Just for fun, what chaos do you think Hyacinth would add to the Jail scene
Oh. My. Word. My reaction upon seeing this ask:
Tumblr media
Just picture the utter chaos...
Imagine Benedict and Violet discussing the Sophie situation in sombre tones then Hyacinth pops up with her two cents.
Voilet almost goes apocalyptic with rage/worry, demanding to turn the carriage around. Meanwhile, Benedict in no circumstances is going to allow this carriage to be turned around for he will not allow Sophie to stay in jail for a moment longer.
So eventually it all dies down.
And then they get to the jail, and there's an arguement about Hycainth staying in the carrigae. Benedict doesn't bother to engage but runs in, leaving Violet in desperation wondering which hoodlum child she should pay attention to. After a stern word, and a slammed door, Hycainth is left pouting in the carriage.
Ofcourse she doesn't stay there.
During the jail scene, I can imagine Hycainth adding to the chaos by being like a spectator who is eating popcorn while the drama unfolds. She gives a couple punchy lines like,
"Oooh", Uh huh" and "Take that!" and "How dare she!"
Always being silenced by a stern look from her mother for about a minute before interjecting again.
Please just picture, 13 year old Hycainth being like a little kitten on the sideline, trying to punch Araminta and having to be held back by her mother, who screams,
"Hell yeah!" when Sophie punches Araminta.
Ahh the comedy...
Oh and ofcourse Benedict and Hycainth fight over Sophie in the carriage after...

I am both the first to talk about how Dick and Jason didn't really have a relationship at all before Jason died(both that they didn't have a bad one and not a good one because they didn't have one at all) AND I'm the one who makes them insane siblings.
This is because Dick is incapable of having a normal sibling relationship and my brain automatically shoots the voice saying "but they didn't know each other-" dead in favor of indulging the voice going "but how insane would they have been if they HAD" I hope this helps<3

The premium version of human is here to wreck house, mfs.
Twst x Obey me!AFAB!reader
(Reader is Ob's MC)
CW:
•NO APPEARANCE SPECIFIED FOR READER.
•Poly.
•Cursing.
•Reader is referred to as "you" or they/them and even "he/him" because NRC boys refer to any living humanoid in the school as a male by default.
•Crowley.
•It's my first time writing a fanfiction, pls tell me if I should continue writing this.
(Random pic go brr—)
Tumblr media
What will happen when a perpetually hungry-for-cuddles and tired-of-this-shit hooman gets kidnapped by a motherfucking horse and decides (kinda? Yeah nope. This wasn't by choice.) to enroll in a school full of problematic kids and their irresponsible af headmage?
Chaos. Pure and utter chaos with a lot of high-end simping in the mix (Along with the slightly unhinged urge to commit arson and burn a bitch to crisp)
So read as [y/n] tries to run away from the school-life while trying to just get back to their goddamn harem family (God saw this thought and decided that giving y/n more harem members is the appropriate course of action), all while juggling the harsh responsibilities of being a guardian, babysitter, therapist, healer, protector, local crush and celebrity for poor Yuu and the entirety of NRC.
("Pls send help" — y/n)
• • • • •
Disclaimer: You may have been kidnapped to a whole 'nother world and you may be on the verge of a mental breakdown, but you're sure as hell gonna look hot and serve cunt while you go through all your problems.
Tumblr media
Prologue: 1
IMPORTANT: Mc will be referred to as they/them in this story, but in these beginning chapters a lot of people will refer to mc as a dude because y'know; NRC is an ALL BOYS school and nrc students came to expect that those in the school are all boys.(this'll change dw)
In order to avoid confusion, every time that the MC is addressed by others as he/him or more; I will color it blue. why blue? I find it easier to read.
Sample; 'He turned to them.'
The "He" in this passage is referring to MC because the character referring to them thinks that they're a guy.
REMINDER: This is Fanfiction! Not everything will be the same as canon because of this thing called the 'butterfly effect'.

The Dorm Leaders + lilia were just about to call this Opening Ceremony over.
So close to getting out of this hall and finally being able to go on their merry ways to escort the new students back to their respective dorms before the hectic-ness of preparing for hours starts to catch up to them.
Though, things are never quite that easy in NRC.
A commotion with the students quite far from them leaves the majority of them annoyed/disgruntled. (Kalim is just confused and curious)
The headmaster rushes to check what was wrong only for a student to point out that there is an unopened coffin floating in a shadowy part of the hall.
Armed with the desire to get this shit over with and to avoid embarrassment from missing a coffin when he was going around opening them and also, with Yuu waiting near the mirror, the headmaster opens the coffin to wake the new student inside.
The dorm leaders walked closer to be able to quickly usher the new student to the dark mirror only to notice that the headmaster froze up.
"...Headmaster? Are you alright?" Azul "Boutta-do-sumthin-devious" Ashengrotto asked with faux concern.
"Ah– Ah yes! I'm alright Mr. Ashengrotto."
Crowley the bitch cleared his throat and reached inside the coffin to wake the student up.
"Hmm..."
The dorm leaders subconsciously or not, peaked inside the coffin before getting gobsmacked by the sleeping student.
Sure, the student looked quite cute ("New potential apple locked in" — Vil.) even with half of his face obstructed but what really drew their attention were the jewelries that he was wearing.
Three luxurious looking earrings on each of his ears, all unique from each other, all with a respective color and design except for that one earring with two gemstones connected to it, orange and indigo. Seven gems, six earrings
An ornament on his forehead that looks to be a combination of a circlet and a Ferronnière made from gold, with intricate black bat-like wings surrounding the red gemstone in the middle.
And that's just the jewelry on his head.
There's also the sleek black choker with a golden sheen on his neck with a teal gemstone surrounded by small diamonds hanging in the middle.
They don't know if this guy has anymore but the jewels they can see for now is more than enough for them to make the deduction that this student has some alot of money on his hands.
No wonder the Headmaster froze up.
Azul subconsciously starts fixing up his appearance when he starts to wake up, wanting to make a good impression on a potential, rich victim client.

"Mmh... What the hell.. Why is the bed so hard.."
You mumbled as you stirred, feeling someone lightly shaking you awake.
You opened your eyes, expecting maybe the brothers, solomon, dia, barbs, simeon or luke but you were instead met with a face obscured by a dark bird mask.
"..."
"..."
"You have two seconds to unhand me before you lose your hands." or your life. Depends on who I can summon first.
You made your voice as cold and unwelcoming as possible as the man with the bird mask squawked and backed away a bit in shock.
"H– How rude..! I'll have you know that I was only–"
"Where am I?"
You cut off the weird looking bird-man as you scanned your surroundings and moved to come out of the coffin why were you in a coffin? you were in, in fear of it closing and locking you inside.
You glance warily to the bird-man while keeping an eye on the huge number of robed individuals that you can see. are you in a cult? Damnit, did one of the Brothers' crazy cults decide to kidnap you out of jealousy again??
Especially the seven (reminder that lilia is there with the Housewardens) closest to you and bird-dude.
Some solomon-kinnie motherfucker is currently eyeing you down like he's about to sell your kidneys to the black market or something.. Hmm... Your fight or flight instincts are telling you to sell HIS kidneys instead.
*Ehem*
Burd-dude cleared his throat and addresses you.
"It seems that the teleportation magic has left you disoriented... No matter, I can forgive your offense of trying to threaten me for I am gracious!"
He then looked weirdly like a combination of preening peacock and a proud chicken.
"I repeat. Where in the unholy trinity of the three realms, am I?"
Now that raised a few eyebrows.
You feel for the necklace under your clothes that Thirteen gave you, filing the question of why you're also wearing the same robe as these people away, in your head.
While the guy that you now dub-thee as "bird-bitch" started gawking at you and going on a tangent of being disrespectful, you scan the big hall/room you're in looking for ways to escape.
• • • •
Hmm... This new student seems to be a knowledgeable individual.
Lilia kept his gaze on the student, studying how he took on a defensive stance the moment he got out of the coffin.
They need to calm this student quickly before something happens.
The student seems to be confused on why he's here and is looking for a way to get out.
If the way his eyes moved around the room in quick succession is any indicator.
Not the first time that something like this happens but add in the magicless student's appearance, he gets the feeling that something strange will occur once again.
Seeing him take out and grasp the palm-sized gemstone of a whole 'nother necklace hidden under his robe how many trinkets does this boy have??, Lilia got ready to jump in the fray should something happen.
There's a possibility that the student can use that necklace as a weapon if that was what he chose to hold in this situation and not his other shiny ornaments.
Lilia was proven right when the necklace and the gemstone glowed and formed into a fancy-looking staff that the student quickly pointed towards Crowley.
He looked at the dorm leaders around him to see if any of them will do something.
...
yeah no. If anything, they look like they're watching an amusing show. Especially Schoenheit and Kingscholar..
Though it seems more like Riddle is still assessing the situation before he brings out his infamous collar.
Haahh.. Youngsters these days..

