with a total of 100 points!.
Probably got into fights alot as a kid. Probably for good reason too.

the leaks:
skimming through the entire chapter 431 with my rough translation skills.
Uraraka's Quirk Counseling expansion seems to be her (and Tsuyu) trying to single-handedly screen for problems and child abuse by spending one month at every single (elementary) school/school district? They're helped by volunteer heroes.
She's also helped by Hawks, who negotiating with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and other organizations to provide support to change quirk education.
She is the best hero. 😭😭😭
My worries about quirk counseling have been slightly mollified by this. Slightly. It's geared towards very young children, and we don't see the actual counseling, just Heroes spending time with kids to make sure they're not showing signs of distress, but it's nice to see this tiny glimpse.
Uraraka has dreams about Toga, and wonders if Toga left her blood/quirk/will inside of Uraraka similar to how OFA functioned. Uraraka can't remember the content of the dreams, though, and wonders if Toga is trying to send her a message.
Deku says he's developed a policy to help students develop their quirks. He also goes around to elementary schools and facilities and give lectures, sharing his experiences with young girls and boys.
Shouto has taken up pottery-making classes, after thinking a lot about fate and inevitability and his path
The entire class mobilizes to capture a car thief who may or may not have used his quirk - alert said that if he does just his quirk, it might cause a big accident? idk about this part.
When Deku asks Uraraka out, Uraraka finally remembers her Toga dream, which is Toga telling her that just like how Toga lived as she liked, Uraraka should live as she likes. So Uraraka says yes to going out with Deku.
.☠️☠️☠️.
Laughing so hard because 'go live as you please!' is so Toga! It's Toga's ideal and guiding principle. She clung to being her quirk-influenced, bisexual-love, creepy-smile self, fighting to love and die as herself. She would be happy for Ochako following her heart! But did it have to be the most conventional hetero cutesy romcom shit.
The OFA-esque accumulation of will and power of Toga's quirk and love and ideals............... to encourage Ochako to date Deku.
I don't believe the League is mentioned at all by name except for Toga via Uraraka's dream, and one line from Shouto saying he was praying at Touya's altar (thus confirming that Touya is dead).
AFO is mentioned but in context of young heroes deriving their impressions of heroism from the AFO battle? idk about this part.
Two flashbacks to Shigaraki, from Deku.
First is Deku flashbacking to him inside Tenko's heart, holding Tenko's hands, as he talks about how even if he had OFA, he would still come to want to be a teacher.
(Feel like this is interesting because AFO has always been 'Sensei'/teacher to Shigaraki. In a way it feels like Deku is trying to be a Good Teacher to AFO's Bad Teacher, I guess?)
Second is Deku ruminating on Shouto's talk about 'inevitability' and how he's doing everything he wanted, and he's blessed. He flashes back to Shigaraki's "Really, do your best," which is when he also notices Uraraka laughing and get heart eyes.
So i'm laughing again that even without a dream ghost, Shigaraki's words about destruction also gets used and recontexted to fuel Deku/Ochako.
Did that extra panel of Shigaraki's almost-smile in Chapter 423 come about just to give us this ~*~parallel~*~???
It's pure gold. Villainous creeds (Destroy everything / Live as I please) ultimately used to not even prop up the Heroes doing heroic stuff related to the society that the Villains were rebelling against... but rather to get Deku and Uraraka on a date.

---------------------
You hiss as the hot wax drips down your abdomen. The heat is followed by the firm hand of Shouto as he rubs the hot wax into your skin.
"Does it sting?"
You nod, squirming under his intense gaze.
"Good."
"Ah!~" you cry out as he suddenly tips the candle upside down, causing a rainfall of the hot liquid to pool on your skin.
Tears slip down your cheeks as Shouto gives you a break, righting the candle before setting it back on its stand. "So pretty when you cry for me..." he murmurs as he wipes a droplet from your jaw. He brings his hand up to lick the salty liquid off his thumb.
He shifts to sit between your legs.
Shouto drags his finger through the wax, smearing what hasn't hardened across your stomach and over your hip. The heat is manageable by now but still leaves a red trail in its wake.
"Please..." you whimper out.
His finger freezes as heterochromatic eyes look up to pierce through you. "What? Please what?"
You squirm under his gaze, "I-" your hips shift in an attempt to convey what you want. "...fuck me..."
"What was that?" He teases, voice cold. "Use your big girl words, or I'll leave you a squirming, desperate mess."
"No~" you whine. "Please, fuck me~ Need it..."
You look away, unable to stare into those mismatched eyes any longer.
Shouto grips your jaw with one hand as the other rubs over your thigh. Forced to look at him again, you feel your breath leave you from the intense heat behind his stare.
"You want to be fucked?" His hand slides between your legs, cool fingers tracing along your folds. His fingers dig into your jaw just a fraction tighter before he drops his hand to your throat. "Want my fat cock to stretch this wet cunt? To split this pussy in half?"
His fingers plunge into your heat, punctuating his words.
"Oh god..." You moan out, eyes closing at the sudden intrusion. "Yes, fuck yes. Please, please fuck me Shouto~"
He moves to replace his fingers with his cock, rubbing himself through your folds to collect your slick. He taps his cock head against your clit before plunging into you in one movement.
You all but scream from the sudden pleasure as Shouto gives you no time to adjust to his size - he punches the air from your lungs with each sharp thrust, grunting from his place above you. His hand is still around your throat, making some of your noises come out garbled.
"You like that?" He growls. "You like being choked while I fuck your brains out? Yeah you fucking do - yeah you fucking do."
He starts to squeeze a bit more as his rhythm starts to get erratic. Your hand shoots up to grip his wrist as your gaze goes lidded.
"Look at you going dumb. My dumb little baby~" He snarkily coos. "My stupid little whore, more like it - mhh - fucking drooling over this cock."
Your pussy clamps down at his words as your eyes start to roll back. You're so, so close.
The room is echoing with the filthy sound of Shouto sinking into you over and over. The harsh slapping accompanied by the dirty squelch of your arousal.
"'M close~" you manage to whine out as your hips desperately buck up to meet his hard thrusts.
"Yeah?" Shouto grunts. "Gonna cum? Cream all over my cock like the dumb little whore that you are? Do it - I wanna see you make an even bigger mess of yourself."
He relaxes his hand, letting you get a quick gasp of air before he tightens his grip again. Your nails dig into his wrist as you gasp out.
Your vision spits with stars as a final hit to your cervix tosses you over the edge.
A sound that vaguely sounds like a cry of his name leaves your lips as you cum. Your cunt tightens like a vice around Shouto as his cock repeatedly slams into you, chasing his own release.
