I was looking at Klarion's design,
And started comparing it to Vlad's ghost form. Corpse pale (sometimes blue tinted)? Yep. Horn-hair? Yep. Red eyes? Yep. Cat? Yep. Eyeliner? Also yep. Suit? What do you know. Fire? Yeeep.
So anyway, what I'm saying is Klarion as de-aged Vlad raised by the chaos-lovers that is the Dannys & the rest of the team.

My brother brought my mum and me along with one of my nephews to Andy’s Grill Express near where he was staying. The stall’s front is pretty narrow that it had to display the menu on the side wall. We went for their Super Combo Deal as it offered the best value. Ordered freshly squeezed Orange and Watermelon Juices to quench the thirst.

My nephew and I had Ribeye Steaks (2 for S$22) which is served on top of a bed of fries and crispy salad and drizzled in brown gravy. While it isn’t the best ribeye I had, it was juicy and tender plus the portion was big.

Mum and my brother went for the Fish & Chips (2 for S$14.90). It came with the same sides of fries and salad plus a squeeze of tartar sauce on the side. Mum gave me a piece of the fish which was well seasoned and crispy.

i Love grocery stores that have a little section for discounted items that will hit their expiration date soon. not only because i love the incentive to lessen food waste, but because i really struggle to come up with What specifically to make for dinner every single day and it's a great little gacha game. i will be inspired to try ingredients i haven't used much before or that are usually a little too 'spensive for my usual habits. i just think it's good

I've added English subtitles to a video for the calçots sauce recipe.
Calçots sauce (in Catalan called "salsa de calçots") is one of the variants of the sauce called "salvitxada". It's one of the most popular sauces of Catalan cuisine, which we eat with meat, fish, vegetables and salads (or even just to dip bread 🤭). In the particular case of "salsa de calçots", it's when it's made to go with calçots (long sweeter spring onions cooked by roasting them on embers).
Personally, I love this sauce. Each family makes it a bit different, with a slightly different amount of each ingredient, and some may add a little bit of toasted bread and a little bit of parsley to the mix. So don't worry if you would rather change the quantities a little bit (but not too much, you don't want this to be a tomato sauce, for example).

Garden Update - 11/21/2024: pepper harvest

since it may or may not frost tonight, I decided to cut down all the peppers and harvest everything that was left, about 4.5 gallons of pure peppers!
I didn't realize when I was planting them how similar unripe Txorixero peppers look compared to Big Jim peppers, so unfortunately those two are intermingled. Regardless, there were some real honkers. Looking forward to making a few different hot sauces with these, using some of my own garlic and herbs as well.