a/n: honestly, someone buy me a drink rn. someone sedate me, pls
*
Fuck a canon event.
Seriously.
You couldn't care anymore about a canon event than you did your next steal. So there was no way you were ever on any Spidey's good side.
Every Spider you encountered were none too pleased with your wry wit and quick-footing, making their job a little more difficult than usual. Unlike the many unhinged villains they encountered, you were both sane and a downright asshole.
Who cared about the balance of good and evil when there was so much fun in watching chaos? Everyday being the same was boring, sometimes the drama made it worth while.
After a successful heist stealing a jeweler parlor, you made your way back to your apartment to inspect your earnings.
Diamonds, while a girl's best friend, were nothing compared to sapphires and rubies. Gold was nothing compared to the most polished of silvers.
Slipping into your apartment window, you were greeted by one of your strays. A white kitten darted across your bare hardwood floor to the kitchen, stopping in front of the fridge and rubbing against the appliance.
"Aww, pretty kitty," you swooned, scooping up the frail feline and throwing open the fridge door. "Milk is bad for us. But a little won't hurt, right?"
You scanned your barren fridge for the nighttime snack of choice; when you found it, you grabbed the glass bottle then shut the door with your hip.
You weren't expecting the imposing Spider hidden behind the door. His presence didn't even peak your senses, his scent almost undetectable.
Tilting your head at him, you furrowed your brows. Definitely not like the other Spideys you've interacted with before. His mask was laced in bright rubinous inlay, his suit emitting a dull glow like a screen.
Your stray reared in your hold at the stranger, hissing even as you turned them away from the person's stance. Ignoring them, you climbed onto the counter with your kitten and grabbed a bowl from the sink.
Eyes still on the person in the dark corner of your apartment, you poured a bowl of milk for your stray then pet down its back.
You hummed softly at it, scritching behind its ears while you worked up a purr. When you were satisfied with petting, you returned the bottle to the fridge and came face-to-face with the Spider again.
"You know, you Spideys usually start with a--" you were cut off by the Spider's large hand gripping your throat and slamming you into the fridge door.
You blinked pointedly, your eyesight going dizzy in the moment before narrowing your gaze at them. Your stray hissed again, hopping from the counter and scrambling under the bed.
"Straight to the point then," you said, tilting your chin up to lengthen your throat. "No spiel? No Spidey-backstory?"
"Do they do that often?" the Spider spoke, he spoke, monotonous and strong. "Give you a story?"
You rolled your eyes dramatically, taking the gentle ease of his hand to breathe. "Most of them do. Gives me enough time to get away."
The Spider tsked, his fingers flexing at your throat. "Weak."
You smiled deviantly. "My thoughts exactly."
You brought your knee up swiftly, attempting to bludgeon the Spider's crotch; he stepped back and avoided your blow, then pressed his body to yours as his hold on your neck tightened.
"Gatito malo," the Spider chastised against your nose. "Should've been caught a long time ago."
You melted an inch, your purr returning by the utterance. Your brow quirked, leaning in to try and examine the Spider's face from under his mask.
"If only they were efficient like you," you offered, gasping in a breath from his palm flattening your windpipe.
"Flattery will get you nowhere," Spider-Man noted with a scoff.
Your hands now went for his at your throat, attempting to pry him off with your claw-adorned gloves.
"I thought Spiders had a code," you squeaked out with a wiggle, trying to gain leverage from this man.
Your knees suddenly braced his waist, feeling the heat rush over your body.
"I'm not like the others..." he began, before you felt a sharp pinch on the side of your throat.
A puncture through your skin made you wince, baring your kitten fangs in pain.
"I do whatever it takes," Spider-Man grit out, tightening his hold on your neck further.
You hardened under his hold, your knees now squeezing at his waist to gain more leverage from him.
"You're telling me," you feigned a swoon, shutting your eyes to meter your breathing through pursed lips.
"You don't mess with canon events, gatito." He flexed his hold. His other hand was gripped onto your fridge, his claws sinking into the sturdy appliance like an opening a can.
Surprising yourself, you reached out for the Spider's face, clawing at his mask and taking the moment to wriggle from his hold. You sank down to the floor, ducked between the hero's sturdy legs to crawl away.
The hero recovered from your fake-out and turned to reach after your ankle. He grabbed you, pulling you across the linoleum as your claws scratched the floor.
You turned onto your back and kicked in the direction of his face once, twice before the Spider grabbed at your extended thigh.
You straightened up, using your core to pull yourself up. Your knees rested at his shoulders, his claws tearing into your dark jeans attempting to pry you off of him.
You squeezed your thighs at the man's throat, making him tilt his chin up as the moonlight pooled through your kitchen window.
His hair caught onto the night light, his eyes dark and beaming in the shadows of your apartment. You reached your hands out to grab at his hair, but the Spider grabbed onto your hips and threw you off of him.
Catching yourself on your feet, you skidded over the kitchen island and knocked over your stray's milk bowl. Ducking behind the island, you scrambled to search your pockets for a gadget to use in the moment.
"Nice try, gatito," the Spider called out, cracking his neck as he walked over to the island. "But there's no weaseling out of this one."
You waited a moment, thought of moving away from him but couldn't find a reasonable option. Instead, you flinched when he slammed his hands down on the countertop.
Glancing up, you met his eyes glinting a blood crimson. He lurched at you, making you scurry away and kick your shoes off. You rushed back to your window, ready to jump out and make your escape.
The Spider caught your ankle again and dragged you across the floor, earning a few more kicks at his chest and stomach. You flinched when he closed his legs over yours, took your hands in his.
He stretched you out under him, listening to your heart threshing wildly in your chest. The Spider leaned in and sniffed tentatively at the back of your ear when you turned your head in disgust.
The fear that rushed through you in that instant made his cock swell. He grit his teeth at the feeling, pulling back in an instant. You waited for your punishment in the form of striking, batting away your face in hopes he wouldn't break your nose.
Instead, you felt the sudden levity of the Spider gone. You flashed your eyes open, realizing he'd disappeared. But not without the jewels.
"Motherfucker," you pursed out, folding yourself upright then over your knees.
You tried to catch your breath in the short moment, attempting to map everything that just happened in the span of seconds. The Spider was in, then out, of your life in the blink of an eye and all you had to show for it was the now bleeding puncture on your throat.
You sat your head up over your forearms, steadying your breaths from the fight. But even when you did, you couldn't deny the warmth that pooled to your stomach.
You'd felt him against you twice, a stiff upper body and sturdy frame. He could've killed you easily. But he played with you. Much like you did to his Spidey counterparts.
-
Stupid canon events.
They were nothing. And how the hell were you supposed to know which decision of yours would bring that mean, old Spider back to you?
The thought alone was daunting, staring over New York with a new task at hand: bring more chaos to bring your Spider back.
"Don't do whatever you're thinking," his voice cut in through your thoughts.
You turned around on the rooftop to see the Spider, without a mask on, leaning against the door to the complex stairway.
"I'm already exhausted," he huffed, pinching at the bridge of his nose.
You narrowed your eyes at him, leaning against the ledge of the rooftop. "You've just given me a reason to do it. Not like you'll stop me."
The Spider growled out in frustration, his chest flattening with the exhale. He flashed out his wrist twice, distracting you with his speed to web you to the brick ledge.
"Gatito," he stressed, pulling his hand from his face and stepping up to you. The man leaned down to meet your gaze, allowed you to stare deep into his dim eyes and the dark circles that accessorized them. "Don't."
You openly pouted at his warning; your eyes cut to the sky as you cocked a hip in defiance. "But..."
"Ah, ah, ah," The Spider began, clamping his large hand over your mouth. At the same time, he held his index finger up to chastise you. "No excuses."
You screwed your jaw sideways, allowing your defiance to bleed through your stare at this man.
"What?" he asked flatly, pulling his hands back.
You took in his entire stature, much taller than you remembered and more built than you gathered in the dark.
"Why didn't you deal with me last time?" you queried genuinely.
This man could've easily flattened you, you realized over and over again. He'd made a note of letting you know too. He'd been the object of your dreams that night, the reason you cuddled extra tight at your pillow.
Spider furrowed his brows in slight confusion at you, his thick brows pinching the skin between them with a wrinkle. He gave you a once-over, met your eyes instantly.
"I thought the warning sufficed."
You exhaled, offering a long blink to dot the silence. "Guess not."
The Spider leveled his brow, casting a shadow over his gaze. "We're not going at this again."
You reached out to brace his calf with your sneaker. "Come on. Admit it, it was fun."
"Never," he spat, adjusting his stance away from your reach.
You prodded your tongue between your lips as you tilted your head at him. "Do you get hard when you fight all your villains?"
His face flashed with quick embarrassment before he reeled himself back to frustration. "You are not a villain."
It felt like he'd baited you with something good. "So I'm special?" You asked with a grin.
The Spider scoffed at you, cutting his eyes away as his hands braced his waist. Now you were paying attention to how he was truly built. Your knees had braced that waist, your chest had pressed against his.
"I feel honored, seeing how intimate we got," you pushed.
"Shut," The Spider bit out, his teeth gritted as he leaned towards you. "Up. That's not what happened."
You raised a brow at his demeanor, hiding the devilish grin that tempted your lips.
"Are you sure? I feel like you're overreacting at a little criminal."
The Spider peeled his top lip back with a snarl, revealing a much longer fang than your own. His nose scrunched, almost disgusted.
"Your..." his hand reached out to grab you, his claws already extended. He acknowledged your slight flinch at him and drew back with a fist. "I can read your thoughts. They're...a lot."
An ice spilled through your system then, every thought you'd had about this Spider flooding to the forefront again. Every thought made you physically shake it away, wading through your fantastical imagination.
When you'd worked through yourself, you met the Spider's avoiding gaze wanting to see if you could make his thoughts.
"Anything...you like?" you teased.
The Spider scoffed, the noise sounding much like a furball ready to be hacked. He turned away from you, shaking his head at you.
"That's not what I'm here for." he offered.
It felt almost too easy. With a gentle tug, you felt the web at your wrists give way and you sat up on the ledge. "Are you sure? What was it you were saying about canon events?"
The Spider glanced over his large shoulder back at you. "What're you getting at, gatito?"
You shrugged, feigning dumb, bringing your claw-adorned glove up to examine them. They were sharp, much like the Spider's, but made from reformed silver. Purely for the show of it.
"Why is it that I trigger a canon event with everything I do? Your other Spideys can't seem to fix the situation, but you can."
Spider's brows were now melded together. "I'm still not following."
"I just might be your match, Spidey. I might be important to you."
The stranger grit, his jaw tightening as his hands gripped harder at his hips. "You speak nonsense."
"Maybe," you offered with another shrug, glancing in the Spider's direction. "But that made you hard, didn't it?"
He growled, snapping in your direction. "Stop that!"
"I haven't done anything," you said. "But you can't deny the attraction, Spidey."
"Miguel," he barked lowly at you. "My name is Miguel."
You nodded slowly, dropping your hand to hold the ledge you were balanced on. "Nice to put a name to a handsome face."
Miguel raised a finger to you, ready to scold you, but forfeited and returned his hand to waist. You lounged on the ledge, resting your chin in your hand.
