The two were not so much as a few steps inside when Hyde fell on the hardwood. Lanyon resumed locking the front door and bent over the shivering body. Horrid green dripped from Hyde’s face and onto the freshly polished floor. Lanyon wrinkled his nose.

“Not here,” he groaned. Quickly he strode off into another room. “Let me get you something so you don’t get sick all over the hardwood.”

With incredible speed he found a bucket in the kitchen. It was nearly empty, save for some spare potato skins. It would do for now.

ELIAS ART DUMP 🗣️🗣️‼️‼️ I. Have not posted much art of him lately, huh? Well, now that art fights over, expect to see more art teehee 😋 and me actually answering asks. Lanyon braced himself against the wall, hovering over Hyde. The hard brick dug into his hands. His vision was filled with emerald eyes. Hyde was speaking, but the vampire couldn’t hear it over the fluttering of his heart.

“You’ve gone too long without blood,” the small man said. His voice wasn’t accusatory, but saddened.

Lanyon tried to shake the bloodlust. It ached and burned in the very pit of his stomach. His fingers dug into the dry grout. “You need to run!” he hissed through fangs.

Hyde’s eyes shifted red. For a moment Lanyon thought the craving consumed him.

Dracula’s Trap

First art of 2025 and it’s more Anne-Marie art! Yeah, I think being in a fan community discord really keeps the love you have for one character alive… I can’t escape this girl 🤣

For Christmas, I finally got Volume 2 of the Glass Scientist! Mostly because I really wanted to read the bonus story with Dracula and I had some really good ideas for it. Actually reading the story? Had to do some readjustments cause I really thought the whole Dracula debacle would stretched out for days, not one night 🤣 But I worked with this! And I had a wonderfully awful idea 😈

Spoilers for Volume 2!

While Lanyon and Rachel are prepping with the Lodgers to go vampire hunting, Dracula finds picture of Anne-Marie on Jekyll. Thinking he could catch an easy prey, he goes to capture Anne-Marie.

How does he do that? By using Jekyll to lure her out of the house.

Poor Annie doesn’t realize what’s going on until it’s too late. But as Little Human shows… She’s not going down without a fight.

How would they feel if I showed them their respective musicals? (Jekyll/Hyde the Jekyll and Hyde musical, Adam the Frankenstein musical, Dracula the Dracula musical, Erik poto)?

Jekyll/Hyde - would lean over in his seat and whisper to whoever took him, "Utterson is in this right? Where are he and Lanyon? Who are these two broads?...Excellent songs though. Very catchy." Jekyll and Hyde the musical is kind of a guilty pleasure. It's not remotely accurate to the book and it's a hot mess but it's fun and I like some of the songs a lot. Adam - He doesn't hate it. "How very strange it is to see one's story unfold in song. Alas, the ending is somewhat more optimistic than the reality," The musical does make some changes but overall I don't think it's a bad adaptation and I think it is pretty underrated. My personal favorite Goth Lit musical even the songs don't all hit and I hate when they make the creature kill people by accident and when they make him a specific guy that got brought back.

Dracula - honestly more interested in seeing the Harkers react to the idea that he and Mina are starcrossed lovers. The Harkers are horrified and disgusted. Dracula is pleased with this and is even a little flattered that he's somehow gotten people to depict him as a romantic and tragic figure. This is a terrible adaptation and it's only slightly better in German. Frank Wildhorn's music is sometimes not bad here but it's way less fun than Jekyll and Hyde. Erik- "Why have they left out the Daroga? Why is this not an Opera? This woman they've cast cannot compare to the real Christine, I should send a note to the producers to do better next time!" (doesn't matter how actually good the Christine is, he's going to have complaints.) Honestly I can't see him enjoying his life story put to a musical, he'd feel kind of uncomfortable. Like his tragedy was being exploited for the masses. I think the musical is fine but I do not love it and I get the hype but I feel like it has a similar vibe to Tanz Der Vampire where it's the culture around the musical, the production value, and the dedicated fandom that have eclipsed the quality of the actual music and story.
