She never really noticed you around spooky high, well, until she did. She saw you around either the library or the field, usually surrounded by a small group. When one of those people got on her nerves, she decided to reign hell on everybody associated with them.

She got everybody except you. There was no information on you since you didn't go around telling people anything, your social media history was either bare, uninteresting or somehow hidden from her and she never saw you do anything noteworthy. You were completely reserved.

She finally decided to talk to you head on when she realized that she wasn't getting the results she wanted with just observing, so she interrupted you when you where buying something from Valerie's store.

She starting asking what your deal was, trying to make accusations at you to finally hit a nail in the coffin, but none of that was working. You just gave her a blank, calm stare. But then, you decided to give her something that she might want more instead.

Since you're so quiet around everybody else, nobody notices you, you get all the details on the juicy stuff everybody is talking about. So you tell everything she might want to hear to her to try to get her to leave you alone, because you have some of your own secrets that you don't want her pushing into.

She likes how you aren't immediately afraid of her, how you can keep level headed and how you are willing to rat out your classmates too her. She doesn't have time to focus on EVERYTHING, so she keeps you around.

Now you're basically Vera's hub for blackmail information because nobody would be caught DEAD spilling their secrets in front of Vera. She has too much power.

You are also basically immune from Vera's wrath. If you stay on her good side that is.

The more you two hang out (Basically you telling her things that can be used as blackmail.) The more you start to warm up to her. You never really had somebody be this interested in you, especially somebody this socially powerful. You stop acting reserved around her, starting to show your real personality.

She notices the change quickly, but doesn't make any comments about it. She is starting to warm up to you too, but still convinces herself that she only keeps you around so that she has extra ears out on the school.

Her snakes begin to warm up to you too. You fed it a piece of your lunch one time (with permission) and it nuzzled up to you afterwards. Vera was embarrassed about that, but she would never let you know it.

The other charismatic classmates know of your existence now because they all see you with her, but they never really dig deeper into it because she tells them that you're just an asset.

The only person who doesn't believe that is Polly, which is determined to figure out who you are to Vera. Whenever she remembers you're existence, she goes to find and talk to you, but she either never finds you, or you only respond with one word answers which kills her mood. So she gives up.

Vera loves how you being reserved around other people is a way bigger advantage than she first realizes, demonstrated with the Polly situation. She used to confuse your quietness for shyness and label it as a weakness, but the more she gets to know you, the more she realizes that you're just in tune with your surroundings.

You know Vera fully is comfortable around you when she starts spoiling you. Her love language is gift-giving 100%, and she wants to let you know how helpful you have been. She disguises it as a completely transactional thing, but deep down, you know she has a thing for you ;)

Damien:

-Thinks you’re adorable.

-Already thinks you’re pretty badass- but doesn’t try to stop you from showing off.

-Actually, he probably joins in!

-Fistfighting someone to assert dominance? Bam, you don’t have to worry about being outnumbered because your spicy red baby’s got your back!

-if you call him that- your spicy red baby, he kinda just smirks a bit. “Uh-huh, alright. Sure.” 

-HE TOTALLY PICKS YOU UP LIKE YOU’RE A CAT HSKSNSKN- YOU KNOW THE LONG CAT MEME?? YEAH HE PICKS YOU UP LIKE THAT-

-May playfully tease you a bit about your height and you being a runt, but the sECOND someone says something remotely bad about it he’s like ‘haha no’

-You know that picture of the large dogs in ikea bags that have holes cut out for their legs so they can be taken on transit? Yeah he tried to do that once.

-Claw and fur care nights? Claw and fur care nights. 

-I can imagine him walking over to your place, stepping through the door, looking at you and just going dead silent. Pulling out the hairbrush slowly.

-…This ends with you sitting in his lap as he tends to your fur and gives you many, *many* tips on how to maintain it. 

-Depending how you two’s dynamic is, I can see these self care nights either being a sort of “secret” between you two (which, it’s spooky high. I figure things ain’t gonna be secret for long.), it being treated like an inside joke (aka you teasing him and Damien vehemently denying it), or no one really believes it outside of Damien’s friend group.

-You do… a lot of things to prove yourself.

-Climbing tall things, fighting, talking back to that one teacher… 

-It’s fun to watch, but Damien gets worried about you.