Drumming your fingers to your cheek, you ogled the Spider, Miguel, as he paced the rooftop.
"So," you drew out, finally letting your smile curl on your lips. "You ready to confess, Miguel?"
He scoffed outwardly at you, turning his back to you until he turned his head up at the sky with a groan.
Sitting upright, you kicked off of the ledge and stood close behind him. You ran a finger down his back, tracing over the dip between his shoulders while admiring the husk of his build.
"I'll say it first since you're scared," you taunted, skirting a hand over his waist before stepping away from him.
You slipped under his arm as he turned, now facing him and leaning in to veer up at him. "I'd very much like to pick up where we left off."
Miguel glanced down at you then smacked his teeth in disbelief. "Ay, gatito, give it a rest."
You purred, reaching up to rest your hand on his shoulder. You ran your claws down the length of his arm before running your fingers between his and intertwining them.
"You felt it there, Miguel," you smiled, leaning in to whisper. "If you weren't on a mission, you wanted to fuck."
Miguel's hand clasped tightly over yours, holding back enough strength to not crush it. His claws caged over your small knuckles as he leaned into your face.
"You're no good, kitty cat," he seethed lowly, his eyes flicking over your body and back to you. "I have no reason to waste time on you."
You leaned in, skirting your nose against Miguel's to breathe against his lips. "You trying to convince me? Or yourself?"
Miguel's eyes flashed with anger, his brows furrowing as his nostrils flared. His mind was plagued with the images littering your thoughts in the exact moment, his throat dry as he attempted to tame his cock from reacting.
"Puta," he spat against your mouth, his hot breath punctuating against your lips.
You cocked your jaw slightly. "I like a challenge, don't you? Let's see who bites first."
Miguel smushed his lips to yours, just to get you to stop speaking. You were effectively working his last nerve, and the thought of having you writhing on his cock was beginning to suffice the stress.
His hand clenching yours relaxed, sliding up to your wrist and bringing your hand to his crotch so you could feel the absolute need of relief.
You hummed excitedly against his lips, feeling the heat from Miguel's cock cradled in your hand. Slowly, you traced your fingers up his sheathed length; the more you trekked, the more daunting the task of fitting him inside you was.
Still, you were unnerved. The lilac feeling trickling down your back as you tilted your head back and opened your mouth to receive Miguel's tongue.
He followed your lead at that point, edging his tongue into your mouth before delving and scouring like finding new flesh to rapture.
His other hand grabbed at your bicep, pulled you into his chest and tenderly squeezed at your muscle; his handling bordered on aggressive, withheld just enough under the surface to feel the tension.
Miguel gulped when he parted from you, not without a tender nip to your top lip. He bowed his forehead to yours, catching his breath while his mind now shared the same depth as yours.
"Take me to your apartment," he ordered, his hold squeezing on you to get his point across.
You nodded, eyelids fluttering as your chest rose with his.
-
Down the stairs from the rooftop, Miguel kept close behind you. His steps held the same cadence, not picking up speed or trudging; he kept a respectful distance behind you while you followed your hummingbird-racing heart.
At the front door of your apartment, you fumbled with finding your keys. Patting your pockets, you attempted to find them as Miguel sidled up behind you.
He pressed into you, his hands finding your hips, rutting his sheathed cock against the backside of your suit. You fumbled a moment, each rock of his hips stalling your efforts to think. Miguel let loose an errant groan, his fingers pressing tighter into you and backing you up on him.
You reached a hand out to the door for stability, folding your lips together to fight back the noises earned from his bulge tempting against your heat.
"I-I gotta," you stammered, wiggling out of his hold to bend down and look under your floor mat.
Retrieving the key, you studied putting it in the lock as Miguel grabbed the top of the doorframe and leaned into your back.
"Don't make me wait now, gatito. Apurarse." His mouth pressed up to the shell of your ear, his breath trickled down your neck.
You hid a shiver, pushing the door open fervently and letting the stranger inside. Miguel grabbed the key from your door and tossed it to the floor, then slammed the door behind him.
He kept up with your heels, his shoulders rolled forward while he studied you like prey. You felt his eyes bore into you as you crossed the studio apartment, walking by the kitchen until Miguel shoved you against the kitchen island.
Miguel grabbed your shoulder to spin you around, eyed you over before landing at the buckle of your pants. He rested his hands on the counter, his fingers curling over the lip to hold back his eagerness to undress you.
"Get naked," he smattered against your ear, a trickle of his spit dotting his syllables. Miguel bared his teeth for effect, inhaling your scent from the close proximity. "Now."
You wiggled in place, feeling the nervous tickle across your back as the heat rose between your thighs. Miguel was pressed between them, no longer evading his deep interest in you.
Your breath caught as his swollen cock rubbed over your clothed sex, making your eyes cross at the thought of relief. Miguel huffed against your ear, taking in your shaken demeanor and pulled back.
"Did you not hear me?" He bit, taking dominant grip of your jaw and giving you a light jerk. "Strip."
Your hands went for your zipper in obedience, suddenly tame as could be; Miguel's eyes dragged down the length of your body with your zipper, holding back the driven hunger in his eyes when you shrugged a shoulder of your bodysuit and revealed your bare chest.
A mirthless scoff escaped his lips, his free hand grabbing at piece of the fabric and aiding it off of you.
"Straight to the point, huh?" he taunted, his voice toneless of joviality.
You sighed, smiled, and continued to undress for Miguel's approval. He tilted his chin up, looked down his nose at you revealing your body to him.
"Mira," he breathed as you pushed your bodysuit down from your waist and shimmied it to your ankles. Miguel dipped his fingers between your hips, feeling at the immediate wet along your folds. "Mierda..."
You fumbled out of your shoes and free from your suit as Miguel touched you. Your hand reached for his bicep, unconsciously spreading your legs to allow him further.
"You are a brat, wet like a bitch in heat," Miguel snarled in your face, drawing two fingers back and forth between your lips. He teased around your entrance, making you acknowledge the thickness of his fingers.
You squirmed, your knees almost magnetic to one another but Miguel stood closer between them. He chastised you with a click of his tongue, edging the tips of his fingers into you then back out.
Miguel's cock twitched at the feeling of you around him, velvet wet at the tips of his fingers. He put his hand on your hip, edging you onto the counter.
He followed you, pressing his cock to the side of the counter as he shifted your hips to the edge. You reached to run your fingers through his hair, give him a lick of attention, but he shied away from your touch and knelt before you.
"Spread it for me," he ordered, licking at his teeth.
Another chill shocked through you, following his order and using your fingers to hold yourself open. He swallowed thickly, drawing his hand over his mouth before swiping it down his chest to disperse his suit.
You stared down at Miguel as his suit glitched away, his shoulders revealed to be larger and rounded than imagined. His hands gripped at your knees, draped them over his shoulders as he sank his mouth to your sex.
His tongue lashed out hungrily, not wasting a second to savor you. You fidgeted in his hold, felt his teeth edge in and out of control. His lips kissed, mawed while his tongue lapped, dragged between your folds.
"M-Miguel," you tried, feeling him acknowledge you with a squeeze at your knees.
He drew back a hand, fumbled from behind his closed eyes to take hold of his throbbing cock. He stroked feverishly, his eyes rolling at the slick taste of you melting on his tongue.
Miguel broke away from you to bite at your inside thigh, not holding back as his incisors pinched your skin. You yelped, edging your thigh open further to evade him.
Miguel snarled after you, raising to his feet again with his cock in hand. The thought of engulfing you made the untamed heat in Miguel grow. He wanted to tower over you, make you cower from him just to feed off of your fear.
You stared unwaveringly in his eyes, acknowledging the deep red laced through them. You were tempted to blink, balk at his aggression, but you tightened your jaw and tilted your chin up.
The corner of his mouth twitched. "Suck my cock, gatito."
His order shot through your body, making you edge your hips on the counter. You moved carefully off of the counter, down to your knees before Miguel.
Your eyes gazed up the stranger's body, taking in every muscular divot and curve of him. His stature was domineering, the way he held his shoulders nothing short of menacing.
Miguel's hand reached for your cheek, caressed it softly before gripping your chin between his thumb and index finger. "Suck."
He pried your mouth open, guided your lips to the tip of his hard cock. Staring down the length of him, your hands went to his thighs to keep yourself steady.
Slowly, you pushed your lips down Miguel's cock; his tip pressurized your uvula, bringing tears to your eyes and spittle to pull in your mouth. You hallowed your cheeks, using your hands to slather his length with your saliva.
Miguel bowed his head back, holding in his groan as his hand rested at your nape. He seethed between his teeth, eyes rolling at the warmth you gave to his cock. His web pore under his free hand flexed in excitement, reminding him of the imminence.
He smacked his teeth, pulling his cock from your hold then tapping it at the front of your lips, over your cheeks before reaching to drag you up.
The look of your bed was calling your name, wanting nothing more than to share your intimate space with this man. Miguel thought nothing further than you, his gaze forced on you as he turned you around in his hold.
His hands gripped your biceps, weighed the thought of bruising you before folding you to the floor. Miguel followed you down, edging up on his knees to spread your legs.
He ran his hands down your sides, gripped your hips and ruthlessly tilted them in his favor. Without warning, Miguel guided his tip between your folds then in.
Your eyes fluttered hard, blinking and bracing your shoulder to the linoleum. Your arms bowed under your body, your stomach folded to your thighs tight.
Miguel was felt through every inch of your core, pushing more of himself inside until you were overstuffed with him. He stared down in disappoint, you speared on his cock but not taking him all the way in.
He growled, rocking your hips to meet his unmatchable thrusts. You yowled softly against the linoleum, your body burned with the ravishing heat.
Miguel's claws bit into your skin, holding you in place while he thrusted out of sync, no longer pacing himself.
A purr tore through your chest, rumbling the part of the floor and rattling back against your nipples. Miguel growled in response, his finger pads squeezing hungrily at your flesh.
He paused, allowing your throbbing sex to hug his cock. Miguel returned his thrusts, then paused in spurts to savor the bits of you.
You writhed under him, no longer feeling human but a vessel of pleasure. Your walls begged for release, your body shuddering with every edge.
"Please," you pleaded minutely.
Miguel inhaled deeply, then out as he thrusted his cock as far into you as he could; the jolting feeling brought you to your climax, eyes rolling as you released Miguel's name from your lips.
He clawed over your skin, bringing deep red welps and punctures to your skin. His web pores twitched to life, spurting short lengths of web at the same time he emptied his balls into you.
Miguel folded a hand at the small of your back, bowing you further onto his cock to keep his cum inside of you. Your body reacted with small twinges at the flex of his cock within you.
-
You woke up at sunset, in your bed. Looking around your apartment, you searched for your Spider. Miguel. But he was nowhere to be found.
Dropping your head back in defeat, you scoffed at the ceiling. The one time with him now felt like it wouldn't be enough. He was now itching under your skin, you felt his claws had left marks all over you.
Rolling over, you went to grab your pillow and hold it close only to see a note made from spider web. You quirked a brow, leaning towards the silveresque threads twinkling on the edge of the sunset.
'Get in trouble again, gatito. Don't make me wait.'