"That's it, baby, milk this cock for all it's worth. So fuckin' pretty - good girl~" With a final pump, Shouto spills, painting your insides as he cums.

for the anon with the jjkxmha crossovers I do have some, but spoilers for both series just in case.
I know you, that look in your eyes by deewhoppa. Megumi dies and reincarnates as shouto, starts to get his dreams invaded by gojo and the on going mystery on how that’s happening. 26 chapters and counting
What do you see at the end of the world? by atsilac. Gojo and megumi reiencarnate into touya and shouto respectively. One-shot.
an infinity between you and me by charmspeak. Gojo trapped in the prison realm but also not bc he’s in mha, but can’t get back to jjk. Abandoned at 10 chapters, but very interesting.
May death never stop you by slex (slexenskee). Gojo reincarnates into touya, becomes a vigilante, pop star, villain and role model/teacher again. Not necessarily in that order. Also tagged as Dabi/hawks. Part of a series, first fic at 43 chapters and completed.
frog in a well by unolvers. Itadori goes missing and megumi and nobara decide to hop dimensions about it, get caught up in 1-A and UA and are trying very hard to find itadori. Part of series 52/60 chapters.

Nonnie asked: Is there a reason you’ve become so hostile towards Deku and Bakugou? Is it because the two main characters of the show get the spotlight main characters usually get? Or because All Might doesn’t pay as much attention to Shouto as he does to the other two, who have been set up from the early chapters to be his successors? It just seems unfair that ppl are hating the fact that Bakugou shared the title of ‘greatest hero’ when this has been set up from the start?
I've been hesitating whether to reply this bait question, but here it goes fwiw:
1. I'm not hostile to Deku and Bakugou as characters, but I have criticism of how the story handles them as of late. It's not the same. I think their dynamic was interesting until the apology chapter, but there was nothing truly interesting Hori managed to do with their dynamic after that, imho. They both had potential to have interesting dynamic with others (Deku with Shigaraki in particular), but in the end the writing remained pretty lackluster all around.
2. I really really dislike interacting with the arrogant and entitled shipping fandom and have been making a lot of efforts to mute it / avoid it. That’s not the same as hating the characters.
3. Btw, MHA has one MC - it's Deku. Then it has a main cast which prominently includes Bakugou, but also includes many other characters. Fans of those characters have also been given legitimate expectations (like the villains being saved, for example) for both spotlight and pay-off and have every right to criticize the story for not delivering on it. I’m sick of you guys pretending that every other character is “background”.
4. I'm mostly laughing at the "greatest heroes" stuff, because it's not about the "set-up", it's about the delivery. I have a really hard time seeing in what way they earned the greatest heroes title especially in a chapter that talks about Deku failing his fundamental narrative challenge of saving his villain in a meaningful way, or engaging with his issues.
I can kind of stretch myself and see how the final arc brought together people whose lives he touched (or saved on EZ-mode like Gentle and Nagant) back in the days when he was a passable MC.
Bakugou though? He was just one of a bunch of people who beat AFO. What makes him "greater" than Jirou who destabilized his quirks, than Tokoyami who smashed his helmet, than Endeavor who actually did kill him and forced him on the rewind, than Hawks, Mt Lady, Inasa, Camie, etc.?
Everyone in this final arc faced threats they were too weak to face, yet they did it (Sero, Satou coming in to save Deku against AFO they have no hopes to survive) anyways. What makes Bakugou more exceptional? That he managed to die? Every single character pushed way past their limits (even if they didn't get the praise).
Even All Might could only come up with "you are greatest because you saved my life" which feels a bit tone-deaf in a chapter where he also says "oh well as long as he wasn't crying anymore he’s saved - Tomura's actual life didn't matter that much".
5. So I'm bitter, because I actually like Bakugou's character and care deeply about him and wanted him to be greatest in a satisfying way. But to me, his endgame felt seriously lacking.
He's a charismatic character that could have inspired many and he's smart so he could have worked great with others. But instead, he had been once again made a damsel, his team was sacrificed for him and he barely acknowledged that and even this chapter says "yeah, he did all these awesome things, we don't really know how because it was all asspull, but isn't he magnificent?"
So I deeply resent that the final arc made Bakugou look like the creator's pet the fandom always accused him of being. Lots of glaze, but actually very little substance. To me at least it wasn't satisfying.
6. As for Shouto - I honestly don't care about All Might anymore. I've always felt so-so about his character, but I was interested in the "deconstruction", for the story to tell us how his system was untenable. Well, the final arc also destroyed any deconstruction his character and the society he built may have had, basically validating his reign as the Symbol of Peace and arbiter of Greatest Hero gold stars, as well as Most Important Life To Be Saved (tm).
Shouto's arc is about validating and affirming his own reasons for existence, defining what his power is and I don't need All Might to tell me that how great he is. I think his actions, as well as the hundreds of lives he saved speak loud enough. I do resent shit like Hori offscreening him in Ch 422 only to offscreen him again for Bakugou in 423, but like I guess in the grand scheme of things, we don't really need a scene to know he'll support his friends to his last breath, because that's like a given for his character.
At this point, all I'm hoping for is that he will get a fitting narrative conclusion - even if it's just a hug from his mom, and not have another writing fumble destroy his character arc. Shouto will always be an icon for people who understand and respect his journey and his quiet heroism. [Smile or comment on the answer here](https://retrospring.net/@class1akids/a/112534216876296276)

The one in which you and Touya were childhood best friends turned sweethearts, and your reaction to Dabi.
warnings - heavy angst, grief, and manga spoilers
Touya Todoroki had been your everything. He was your first friend, your first crush, and your first kiss. You were his number one supporter, always cheering him on, even after his family gave up on him becoming a pro hero. You were there when Shouto was born, and you were there to comfort Touya after he tried to kill him. You would apply burn cream and ice after every burn and bring bento boxes full of food to Sekoto Peak after he had been training for hours. You were there for every up and down, waiting to help him get back onto his feet and keep training harder and harder.
And at the end of it all, you were the last one to see him alive.
You refused his invitation to the top of the mountain that day- “Finals are coming up Touya and I need to study. You should be studying too”. He had tried to get you to come anyway, but you put your foot down. You two got into a heated argument over it, ending with you both stomping away in different directions.
You had seen the raging wildfire from your window and were instantly overcome with grief. You tried to go to the forest, calling out for your best friend, but you were stopped by Endeavor- his father- of all people. Once you informed him that his oldest son was inside the burning inferno, you were left alone.