-100% stays with you on full moons. 

-He *is* going to try to pet you when you’re fully Wolf. Do not try to stop him. It’s pointless. He is determined to pet you at least once.

Vera:

-Thinks it’s cute how defensive you get over your height when she teases you.

-She May tease you, yes, but it never goes beyond teasing, despite how her word choice and tone may come off. Though, before dating, you figured out that that’s… sort of just how she speaks.

-She’s got the opposite of fur, so she doesn’t know much about fur care, but you know who does? Valerie. So she ends up asking her sister about fur care. If mentioned in public, her cheeks will go slightly pink, and she’ll say something about how being presentable is important. (Don’t be fooled- she actually cares a whole lot about you, and wants to make sure you’re taken care of. …Also, she’s heard Valerie cussing up a storm in the washroom before over her fur, so…)

-probably has gifted you high end fur-care stuff.

-Will scratch behind your ears without fear. To others it may look slightly menacing when you’re in wolf form, but you’re feeling allllllll the affection and love. 

-A little scritch behind the ears when you’re in wolf form is one of the only ways Vera will show affection in public, since I admittedly hc her not to be super into PDA

-The way that you perk up and your tail wags when you see her always makes her smile a little. Honestly, she won’t say it out loud due to her pride, but it makes her happy.

-Carries around something you can chew on in case you need it. She’s a gorgon, and she’s got snakes, she understands the need to bite things, and she won’t judge you in the slightest.

-if you’re shorter than her? Oh she definitely picks you up occasionally.

-pets, head scritches, and belly rubs when you’re in wolf form and you’re both in private? Yes.

-In private together, she finds herself combing her fingers through your hair. She enjoys the feeling. It’s very soft. A feeling that’s different from the scales and snakes.

-If you plan to fight someone and tell her ahead of time? She’ll absolutely gather blackmail and other dirt on them to assist you on the more… psychological side of warfare.

-She’s very cunning and sly, and knows what to do.

-I will not lie, Valerie probably saw you guys getting together coming from miles away lol and did she bet on it? …perhaps. 

-If you’re the type to go a tad… berserk, perhaps even… crazy on full moons, you bet she’ll have a room ready for that.

-Vera’s snakes reaching over to lay on you because you’re warm due to the fur isn’t a odd occurance. At first, Vera was embarrassed, and a tad annoyed at her snakes developing this habit because it made her look soft, then, one time, when you two were alone, she tried it, and… well, now she tends to lean into you for warmth during cuddles too.

-…You’re sworn to absolute secrecy about this, and I mean absolute, but she actually has fallen asleep on you a couple of times while cuddling. Between managing Oberlin enterprises and it’s many venues, school, and… other things, it’s not surprising she’s fallen right asleep on you before.

You have to be playing with her. She doesn't believe for a second that you don't know what she's conveying. Sure she's much more subtle about it than others but come on now.

She has stopped being as subtle and being more direct. She. Wants. To. Date. You. What are you not understanding?!

Vera just gets so irritated and frustrated that you're not picking up on anything. She definitely takes it out on some of the others so she doesn't end up strangling you.

It's you that goes to her and says that you're attracted to her and she just gives you a deadpan look. Just "Are you serious?" She's been trying to flirt with you for months and-- you know what, no forget it.

Aight so good boi was sitting at lunch with Damien and Miranda, listening to them argue about which Ice Cream Wizard flavor is the best

You're on your way to sit down with your tray of... Something resembling food when Scott waves you over

You can see his tail is wagging 1000 miles per hour

So obviously you sit next to him

Soon, you're in your own conversation, which gets Scott excited, which means he got loud, which means Damien had to yell at him because he couldn't hear his own argument over the noise of the cafeteria and you guys

In his words, "Shut the fuck up and get a room so I can hear my own conversation!"