Getaway Heart
Tangerine x Reader - angst & fluff
Tumblr media
Warnings: blood & vomit
You’ve been a getaway driver since you got your license at 18, maneuvering through the streets with audacity and precision that caught the eye of all the right, and wrong, people. For the past ten years, you worked alone in the shadows, carving out a reputation as the go-to driver for high-stake jobs.
On a rainy evening, the twins handler, a no-nonsense woman with a penchant for dark sunglasses and cryptic instructions, invited you to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Madrid. The place smelled of oil and rubber. There she introduced you to the two men known only by their code names: Tangerine and Lemon. They were looking for a reliable driver, and their handler thought you fit the bill. You knew the Fruits were renowned in the industry for being very good at what they do but were slightly unhinged.
Tangerine was the first to step forward. He was tall and lean, with a sharp jawline and piercing blue eyes that seemed to dissect you with a single glance. Dressed in an impeccably tailored suit that contrasted starkly with the grime of the warehouse, he exuded an air of sophistication and control. His voice was smooth, almost velvety, “So, you’re the driver everyone’s talking about,” he said, his tone carrying a mix of skepticism and curiosity.
Lemon, on the other hand, was the exact opposite. Shorter and more muscular, he had a rugged look about him, with bleached hair and an unpredictable glare. His attire was casual— black jeans and a denim jacket—giving off a more approachable vibe. In his hand, he toyed with a small sticker book, flicking it absentmindedly as he watched you.
The initial meeting didn’t go smoothly. Tangerine’s aloof demeanor and Lemon’s staring put you on edge. Tangerine scrutinized your every word and movement, as if searching for a weakness, while Lemon tested your patience with his relentless talk about trains.
“Look, love” Tangerine finally said, crossing his arms, “we don’t have time for screw-ups. We need someone who can handle the heat and think on their feet. Can you do that?”
You met his gaze, your jaw set in determination. “I’ve been doing this long enough to know that hesitation can get you killed. I can handle the heat. Question is, can you keep up? Oh, and the names Orange, love.”
There was a moment of silence before Lemon burst into laughter. “I like this one,” he said, clapping Tangerine on the shoulder. “Got some fire in her.”
Tangerine’s lips curled into a faint smile, the first sign of approval. “Alright Orange,” he said. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
The memory made you grin.
Right after meeting the twins you had your first job together and it was utter chaos—shit hit the fan, sirens blaring, guns a blazing and the scent of burnt rubber hanging heavy in the air. You were behind the wheel, the adrenaline coursing through your veins as you navigated the streets of Madrid with precision.
"Tangerine, we've got company!" Lemon's tone was annoyed.
Tangerine, cool and collected, leaned out of the window, firing off shots with deadly accuracy. "I can see that, Lemon! Im not blind!"
You couldn't help but roll your eyes, as the banter between the twins was getting on your nerves. "Would you two save the chatter for later? I'm trying to concentrate here!"
Lemon laughed. "Relax, Orange, we've got this under control."
You just sighed in annoyance and literally put your foot down, pushing the pedal to the metal.
Tangerine, sitting in the seat behind you, clung to the door handle, as hes being pushed back by the force of the speeding car. "Bloody hell, Orange? " he shouted, his voice a mix of panic and irritation.
Lemon, in the backseat, looked even worse. His face was pale, and he was gripping the headrest in front of him for dear life. "For the love of all that's holy, slow down!”
You smirked, your eyes darting between the road and the rearview mirror. "Relax, boys. Let me do my job and i let you do yours" you said, narrowly missing a pedestrian who decided now was the perfect time to jaywalk.
"Relax? Relax?!" Tangerine's voice went up an octave. "We’ve got the entire Mafia of Madrid after us, how in hell am i supposed to work when you’re driving like a maniac!"
You took a sharp turn, the tires screeching in protest. The car tilted dangerously, but you managed to keep it from flipping. Lemon made a sound that was somewhere between a whimper and a growl. "If we die, I’m haunting your ass!"
"Hold on to something!" you yelled, spotting a narrow alleyway ahead. Without hesitation, you swerved into it, the car barely fitting between the buildings. The side mirrors scraped against the brick walls, sending sparks flying.
Tangerine’s knuckles were white from gripping the door handle. "Jesus Christ, woman!"
You chuckled, adrenaline pumping through your veins. "I got hired for my driving skills, remember?"
Lemon let out a strangled laugh. "Skills? More like suicidal tendencies!"
As you burst out of the alley and back onto a busy street, a car tried to cut you off. With a quick flick of the wheel, you sideswiped it, sending it crashing into a parked truck. "One down, a few dozen to go," you quipped, glancing at your handiwork in the mirror.
"Just keep us in one piece!" Tangerine barked, looking both impressed and terrified.
You sped towards an upcoming construction site, an idea forming in your mind. "Hold tight," you warned, accelerating even more.
"Oh hell no!" Lemon groaned, clearly dreading your next move.
You aimed for a ramp leading up to a half-built overpass. As the car launched into the air, all three of you screamed—though in your case, it was more of a whoop of excitement. The car soared over the gap, landing with a bone-jarring thud on the other side. The cars that are chasing you weren’t so lucky; the first few smashed into the gap, creating a massive pileup.
Tangerine looked at you with wide eyes, his breath coming in short gasps. "You’re absolutely mad, you know that?"
Lemon, still clutching the headrest, nodded fervently. "Completely off your rocker."
You gave them a cheeky grin. "But i got rid of them, no?"
As the car sped away from the chaos behind, Tangerines eyes still held a hint of disbelief. "You’re a bloody lunatic!"
Lemon slumped back in his seat, finally letting go of the headrest. "Next time, I’m driving."
You laughed, the thrill of the chase still coursing through you. "Sure."
After a few more sharp turns you finally pull into a secluded garage. You killed the engine, the sudden silence almost deafening after the chaos.
"You two okay back there?" you had asked, trying to suppress a smirk.
Lemon had groaned, his face pale as a sheet. "I think I'm gonna be sick, now that we stopped," he had mumbled, clutching his stomach.
Tangerine had shot him a glare before leaning out of the window, retching onto the pavement. "Yeah, and somehow we made it out alive!” he had grumbled, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
You turn in your seat looking at the boys smiling. Tangerine shook his head, laughing despite himself. “But remind me never to question your driving skills again.”
“Deal” you replied with a grin.
After that night, the three of you went through countless jobs together, facing danger with unwavering trust in one another. As time passed, your feelings toward Tangerine began to change. Working alongside him, it became increasingly difficult to ignore the way your heart fluttered whenever he flashed a rare smile or the way your pulse quickened at his touch.
The more jobs you pulled, the deeper your affection for him grew, and the harder it became to suppress your emotions.
And now, something feels off. As you sit in the driver's seat of your idling car, the engine's purr does little to calm your anxious nerves. The night is heavy with tension, the rearview mirror becoming your only solace. You glance back repeatedly, your mind racing through every possible outcome of tonight's job.
Tonight's mission was supposed to be a straightforward smash and grab. The target: a high-end jewelry store fronting as a money laundering operation for one of the city's major crime syndicates in London. Intelligence indicated minimal security—just a couple of guards, easily neutralized. Tangerine and Lemon were tasked with infiltrating, grabbing the goods, and getting out before anyone noticed. Simple, clean, efficient.
You were parked in the back alley of the building, engine running, ready for the signal. The minutes stretched on, each one feeling like an hour. Something gnawed at your gut, a premonition that things weren't going according to plan. You'd run through every escape route, every contingency, but no amount of planning could shake the unease that had settled over you.
The longer you waited, the more your thoughts drifted back to Tangerine. His smile, his confidence, the way he always seemed to know what to say to calm you down. You remember the first time he took a bullet for you. He had laughed it off, calling you a softie for worrying. That was Tangerine—fearless, almost reckless, but with a heart that beat fiercely for those he cared about.
You trusted them both with your life, but tonight, that trust felt more like a lifeline, taut and fraying with each passing second.
The rearview mirror offers no new insights, just the darkened street and the distant sounds of the city. You grip the steering wheel tighter. You can almost hear Tangerine’s voice, telling you to stay calm, to trust the plan. But the plan is starting to feel like a distant memory, overshadowed by a growing fear that this time, things won’t go as smoothly as they always have.
And then, like a thunderclap, the back door of the building bursts open.
Suddenly, Lemon charges through the back door of the building, supporting a hunched over Tangerine. It's clear that this simple job has gone terribly wrong. As they stagger closer, you see the blood—Tangerine is losing a lot of it. You reverse the car and drive towards them. Lemon yanks open the back door, practically shoving Tangerine inside before he climbs in himself.
"Go, go, go!" Lemon shouts, urgency in his voice.
You change immediately into first and slam the gas pedal to the floor, the tires screeching as the car lurches forward. The doors are barely closed, but you don’t have time to worry about that. In the rearview mirror, you see Lemon struggling to put pressure on one of Tangerines wounds, while the latter squirms in pain.
"What the fuck happened?" you demand, weaving through traffic with precision.
"Tangerine underestimated the Job, didn't wear his west and got shot," Lemon replies, his voice strained. Tangerine just groans, clearly in too much pain to speak.
"You didn't wear your fucking west?" you scoff, your hands gripping the wheel tightly. "You always chastise us when we're not wearing one, what the fuck were you thinking!"
"Yeah, well," Tangerine mutters in pain, "we all make mistakes."
You maneuver through the city's maze-like streets, dodging late-night traffic and running red lights. The city's neon lights cast eerie reflections inside the car, illuminating the tense scene. The smell of blood fills the air, and you can hear Tangerine's labored breathing from the back seat.
"You better not die on me, Tangerine," you say, your voice tight with a mixture of fear and anger. "I’m not dealing with your expensive funeral."
Tangerine tries to laugh, but it turns into a pained groan. "Always… so considerate," he manages to say between gasps.
"Save your strength, mate," Lemon says, pressing another wad of cloth against Tangerine's bleeding abdomen. "We need you to stay awake."
The car roars down a narrow alleyway, the tires barely gripping the slick pavement as you take a sharp turn. You can feel the tension in the air, thick and suffocating. Every second counts, and the safehouse feels a million miles away.
"I swear, if we make it out of this alive, you're going to owe me one pristine car cleaning," you assert firmly, your voice tinged with worry.
"Deal," Tangerine replies, his eyes closing. Lemon looks at you through the rearview mirror "Just get us there in one piece."
You weave through the final stretch of city streets, your knuckles white on the steering wheel. The safehouse looms ahead, a nondescript building that has become your haven in times of crisis. You screech to a halt after driving into the garage, the car barely stopping before you pull the handbrake.
"Help me get him inside," Lemon says, rushing out and opening the back door. Together, you and Lemon half-carry, half-drag Tangerine towards the entrance, his blood leaving a grim trail behind you.
"Hang on, Tan," you whisper, your voice breaking despite your best efforts to stay calm. "We're almost there."
Inside the safehouse, the familiar surroundings offer little comfort. You clear the kitchen table with a sweep of your arm, sending everything crashing to the floor.
"Lay him down here," you instruct. "I need to see how bad it is."
Tangerine's eyes flutter open, and he looks up at you with a weak smile. "You always did know how to make things dramatic, love" he jokes, his voice barely a whisper.
"Shut up," you say, your throat tight. "Just let me fix you up."
As you rip open his shirt, revealing the extent of his injuries, the reality of the situation hits you like a punch to the gut. Four bullet wounds, two in his left shoulder one in his right arm and the worst is stuck in the right side of his abdomen.
This isn't just another job gone wrong. This is a fight for survival. And in this moment, all you can think about is keeping Tangerine alive.
"You ruined my Burberry suit," Tangerine complains weakly, attempting a half-hearted smirk.
"I said, shut up," you snap, your voice tight with worry. Your hands move quickly, working to stop the bleeding. Tears blur your vision, but you force yourself to focus, ignoring the emotional storm brewing inside you.
Lemon stands by, trying to keep pressure on the wounds. He looks at you, concern etched on his face. "You alright?" he asks, noticing your tears.
You nod, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on your shoulders. Each bullet you extract from Tangerine's flesh elicits an excruciating scream from him that reverberates through the room and it slices through you like a knife. But you steel yourself against the anguish, focusing solely on the task at hand. With each bullet removed, Tangerine's body relaxes a fraction, but his agony remains palpable.
Exhaustion settles over him like a heavy shroud, and he slumps back, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. You work quickly, stitching him up as best you can with trembling hands, the urgency of the situation lending you a sense of clarity.
Once Tangerine is bandaged and relatively stable, you turn your attention to the smaller cuts and abrasions littering his body. With gentle care, you clean away the blood, your movements deliberate and precise as you tend to his wounds.
When you finally finish, you look to Lemon, concern etched into your features. "You got any injuries?" you ask, your voice laced with worry.
He shakes his head, his gaze unwavering as he grabs a blanket and pillow, arranging them to make Tangerine's makeshift bed on the kitchen table a little more comfortable.
You look at your blood covered hands and your mind starts to race,
The reality of the situation sinking in. Despite your years of experience you can't shake the feeling of helplessness that washes over you. You've faced danger countless times before, but this time feels different.
As you turn to wash the blood away in the sink, Lemon appears at your side. His eyes hold a depth of understanding that cuts through the turmoil in your soul.
"Not exactly the night we planned, huh?" Lemon tries to joke, but his voice wavers.
"Yeah…" you reply, forcing a smile that doesn't quite reach your eyes.
"You love him, don't you?" Lemon's voice breaks the silence, gentle but insistent.
You pause, the question hanging in the air. Tears spill over, and you nod, holding in a sob. "Yes," you whisper, your voice cracking. "I do."
Wordlessly, he reaches out, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. His touch is grounding.
With a steadying breath, you push aside the tumult of emotions threatening to overwhelm you.
You look back at your shaking hands seeing the sink run red as you rinse the rest of Tans blood away, the water swirling slowly like the tension in your chest. The room feels both too small and too vast, the weight of everything pressing down on you.
Lemon's eyes soften with understanding. "Does he know?" he asks gently.
You shake your head, tears now flowing freely. "No," you manage to choke out.
Lemon gives you a sad smile and pats your back. "It's gonna be okay. He's tough. He'll pull through. He's Tangerine, after all."
You look over at Tangerine, his face pale and his breathing shallow. The sight of him like this, so vulnerable, breaks something inside you. You sink to your knees beside the table, clutching his hand in yours, your tears falling onto his bloodstained shirt.
"I should have told him, “ You whisper, your voice breaking. "I should have told him every day."
Lemon kneels beside you, his own eyes glistening with unshed tears. "He knows," he says softly. "Somehow, he knows. And he’s fighting.”
The room is silent except for the faint, labored breathing of Tangerine. You press your forehead to Tangerine's hand, your sobs shaking your entire body.
"Please, don't leave me," you whisper, your voice raw with pain. "I can't do this without you."
"He's going to make it," Lemon murmurs, more to himself than to you. "He has to."
You cling to those words, praying that they're true. Because the thought of a world without Tangerine is too much to bear.
When the morning sun shines through the kitchen window, you stir, the warm light nudging you awake. You jolt up, immediately checking on Tangerine and finding him still breathing, albeit slowly. His chest rises and falls steadily, and a wave of relief washes over you.
Your body aches from the uncomfortable sleeping position, but you ignore it, stretching briefly before moving around the kitchen to make some coffee, the familiar routine grounding you.
Suddenly, you hear a faint sound. Turning around, you see Tangerine, though barely conscious, calling out for you, reaching out weakly.
"Hey, " he murmurs, his eyes fluttering closed but a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
You rush to his side, your heart heavy yet light with relief. “don't go too far" he whispers, his hand finding yours.
"Lemon!" you call out, your voice trembling with a mix of emotions. "Lemon, get in here!"
Lemon appears in the doorway, eyes widening as he takes in the scene. "What's going on? Is he—?"
"He's awake," you say, unable to contain the sob that escapes your lips. "He's going to be okay."
Lemon's face softens with a mixture of relief and joy. He steps forward, placing a reassuring hand on your shoulder. "I told you he's tough," he says, his voice thick with emotion. "Tan doesn't go down that easily."
You nod, unable to speak, the relief washing over you in waves. You stay by Tangerines side, his hand still clasped in yours, feeling the weight of the nights fear and uncertainty lift just a little.
Lemon places a gentle hand on your back, his voice soft but firm. "You need to rest. Take a shower, change into some fresh clothes. I'll keep an eye on him."
You hesitate, glancing back at Tangerine "Are you sure?" you ask, your voice wavering with concern.
"I'm sure," Lemon reassures you, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "You look like shit."
"Thanks, Lem." you shake your head at his compliment and make your way to the bathroom. The hot water cascading over you feels like a much-needed cleanse, washing away the grime and the fear of the night. You change into fresh clothes, feeling a bit more human, and take a moment to steady yourself before heading back to the kitchen.
When you return, you see Lemon leaning close to Tangerine, their voices low as Tangerine attempts to sit up, wincing with every movement. Lemon supports him, and you quickly move to their side, slipping an arm around Tangerine to help. Together, you guide him into one of the bedrooms, easing him onto the bed so he can rest more comfortably.
"Thanks," Tangerine murmurs, his face still pale but his eyes more focused.
"You need to rest," you say, brushing a damp strand of hair from his forehead. "We'll be right outside." As you and Lemon turn to leave, Tangerine's voice stops you.
"Wait." His hand reaches out, grabbing yours weakly. You look at Lemon, who gives you a knowing nod.
"I'll give you two some privacy," he says softly. "Call if you need anything." You nod at Lemon before turning back to Tangerine.
"You scared the living daylight out of me last night," you admit, your voice trembling slightly as you sit on the edge of the bed, Tangerine's hand still clasped in yours.
"I didn't mean to," he replies, a weak smile playing on his lips. "But I guess I did give that Burberry suit a run for its money."
You manage a small laugh, tears of relief filling your eyes. "I guess I owe you a new shirt," you say, your voice breaking with emotion as you remember ripping it off him to stop the bleeding.
"And i owe you a pristine car cleaning," he replies, squeezing your hand tightly, his smile widening.
Your laughter fades and you sit in silence for a moment, gathering your courage. You know that now is the time to speak your heart. “Tan I—” you begin, but Tangerine interrupts, his expression soft.
"Thank you." He looks down for a second, watching his hand play with yours. “Sorry, you were saying,” he looks back up into your eyes.
You blink in confusion, feeling your cheeks flush. "Oh, erm… you don’t have to thank me. It’s... it’s part of the job." you mumble.
Tangerine’s grip on your hand tightens, his eyes never leaving yours. "It’s more than just a job to you, isn’t it?"
You swallow hard, the truth pressing against your lips. "Yes," you whisper, barely able to hold back the tears. "It’s more. So much more."
He nods, a bittersweet smile on his face. "Lemon might have hinted at it before, but I’ve suspected for a while."
A mixture of relief and embaressement washes over you. "Lemon and his big mouth," you mutter, a weak laugh escaping your lips.
Tangerine chuckles, but winces in pain. You scold him lightly. "Don’t laugh, you idiot. You need to rest."
He grins despite the pain, bringing his hand to your cheek. "Will you stay?"
You lean into his hand, feeling his touch. "I'll stay." you whisper, tears falling freely now.
Tangerine’s eyes soften, and he reaches out to brush a tear from your cheek. "I’ve been feeling the same way you know. For a while actually."
Your heart races, and you struggle to find your voice. "What?" Tangerine’s eyes flick between your eyes and your lips before he closes the gap, kissing you softly. The kiss is tender, filled with all the unspoken emotions you’ve both been holding back.
Its a clusterfuck, but someone might like it...

