It started the way it always did- with Tom draped over you like a lazy cat, arms wrapped around your middle, face buried in your neck. It was late, past midnight, and the dim glow of your bedside lamp cast soft shadows across the room. You had something important to say, but your vampire boyfriend had other plans.

“Tom,” you muttered, shifting slightly. “I need to talk to you.”

“Mhm,” he hummed, lips ghosting over your pulse point.

A shiver ran down your spine. You’d gotten used to the whole blood-drinking thing -mostly- but Tom had this annoying habit of biting at the worst possible moments.

“I’m serious.” You placed a hand on his chest, trying to push him back. It was useless, of course. He was an immovable wall of vampire strength, and when he wanted to be close, there was no getting rid of him.

“Me too,” he murmured against your skin, his voice smug.

Then- sharp pain.

“Tom- ”

Sink. His fangs pierced your neck, not too deep, just enough to make you suck in a sharp breath. He exhaled in satisfaction, pressing closer. His grip tightened around your waist as he let out a low groan.

“For fuck’s sake! Can you take your stupid ass fangs out of my neck? I’m trying to talk to you about something.”

Tom stilled. Then, with an exaggerated sigh, he pulled away. His tongue flicked out to lick over the fresh puncture marks, as if to soothe the sting.

“First of all, rude,” he said, lips still brushing your skin. “Second of all, you’re warm and smell nice, and it’s literally impossible not to bite you.”

You glared at him, unimpressed. “Learn some self-control.”

“Babe, I have self-control,” he argued, rolling onto his back, dragging you with him so you were now lying on top of him. “Do you know how many times a day I don’t bite you?”

You scoffed. “That’s not how it works.”

“It is, though,” he insisted, smirking. His fangs were still slightly elongated, a sign that he was far from done. “Anyway, what was so important that you had to interrupt my dinner?”

You smacked his chest. “I was not your dinner.”

“You were a little snack.” He grinned, his sharp canines on full display.

“You’re insufferable.”

“And yet, you love me.” He cupped your cheek, thumb stroking your skin lazily. “Now, tell me, what’s so important?”

You huffed, resting your chin on his chest. “I was gonna ask if you wanted to come to my parents’ house for dinner this weekend.”

Tom blinked. “Like… a human dinner?”

“Yes, Tom. A human dinner. With human food. In a very human setting.”

His nose scrunched up. “Will there be garlic?”

You rolled your eyes. “No one’s gonna throw garlic at you, you dramatic little bat.”

“Hey, it’s a valid concern.” He pouted. “I just don’t wanna sit there pretending to eat while they all stab their steaks with knives. Gives me war flashbacks.”

You snorted. “You’ve never been to war.”

“You don’t know that.”

You groaned, burying your face in his chest. “You’re impossible.”

“I’m your impossible,” he murmured, kissing the top of your head. “Fine. I’ll come. But only because I love you and want your parents to like me.”

You lifted your head to look at him. “Really?”

He sighed dramatically. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll suffer through it. But if I start hissing at the garlic bread, just roll with it.”

You laughed, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “You’re the worst vampire ever.”

“And yet, you still let me bite you.” His smirk was devilish as he flipped you over, pinning you beneath him.

You gasped. “No, Tom-”

But it was too late. His fangs were back on your neck.

“Tom!”

“Shh, snack. This is my payment for suffering through dinner.”

i got a lot of ideas in my brain and my main issue is focusing on one at a time lmao. it really depends on what my brain latches onto at any given moment! i very likely have undiagnosed ADHD so i pingpong A Lot. ya boy is always writing but consistency is not his friend.

i love the idea too; reader has no idea about werewolf mating habits. she was only there for blood and good dick

peter should know better! he knows about mating habits! intimately! he’s had a mate before, assumes he never will again. but he figured since reader is an entirely different species, it wouldn’t take even if he felt the pull toward her initially when they met. his ruts have been getting worse since gwen died. its started bleeding into his role as the pack’s alpha. hes way more aggressive, quick to anger, and hes pissing off the council that regulates the paranormal/preternatural creatures in the area.

he knows reader is nearly constantly hungry bc he can smell it on her. she doesnt want to hurt humans. reader is a hybrid-her dad is a human and mother is a vampire. shes already under scrutiny and surveillance by the council. she’s also screwed. when she was younger, she could eat human food and supplement with blood her mother brought her. but mommy dearest left for almost no reason, reader turns 16 and her body just…ceases to be human. she stops aging, her period gets weaker, the sun is making her sleepy, and her bloodlust becomes more apparent. she cant eat human food anymore without getting violently ill. animal blood is easier to get but it barely sustain her and she needs more of it.