A part of your soul died with Touya Todoroki that day, but life goes on. You adopted the Todoroki’s habit of not acknowledging trauma and carried on with your life like nothing had happened- at least on the surface.
It was difficult, you had your bad days, but you also had your good ones. On the especially hard days, you tried to remember the happy memories you had of him and reminded yourself that he wouldn’t want you to waste the day by being sad. ‘Touya would want me to move on and be happy’, you would remind yourself.
After ten years, you were better. You had managed to overcome your grief and move on with your life, but all your hard work had come crumbling down when you saw Dabi’s broadcast.
“My name is Touya Todoroki, the oldest son of the number one pro hero.”
Your entire world had halted on its axis as soon as the words left his mouth. You just stared at the broadcast, your frantic heartbeats the only sound you could hear aside from the confession that kept replaying like a mantra inside your head.
For the next couple of months, you didn’t outwardly acknowledge that your best friend- your first love- was a villain. That the friendly and hard-working adolescent that you knew was a serial killer.
You were amongst the evacuees when you saw the broadcast of the fight from a TV inside an abandoned store window. You dropped your backpack that contained everything that you could quickly grab from your apartment to the payment in shock as your brain tried to process what you were witnessing.
Touya- Dabi- and Endeavor battling it out in the middle of the city, and then Touya being engulfed in an inferno.
“Mom!” A familiar female voice called out from somewhere behind you. You turned in time to watch Rei Todoroki race towards the growing fireball, with Fuyumi and Natsuo following close on her heels. You did not hesitate to follow suit.
“Touya!” You heard the Todoroki’s yelling as they reached the impending explosion. You watched in awe as they activated their Frost Quirks, trying to cool their oldest son and brother down.
“Touya!” You yelled as you reached the wall of heat. Your clothes started to singe as you got closer.
“Y/N!” Fuyumi called out to you when she saw you. “What are you doing?! Get away!”
“No! Not before we stop Touya!”
“Y/N are you insane?” Natsuo swore.
“Y/N, get away!” Rei said to you as you continued to approach. “Your body cannot handle the heat!”
“And yours can?” You retorted. “Touya!”
“Touya! Big bro snap out of it!”
“Touya, stop!”
“Touya!” You screamed out before strong arms pulled you through the swelting wall of flames. You yelped as the flames licked at your skin. You managed to see the familiar face of Dabi through the smoke. You called out to him, “Touya! Stop, you are hurting me.”
“It’s Dabi now, sweetheart.” He said in a low voice as he wrapped his arms around you. You could practically feel the hatred dripping from his tongue. “What? Y/N, did you think I would stop my rampage about I saw you again, like some lovesick puppy?” He chuckled as he brought himself impossibly closer to you. You didn’t know if the scent of burning flesh was coming from you or him. “The Touya that you knew died ten years ago on Sekoto Peak. Again, it’s Dabi now, and Dabi doesn’t know you.” He whispered into your ear before lighting his entire body on fire.

As I write Ambush Simulation, a question that comes up for me personally, and this applies to canon as well, is how many people knew what Endeavor was doing to his family?
The answer?
Well, here's a complicated mess of the several factors I explore in the series, but the two basic points it boils down to is money and the Commission's corruption.
Up front, I don't think that many people knew about what Endeavor was doing, or at least didn't have concrete proof of it. And that's not me trying to be optimistic. Yes, the idea that other Pros knew and stayed out of it for whatever reason whether it was fear of retaliation from Endeavor or general 'don't get involved' apathy does make a lot of sense. But the other side of that coin is the hero professional field was structured to be aggressively competitive. There's the bi-annual rankings and the constant talk about securing a high place in said rankings and their very livelihood's depending on their success in the field. It all comes back to the financial gain and being a hero for the wrong reasons that Stain exposed to society. I feel like if more people knew about what was going on, one of Endeavor's competitors would have publicly outed him with incriminating information if it meant removing one more rival from the equation or having the game of ‘being the hero who exposed the villain in their ranks.’ Forget the family, I think someone might’ve pulled that trigger for their own gain.
But going even deeper into this is the thought the Todoroki family themselves collectively keep that mistreatment on lockdown for a variety of reasons. Their father/husband is the No. 2 Hero, effectively a national figure, and so outing him as an abuser and so on has the potential for disastrous consequences.
If that story gets out, Rei, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto's lives become a media circus.
Inevitably, there's going to be the diehard Endeavor fans who'll deny their story no matter the evidence. That kind of harassment would be a nightmare.
For better or worse, because of Endeavor's career and the financial gain that came with it, they do have a certain lifestyle they're used to. We could get into lawsuits, settlements, and other legal financial actions, but that is a daunting prospect and the family might have thought so, too. "Mom's in the hospital, there's bills to pay, and even if we come forward, there's no guarantee we'll come out on top because...
And this is the biggest one. The Commission canonically had an assassin to eliminate corrupt heroes, but I think the people Nagant was made to kill were low-ranked nobodies, deaths that could easily be swept under the rug and blamed on unidentified criminals. If someone in the top ten was found out to be doing something they shouldn't, that complicates matters. If the choice is between arranging an assassination for one of their top-performing heroes, someone who would impossible to replace in a hurry and a death that would be highly scrutinized by the public, or simply hushing up the story, the latter would probably be the Commission's choice.
Because of the Commission, the Todoroki family coming forward is a major gamble in which they could lose everything. A desire to avoid harassment from journalists and angry fans while maintaining the familiar, if unhealthy, status quo is an understandable option. It's not a good option, but I can see it being viewed as the ‘safe’ one. It’s the twisted philosophy of ‘my home is not safe, but it’s the only one I know.’ This would explain why even Natsuo, the least tolerant of the family, didn’t come forward.
But let's face it. Secrets like that aren't kept for long.
Rei goes missing for ten years and nobody thought to question it? No, people were asking. Endeavor's clearly not a family man, but he has four kids and the youngest one, the perfect fire and ice hybrid, is the one he's pushing to be a hero? That's suspicious. But I would also think ‘Quirk marriages’ are hard to prove in court and that kind of accusation could possibly get someone sued for slander. Proving it in Endeavor’s case becomes even harder if the accuser doesn’t have the family backing up their claims. And then we’re back to the reasons the family won’t come forward and the Commission denouncing any and all accusations to cover for Endeavor.
So there’s no singular reason why no one came forward but rather a convoluted mess of multiple reasons that feed off each other, orbiting around the Commission and the Todoroki Family's respective chokeholds on their status quo.
The Todoroki Family fears reprisal from the Commission.