This Week in BL - it was a pretty darn good time, frankly
Organized, in each category, with ones I'm enjoying most at the top.
Feb 2024 Wk 4
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series - Thai
The Sign (Sat YT) ep 12fin - Everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun in the fight sequences. I’m very happy for them. I’m not surprised they shot Khem and Chart. A little shocked it wasn’t also Yai, TBH.
Tumblr media
I found this final episode rushed. According to rumors, The Sign was originally slated to be 14 eps, and it probably should’ve been. And I don’t say that often about Thai BL. But we all knew it was getting too bloated for its britches, so I'm not surprised they fumbled the ending. For me personally, it just wasn't that bad. It was fine and I was fine with it.
Tho, Billy does not look good with facial fur, messes up those gorgeous angles.
I was ultimately amused that the solution to the mythology thread was simply to talk to the river god and persuaded him to give up... off screen. It felt very old school wuxia. Or like Aeschylus or something. I did adore the stinger, Saint was basically like “I want wings too”.

FINAL THOUGHTS
This show is literally everything (except straight) all at once. It's BL, queer, band of brothers, romcom, erotica, PNR, fated mates, police procedural, fantasy, mystery, suspense, and slasher. It’s the king of genre mash-up chaos. Sure, it's madness but there is genius in it. Was it a crazy unhinged mess +1 roll for damage? Yes. Yes it was. Did it manage to hold all those tangled threads together? No it did not. Was it also a charming, sexy, engaging, non-stop piece of entertainment? Sure thing. I think this show is basically my KinnPorsche, and frankly I’ve been chasing that dragon naga since KP aired. Is it perfect? No. But it was balls to the wall FUN and that gets a 9/10 from me.
I'm thinking of doing a full recap review (partly because I have so many great screen shots.)
Cherry Magic (Sat YouTube grey) ep 10-11 of 12 - Since this series is following the yaoi so closely, I knew these were the separation eps. (Also I knew with would be a soft non-doom ep 11, Japan rarerly does these.) I like that they used it to show improve communication and development in all relationships, but, frankly, TayNew are just best when they are TayNew together on screen. So yeah. Let’s keep them back together, please?
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, TayNew gifted us a gorgeous loving sweet sex scene. Thanks OG for doing us a solid.
I wanna add, it sure is fun to see New play as soft and vulnerable character, I feel like he hasn’t done that since SOTUS.
(Read all about distribution issues here.)
Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 12fin - 1/3 of this is a sweet romance about a student doctor falling in love with a student chef, and the rest of it is utter dross. Look the OffGun bits were GREAT.. In fact, I think they’re better AS A PAIR in this show than in any of their other BLS. And I'm a hard sell on any OffGun being better than PickRome. Saying that, how can I review a show where I could only tolerate 1/3 of it? Because I didn’t like any other aspect of this show, no other pairs and no other plots. That gives me: 9/10 for the OffGun bits, 5/10 for everything else. Frankly it probably should be an 8 but I gotta go with my gut and it's upset about this so 7/10. Sorry boys. It’s GMMTV’s fault. Your heart was in this show, mine wasn’t.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
City of Stars (Fri iQIYI) ep 4 of 12 - These two are so good at making heart eyes at each other. It’s ridiculous. They don’t need any cartoon images or noises. Moot crush but "I wanna flirt and court more" is so flipping awesome. I love this for them… and us.
1000 Years Old ep 2 of 12 - It’s very silly and we have been gifted with the dorkiest vampire ever. But... the smell thing makes me so happy. And I like that the vamp uses chan/nai or tan = v old fashioned. Nahlak. I love our ghost girl. Did you notice she wasn’t in the room with them but they left an empty chair for her? Also nahlak.
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series - Not Thai
Perfect Propose (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 5 of 6 - Kai was pretty much just “you're a workaholic but I basically married you whether you like it or not.” SMOOCH. What can I say? I'm a sucker for this dynamic.
AntiReset (Taiwan Fri Viki/Gaga) ep 5 of 10 - How is this show so cute? How do they both love and hurt each other so much. They are both just scared of loosing each other. Gah.
Unknown (Taiwan Sat Youku YouTube) 1 of 12 eps - Youku dropped the first ep to their YouTube channel but I doubt we can expect that to continue. Still, it was nice to be able to watch it in a convenient way. I enjoyed it. But I am cautious about it. Of course this is possibly two of my favorite tropes of all time (stepbrothers or a variation + hyung romance). So I’m looking forward to the romantic thread, but from the gritty style, it feels a lot more like a Taiwanese short. Which means it could go very dark and may not end happy.

Although I Love You and You AKA Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - I just don’t know if the main couple should be a couple. But when they finally get around to talking to each other, they sure are lovely. Also how great is it to see a uke initiate a kiss? Even if it’s not a very good kiss.
My Strawberry Film (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 2 of 8 - I am still not sure about this one. I am not contesting its quality, just saying it’s not for me. Also I’m not wild about what amounts to basically a redo of everything that already happened in the first episode from a different perspective. I know it’s a tall order with Japan, but I would like (when it’s a short series) for each new installment to actually move the plot (such as it is) along in someway. Am I asking too much?
Tumblr media
It's done but I have no time
What Did You Eat Yesterday Season 2 AKA Kinou Nani Tabeta? Season 2 (Japan Gaga) 10 eps - will binge when I have any spare time. 2024 is crazy busy for me so far.
The Servant and the Young Master - from Vietnam, it's on YouTube. I will give it a try when I have a window of time.
Began Beginning (Myanmar YouTube) - A Burmese BL? @heretherebedork vouched for it, so I will give it a watch.
It's airing but...
Dead Friend Forever (Thai iQIYI) - rumors are it's interesting but full of unlikable characters. I'm waiting to know how it ends.
Ossans Love Season 2 (Japan Gaga) - 5 years later, will anything have changed? This is Japan so… probubly not. I won't be watching this. I disliked Season one and actively hated the follow ups. No thank you.
Playboyy (Thurs Gaga) 14 eps - Dear Playboyy, it's not you, it’s me… I hate you. You’re about as deep (and as palatable) as a shot glass of cum. While I'm sure you’re someone’s kink, you're my weakest link. Goodbye. I DNFed this at ep 5. Frankly I'm impressed with myself for getting that far. Ends next week TF.
Time the series (Tue Gaga/YT) 10 eps - dropped it at ep 4.
A Secretly Love (Thai WeTV) - I tried but I can't get into my WeTV account anymore and I'm way too lazy to figure it out. Should I bother to go grey for it?
To Be Continued (Thai C3 Thailand YT) - High school sweethearts who had a bad break up reunite when both of them have full time jobs but coming out is still a problem. You can watch this on YT but it has no Eng Subs.
Next Week Looks Like This:
Tumblr media
We're light on content right now, but frankly I'm so busy with work I don't really mind.
3/6 Born to be Y (Thai ????) 10 eps - 14 contestants who audition to compete in Born To Be Y, a program that searches for the best couple of the year to work together on a giant project. Described as semi-reality series. So I probably won't bother.
3/7 Deep Night (Thai iQiyi) 10 eps - Multiple romances set in a host clubs. Nice to see First back on my screen but this is not my favorite setting.
Upcoming BLs for 2024 are listed here. This list is not kept updated, so please leave a comment if you know something new or RP with additions.
THIS WEEK’S BEST MOMENTS

Aemond Targaryen (HOTD) x Alys Rivers - Part 1 Summary: Alys reflects on her time at Harrenhal under the reign of the Prince Regent, Aemond Targaryen. Words: 2.6K
Tumblr media
Chapter Warnings: NSFW, Dubcon, Sexual Content 18+, Smut, War Things, Typical Westeros Misogyny A/N: I fully realize not everyone is an Alys fan and that is perfectly fine. Perhaps once the show airs, I'll change my opinion too. But, as of right now, this is fanfiction and, therefore, my fantasy. I personally tried to humanize Alys, which I hope you all will see. As always, I love reading your thoughts, comments, and reblogs! 😘 And - No tag list since I don't know who will be in to Alysmond. 💙 Beta read by the Queen herself: @arcielee 💙 Beautiful banner gif by the one and only: @myfandomprompts

