the key to meat substitutes is not to try as hard as possible to make it taste like real meat but to make it taste good and have a good texture. some companies do not seem to understand this

#one thing about me is there are many opinions i have on meat substitutes due to growing up adventist and vegetarian #impossible/beyond products want what gardein has #loma linda can go either way...some of their hot dog shaped things are great while others that look identical are so bad #btw limp stripples>crunchy ones. i am correct about this #OH and please for the love of god stop trying to make egg or meat like things out of tofu she deserves more respect than that #anyway just ate a bunch of lackluster objects called f'sh filets. would have been better air fried i think #me

#ik a lot of these arent like #yk. i could be way more cost efficient and get cheaper food. but tbqh ive been sad lately and i miss home so i have 2 have foods that #remind me.of.home.. and that means great value fiesta blend cheese.#but the meals r. bacon egg and rice (we have eggs i believe) for a cute flirty thang. beef stew and rice which is good dinners. hot dog #w chili Of course... white bread for my sandwiches and my hotdogs I should proooobably get 2 loafs actually. since ill be going crazy #sandiwhc mode...#ohh would it be too self jndulgent to get myself salami and.pepperoni.. There’s a hot dog restaurant near me and I’ve been there a bunch but this is the first time I noticed this on the ceiling lmfao

Feeling like a True American because I ate a (vegan) Chicago dog from a legit hot dog stand IN Chicago and actually liked it a lot.

#I've been a vegetarian most of my life so this kind of experience is very rare #plus whether meat or veggie hot dogs are pretty gross #but the toppings made ot hard to even taste the dog so it was good #stuff you probably don't want to know but i'm telling you anyway #my stuff

I think that if you can't accommodate someone's dietary restrictions for a little get together, don't word it like it's a tremendous financial burden when you're inviting them. Either don't invite them or just say "sorry we don't have x, there's gonna be y too tho"
