Viking Whale: Ceadeus #shorts #monsterhunter by Azmeross

The bones that absolutely dwarfed Ceadeus in the fight lead up really let the imagination run wild. After Gen 4, pretty much any colossal bones before and after can be attributed to Dalamadur , which I feel like has really sucked a lot of the fun speculation and mystery of the bones ( J.J. Abrams, that's how you do a mystery box ). My inner MH3 fanboy wishes that there was some hint of "oh, that's just the dwarf subspecies, HERE'S A HINT OF AN ABYSSAL-COLOSSUS SUBSPECIES OF CEADEUS" I'll also say: MH may have the aesthetics of hunter-gatherer communities, but of the games I've played, MH3 is the one with the most indigenous fibre to it's being. Ceadeus captured that fibre, as well as the essence of single player MH3. The stakes were smaller, but more intimate. Moga really felt like your whole world, even with multiplayer and the Wyverian traders being there. So when the Legiacrus was slain, but the island was still in danger, it really felt like you were going to save the world from peril even if that world didn't extend beyond your immediate community. Then, when it came time to slay the world-ender, you spared it, and the two of parted ways amicably, with the Ceadeus doing a breach. It wasn't just reverence that the game gave to Whale-God, it was respect. (Tumblr Add on from here): It's a shame, then, that Monster Hunter World is a celebration of the colonisation of "untouched virgin land", that (I think?) Monster Hunter Wilds is a continuation of.

What are your favorite and least favorite boss fights from each Batman Arkham game?

Fave boss is definitely Freeze in Arkham City because it’s a genuinely engaging fight where you rely on the environment and your gadgets to successfully take down Freeze bit by bit. From electrocuting him to lower his suit’s defenses, to taking him down by surprise by hiding in the vents, to using the vantage points to glide down and attack him, to using detonators to stun him to even smashing the Nora sculptures he has to anger him (Victor, I know your desperate for a cure for your wife and she’s been captured but that’s a bit weird. I personally didn’t smash the sculptures cos I love my ice husbando too much)

But what’s better is that Freeze stops you performing the same methods like freezing the vents so you can’t surprise attack or sending heat tracking sensors to track your movements so you can’t hide in one point, so you have to use different methods to taken him down

I don’t think there’s any other boss fight in the trilogy that has this level of strategy and resourcefulness.

Also side note: Freeze’s design, his robotic voice, and his dialogue makes me go:

In terms of less fave fight, it’s got to be the Poison Ivy fight in Arkham Asylum. Not only do I hate the idea of fighting Ivy at all (srsly why do they always portray a botanist as an evil sexy plant lady), but the fact that you only have a small arena to move around whilst fighting a giant flower that Ivy has submerged herself in and you have to aim your batarangs at perfect timing to hit the weak spot but you also have to run constantly cos the flower also spits out acid spores that take chunks off your health. So you have to awkwardly time and throw your batarangs whilst also run around to avoid the spores.

There’s also the hypnotised guards Ivy summons to distract you WHILST COVERING HALF THE TINY ARENA YOUR ON INTO WAVES OF VINES THATLL EASILY KILL YOU IF YOU DONT AVOID THEM AS WELL. And if you’re not careful fighting the guards you can end up in the wave of deadly vines anyway so the arena’s already small enough. And you can’t lure the guards to the vines cos they’ll just toss around a bit then once the waves are gone, they fight you again. Oh and you have to defeat the flower twice in order to win

Ugh it’s a nightmare!!

Cala Maria from the Cuphead series.

I actually drew this awhile ago but I kept restarting this like three times as I just didn't like how it was looking. I decided to tried one more time with this picture and surprisingly, I managed to finished this really quickly.

Cala Maria is one of my favorite bosses in the game and I really love her interpretation in the Cuphead Show. So, I’m happy how this turn out.

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.

what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.

you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.

I hate this boss. I just barely managed to beat him. Only had my healer left. I just got lucky with poison I stacked on him.

I'm glad that they fixed the opening to the second phase. Because that was the definition of unfair