The prince was insatiable at times.
Sometimes he was gentle, sometimes rough. Though she never knew what she was going to get, the news from the battlefront and the state of affairs of the kingdom often foretold the sort of night she could expect from the Prince Regent.
With the weight of the green faction firmly resting on his shoulders, periodically he would be consumed by raw desire; he was fueled by passion, fueled by rage, fueled by an innate need to dominate and control, as certainty was a rare commodity given the unpredictable nature of war. On those nights, his touch was borderline cruel, harsh and demanding, and she would brace herself, anticipating the forcefulness with which he would claim her, feeling a mixture of pleasure and pain as their bodies collided. She didn’t know how to tell him ‘no’. She didn’t think she could. She needed him just as much as he needed her… or so she was leading him to believe.
But at other times, he would approach her with a soft touch, his fingertips tracing delicate patterns along her skin, his words filled with warmth, just like the first night they spent together. Those were the nights when she had felt cherished and safe, enveloped in his affection and care. She couldn’t ever remember a time where any man of higher standing had ever worshiped her in such a tender way.
Presently confined within the ominous black walls of Harrenhal, tonight she is suffering the prince’s wrath. The recent tidings are dire: Kings Landing has fallen into the hands of the enemy, igniting the red hot rage of the dragon. She knows Aemond feels solely responsible for this significant blow to their cause, for leaving his family unprotected as he seeks out his greatest foe, terrified of what is happening to those he has left behind. Tonight, he uses their intimacy as a conduit for his pent-up emotions, unleashing his fury upon her in a desperate attempt to find temporary respite from the anarchy gripping the Seven Kingdoms and the chaos of his own soul.
In the dimly lit chamber, the air is heavy with tension and the scent of burning candles. Pinned to the bed underneath him, his long fingered hand is wrapped firmly around her throat as he thrusts powerfully, hips snapping into her with a brutal force, a look of utter madness in his lone purple eye. His grip tightens on her throat as his unhinged gaze flicks from her bouncing breasts up to her face.
“Why couldn’t you have told me about this before?” he demands with a harsh growl that echoes off the stone walls, his fingers digging into the delicate skin of her throat so that she can barely breathe, let alone articulate an answer. She chokes slightly, wrapping a dainty hand around his wrist, begging with her eyes for him to soften his grip, which mercifully he does so she can speak.
“My prince,” she gasps as he continues to rut into her, “My visions do not work on command…” She attempts to explain but anger clouds his face and his grip tightens once more on her throat, cutting off any further speech. The Prince Regent does not want to hear her excuses. His desperation and anger is evident in every movement, in every harsh word, in every mark he leaves upon her body. She clenches her jaw and tries not to whimper as his teeth sink into the soft flesh of her neck and breasts, afraid weakness will spur him on further; mentally, she tries to disassociate from what is currently happening to her. She is fully aware that he sees her as a means to an end, a tool to gain an advantage in the chaos of war; she purposefully has supplanted herself in this position, just as he is her mechanism for survival in return.
She knows deep down that she cannot fulfill his demands; her gifted visions do not bend to her whim or will, and she cannot control what they show her. To admit this to him would mean certain death, and so she bears the pain of his grip, the forcefulness of his thrusts, and the weight of his expectations, all while concealing the truth that she cannot deliver what he seeks.
With a guttural groan, his hips stutter as he spills deep inside of her, his fearsome eye closed in some semblance of bliss as he reaches his peak. Without acknowledging any need for her pleasure, he tucks himself back in his pants and departs the room in silence, his rage barely satiated.
Alys lays upon the bed, her chest rising and falling to catch the breath withheld from her while caught in Aemond’s iron grip. She shifts slightly into a more comfortable position, feeling the slickness between her thighs and, despite his brutality, she quietly hopes for a silver-haired babe, further securing her own position and a testament to her worth.
She wonders if Aemond does not think she is capable of having children and, therefore, is much less cautious where he spills his seed. Her moon’s blood is late, but that is not unusual for her, though she still thinks it is too early to tell if they have been successful yet. She rests a hand on her lower belly, willing her womb to quicken, something that hasn’t happened in years.
Exhaustion tugs at the corners of her eyes as she rests, waiting for her soreness and aches to lessen so she may get a few hours sleep. Sighing deeply, she stares into the dying flames of the fire in the hearth and reflects on the last few months of being caught up in this accursed Targaryen civil war. Life with Aemond is, at least, a little better than when Daemon ruled these halls. The Rogue Prince had been a formidable presence, his sharp eyes saw through her facade of obedience from the moment he landed astride his fiery red dragon. She had never underestimated him, knowing that he would not be easy prey to be fooled by her own ambitions.
But when Aemond descended from the heavens upon his colossal, ancient dragon, Alys suspected the young Prince Regent to be a lot more volatile, and thus, a little more vulnerable than his formidable uncle. Aemond was desperate to prove himself in the ongoing war, his ego inflated by the fact that he commanded the largest dragon in existence. His mere presence struck fear into the hearts of warriors, who readily bowed before him as he issued commands with an air of undeniable authority. Yet, beneath his bravado, Alys discerned a deep-seated fear—that of failing his family and being perceived as a disappointment.
Recognizing these traits, she decided to try to leverage this to her advantage. She harbored no ill will toward the prince; in fact, she had developed a fondness for the young man during his stay at the fortress. But she knew that sentimentality had no place in the games of power and politics that defined their lives; the world was cruel, especially to lowborn women, and no one in her position would turn down such an opportunity to wield the influence that came with being entwined with a Targaryen Prince.
It still took considerable effort to gain Aemond's trust, considering his sharp intellect and initial tendency to see her as nothing more than a lowborn woman with limited utility. However, upon learning that she had some experience with the healing arts, he tasked her with tending to the injuries of his soldiers, which she executed without fail.
It was one fateful night that the prince called upon her for help with his own affliction - the vicious scar that marred the left side of his beautiful face. She concocted a poultice aimed at soothing the damaged nerves around his missing eye that was causing him some discomfort that particular night. Witnessing the visible relief on his face once she had applied it, and taking advantage of being alone with the prince for the first time, she seized the opportunity to subtly offer strategic information, mainly concerning Daemon's previous tenure at Harrenhal. Aware of Aemond's desperation for any advantage in the ongoing war, especially for any knowledge that had to do with his uncle, Aemond clung to anything she could tell him about Daemon and his war strategy. She was aware of just enough information to be deemed useful and what she wasn’t aware of, she may have elaborated just a bit, as the prince would never know. This gesture swiftly elevated her status in his eyes, securing her a place in his inner circle sooner than she had even anticipated.
But it wasn’t only Aemond she had to charm; she also understood the importance of gaining favor with Ser Criston Cole, the Hand of the King and Aemond's second in command. Although she suspected that Ser Criston could occasionally see through her intentions, she had a knack for manipulating him too.
Late one evening, after he had a few too many cups of wine, she prophesied his future, whispering words that she knew would resonate with him as they gazed into the flames of the fire. Men in positions of power and influence loved to be told exactly what they wanted to hear and Ser Criston was no exception. Soon, both he and Aemond would come to depend on her clairvoyance much more than either should, but war often strove men to desperate measures and she delicately played this hand when she had no other choice.
Another aspect she did not expect to contest came a few weeks after Aemond and his army came to stay at Harrenhal. It was Aemond who turned their relationship into something more physical; whether it was brought on by boredom or loneliness, she’ll likely never know, but she certainly had not anticipated becoming the Prince Regent’s bedmate. She remembered the night well, the way his fingertips grazed her wrist lightly as she poured him more wine. The intense look of his eye was…different that night, a primal look of longing coupled with a smoldering desire. The bulge in his pants was obvious and it was clear what was intended from her that night.
Worried to displease the prince by refusing him, she settled on her knees in front of him as he sat by the fire. She held his gaze as she slowly unlaced his breeches, pulling his thick, veiny cock from the confines of his trousers, and began pleasuring him with her mouth. Wetness had formed between her own thighs as she sucked him with abandon, enjoying the way his sharp face contorted with the gratification she was giving him. When he shot his seed down her throat, she expected that to be the end of it… until he asked her to show him how to pleasure her in return.
She could perfectly recall the earnest look in his eye as she stared at him with bewilderment; it was highly unusual for a man to be concerned with a woman’s pleasure, let alone a high-born royal like himself. After a moment’s hesitation, she willingly agreed to his request and they spent the night exploring each other’s bodies; she taught the prince about the bundle of nerves located above her entrance and the special spot buried deep inside her cunt. He was an excellent student, mastering her body quicker than she thought possible. His expression was hungry with intensity when he watched her unravel underneath him as she succumbed to his touch, and she knew this gave him a different sense of power over her body. She encouraged this, fully committing to being the prince’s loyal servant in all things, further gaining his trust and, in return, his protection.
She lost count how many times she came that night during their passionate lovemaking, and her hopes ignited further when he shot his seed deep into her cunt. Since then, he had called upon her almost every night to visit his bed, torturing her deliciously as her velvet walls clenched around him repeatedly, milking him dry as her cries of ecstasy filled his room. Afterwards, she would pray to the gods to bless her with his child.
However, she was beginning to wonder if she had played her part just a little too well. Unfortunately, the prince, gaining confidence in their arrangement, had started to abuse his position of power, more often than not just using her body as a vessel for only his pleasure. Her disappointment was palpable; he had shown so much promise and she thought she could teach him to be different, that he would continue to treat her with respect.
But such wishes were not to be, as dark thoughts of the first time she had suffered the prince’s wrath resurfaced. On that fateful night, after a particularly fearsome thunderstorm culminating with bad news of the war beyond Harrenhal, Aemond and Vhagar had descended from the storm-stricken sky in a fury, his dragon’s wings clapping louder than the thunder itself. As was customary, she was summoned to his chambers. Lightning flashed as she entered his dimly lit room, illuminating his countenance —a hauntingly beautiful sight. But as she caught sight of his murderous expression, dread filled her gut and she knew she was about to face the consequences for whatever misfortune had transpired.
Afterwards, he seemed to emerge from a trance, apologizing to her as he gazed upon the red marks from his fingers on her neck, the bite marks on her breasts, the bruises that littered her body. She was dumbstruck once more, never had a man shown remorse for hurting her before. As their tryst continued, their passionate lovemaking became rougher and more animalistic, her own pleasure forgotten at times as he used her body as a means to his own end, but she made the best of it, knowing that to bear his child would outweigh her suffering and reward her tenfold.
Back in the room, these memories of Aemond lulled her to sleep as she curled in his bed, warm and comfortable from the smolder in the hearth. The reprieve was short lived as she was roughly shaken awake, startling at his harsh touch.
“Wake up,” Aemond says gruffly. “We’re leaving.” He refuses to answer any of her questions, throwing clothes at her and telling her to get dressed in a hurry. She has no choice but to obey, noticing he has given her breeches to pull on as well as several warm layers, including riding boots and soft leather gloves.
The moon shines brightly in the nighttime sky as Aemond takes her by the hand, leading her outside the gates of Harrenhal where the immense form of Vhagar looms in the distance. Alys pulls back on Aemond’s arm, terrified, slowing her pace, her unusual attire dawning on her as it is obvious that the prince means for her to fly on Vhagar. The energy that emanates from the massive dragon is unlike anything she has ever felt before. This was an intelligent being that could not be tricked by pretty words or prophetic visions that danced in the flames, for she was fire incarnate herself.
Feeling her tug on his arm, Aemond whirls to face her, impatient, furious. Vhagar rumbles like thunder from behind him, disturbed by her rider’s erratic energy, but makes no effort to move as she waits for him to mount her.
“Aemond…” Alys starts to sputter, “I - I don’t think she’ll let me ride...?” Terror clutches at her throat as she tries to stress to him the dire warning in the pit of her stomach, but he only smirks, taking hold of her chin with his thumb and forefinger, his breath fanning her face.
“Vhagar does as I command,” he says confidently as if this could assuage her fear, “but I am going to need your help with something else.”

