no hate to this sender but hey can folks not message me about this any more? every time I hear about this character my heart sinks into a black abyss and it's not! great! for me! I have the tags blocked but I can't stop anyone from messaging me about this asides from like. asking. I have been receiving regular hate mail from 'fans' of this series since I had the temerity to point out their similarities and I now am in perpetual fear of not only having a deeply personal character stolen from me, but of being cancelled by something I only learned of a week ago having worked on my own for the past 12 years.

i understand where people are coming from when they say spike was shitty to luigi but like i'm gonna be real i do not think he was a bad boss to luigi specifically 💀 i feel like people are ignoring how much more of a dick he was to mario than luigi honestly like i dont think they both quit solely because of how he treated luigi

#talk tag #not to say he was nice to luigi but like calling him an idiot vs grabbing mario and telling him he'll never amount to anything and throwing #-him to the floor #and like almost hitting him with his car and then grabbing him and yelling at HIM for 'almost denting his van' or whatever #in my heart m&l both worked for him but then luigi quit and mario stayed with the company for longer out of like. real winners DON'T quit #hashtag unhealthy work mindset and believing that if you work hard enough things will get better #mario is a character who is prone to overworking himself just trust me. luigi is much more of a real winners quit guy #anyways rambling aside all of this to say that spike was also probably bad to mario and i'm kind of annoyed of seeing so much of like #'they both quit because luigi was being treated poorly and mario is overprotective and luigi just would never have quit without him'#idk #i think i just have really specific characterization for them + i didnt even know luigi was playable in the wrecking crew series until like #very recently #so to me spike being a bad boss has always been a thing like. mario specific to me #my timeline is like 'they both work at wrecking crew' -> 'mario works at wrecking crew and luigi does a lot of freelance work' ->#'mario quits and they both start their plumbing company'

this post was the catalyst for this comic, and i was also thinking of a desi song lyric (tere dil ke sheher mein ghar mera ho gaya / in the city of your heart, my home is made) and just... hmmm.... leaving your mark.... making a house into a home..... when the marks a child inevitably leaves behind (messes, scribbles, and in this case stickers) eventually fade away as they grow older and you're left with the memories stored in what hasn't been erased....

Okay, without trying to take away from the joy we are feeling, we must stay vigilant. This ceasefire deal is 3 phases, the first is a 42 day pause for hostage exchange which is set to start on SUNDAY, as long as Netanyahu’s cabinet signs off on it. The IOF is not expected to fully retreat from Gaza, but stay to ‘mandated zones’. Palestinians are meant to be able to return to their homes, but with Israeli soldiers still there, this is not a guarantee. The 600 aid trucks a day into Gaza during this 42 day phase 1 is still not enough.

THIS IS NOT OVER. We do not know the details of phase 2 and 3, and nothing has been agreed for these phases in writing. We must not get complacent in this moment of respite. Please, do not stop fighting. This is not over until every Palestinian can return home, until the occupation is gone, until all of Palestine is free.

Keep protesting and campaigning, keep donating because aid organisations need all the help they can get, especially in the next 6 weeks, and it might be the only window people get to evacuate. This is a step in the right direction, but it is not over.