The Commission fears reprisal from the public should one of their best Pros be condemned for 'villainous' actions.
Other Pros either fear the Commission or respect the Todoroki Family's decision.
With moving parts like that, a grenade like Dabi’s Dance was the only way a scandal like this could be made public. That was an accusation that could not be ignored, denied, or dismissed as a hoax and I would be very curious to see how the Commission would have handled that crisis had they survived long enough to see the aftermath.
Bottom line, while it’s easy to imagine a lot of Pros could have been maliciously apathetic, there also wasn’t an easy way forward for anyone who would have wanted to help the Todoroki family.
At least that’s how I have it structured in the fic, but can see this theory/headcanon fitting in the canon narrative.

USJ Arc (Week 7) - Part 2
(Warning: this one is super long.)
Weakness
We see Bakugou, Kouji, and Hanta, falling into the water surrounding the single boat. All around them, villains await. Almost immediately, they're attacked.
Kouji struggles, moving only just fast enough, gaining gashes all over his limbs as he flails in the water, unable to get to the surface, or use his quirk to call for any sort of fish less he drowns even faster.
Bakugou instinctively tries to use his quirk, but quickly realises that he's underwater, washing away any and all of the sweat he could use. Any sparks he generates die down at once, and he's attacked.
Hanta manages to twist out of the way of an attack, and reckons he was lucky, as his tape's stickiness isn't affected by water - so he's able to latch onto the ship and pull himself out of danger. As he coughs out all the water that entered his throat, he shoots his tape out, wrapping it around Bakugou and Kouji's waists, pulling them to safety too.
Surrounded by all these villains, they can't do anything. There are no fish in the vicinity for Kouji to use, no structures for Hanta to use to leverage himself, and Bakugou cannot use his quirk at all.
The villains attack without hesitation, severing the boat in half. It's sinking quick, and there will be no escaping if they sink with it.
Hanta and Kouji quickly try to come up with some sort of plan to escape in one piece, but they're too shaken to formulate a proper one, and they come up with blanks at every turn. As far as they're aware, there is no escaping.
Bakugou can't say anything, can't even move. Because of him, (and Eijirou), Kurogiri was given the opportunity to scatter them. He couldn't even resist as he was sent into the water. Hand-to-hand combat won't work against people who thrive in the water, and his quirk is out of use. He's useless.
Hanta resorts to using his tape to drag the two halves of the ship together, straining as he does. He can feel his tape at its limits, threatening to, not just dislocate but break his elbows. Kouji does what he can, helping him pull, screaming out for any creature to heed his call.
Seeing them, these people he once deemed as useless, weak extras, actually doing something kicks Bakugou's brain back into working, and he helps them keep it together, trying to find a way to beat these villains with or without a quirk.
(He can't.)
-
Mina, Shouto, and Rikidou find themselves falling into the landslide zone, and Shouto immediately throws a platform of ice to catch them all.
But the land moves, and his platform goes with it, diving right towards the group of villains before them.
Annoyed more than anything, he shoots another blast of ice, blocking the villains from them, but the land is still unstable and doing everything it can to ruin them.
And, before the might of the Earth, Shouto's ice crumbles beneath them. Villains with mole quirks, quirks that allow them to traverse Earth with ease, pop out from underneath them, attacking without hesitation.
Shouto's wall of ice holds out well for the remaining thirty or so villains, who can't traverse land, but the twenty-ish villains are more than enough to put the pressure on.
Rikidou is downing sugar packets are sugar packets, his mind blanking as he loses himself in a rage, doing whatever he can to fight off these villains, but they have the home advantage, using it to trick him, popping up behind him and making his large swings hit the air.
Shouto can't use larger attacks, less he hurts his own teammates, and each time he layers the ground with ice, it crumbles by the landslide, and all he can do is attack directly, icing over limbs that are easily taken care of with a hard enough punch.
Mina, however, is a different story. Already used to slipping and sliding, she is able to find stable-enough footing to put up a good enough fight. But her fear and desperation is her worst enemy. Not because she gets hit, but because she forgets to regulate her acid.
Without thinking, she slams a large amount of acid into a group of villains' faces, and they scream, they faces bubbling from the acidity and heat, falling to the ground as they scream in pain.
And that is the worst part for her. But she can't stop doing it, desperately slamming handfuls of acid into any villain that approaches, feeling sicker and sicker as they writhe in agony.
Rikidou pays it no mind, his own far too gone for him to care. Shouto doesn't see the issue with it, far too desensitised to understand why it messes Mina up. Both of them only care that they get out alive, any means necessary.
But they don't get it. Mina knows how destructive her acid is. She knows that it's not just burning them. It's killing them. But she can't stop - not when it's them or her.
(It doesn't make it any easier.)
-
Tsuyu and Tooru land in the ruins zone, and have to dodge out of the way of a falling building as soon as they do. Tsuyu does it with ease, and Tooru isn't too far behind.
Unfortunately for them, the villains are well aware of how agile they are, and thus have no issue blocking off their way out.
Their quirks don't take advantage of the zone as others do, but they all have quirks that increase their defense and agility, making it far too easy to either not care about the falling buildings, or dodge them entirely.
Tooru is able to defend well enough, her body built up enough to cause damage to the villains, her quirk quickly ridding her of any pain she feels, (as pain is a form of energy), and her stamina enough to last at least eight minutes in continuous combat, but it's taking the toll.
While she can't feel the pain, her body is still being damaged - something she's not yet used to. She can go stealth mode, yes, but she's not escaping without Tsuyu.
Tsuyu is faring a lot less well, forced to do nothing but dodge. While her frog mutation helps her a lot in this regard, it does nothing when she's hit by anything that lands, and she's not built enough to withstand the impacts. It messes her up, and she can't risk leaping into buildings when they're all falling around them.
Everytime she's hit, it results in more hits, as they villains are well-enough coordinated to make combos. The more she runs, the more pathetic she feels, and her worsened mental state only makes it harder to escape their wrath.
Tooru is trying her best to help Tsuyu out, activating her invisiblity mode and taking out whatever villain she can, but when it's raining so much, they can tell where she is by the way the rain hits her body. They still have to make a conscious effort to see her, buying her more time to get to Tsuyu, but it's not perfect.
All they can do is flail about and wait to see who lasts longer.
-
Yuuga, Denki, and Minoru tumble down the mountains as soon as they leave the portal. They can't stop their roll down as they become further and further apart.
It's only when they land at the bottom, surrounded by eager, eager villains that they can finally do something, their bodies unstable as their eyes spin and their stomachs churn.