"A Secret for the Stars"
Tumblr media
— ♬ Fyodor was a regular at the tavern you work at. But behind every polite smile and gesture, was a different man he'd rather not show you...yet.
— ♬ Fyodor Dostoevsky x Reader, SFW, 1920s AU, fem-bodied reader, Fyodor is kinda lowkey obsessive and unhinged on this one (I mean, when is he not?), 2.4k words, no beta
— ♬ hello, yes, I have returned to serve my first bsd fanfic and it's this russian rat, hope you guys enjoy though
Tumblr media
The evening was particularly colder than yesterday. People occasionally strolled by in the streets, pulling their coats tighter and rubbing their palms to produce warmth. Pitiful beggars were reaching their dirty hands out to every passerby, their pathetic countenance left unseen by others, making it impossible to extract a little bit of sympathy. In rare instances, someone would look at a beggar's face, but it's either with unconcealed disgust or sheer sympathy. A man represents the latter, his gloved hand digs into the pocket of his coat and gives the beggar five coins worth of money. The beggar's face lights up significantly, eyes watering with heartfelt compassion at the male stranger as he thanks them silently with a weak nod. He nods back before resuming his walk.
He takes each step with confidence and certainty. Anyone who lands their gaze on him can tell he's a man of rationality. A man who knew how to form foolproof plans and had success etched on the palm of his hand. His ebony peaked cap rests comfortably on top of his dark head, his complexion rivaling the snow, and his slim but tall build utters grace. He had on a black coat with a dark waistcoat underneath, his white dress shirt and red tie peaked out. His charcoal trousers and boots were cleaned and polished. One would take him for a nobleman or someone with great importance.
Deep violet eyes scan the old tavern ahead, it was a place he frequented in after his daily 'affairs'. From the sufficient light through the windows, he deduces that the tavern was packed with drunkards this evening. Nonetheless, he enters. The scent of alcohol and tobacco filled the atmosphere, he merely gags. He strides to his favorite spot, near the back where nobody bothers to occupy. He removes his hat and takes a seat. His observant eyes watch the sea of drunkards hollering and insulting each other during a game of cards, a few were slumped over on their tables smoking, and some had managed to pass out on the disgusting wooded, beyond intoxicated.
Amid the chaos, he hears soft footsteps approach. He holds back a smile for he recognizes the owner of the footsteps. He carefully turns his head and his eyes meet the warmest [Eye color] orbs he has ever encountered.
"Good evening, Fyodor! May I fetch your usual?"
"Please, of course, my dear"
Fyodor replies with familiarity. You and Fyodor only knew each other by name and face, you two didn't have any conversations but only polite greetings. You worked as a waitress in this tavern. Amongst the rough faces available in the place, yours by far are the most comforting. Fyodor found you fascinating. He couldn't exactly point his finger at it but it had something to do with your indifference in your environment. You've served him the same drink for months to the point a routine was formed and became familiar.
An educated man such as he knows how to pay your service with the right amount of money and a polite smile, unlike most of the hounds that occupied the tavern. Fyodor could barely hide his disgust at seeing drunkards stretch out their arms in an attempt to snatch you into their laps, their greedy and dirty hands testified to their perverted minds. However, you remained unshaken. You avoided their attempts at snatching as you ignored their whistles for a 'pretty young lady' to come over.
If Fyodor were to be a lesser man, he would've agreed with those perverted drunkards. You had a gentle face and complexion. Your eyes glimmered like the stars in the midnight sky while your smile resembled the sunrise. Your body suggested a healthy shape. And your movements weren't one of a graceful swan, but rather, a woman who knew what she was worth. Fyodor had an assumption of your hidden intelligence, you must be one of the fortunate ones in this poverty-stricken city to have learned how to read and write. Though, he would like to understand why you have chosen this occupation. For your good looks, you could've become an actress at the local theatre, it could've landed you great opportunities to travel overseas if you performed well. Or you could've, like any beautiful maiden, been married off to a wealthy man and lived your life with effortless luxury.
But he thinks he preferred you this way, serving him his vodka. When you returned with his drink, you didn't wander off, instead, you stood there as if waiting for him to speak up. Fyodor's lips curl up into a smirk at this.
"Thank you, [Name]. How is your day?"
"It's as equally as exhausting as the previous days, but it is nothing I couldn't manage"
"Hm, I admire your resilience. After all, how is one to strive in an environment like this?"
Fyodor gestures to the wild atmosphere at the tavern, you only laughed and waved your hand off.
"It's only necessary for me to try and strive here. I cannot afford to lose this job"
"And why's that? Are there no other opportunities?"
"I'm afraid no, my friend. You see, I have an unfinished education and a massive family debt I am responsible for helping to pay off"
"I see, how unfortunate"
This was the first proper conversation Fyodor has had with you and he immediately absorbs all of the information you have unconsciously given him. He greedily wastes your time in thirst to know more.
"You look famished, my dear. Would you like to take a seat for a moment?"
"Oh, only for a brief while"
You accepted his offer and sat across from him. Fyodor keeps the conversation alive by inquiring about more about yourself through innocent questions. He's both surprised and amused that you're answering his questions truthfully. He realizes you weren't bashful or meek. He recalls encountering women and seeing them with tinted cheeks and silently batting their eyelashes at him, hoping he'd be the first to speak or to fall for them. How absurd! Yet you have never batted your eyelashes at him, from what he gathers from your mannerisms, you only view him as the only peaceful regular at this wretched tavern. His eyes narrowed when one of those stupid drunkards called you to serve him another bottle of alcohol.
"If you'll excuse me..."
You say to him as you flutter away from his presence. You haven't returned to his table for a while and it's making him impatient. Fyodor was determined to stay until you came back, watching and enduring you get constantly harassed by those foolish men. It was nearly midnight when the tavern usually closes, you ushered every drunk customer out before you began to clean up. Fyodor was the last to remain, on purpose. While you haven't graced him with your attention since you left the conversation, he has finished scheming.
"Have you gone tipsy, my friend?"
You asked him when you finally approached his table. Fyodor shakes his head and smiles.
"Oh no, I am not drunk, my dear"
"Well, that's a relief! I'm afraid you have to leave for the tavern is about to close"
"Is that so? Oh, I have not realized how late it was! But how will you walk home at this late hour?"
You chuckled as he perfected the feigned concerned expression on his face, it had seemed to effectively fool you.
"I am comfortable with finding my way home alone, Fyodor"
"Nonsense, a lady without company at this darkest hour isn't safe. May I accompany you at least until the end of the street?"
"How kind of you, my friend! Yes, but let me finish cleaning up first"
You turned to tidy the tavern, completely missing the cunning smirk on Fyodor's face. He selfishly watches you move around the tavern, cleaning tables while humming a tune and bending over to pick up the fallen chairs. His violet eyes gleamed with greed as he etched each movement into his memory.
"Are you finished, my dear?"
"Yes, let us head out"
Both of you exited the tavern, a cold breeze greeting you. He watched you pull your worn-out coat close to your shivering figure as he walked beside you. The street was dimly lit, it was sufficient to hide the satisfied look on his face. Suddenly, you looked up at him with curiosity.
"May I ask what job do you have, Fyodor?"
"I am involved with the government"
There was a look of surprise on your features. Of course, Fyodor's reply was neither the full truth nor half a lie. He needed you to think highly of him.
"No wonder you dress with importance! I did not know one of our regulars was a famous man"
"I am well-known in some parts of the city, but I'm far from famous, my dear"
"Well, then you must receive a lot of invitations and love letters every day!"
You beamed at him, Fyodor admits that he adores your natural curiosity of him. He doubts he'd be willing to show you who he truly was. Because he was more than that polite customer you serve vodka to almost every evening. His acquaintances and enemies regarded him the same way; he was a cynical man with a skill for scheming. He's selfish when it comes to his personal goals. His name has caused the destruction of many that have dared to stumble in his way. But he chuckles and replies to you.
"How insightful you are. I indeed receive a lot of invitations and love letters, but I only respond to letters with important affairs"
"I hope you're not the kind that burns love letters to keep his bath warm"
You remarked as you gazed forward. Fyodor merely freezes at what you said. He knows he has no room for romance in his life. Rationality doesn't require emotions. He could choose to laugh and tell you that he does burn love letters but he doesn't use them to keep his bath warm. Though the love letters were sufficient enough to keep his bath warm, he sees no form of use for them. They are nothing but unreciprocated affections sprawled on paper.
"No, my dear. That would be heartless"
"That's a relief. I do not think you're a cruel man, Fyodor"
Oh, how quick you were to accept that false answer. Fyodor preferred you to perceive him as a harmless man and leave this pristine image of him unstained. You were talkative, and it was the first mistake you'd ever made, if anyone who knew him saw this, they would warn you. One shouldn't be at ease to open up to a man like Fyodor, he's the kind of man to use anything you tell him against you. However, you weren't an enemy and he wasn't planning on making you one. He liked what he had with you now, for the time being.
Halfway down the street, Fyodor thinks how he would like to suck the life out of you. The way you babbled on and on about the most trivial parts of your life gave an impression that you were begging him to ruin you. The pure nativity and innocence you displayed in your eyes made his throat dry. Behind the smile he's giving you was a dark thought, he was prepared to use you in any way he could. It was surprising how effortless it was to manipulate you.
As you both reached the end of the street, you peered up at him with a smile. The street was divided into two; the path you stood behind was filled with bright streetlights while the one on his side had faded lighting.
"Will I see you again tomorrow at the tavern?"
"Of course, you will, my dear"
"Thank you for walking with me"
There was a different form of a smile on your face, it looked tender, and it almost reminded him of someone's mother. Fyodor had always watched you for a long time, he'd seen every expression you had to offer but this smile was new. And something that wasn't part of his scheme, occurred: you have reached to the tips of your toes to place a chaste kiss on his left cheek. For a moment, his contemptuous thoughts of you vanish. A terrifying warmth blooms in his chest. Fyodor stares at you unblinking.
"Goodbye, Fyodor"
He couldn't open his mouth to reply as you walked down that street on your way home. What in God's name was that? With a gloved hand, he reaches for his left cheek and recoils back like he's been burnt. Why did you do that? Fyodor furrowed his eyebrows and frowned. How disgusting! Yet his skin kept tingling. His mind replayed every smile, every laugh, and every moment he'd shared with you. He shakes his head. Pathetic! He thinks. However, he imagined you sharing those moments with somebody else morphing his hands into fists.
Fyodor grumbles as he makes his way down the dimly lit street. His eyes stare up at the sky towards the stars. Those glimmering stars only reminded him of your eyes and he scoffs. The stars perhaps have an idea of the feeling forming in his bosom. The stars have witnessed every cry of a man filled with despair and every confession of a man filled with love. But in this instance, Fyodor would tell the stars a secret instead.
A secret of his desire to obtain you. They would know how he wanted to pull you by the hand and run his hands through your hair. They would know how he would inhale your scent and steal your innocence. The stars would know how Fyodor has fallen captive under the mysterious spell that has got him determined to have you. He would rather pluck his eyes out than fall on his knees in front of you. No, he would never beg. Fyodor knows better than to beg, to beg means to admit defeat. But if God decides to take you away from him, well...he must be prepared to be a heretic.
Only the stars know now of his cunning plans for he has muttered it up to the midnight sky. Fyodor knows that stars burn up and die in the end so his secret would be safe for as long as he's alive. He laughed to himself as he continued to walk down the street.

As she runs all her remaining memories come back, the most persistant being the ones before the apocalypse. With her powers fully returned it is a sensory overload that causes her to run blindly, the ground and hedges starting to shake...
Back at the church, pandemonium erupts. Gregory has broken free and followed Lucy out of the church. As has Sophie, so concerned with Lucy that she doesn't notice the rest of her siblings in the congregation.
At this point in the season, and in this scene, the remaining Bridgertons/Umbrellas have roughly split into two groups.
The firts group consist of those who have spent their time as the working class: Kate (with a three year old Neddy), Simon, Daphne, Eloise, Phillip (and their set of twins), Colin, Gareth and Benedict. They are outside the church having followed a frantic Gregory, in a failed attempt to stop him entering the church without a plan.
The second group are the ones who became gentry, and are present in the church: Anthony, Penelope, Hyacinth, Michael and Francesca. This group runs out of the church, in an attempt to follow Gregory. At their coattails, a man with a cane and a pocektwatch with the initials HD rises, and calls his team with a smirk. Finally his prey have revealed themselves....
Him and his team, with pistols and other weirdly advanced weaponary, chase the second group of Umbrellas/Bridgertons, cornering them in a section of the maze and raining a cascade of bullets.
Just as Francesca goes to throw up a forcefield the bullets halt. They hover in the air until they transform into a flock of tiny, sharp-beaked birds that with one bird call, rip the soldiers apart.
The group turns to find round Kate, Simon and Benedict with their arms outstretched. The others crowded behind them.
"What the?" Anthony whispers, when Benedict closes his eyes motions his hands out and up--erecting a wall to protect them from bullets without breaking a sweat.
A beat of silence--and then they are rushing together.
Anthony barrels into Kate, Hyacinth leaps into Gareth's arms, Daphne practically sobs as she pulls Francesca into a hug ensuring that the latter doesn't sqush her baby bump.
Penelope holds back even as Colin walks up to her with a small smile. Gingerly she allows him to take her hand and kiss it, her guarded expression softening for a moment.
Various whispers and declarations--apart from Benedict whose blue eyes are cloudy and seem lost in another space.
Kate clutches Anthony as he says over and over,
"I love you, I love you, I love you." Their kisses are rushed, their tears rolling down each other's cheeks.
Kate pulls away with her eyes as bright as her beam.
"I love you too...now, there's someone I think you should meet." She turns slightly and lifts Neddy out of his sling and onto her hip. Anthonys eyes widen.
"Is that?"
Kate cannot contain her smile as Neddy's eyes widen and he cries,
"Papa! Papa!"
"Anthony," she says, her heart finally settling. Her boys finally together. "This is your son--Edmund."
Kate's smile falters as she watches Anthony turn as white as a sheet, shivering like a spectre.
"No, no--he--I--"
"Anthony?"
"Where is Gregory?" Daphne asks, distracting all, and allowing Anthony to turn away from Kate whose heart starts to crumble.
"We need to find them, and Lucy," Simon says. "We need to protect her." He says with unwavering conviction.
"I'm not sure," Michale says, "I know Luce ran off into the maze, Greogry and Soph followed--"
Michael is jerked back around.
"Did you say Sophie?" Benedict asks, his blue eyes finally crystal clear.