So you guys left the place and went outside

Now, you thought nothing of it because that's just how Damien is

Scott, however, was feeling kind of sad that his best friend kicked him out

So you console him

And in between those tears he starts talking about how much he appreciates you

Which makes you smile and give him a lil kiss on the forehead

Which makes his tail go haywire

And he has this "oh shit" moment where he realized he might like like you

Of course he tells you right then and there because baby has no control

He gets so caught up in his own excitement that he accidentally licks your face

Y'all know exactly what's going down here so prepare yourselves

His standards are basically "If you can't imagine them throwing a Molotov Cocktail, they're not the one"

Which is quite convinient because you guys just so happened to be commiting arson on a fine night

You know, simple friendship stuff

All was well till you spotted your ex-best-friend's house

By god she was a bitch, so you have Damien pull over and you both start dousing the house with gasoline

He knows how much this means to you so he pulls out and almost finishes a tequila bottle and stuffs a piece of cloth in it, which he then hands to you

You hold it up so he can light it with his fire demon magic and then yeet that thing at the house

He thought it was insanely hot and attractive

After a wild night of arson, arson, and more arson, also a bit of reflecting on his part, he ends up driving you home to your apartment

Now, he thinks love is the most epic thing in the world, and it kind of scares him

So as you unlocked the door to your apartment, he decided to get out of the car and smash his face against yours in a very passionate kiss

"I need you to know that what you did back there was very sexy and I also kind of think I'm in love with you."

You're absolutely shocked because wow you thought y'all were just friends

But apparently!! Not!!! So you kiss him back and tell him to pick you up tomorrow at 6pm

And lemme tell you this boy is cheering in his car on his way home

This girl knows what she wants and she gets what she wants

One day you're running an errand for her

Idk it could be getting her a waterbottle, it could be commiting 1st degree murder who knows

So on your way back, you decide "Hey, I like her, I want her to like me like I like her, I'm gonna go get something for her."

You decided to get her a really nice green headscarf to match her snakes (don't ask where Valerie got it from, she'll never tell you and I don't think you want to know)

As you meet Vera outside school, you present her with her gift

Vera is known to be a mean, ruthless gorgon with a sense of class, so she'd never accept a simple headscarf from a commoner, right?

Wrong. She accepts it wholeheartedly because she's been thinking about getting one for herself and it's actually pretty nice

She won't say it's nice, but she does think so

And she realizes that maybe, you are a pretty good friend, and maybe, she thinks you might be more to her

She needs time to think on this, and how it'll impact her and her goals

A month or so later, she's asking - no - demanding that you treat her to dinner

She's not great with talking about love feelings so bare with her

What do you think Vera would do if she finds out her S/O was hiding the fact they were homeless from her?

The whole situation coming to light is a lot to unpack for Vera.

For one, the whole thing catches her off-guard. You’d have to be pretty clever to genuinely fool Vera Oberlin, of all monsters. She’d mostly be shocked.

As for the homelessness part, that surprises her even more. It’s one of her worst fears, but to find out her S/O has been living through that all this time? It’s a little heartbreaking for her.

And altogether, she can’t understand why they’d lie about this. Was it because of money? Did her S/O lied because they thought she’d turn them away for being penniless? This question sort of festers in her mind, because a part of her thinks that might’ve been the case at some point.

But now, Vera’s a mature woman. Once the emotions have settled, she’d have a long talk about them, and reevaluate her stance on money.

Of course, it’s only natural she’d offer to give them a place to stay when all is said and done.

the vera locker request was so good.. could i request perhaps a small series of similar situations where vera leaves the reader a flustered mess 👀 and if the reader could be a girl that would be great! useless lesbian time

(A/N): I couldn’t think of multiple scenarios. I’m not used to writing steamy kind of stuff, so my mind was empty for days, but I managed to come up with this thing? So I hope that will be enough to make you happy? If you do want more though, I would recommend giving me some scenarios to work with because it’s really hard for me to come up with them. Anyway, enjoy!

Your fingers tighten their grip on the desk she’s trapping you against, her tongue roughly pressing against yours while one of her hands holds the back of your head. You give out a gasp when one of her snakes suddenly bites into your neck, giving her more room to explore in your mouth as you feel your cheeks heat up. You start trembling under all this attention, your hands hesitantly grabbing the purple cloth of her coat in an attempt to pull her closer. Her lips stretch out against yours at your action, your stomach twirling at the sound of her chuckle. You can’t help but let out a moan when she moves her hands to your waist, dangerously threatening to go over your shirt.

“Shh.” She slightly parts away to tell you this, her tongue licking the saliva off your lips as she looks into your eyes. “We gotta be quiet. Don’t want anyone to look in the classroom, right?”