Denki lashes out with his quirk as the first hit strikes, but it's quickly diffused by the Earth, leaving only one villain to take the hit. One villain out of fifty. To make matters worse, he hits one of the few villains resistant to electricity-type attacks, and all of the villains are wearing grounded shoes to mitigate all attacks of the kind.
All he can do is try to strike them without touching the ground, but they bring out copper rods, stabbing them into the ground to mess up his aim. He panics even more.
Minoru screams, trying to run away, but his legs are far too short to gain any sort of distance - especially when he's trying to run uphill. When the villains cut him off, he throws his balls, doing whatever he can to slow them down.
It works to some extent, but the villains know to dodge his balls, and only a few get tagged. Even then, they aren't stuck to the ground. But it's the only thing he can of doing, so he does it again and again with less results.
Then it happens. A villains lands a punch to Denki's temple. For a moment, his vision goes black, and when that happens, he loses any and all control, letting his electricity ride all around him.
Minoru notices before the villains, diving into a bush to defend himself as best as he, throwing balls into the leaves for added protection, from both the villains and Denki's quirk.
The electricity is too much for the rods to contain, and all the villains in his vicinity are struck. They spasm, frothing at the mouth as their limbs shake uncontrollably, before they finally fall, twitching on the ground. Only the electric-resistant villains are left standing, and even they have been affected, stumbling.
Seeing the result of his actions, Denki freezes, his mind going blank. It's the perfect opportunity to the villains left standing, as they regain their footing and rush in.
Minoru peeks up from the bushes, thankful that he used his balls to protect himself as the leaves and branches have burnt, and sees the villains rushing Denki, about ten of them. He realises that they've forgotten about him.
For a moment, he turns around, ready to flee while he's got the chance. He takes a step forward, then hears the first punch land. He freezes, and takes another hesitant step. Another dull thud, followed by a yelp of pain.
Ah. Screw it.
His legs shake mightily, but he wants to be a hero, dammit! With this, he can finally prove to himself that he deserves to at least try.
So, he turns back around, and launches his first ball, getting lucky and sticking two villains together, resulting in them falling. At once, all of them turn to him.
Steeling himself, he sticks his tongue out and waves his bum at them, before he runs off, leading them away from the still despondant Denki.
Just this once, he'll be brave for someone.
-
Momo and Eijirou feel the water and wind before they realise they're falling into the downpour zone. Eijirou hardens his body, but he doesn't think he can handle that hard of a fall.
Momo panics, before she finally gets her head straight and shoots out a thick sheet of sorbothane underneath them, absorbing the impact of their dive. It tears where Eijirou lands with his hardened skin, but it absorbs most of the shock anyway.
The villains charge in as soon as they land, attacking without restraint.
Eijirou jumps in front of Momo, acting as a shield for her, but he can't do much else as his mind is in shambles, realising that the reason everyone was scattered in the first place was precisely because of him, (and Bakugou), rushing in despite heroes being right there. He can only grit his teeth and let his hardened arms take the hits.
Momo, refusing to let Eijirou bare this alone, takes a few steps away from him and create a claymore. She hasn't trained much in regards to it, but she knows how it's supposed to be used, and starts swinging it in front of her, batting away any villains that try to approach.
And that's all they can do. Defend. Push villains away. They can't run, as that would just give them the opportunity to strike their turned backs.
All they can do is defend.
It frustrates both of them, as they were so ready to become actions heroes, yet they're unable to take down a single one. Even with her claymore, Momo can't take down any of them, only batting them away as she's nowhere near strong enough to use the claymore to it's fullest potential.
What's worse is this: they're only defending themselves. Heroes-in-training, yet the only person they're able to protect is themselves.
How pitiful.
-
As soon as their classmates were dragged into the portals, Mezou, Tenya, Fumikage, and Ochako could only dive out of the way as Kurogiri sent another portal their way.
Thirteen, however, was far more collected, opening their glove to start dragging Kurogiri into their blackhole.
Unbothered, Kurogiri merely opened two portals: one encompassing their hand, and the other behind Thirteen.
Tenya notices first, calling out to Thirteen, but it's too late. They shut off their blackhole as soon as they reailse what's happening but the blackhole moves faster, destroying their back.
Fumikage calls out to Tenya as he stands in front of him, Ochako and Mezou already rushing at Kurogiri. He reminds him of what Izuku asked - to get help from U.A.
Tenya protests at first, unwilling to leave his classmates in such a dire scenario, but Fumikage cuts him off, telling him that it's perhaps the most important thing to do, and could be the difference between life or death.
"Please, Iida-kun!" Ochako yells as she lunges for Kurogiri's neckbrace - the only physical part of him. "We're all relying on you!"
Kurogiri refuses to allow this, however, as tries to trap them. Unfortunately for him, Snipe finally notices Thirteen's down body, and shoots at Kurogiri's brace, making him falter. Angered, Kurogiri turns to them, intercepting the next bullet, but Snipe easily dodges the exit portal.
Snipe commands him to go, and Tenya finds that he can't refuse any longer.
Ochako slams a hand on his back, making him lighter as he fires up his engines. Fumikage turns, allowing Dark Shadow to slam into the doors, denting it. Mezou makes his own move, punching into the doors hard enough to crack it.
Finally, Fumikage and Mezou hit it at once, and the doors go flying off, just in time for Tenya to escape.
Meanwhile, Snipe continues to battle Kurogiri, shooting at him and ducking and weaving the bullets that are shot back at him. Kurogiri fights well enough, but Snipe is formidable.
The kids get to working on Thirteen, with Dark Shadow encompassing Thirteen's back to lengthen their time. Mezou steps in front of them, ready to battle any attack that comes their way.
The first attack lands, and Snipe buckles with his bleeding thigh.
It's the beginning of the end.
-
Why?
Izuku stands before Tomura, his wrist still bubbling from the villain's hold. He wonders momentarily how Kyouka and Mashirao are holding up, but shakes the thought away - he's got far more to worry about for the time being.
"Welcome," Tomura greets him with a grin, and it's more chilling how genuine his glee is than anything else.
The giant, hulking, purple beast has stopped its attack on Mic and Aizawa, but that doesn't mean much when they look half-dead already. Blood pooling around their bodies, Aizawa's arm twisted the wrong way, and Mic's leg pulled longer than the other. Not even a twitch from either of them.
Izuku feels sick, and Tomura loves seeing it so evident on his face.
Horrid sight aside, Izuku turns to Tomura. "Why me?" Why did Tomura choose to speak to him? Of all people.
