An Older Nico who comes back to the past after wreaking havoc in his original timeline tho.

The guy's nice. He helps them. He's powerful. He's soft for his younger self and he adores Hazel all the same.

But then they see his sword brimming with godly essences; his aura sometimes turns slightly red at the edges. He has a vial of fire - from Hephaestus' forge, Leo said - that he doused Clytius with. A pair of winged shoes enabled him to cut off Cupid's wings after Young Nico's forced to come out. When he brakes off Jason and Percy's fight, he can redirect Jason's bolts and Percy thinks the pearls that the older man uses to defend against his water are familiar. Maybe he saw it in Poseidon's palace.

They're just gifts, he said. But they don't look like it, especially when Annabeth finds a shatter of her mother's shield amongst the future Nico's possession.

It's only much, much later when they realize that those are the takings of his fight against their godly parents where - or when - the older Nico comes from.

It's Transgender Awareness Week!

My favorite not cis characters! The week is meant to celebrate everyone who's not cisgender. That includes non-binary people I believe so I included Nico here. I'm also pretty sure Osana is gender queer. I also headcanon them as intersex cause I don't see intersex representation in anime that much so Osana would be perfect! Please make it canon...

Anyways, if you're trans, enby, gender-fluid, gender queer, or whatever gender identity, you're valid!!! I love you!!!

i forgot how happy, and excited and 10 years old Nico was

he was just a boy, a child, and he lost everything

he felt so alone and abandoned he turnet to monsters for guidance, no wonder he was so easily manipulated

everywhere he went he was treated as an outcast, even percy and annabeth acted shifty around him

tbh noone besides hazel treates him like a normal person until jason

oh and if that wasnt enough on this c h i l d s plate, he was struggiling hlwith his sexuality after he was ripped from time for decades, and was raised in 1930' Italy

edit: i forgot abiut that funny moment where all of the 7 was discussing whether it was worth saving him from certain death

I feel like Percy ultimately falls into the trap that many main characters in shows and books do where they get blamed for every little thing, even though they literally have/had no control over the situation or reacted in a way that, to fans, who sometimes have more knowledge than them, didn't like even though in the moment it makes sense. Don't even get me started on when you start adding side characters, because then that really gets the fandom going on trying to find ways to hate the main character for no reason, it's wild (eg. Alina Starkov, Harry Potter, I could go on!).