then her very mortal, very human father gets sick. shes the only one left to care for him. she basically barely keeps herself alive for 4 years and tries to lives as humanly as possible while her father loses his mind to dementia. once she moves to nyc, she suddenly cant get the blood she needs. per council rules, she cannot drink human blood. (vampires historically Do Not Fuck With The Council, and reader really would just like to pretend she isnt one, so shes willing to play along) the forests /all belong/ to the wolf packs. she cannot make herself noticeable to humans/tourists. blood is way harder to legally obtain. would be WAY easier if she were getting her masters in biology! but she is a fine arts major :) nobody in the stem courses will even /look/ in her direction.

and there’s peter, who doesn’t like this girl. but she’s in obvious pain. and shes hot. like. /really fucking hot./ and she smells good. she’s extremely awkward around humans and if he doesn’t do /something/ the poor girl’s gonna starve to death.

peter and reader aren’t even friends. they dislike each other immensely but that doesn’t mean they cant have a mutually beneficial relationship.

so he approaches her with the idea and at first shes like ‘ew gross no.’ but then-after she tries and fails to mess around with a human only to go almost Jasper Hale when he nicks his tongue on her fangs-she actually considers it. peter wont die if she gets a lil too rough with him. and she hasn’t had any sort of satisfying sex in…ever.

so she agrees to it but lays down some ground rules. no kissing on the lips, its too intimate. no feelings, shes an independent woman, okay? cannot be tied down right now. and noone on the council can find out, bc shes already an anomaly. they are pissed that shes alive bc shes proof of an immortal child tht skipped their all seeing eyes 🤷🏻they are worried about her getting pregnant, even though it would be extremely difficult its not impossible. they would be up her ass even further if they knew.

peter agrees! thinks it’ll be a breeze. all alphas hate the council, so keeping them from sniffing near his pack is already a priority. he can just kiss her everywhere else, so his oral fixation is quenched. and his desire for a mate died w/ gwen so this should be fine! besides, it’s only a week. really, itll be fine.

The weight of him was comforting. Heavy but not suffocating. Tom lay sprawled on top of you, his face buried in the crook of your neck, arms wrapped lazily around your waist. His body was cool against your warmth, a contrast you’d long gotten used to.

You absentmindedly ran your fingers through his curls, playing with the soft strands while you rambled about your day.

“…and then Professor Jenkins gave us this massive assignment—like, I swear he doesn’t think we have lives outside his class. Three thousand words on some old dead guy’s theories? Unreal.” You huffed, shifting slightly, but Tom didn’t move.

His lips brushed against your neck, a lazy, feather-light kiss that sent a small shiver down your spine. But he was quiet.

You paused, suspicious. “Are you even listening to me?”

“Mmm,” Tom hummed against your skin. His grip around your waist tightened slightly, but he still didn’t say anything.

You frowned, trying to shift him off, but he was practically a dead weight. And that’s when you felt it—the unmistakable press of sharp fangs against your skin. Not biting, not breaking skin, but just… resting there.

You groaned. “Babe.”

No response.

Okay. That’s how he wanted to play it.

With an exasperated sigh, you grabbed his face between your hands, squishing his cheeks. “Listen here, Dracula,” you said, voice firm. “I was in the middle of a very important rant about my ridiculous assignment, and you were not paying attention.”

Tom blinked, lips pursed from your grip on his cheeks. “…I heard something about an old dead guy?”

You groaned, flopping back against the pillows. “Unbelievable.”

Grinning, Tom freed himself from your grasp and nuzzled right back into your neck, his lips pressing soft, deliberate kisses to the skin.

“Hey!” You tried to push him off again, but he just chuckled, the sound low and smug.

“You smell nice,” he murmured, ignoring your weak attempts to shove him away. “And you’re warm.”

You sighed in defeat, threading your fingers through his curls again. “You’re impossible.”

Tom hummed in agreement, tightening his grip around you like a content vampire-shaped koala. “But you love me.”

“…Yeah, yeah.”

You felt his grin against your neck. “So, tell me more about this old dead guy.”

“You’re such an ass.”

He chuckled again, pressing one last lingering kiss to your skin before finally—finally—lifting his fangs away from your neck.