Tomura hummed, scratching his neck. "You're interesting." Before Izuku could even ask why, he continued forth with an explanation. "I know how you quirkless people are treated. Less than the useless NPCs. Less than the villains or the evil-coded ones. So, why are you trying to be a hero?"
He spat the word out like it was flith, unfitting to last even a second on his tongue. Izuku's stomach churned, but he couldn't back down.
"I could ask the same of you," he retorted, hating how unsteady his voice was. "Why are you a villain?"
Tomura snickered, the sound as dry as his skin, almost scratchy in its noise. "Fair enough," he conceded, head twisting to the side, like some sort of puppet. "It's weird. I bet you were treated worse than filth, weren't you?"
Izuku flinched, doing whatever he could to stop his eyes from dragging away.
"Ah, yeah, I bet they stepped all over you. They treated a piece of gum under the desk better than you, didn't they? Kids were ruthless. Adults didn't make it easier, no, they made it harder."
It was as if Tomura has been keeping an eye on him since he was diagnosed. Since he was branded with the name 'Deku', since he was first hit, since the teachers first told him off for being hurt...
"Nobody saved you, did they?"
It was as if he knew.
Tomura grinned, seeing exactly how right he was as Izuku's defiant eyes slowly moved to the ground. He was winning this duel, he knew it.
"No one saved you, so why do you want to save them?"
And, here, Tomura loses.
Because Izuku's already been through that. He asked himself that very same question when he was eight and he nearly lost his hearing because Bakugou thought it'd be funny to hit him with an explosion to his ear.
He knew the answer a long time ago.
"Because I know what it's like!" he snapped, a pinch of satisfaction hitting when he saw Tomura take a step back in shock. "I know what it's like to be hurt, so why would I do that to anyone else? That's not justice, that's just petty revenge!" He stepped forward, ignoring how Kurogiri tensed, ready to attack should he do so. "And you? What do you gain from all this? From attacking kids who aren't even heroes? Why!? Why are you doing all this!?"
Tomura scowled, pushing foward, head butting against Izuku's. "Because I know what it's like." Hearing his own words used against him, Izuku stumbled back, and Tomura pressed further. "I know what it's like, but the rest of the world doesn't. So, why not teach them? Why not let them get a taste of what they did to me?" His eyes were wide between the fingers of the hand on his face. "Why not destroy the society that begets violence on the innocent?"
Because that was what they were. Innocent. And it was society that ruined it.
Izuku knew that. His innocence was destroyed when he first learned how cruel the world was. He learned that when he was the young age of five and Bakugou used his quirk on him for the first time, for the crime of standing up for a bullied kid. He knew it - that not all people are created equal...
But.
"Because that only creates more violence."
They can grow to become equal.
Tomura sniffed, looking down at him, stretching his scarred neck. "And?"
Izuku realised then and there - it didn't matter what he said. Because this man lived to destroy.
Shaking his head, he took yet another step back. "You don't care, do you?" Tomura froze, twisting his head to stare at him, eyes boring into his soul. "You don't care about people like me. People who have suffered as you claim to have. You don't care."
And Tomura grinned. "Correct."
With a snap of his wrist, Izuku's wrist snapped too, and he screamed. The Noumu didn't care, lifting a bulky fist, and slamming it on his arm.
-
I AM HERE
Ochako could hear Izuku scream, but she couldn't do anything but feel her heart break as she did her best to keep the villains away from Snipe and Thirteen.
She wanted to cry, for the destruction surrounding her, but she couldn't. Not when it would mean giving the villains a chance to hurt her teachers and friends.
Fumikage and Mezou were doing their part, and Tenya was getting help as fast as he could. All she had to do was do her part.
As she pushed another villain away, watching him fall into the line of twenty villains, a gust of wind rushed past her.
No, not wind.
"Have no fear..."
Looking up, she saw that all those villains were now at the ground, knocked out. And a mighty figure stood in front of the Noumu, fist low as it reeled back, everpresent smile gone, replaced by a look of pure rage.
"FOR I AM HERE!"
With that, All Might smashed his fist up, right into the Noumu's chest. Seeing him, the Symbol of Peace, Ochako fell to her knees, eyes watering. He was here.
They were saved.
-
Izuku bleerily peered up. His pain tolerance has always been good, what with being beaten up since he was young, but this was almost too much.
Hurting didn't even begin to describe it. It was as though his arm was gone, even though he could see it - mangled as it was.
All Might was here. His uppercut sent the Noumu off of him, but not as far as he expected. No, it was more like the Noumu merely tumbled off.
It regained its footing soon enough.
Looking around, he spotted the prone forms of Aizawa and Mic, settled by the flood zone, and felt his awe rise and realised what All Might did: moved Aizawa and Mic away before they were caught in the crossfire.
"Midoriya-kun!"
His lungs stuttered, unable to draw in air properly, and he managed to move his eyes to the approaching figures. A teary-eyed Mina, a heavy-lidded Rikidou, and a clearly frustrated Shouto.
Mina rushed to him first, her hands hovering over his body. Tomura was far too engaged in the fight between All Might and the Noumu to care, and Kurogiri was busy shielding him from the rubble that was produced with each punch to do anything to stop them. Lucky.
Shouto leaned down, eyes dragging from the fight to the ugly sight of Izuku's arm. He held himself back from wincing. Instead, he reached out, "I'll ice over your arm," and did exactly that.
Izuku squeezed his eyes shut as the cold layer settled over his arm, stinging as it soothed his torn mucles and broken bones.
"We need to get out of here," Rikidou declared, taking Izuku's feet as Shouto grabbed onto his shoulder, ignoring how Izuku whimpered at the action.
Mina nodded, following them as she kept an eye out for any villains, her fists shaking and her mind still on those she left to suffer, but she would do anything to defend her friends.
Shouto took one last look at the fight as he helped Izuku, eyes widening at the sight of the Noumu's claws digging into All Might's sides. But, although annoyed that he had to, he looked away, focusing on getting Izuku to safety.
-
All Might had been struggling, at first. With Kurogiri supporting the Noumu at every turn, making its movements unpredictable, he'd been unable to keep up.
Not to mention the targetted attack to his injury, which hurt like hell but mostly made him question how they knew about it. Unless it was a lucky shot, but he couldn't write it off as one, considering this thing seemed to have multiple quirks.
And there was only one man who do such a thing.
But, as the battle waned on, he couldn't focus on such a thing. He could only focus on the fight, and his rapidly decreasing strength and stamina - a side effect of pushing past his three hour limit.
Mic, Snipe, Thirteen, Aizawa. They were all on the verge of death, and Izuku was close to approaching them had he not arrived.
