WIP Wednesday (1/8) | Vampire Andrew AU (Part 204)

By the time they arrive at Eden's, Andrew's withdrawal has mostly subsided and he feels mostly normal again. Well, as normal as he ever feels. The music inside is sure to give him a headache, but he's willing to risk it if it means getting answers out of Neil tonight. And he's going to. One way or another. Even if he has to reveal his fangs and threaten Neil's life, he's going to figure him out.

When Nicky drops them at the sidewalk, Andrew leads the way inside and pushes through the crowd until they find a table. Then Neil follows him up to the bar to order drinks. Roland makes eyes at Andrew and grins when he sees Neil. His thoughts flitter between "Poor bastard has no idea what's going on" (directed at Neil) and "Goddamn that shirt looks good" (directed at Andrew's chest).

Roland doesn't know. He hasn't got a clue in the world, about many things. But he definitely doesn't know Andrew is a vampire and Andrew plans to keep it that way forever. His condition is a private one, something he only shares with people he shares blood with. And of course, scared gorgeous men with broken hands who need a protector. And Kevin is the only one of those he's found wandering around so...

"Come find me if you want anything else," Roland says with a wink that means he's available to take his dick out whenever Andrew's ready. Andrew levels a look at him and turns to take their drinks back to the table. He hears the others before he can see them, they're discussing whether Neil will try to fight his way out of the club.

They all clam up when they see Neil parting the crowd for Andrew. Nicky smiles and, over the noise, says, "Hey Neil, how do you like it so far?"

"I don't." Neil says, miserably taking a seat. Andrew slides the tray onto the table and everyone takes a glass. Andrew takes Neil's soda and places it in front of him.

"You really don't drink." Nicky says, booing as Neil takes a sip of Pepsi or Coke or whatever Roland poured him. Neil shrugs, evidently not offended. When Andrew pulls out the rest of the cracker dust, Neil gives him a look.

"Care for a hit?"

"Drugs are stupid."

"Oh, my poor medicated feelings." Andrew passes the bags around the table and pours one into his mouth. The sugary-salt hits his tongue and Andrew follows it with a sip of whiskey. It burns all the way down and the feeling sort of reminds him of how it feels to drink Kevin. "Bottoms up, Neil. We're celebrating."

"Celebrating what?" Neil asks, confused.

"You survived your first week with the team." Kevin says from Andrew's side.

"Hooray." Neil says flatly, then he takes a longer drink from his soda. It's on this sip he realizes something is wrong. Andrew doesn't have to read his mind to catch his reaction. Neil's eyes go wide and he slams his glass down on the table before starting to stand up. But Andrew's prepared for that. He grabs Neil around the back of the neck and shoves him back into his seat.

Neil looks at him with those huge startled eyes, they change color with the strobe lights, and sputters out a, "Wh-what did you do?"

"Gave Roland a tip." Andrew says, holding Neil in place. The little bastard grabs for Andrew's wrist and tries to pry him off, but Andrew is far stronger. He presses Neil's face against the tabletop. "Be good, Neil. We're not going to hurt you too bad."

"Fuck you, let go of me. I'll scream." Neil threatens. And Andrew laughs.

"Scream all you want, I don't mind. If anyone asks I'll tell them you can't hold your cracker dust." Andrew tells him and Neil struggles again, trying to get away. "Neil, Neil, be still. You're fine. It hasn't even hit your bloodstream yet."

"Fuck you." Neil says again. Really creative, this one. Andrew lets go of him and Neil immediately lurches up trying to get his hands on Andrew, but the vampire merely sidesteps him. A moment later Aaron is kicking Neil's feet out from under him.

"I'll come find you in a minute," Andrew promises as his twin hauls Neil off the ground. He and Nicky loop their arms around Neil's and drag him off towards the dance floor. Roland was right, poor bastard. Andrew sits back down beside Kevin, who's watching with a grimace as Neil tries to bite Aaron's shoulder as a last resort.

"Hopefully he doesn't give your brother rabies," Kevin says into his glass. And Andrew laughs again.

"You're in a good mood."

"I am not," Kevin declares, though his expression deceives him. "I just can't wait to find out what the hell his deal is."

"You and me both." Andrew takes Kevin's glass from him and finishes it. The human pouts at that, so Andrew stands and grabs the tray. When he gets back with their second round of drinks, Nicky and Aaron have returned sans Neil.

"We dumped him on the dance floor. He'll be losing his mind out there within a few minutes." Aaron says as he grabs a shot. "He's probably ready for you by now, actually. He was turning liquid by the time we got him to the steps; we almost dropped him."

Nicky covers a laugh with his hand. "He's cute though, I'm sure someone will take pity and hold him up. I offered but he clawed a hole in my arm as soon as Aaron let him go." Nicky holds up his arm to show off his wound, a three inch long gash on his forearm that makes Andrew's own sing. And his teeth itch. Kevin nudges him and Andrew glares at him.

"Jesus Christ, did he file his nails to a point?" Aaron asks. Nicky shrugs and presses a napkin to his bleeding arm.

"Not sure. I told him we could dance until Andrew was ready for him and he turned into an animal," Nicky wads up the napkin and drops it on the table before glancing up at the ceiling. "Maybe it's a full moon."

Andrew sighs. "He is not a werewolf, Nicky."

"Tell that to my arm."

ventrue, maxed out dominate, very high firearm skills. Has never killed anyone to feed. def did it for other reasons though

Cressida (died 65. currently 65, looks like she's in her 40s because she was a ghoul) clan tremere's newest embrace, she had been picked by her sire 20 years before her death. She was already a ghoul during the events of vtmb, and has known and disliked diamila for over a decade. Ambitious but fiercely loyal to her clan, she ends up butting heads with the equally ambitious but much less trustworthy ventrue

brooklyn (died 21 currently 40) an unpredictable vampire whose allegiances change every couple weeks. kept around because of her frequent (although cryptic) visions and her coming across as relatively saner than the average malkavian. emphasis on coming across.

eden (died 24 current 43) an anarch malk who pretends hes a brujah. has the same sire as brooklyn and they were dating before they were turned. Hackerman. Doesn't experience visions of the future and barely seems to be afflicted by the clan curse. or does he > his curse is his portrait came out kind of bad here
