I am normal#WHICH SPEAKING OF! man I love the sholmes + mikotoba partner twist so much even if i got a bit spoiled about it. i just think they're neat.#The partners of all time I think.#Also also the found family!?!?!? I am A SUCKER for found family. they fed me so well.#funny thing was the barok character development surprised me despite the fact that I also expected it since the first game lolol.#I do think he's an interesting character and probably one of the best character development in the game. And that I find his design cool.#oh yeah I didn't draw it but when I saw that albert mentioned that barok is “the darling of the van zieks family” I was genuinely like.#huh? wdym. like man at the time “van zieks” and “little darling” feels wrong in the same sentence. that was until I saw his pre-#-trauma pictures n well. albert isn't wrong. which was a slight surprise to me.#In conclusion: I liked it a lot. and now occupies parts of my brain along with my other brainrots.#They fight for priority in my brain whenever I try to sleep or disassociate lol. #im so sorry my fellow robot enjoyers#this just Was Not it for me#i have so many thoughts about this show and idk how to really convey them properly#there were obviously some very cool concepts but with a lot of the deeper themes of the show#i just felt like there were Other animes that handled tjose ideas better (rgu and lain for example)#look i know the ending is Infamously weird but like forget abstract#it felt Unsatisfying given how much we’ve come to see these characters grow and understand their feelings#we’re just left not really knowing the fates of Every character except for shinji and asuka?????#and good god almighty do Not get me started om the fanservice i dont wanna hear ‘but thats how 90s anime was!!!’#rgu was a 1997 anime directly about the sexualization and exploitation of young girls and they NEVER went to fanservice like That#honestly between this and flcl i just. dont think hideaki anno’s works are for me#i really wanted to like both of those animes and i just. could not get behind em#sad 😔

#my little fellow isn't exactly a security guy#he's hardly the strongest fighter in the splatoon either#- he uses lot of weapons but that just makes him versatile not *strong* necessarily#so i wonder how parallel canon would work?#maybe it's because of data pulled from people's perception of him - the main people order would draw from would be from:#marina (who knows the guy as a strong agent who was able to beat octavio at a young age)#and andy (who also views him as strong - he was the reason she heard the inkantation#so it'd make sense she holds him in a high regard)#in that case it makes sense for him to be portrayed in this data as someone who'd be a good fighter - useful for defending the tower perhaps#also on 'beacon uses a lot of weapons' - i think it'd be very fun if as parallel canon he reflected whatever weapon andy has currently#that would be very cool#anyway this has been agent 4 thoughts with me. goodbye#(ocs) aphotic zone#oh hey it's vessel#splatoon#agent 4

JAAAY!! LIKE VIDEO GAMES!!! daily "i wanna get back into cosplay but i'm gonna look so bad and no one will recognize who i'm supposed to be and it's gonna fit all awkward so what's the point" time
#like excuse me for the internalized fatphobia i'm gonna deliver here#but. as nice as it is to see ppl say anyone can cosplay#if you're fat you WILL be treated differently. both in cons and online#unless your cosplay is 100% perfect and accurate and sits perfectly on you. and the character is already not too skinny#speaking from my own experience and from seeing fellow fat cosplayers in the past#bestie said we can do casual cosplay aka characters in regular clothes that they might wear#but it is. very detached from reality. this isn't really smth i can do and actually call cosplay. it's just putting on a wig#which skinny ppl can get away with but not us#i was in casts where i put a lot of effort into my costume and pics etc and barely anyone recognized it#while others in the cast did this casual cosplay sort of thing and ppl still got them. bc well they're shaped like the character ig#it's very disheartening and one of the reasons i stopped doing it really#i loved doing it but after having other bad experiences in events too it felt like the price and time aren't justified#and it always felt pointless to put in more effort when ik i won't look good in it anyway#or at least. won't look anything like the character no matter how hard i try 🥲#but now that i'm into smth with cool designs that makes me wanna get back into it#and now that i actually started planning stuff and checked prices etc#i'm once again sad abt it. which is why i'm having second thoughts. bc is it worth it#i dunno. sorry for the ramble. hope the generalization isn't hurtful i'm just giving my own view and feelings on the matter#if you're a fat cosplayer i hope no one is ever mean to you about it ever and i hope you keep doing it

So I’ve brought up my femboy maid outfit a few times on this blog because none of you people know who I am irl, but the friends who know of it in real life are sworn to secrecy about it. However, one of them is really bad at this. I’m now beginning to accept that him fucking up and accidentally telling them about it is the official signal that they’re now in the close friend group. Whenever he mentions it it’s because he forgot they didn’t already know, and everyone he’s brought it up to are people who I also kind of forget don’t already know about it, so for now it’s cool. And it’s also funny every time it gets brought up because he lets it slip in passing, and then there’s a brief moment of realization where either one of those who don’t know questions it followed by a moment of intense albeit comical “OH NO,” followed by a very humorous explanation. It’s a laugh riot.
Then there’s the other friend. She only let it slip to one person, but I don’t talk to that person enough to know if I trust her on it. So far none of her friends have brought it up to me and neither has she, so she’s probably fine actually and I just panicked at the time but still. Also, one of the earliest conversations I had with her was about how she was icked by seeing her ex wearing “a maid outfit and cat ears” on his instagram. She was one of two people who I said could never under any circumstances know about this dress because of that story, and now she knows full damn well that I, much like that dude, own a maid dress and cat ears and have worn it not once, but TWICE!! ALSO I WASN’T EVEN THERE WHEN SHE FOUND OUT!!! I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT WAS SAID!!! I’m probably concerned over nothing! There seems to be a mutual agreement among those who are friends with her that she’s entirely forgotten by now, and she certainly hasn’t been acting weird to me about it, so that’s nice. She’s actually been acting pretty cool! BUT STILL!! AAAAH!!!
Oh also the two people who found out tonight said I looked good in it after being shown pictures, so that was a huge W for me. I knew I looked good in that dress.

Just the faction with the LARGEST TRANS FANBASE IN THE SETTING#I know all of these are just stereotypes#but I have given transness consideration and while I still feel cool with the male gender (like I’m not married to the thing but it works)#I’m still not certain! And if it turns out I am trans I’m gonna very suddenly fit a lot of stereotypes and I’m gonna be mad about it#Also because there’s no easy feminine equivalent to my name#which is a name I happen to quite like and which I think suits me well#That name would not easily be replaced#Maybe I’d just keep it honestly. Why not? Gender is a construct and so are the names associated with them.#And my name’s not actually that common! Most people I know only know one guy with that name and it’s me!#It’d be a shame to leave my fellows behind with lower numbers#Like if I do change it I gotta give that name to my kid when/if I have one of those because it’s pretty solid and kinda underrated tbh#This is an aggressively 3 a.m. for me post Jesus Christ#Alright anyway see y’all and goodnight#rambling about nothing