And where was he when this all happened? Stopping D-Class villains, purse snatchers, petty theft... Drinking tea as he was scolded by Nedzu. How pathetic.
He was busy doing meaningless tasks as his students and his coworkers - his friends were nearly killed.
His rage towards himself increased, and so too did his power.
Pathetic, he thinks to himself as he throws a barrage of punches at the Noumu, rushing back in whenever the Noumu lands a swing. He was too damn pathetic. Who was he to call himself a hero if he failed to save even one life?
He thought his ego was humbled by Gran Torino? How laughable! He was as egotistical as ever, believing he needed to be the hero for petty crimes when he allowed this disgusting organised attack to occur?
Whose fault was it that this happened? Who was the one drinking tea while his students and coworkers suffered?
"Who was it!?" All Might screams as he lands a punch to the Noumu's liver, teeth grit to the point it nearly drew blood.
Who played hero and forgot to be one!?
Who knew exactly what could have happened today and still wasted time lollygagging!?
"WHO!?" An uppercut to its jaw, followed by a hook to its temple, a step back and a straight to its chest.
It was him.
It was his fault.
And he shall rectify it here and now!
Maybe he's running on steam, but all he had to do...
Was Go Beyond!
"PLUS!" -a fist to its torso- "ULTRA!"
An uppercut to its chest, enough force to ignore that shock absorption, sending it flying, away and away, smashing through the glass ceiling and far from his sight. Good.
His legs quivered, and his fist refused to clench.
He was running on steam earlier, and now he only had a few drops left. Still, he couldn't back down.
Turning to Tomura and Kurogiri, he glared into their heads.
"Well?" he taunted. "What's next?"
Kurogiri shifted. "Shigaraki-sama, perhaps we should escape."
Tomura scowled. "Why?" He drew in a scathing breath, feeling it slither down his throat. "Why?"
The Noumu was created specifically to end All Might. How is he still alive!? He promised - HE PROMISED!
"WHY!?"
"Shigaraki-sama!"
Tomura ignored him, rushing at All Might, who didn't move an inch.
"EVERYONE!"
Tenya's voice echoed across the USJ, as a cement wall blocked Tomura, then more protruded from the ground, forcing him away.
"I BROUGHT HELP!"
-
Retreat
Faced with a wall of heroes, Kurogiri reacted as fast as he could, dragging Tomura into a portal before the heroes could react.
-
Hanta's elbows were bleeding, and it would have been a lot worse if Bakugou and Kouji weren't there to help. But, their grips were slipping and it wouldn't be long before they let go and met the ocean.
"INCOMING!"
All three of them whipped their heads around, just as they were grabbed by multiple heroes and taken to dry land, the water quickly spinning into a tsunami, taking down the villains.
The hero clones disappeared, and Ectoplasm announced, loud and clear, "You're safe now!"
-
All around them, the villains dropped, and a hand slammed around their mouths. Tsuyu and Tooru struggled, only for a familiar voice to speak, "It's okay, sweeties."
Midnight stood behind them, her arms bare as her pink gas spread, knocking out the villains.
"You're safe now."
-
Denki and Minoru stood among the field of villains. None were left standing, yet they couldn't bring themselves to relax. Not when their nerves were so high.
As they panted, a hand clasped around each of their shoulders, "Hey, kiddos."
Screaming, they turned, ready to attack, only to freeze when faced by one Lunch Rush.
"It's okay," he assured, bringing their heads to his shoulders. "You're safe now."
-
Momo gasped, panicking as a large hand clamped around her claymore, forcing her to stop swinging. She pulled, desperate, then paused as she looked up.
Eijirou turned, wondering when the villains stopped attacking, and stopped altogether.
"Yo!" Power Loaded greeted, with a cheer they wanted to hear so dearly. "No need to worry anymore! You're safe."
-
They were saved.
That day, there was no shame as they cried, relief pouring through their body, and all they could think...
Was that they were safe now.
-
Notes:
Far longer than I intended this to be, but I didn't want to make you all wait for another part. If you like longer parts, you're welcome! If you don't... I'm sorry...
COMPETENT VILLAINS? IN MY STORY? YOU BET!
Next week? Expect some exploring of the aftermath. The fact that they canonically didn't show any trauma from the USJ is a damn shame, and I INTEND TO CORRECT IT
Conclusion:
Everyone struggles against their villains, Mina and Denki nearly killing some
Tomura and Izuku have a debate
All Might faces the Noumu - and wins
Tomura and Kurogiri retreat
1-A are saved by the heroes of U.A.

Okay so thinking on Cousin Alenko and it's like: dude Izuku would be famous for his relationship to Shepard and like…
Imagine. You're Todoroki Shouto, son of the number two hero. You've been bred (like a dog and it sticks in your throat, choking you) to be a perfect hero. You've been trained since four, bloody knuckles and scars. You have a burn on your face from your mother, a broken woman trapped in her nightmares when she hurt you.
You go to UA, convinced no one else can beat you. You don't think about the fact you didn't get first in the recommendation exams- the girl who did literally makes things from her own body. You know your father is debating an arranged marriage.
You go to UA, thinking no one is more famous then you.
“Shepard Izuku?!?” is said when a green haired boy enters the classroom.
Shepard, the hero of the galaxy. The woman who took down the Repears. Who convinced a group of villains to use their shielding Quirks to protect Earth, Palavean, Thessia, Sur’Kesh, Tchunka and more. (not all could be protected but they tried so hard) You know she has a cousin- or one of her husbands do who is human and has publically spoken about wanting to be a Hero like All Might. You just didn't expect this.
Todoroki Shouto goes home to comment on this to his sister. His father overhears and demands he beat Shepard. That he needs to prove himself.
In a fit of spite, you decide to befriend him.