“Aah…” You feel embarrassed that this is all you could come up with as a response, the tip of your fingers tingling from the swirls of emotions you’re feeling inside. “I… I guess ‘no’?”

A glint appears in her eyes as she cups your cheek, one of her snake licking a weak spot on your neck and making your breath get stuck in your throat. “Good girl.”

Another moan dies in your throat as she grabs your lips with hers, those words lingering in your mind and making your legs press tighter together. You tense up when her hands move down from your waist to get to your thigh, slowly pushing your legs apart so that she can get even closer. 

You manage to part away for a small moment. “V-Vera-”

You get cut off by the school bell ringing, her eyes looking away from your face to send an annoyed look at the classroom’s door entrance. She moves away from you and takes her lipstick out of her purse just as a few people walk in, your face getting even redder when a few weird stares are sent your way.

“Well…” Vera finishes reapplying her lipstick, giving you a grin. “That was fun. Too bad it cut off short.”

You open and close your mouth a few times. “I-I… w-well-”

“Aren’t you just adorable?” You squeal when she gives your cheek a peck, feeling the mark of her lipstick on it as she walks away. “I’ll see you at lunch.”

The wink she sends you on her way out is enough to make you sit down at your assigned seat, no longer being able to feel your legs.

General Dating Headcanons

Miranda:

I,,,, sincerely hope you don’t have pet birds. If you do she’s gonna be constantly giving them shady looks.

Regardless, she loves to spoil you with almost anything you could want! She has all the money she could need, and she absolutely loves buying you new outfits!

You forgot to do your homework?? No problem!! Her serfs will do it for you. Her serfs will do anything for you. She demands it.

As long as you’re okay with it, she’ll probably be holding your hand constantly. Very cuddly and protective.

Will text you at midnight asking if you want to go swimming with her. She somehow always get you to say yes, but it's always super fun despite how tired you are the next day.

Damien:

He gets jealous easily, but is actually surprisingly laid back about you being around others even if they try to flirt with you (or if he thinks they're trying to flirt anyways). If he notices someone flirting with you, he’ll pay close attention to the conversation and your body language so he can step in if you're uncomfortable, but trusts you to not flirt back, yanno?

He gives you his jacket when you first start dating so people get the hint you're a couple pretty quickly. He wants his jacket back tho please return it.

Walks you to class and usually has his tail wrapped around your wrist or leg. You're pretty sure he doesn't even know he does that tbh.

He plays with your hair a lot regardless of its length or style. Which is sometimes relaxing but other times has you sitting there in fear just praying that he doesn't accidentally light your hair on fire.

Will cry while watching emotional sappy movies with you but immediately puts on a horror movie and laughs through it. He gives you whiplash I stg.

Scott:

Whenever he sees you his tail just starts waggin at light speed.

Everyone knows that he likes being pet and getting bellyrubs because of his wolf qualities, but sometimes he subconsciously pets you back?? He just kinda thinks “well I like this and it makes me feel appreciated so I'll show you affection in the same way!!”

If you speak another language he can catch onto it surprisingly quickly, and if you don't know another language hell probably try to convince you to learn one with him. He needs something he can focus on learning while being interested in it, and I feel like languages fit that pretty well??

Would absolutely LOVE to work out with you!! Any sport of your choice!!! He’s just a simple man who loves some good old sportball!!!!

Assuming he’s taller than you (which is probable since he's pretty tall), be prepared to be picked up into the best bear hug of your life.

Liam:

He’s the kinda man who will be so dedicated to taking aesthetic pics of you that he gets his knees locked in an uncomfortable position for those Good Angles.

He’s not too big into PDA, but he constantly shows other romantic gestures. Like memorizing your favorite foods and bringing it into school for you, leaving sticky notes with cute poems in your locker, and resting a hand on the small of your back if he notices you are uncomfortable in a conversation.

Will draw you a lot for art practice as long as you give your okay, and loves to sit and draw with you or teach you some drawing basics.

Her snakes actually like you after a while, and they'll his at anyone who is rude to you in any way shape or form.

Will make sure you are constantly feeling and looking your best, because you are the best. No arguments.

Takes you on very extravagant dinner dates or on a mission to assassinate a rival company. No in between.

Kisses the back of your hand a lot? She's not too big on PDA but she’ll constantly kiss the back of your hands when she's able to.