(it's the best choice you ever made)
#bnha#bnha au#mass effect#cousin alenko#Kaidan took Shepard’s name#she's more famous#izuku jumped on the chance to dump his father’s last name#Garrus is the second husband#he doesn't get heroics#except snipe#he likes that guy

From your posts so far I feel like you have such a wide variety of understanding complex characters. How do you think you would tackle writing for Todoroki Touya, and have you ever considered any storyline for him? What kind of civilian reader do you think you’d craft for him if so?
beyond a post-canon bonnie and clyde AU, i’ve never really seriously considered a fic for dabbers. 🧐 he’s a fun character in canon, but to me that’s because he’s a walking tragedy—his hatred and desperation for his father. his resentment of his perfect baby brother. the way both of those things blindside him to his other brother, his sister, their mum. i don’t see him as like, the fun flirty bad boy that i think was a given read of him, earlier in BNHA—i think what he eventually goes through will profoundly change him, if he lives. it’ll take hard work for him to get to a place where he can be like, happy with the family that’s reaching out to him—his father, his mother, his siblings…. his perfect baby brother.
for a post-canon dabbers fic, i’d probably strike at the in-between time between him physically and mentally healing—like, his injuries have been treated, he’s gotten physical therapy. maybe he has a prosthetic arm like his arm, or a cane to help him walk but he can do things, he can physically be apart of the world again—but he still bubbles with his resentment. touya’s a massive fazacon in canon and everyone who disagrees with me can argue with a wall LMAOOO i’m right about this forever, but like, for a x reader fic i think that means competition for his attention on a very base level, you know? like, how do you bond with and romance a guy that’s constantly sour about how his father ruined his life??? to me that means you benefit best from having a Reader-insert who either has their own baggage, or is nihilistic enough to laugh his off LOL. and i think if you’re going to make them both like, kinda unrepentant assholes, you’re almost obligated to give them a happy ending??? or rather—that’s how i would write it. like with the dabi/bonnie & reader/clyde idea, i would set it up so that they both think they’re gonna die at the end of it, that the reader (lowercase) thinks they’re gonna die, that endeavour and rei and the todo siblings (minus Shouto) think they’re gonna die—and then at the end they don’t. one of them—maybe dabi himself, because i think we owe him that chance—tries to pull a stunt that like, lets Reader live, say. maybe he meets up with his perfect baby brother at some stage during the Crime Spree and it’s Shouto who’s like, I can help you. I can help both of you, please let me, and at first Dabi’s furious (how fucking dare this useless squirt of endeavour’s hot fucking snot talk to him like a hero) but then. you know. he gets attached like a chump, or whatever. maybe he sees more of himself in you than he wanted to, or maybe being outside of the careful, clinical surveillance he was under before means he has to confront like—what the point of it all is, you know? he failed in killing his father, his baby brother, himself. he got patched together and now endeavour’s grovelling like a worm for forgiveness Touya doesn’t want to give him, almost (it’s not atonement or forgiveness he wants—he wants the family he should’ve had, the power he should’ve had from birth, perfect and whole). and it’s like—the choice is either go out in a blaze of glory or…. i don’t think he’d even let himself imagine it, LOL. you and him and your fucked up issues like linen in the cupboards of some cute little house with a tidy fence around it? bullshit. pathetic.
(but you patch each other up. and the way you laugh when someone eats shit trying to run during one of your robberies makes him think of his days with the League of Villains—the way everyone was so unrepentative in what they were after, the hurt they wanted to inflict. And yet Toga’s out there somewhere, getting rehabilitated back into society and last Touya heard Spinner was working with heteromorph discrimination programs after a rough recovery—and you could still make it, he thinks in disdain. He’s on his last, last chance but you—you could still have that tiny home, somewhere. The linen cupboards that hold more than the issues that sent you to the same centre he was languishing in. You could still have a future, and later that night when you’re asleep he walks away from the car you’ve traded (stolen) the van in for—and calls his perfect baby brother, who answers the phone silently, waiting.
“You wanna help?” Touya asks, dry. “Then help, Hero.”)

If ask game still open:
AU where Inko is the personal Mary Poppins for Todoroki family
1. This is a Dad for One AU where All for One got in a fight with All Might earlier in canon AND his organization was even more devastated. While he was unconscious, the safeguards he set up to send money to his family failed. Inko had to get a job.
2. Because of AFO's early arrest, he never kidnapped Touya after he burned himself. Touya manifested a phoenix ability and regenerated after burning to ashes, surviving and returning to his family. However nothing got better as Enji was even more desperate to stop his oldest son from training and Touya even more convinced he could become a hero and also pull off the phoenix power again if his father would just give him a chance.
3. After Rei burned Shouto and got sent to the hospital, Enji sought out a nanny. However, the Todoroki children drove off everyone he hired. Touya's just a total brat. Fuyumi has a notion in her head that her mother will come back if she can get rid of all the nannies, and on some level resents them for stealing her perceived job. Natsuo got discriminated against by several caretakers for being quirkless, so he joined in. Shouto is the only good kid.
4. Inko got hired because her husband is listed as having a fire quirk and her son is quirkless, so Enji hoped she'd be able to handle his children's unique needs. He also thinks he can use her economic vulnerability to keep her quiet about anything that happens in his house, but he underestimates her. This Inko is a former villain fully aware of his husband's business. Despite her outwardly sweet demeanor, she used to be an assassin with a kill count in the triple digits. She easily sidesteps every prank the children try to pull on her and destroys every trap they send against her with a smile. Touya is convinced she might be a supernatural creature.
5. Shouto is happy because he just wanted a mom who wouldn’t pour boiling water on his face. This boy’s standards are so low that it’s pathetic his family couldn’t meet them.
6. Izuku moves into the house along with Inko and quickly befriends Shouto. Natsuo bonds with Izuku over them both being quirkless. Izuku hates how hard Endeavor trains Shouto and goes to his mom for help.
7. Inko absolutely verbally eviscerates Endeavor for his lousy training plan that is likely to cripple Shouto or burn him out, then presents a much better training plan. She also scolds Endeavor for giving up on his other two children. She presents a list of creative ways to use Fuyumi's ice quirk to kill, including blood-bending and freezing people's blood in their veins. According to her, why can't Natsuo become a hero even if he's quirkless? Finally, she has a plan for Touya to slowly train his body to adapt to his quirk. By this point Touya has been converted to an Inko fan.
8. But Inko isn't done yet. She also chews Endeavor out for giving up too easily on defeating All Might, then presents him with a detailed list of All Might's weaknesses that she obtained from her husband. (Izuku is appalled at this All Might slander, but Inko is not the biggest fan of the hero who maimed her beloved husband.) Endeavor is convinced and decides to re-devote himself to becoming number one. He allows Inko to train his children instead while he focuses on his own career.
9. Inko takes over training all the Todoroki children into unstoppable badasses. They might or might not become heroes, but no one will ever mess with them. She includes Izuku, training him to become a future quirkless hero. In this AU, Inko is more willing to teach Izuku to fight because they no longer have All for One's protection so she believes he needs to defend himself. Plus her husband failed to look out for them so he doesn't get a say. With Endeavor's backing, Izuku has a real chance at becoming a quirkless hero.
10. Izuku's totally going to get One for All, though. Natsuo can become the first quirkless hero.