Hi! Hope you're doing well! I have a request for Darksiders.
War finally introduces his animal loving girlfriend to Ruin.
Thank you! I absolutely adore Darksiders and War is most definitely my favorite.
A STEED OF LOYAL FIRE
◤✘DARKSIDERS REQUESTS | CATALOGUE War x Female Reader
Tumblr media
NOTES ↳ Hello dear anon, I am doing very well thank you! I hope you enjoy my take on the request -- Ruin is such a good boy once you get to know him. WARNINGS❕ ↳ Some loving affection given to Ruin — just general fluffy content — War gets a little flustered... just a little bit — I think that's it
✎ 1.3k ────────────────────────
You’ve heard tales of the red rider’s horse. A beast of endless stamina, a raging war-engine that carries upon his saddle the swift justice of pain and chaos. He is a fearsome hoofed stallion of the fabled apocalypse. Any unfortunate soul would be unlucky to witness such a sight barrelling towards them. But not you.
War came to learn quickly that other than your overall genuine and compassionate nature, you have a particular fondness for animals. In the bounds of New Haven, tucked in its luscious and serene gardens and pastures where humans — under the careful watch of Makers and Horsemen — thrive to rebuild a society lost.
And where War leads you far enough away from prying eyes to finally share with you that he considers the extension of himself, other than his giant blade Chaoseater that can cleave a demon’s torso in one fell sweep.
Answering the telepathic call of his rider, a wave of heat scorches the rolling grass into deadened patches. You leap back from the way your skin almost burns under such a hot gust of pressure.
Hooves resound with unbridled haste seemingly out of nowhere before a magnificent form sheds through the fabric of realms and time, summoned by War’s will to manifest him. Four limbs lead a galloping stomp of crackling, molten fire, marching forward with a haughty whine teetering gruffly in the steed’s gullet. Your eyes grow wide and your mouth falls open, stricken by an overwhelming sense of awe. Ruin’s large chest vibrates heavily as ashes bellow from two burning nostrils that glow dully with the internal, phantom fire that writhes within and hardens his body like rock.
The horse is sternly excitable, almost unhinged you could guess, stirred with unrivalled wish to sprint a burning trail in his wake. War’s position moves forward as if he means to protect you. His hand raises to glide and pat the war horse’s neck.
“Ruin,” War says firmly with complete control in his voice, uttering something in a dialect you cannot understand nor place its earthly origin. “Calm. This is my love, be gentle with her.”
Ruin’s large nose flexes and he snorts a flaring breath of understanding that appears to rumble through him entirely. When he finds that his trusted companion won’t charge at you, he turns to you expectantly, fingers curling in indication for you to step forward.
Your awe is clear as day upon your face, widening your eyes beyond that which War has ever seen on your face — or perhaps he’s seen it once, the reminder blooming a crimson blush to dust his cheeks.
You take a step forward, cautious and slow to not spook Ruin but he remains undisturbed by your presence. Much like War, he keeps a consistent line of eye contact, neighing lowly whenever your eyes fall to break it.
“War, he’s—” Where to even begin, your voice stumbles slightly. “He’s beautiful.”
An ashen brow kinks up. It’s a compliment he wouldn’t expect from a human, not with the adorable fluffy animals Earth once had. But Ruin appears to enjoy the positive attention, his posture standing higher and he cocks a front leg forward like he were posing for you.
You giggle and War’s ears ring delightfully at the sound. You come closer under your lover’s guidance and his hand finds yours to bring it against Ruin’s neck.
You can feel the thrumming beat of breath, his strong heartbeat that ripples through his ebony hide, and your entire body is consumed whole by fire; what you imagine fire would feel like if it didn’t sear and burn and char your flesh.
Your other hand follows suit and your palms run along Ruin’s coat. His large head flicks back, the motion pushing his thick mane in waves that mimic the hungering reach of flames. More ash pushes from his nostrils, ears attentive and pricking in many directions, mostly when your voice softly coos adoring praises, nails applying a soothing scratch that almost makes Ruin purr with a deep rumble like thunder.
“Who’s a good horse for War? You are, yes you’re such a good horse.”
Emboldened on both parts, Ruin curls his head around and pushes his snout into your stomach and you stumble for a moment under the sheer force of it. What would have been a feathery caress against War’s palm, you’re almost knocked flat on your arse.
War placed his hand along Ruin’s mane but you quickly assure your dear nephilim with a charming smile.
“I’m okay, he’s okay.”
In seeing you persevere and continue lavishing Ruin with love and affection uniquely set to humans, War cannot help but admire you. How gentle you are and the way you pay very close attention to Ruin’s body language, understanding what he likes and doesn’t and respecting his boundaries.
When War had found you, you were a closed off and skittish thing that often flinched whenever he so much as spared a concerned, furrowed glare your way. But as time passed and trust was earned, you flourished into this amazing and wonderful personality, your soul shimmering as a bright beacon amidst the dark and gloomy storm that he alone was fighting. He fondly remembers every step you took together from thereon in. How much you looked out for him, cared about him when he got hurt. Your destinies intertwined for the better. He could not see it for the worst.
Ruin whickers, lips loosely rubbing and pouting together as his head towers over you and he presses his snout into your hairline, blowing heavy gusts of heat over you in showering waves. You laugh loudly and lovingly while you move your hands to pat along his long nose. Again he rumbles a deep-noted sound that calms your fears and worries. Being around animals all your life often made you feel at home, no matter where you found yourself. Before the apocalypse, you would volunteer for animal rescues, you would walk packs of dogs on your free days for less money than you should have earnt from the task; but being in their company was enough for you. You’d look after pets for family, friends and the kind, elderly neighbours across the way.
With each stroke down the powerful steed’s side, touch hindered by the blackened leather and metal carvings of the saddle, you sigh with a heave of contentment. Everything that could possibly be wrong in your life vanishes when your eyes meet the blazing flare of Ruin’s.
“He’s taken a liking to you, my love,” War says fondly, the shyest of smiles tugging at the corner of his scarred lips.
“I’m glad for it.” Your grin as you take your eyes off of Ruin to look at War. His eyes remain on you, studying you and you just know he’s in his head.
“Does this mean we can go for rides together?” You had meant it to be cheeky for the most part. However, War is enchanted by the way your face morphs into a pure state of surprise and gladness when he offers a leaned bow of his head.
“Ruin isn’t opposed to… the idea.” Ruin huffs loudly, head moving back and forth with a wild buck, stirred into a state of unrest. Your teeth peek through the stretch of your smile and eagerly, you accept War’s aid in helping you into the saddle. With some assistance on Ruin’s part as he stoops his front half lower, your leg kicks over and dangle at his sides. Once you’re seated, War takes up the remainder of the saddle behind you and grasps at the reins, you doing much the same.
Between your legs, each breath that Ruin takes is powerful. War’s grip tightens and his chest physically firms against your back and with a heavy boot kicking into his side, Ruin is sent into a gallop. A roar of a neigh drowns all sound out as wind suddenly sweeps through your hair and you’re off on an adventure across New Haven with your beloved red rider and the best steed there ever was in these lands.

BOOPED!
Tumblr media
Carolina's phone would not stop "bleeping"! But when a friend helps her get to the bottom of it, she and Trystan are in for some startling discoveries about each other.
Book Boop: Crimes of Passion (post Book 2) Pairing: Trystan Thorne x Carolina Rose (F!MC) Characters: Luke Watanabe Summary: See above Rating: Teen Words: 2.150 A/N: All right, so I may have been a total party-pooper with the "boops," but that got me thinking how my OTPs would have handled them... and that led me here! I hope you enjoy it! Participating in @choicesaprilchallenge24 - prompt - "You're not going to believe what I just found."
Tumblr media
*Bleep*
*Bleep*
*Bleep*
The utter silence of the Ginovesi Detective Agency’s offices was rattled each time Carolina’s phone “bleeped.” Trystan eyed the phone warily, glancing between it and Carolina every time it went off. For a woman who demanded complete silence when they were focusing on a case, she was doing her best to ignore it, but Trystan knew it was only a matter of time...
“¡Ay, Dios mío!” she cried out... and there it was. “¿Qué carajo es esto?”
Taking the phone in hand, she frantically tapped away at it, but the bleeps kept pouring in, and with each new arrival, Trystan watched as his girlfriend became more unhinged. “¿Qué es esta mierda?”
That’s when Luke entered the mix. Slinking into the office with his hands nonchalantly stuffed in his pockets, he slouched into a chair with a half smile.
“Oh no. I heard nothing but Spanish coming out of you from way down the hall. This can’t be good.”
“It’s not!” Carolina spat as Trystan debated whether her frustration was utterly adorable or good cause for him to evacuate the office as quickly as possible. “I can’t get this fucking thing to stop bleeping!”
There were many things Trystan could have said or done, but as was often the case for the former prince, he reclined in his chair and chose chaos.
“It seems one of her former suitors isn’t taking the hint and won’t let go easily,” he smirked. “While I may no longer be a monarch, I still have some pull. One phone call to Lydea, my love, and I will have that man relieved of his testicles. Give me a name and number,” he winked. “I assure you, the bleeps will stop within the hour.”
Carolina glared at him with anger in her eyes, but despite her desire to remain cross, his stupid grin managed to do her in.
“Bold of you to assume it’s a he, your highness,” she derided. “There is a far greater likelihood that it would be a she. So, someone will be deprived the pleasure of performing an orchiectomy today.”
“An orchiectomy...” Luke queried, pulling up Google on his phone, but Trystan pushed it aside.
“Spare yourself the pain, man. It’s the art of relieving someone of their balls.”
“Ouch!” Luke shuddered. “Of course, I can see how the inability to do that would cause some Drakovian guard to fall into a deep depression, but still... ouch."
Trystan turned back to Carolina with a shrug. “It’s OK, love. They can remove body parts from women as well.”
“That’s so good to know,” she laughed. “But I’m afraid this isn’t as salacious as a spurned lover trying to get me to bend to their will.”
“Then what is it?” Trystan asked. “Your phone’s been going off all day, and I’ve never heard that notification tone before.”
“It’s,” she began, stopping herself as four curious eyes stared at her, eager for a response. “It’s... nothing. I’ll just turn the sound off my phone.”
“GASP!” Luke mocked. “During work hours! When you could potentially miss... something?”
It would have ended there for Luke, but Trystan wasn't done. Realizing something was amiss, he closely watched his love, not about to let her off the hook.
“Why don’t you just turn notifications off? What’s so embarrassing? Is it... Facebook?” he chuckled.
Carolina was an animal entrapped in a corner, desperate for an escape, but when it became clear that none existed, she surrendered. Burying her face into her hands with a languid groan... she confessed.
“I freaking wish! It’s .... worse!”
“Worse than Facebook?” Luke said with feigned horror. “What is it? Your old OKCupid app?”
“No!” Carolina said, throwing a pencil his way.
“Your old FarmersOnly account!!!”
“What?” Trystan snickered.
“I didn’t have a FarmersOnly account! Well, I did... but it was just a joke to frighten Uncle Tommy! Besides, I deleted that long ago!”
Trystan turned to Luke in confusion. “What... what’s FarmersOnly?”
“That’s unimportant, “Carolina interrupted. “It’s... it’s my Tumblr. I haven’t used it for longer than I can remember; I didn't even know it was still on my phone. But I’ve gotten like seven hundred notifications today, and I have no idea why!”
“So,” Luke shrugged. “Turn the notifications off.”
“I can’t! I forgot my password... and before you say it, I don’t remember what e-mail I created the account with. So I can’t reset it.”
“So,” Luke shrugged again. “Just delete the app! Problem solved.”
“But the detective in me needs to figure this out," she sighed. "Who knows why this is happening? When I go home tonight, I’ll try to remember what e-mail accounts I had circa 2016. Maybe I can figure it out.”
“It was probably something like myglitteringlittlenyyankeepony@ yahoo.com or something like that,” Luke laughed.
“More like [email protected],” she tittered.
“Dear Lord,” Trystan groused. "Both sound dreadful, but can we circle back to something potentially even more embarrassing? You had a Tumblr account?”
“Oh, shut up!” Carolina defended. “It was 2016! All the cool kids had a Tumblr account!”
“I didn’t,” Luke announced.
“I said cool,” Carolina retorted. Still, Trystan was undeterred.
“What on earth did you use your Tumblr account for? Were you in a fandom?”
He had intended to let it go, but when Carolina’s cheeks turned brighter than any apple he ever witnessed in a Cordonian orchard, he knew the quest was just beginning. Raising a brow in wicked delight, he teased. “Yesssss....”
“I was into Divergent,” she said, raising her hands. “Big fan... The Hunger Games, too.”
“All right,” Trystan nodded with a smile. “I can see that....”
But now it was Luke’s turn to incite, “Really? Because I could have sworn you once told me you used to write fanfiction for Princess Di.....”
“Obviously, you’re mistaken!” Carolina shouted. “Katniss! Katniss x Peeta, my OTP! That’s why I was on Tumblr!”
“Wait,” Trystan interrupted. “Princess Di? Were you into Princess Diana?”
“No,” Carolina spat. “Luke is just losing his mind, that’s all!”
“Oh, come now, princess,” Luke chided. “Is this the foundation you want to build your relationship on? A throne of lies?”
“No,” Trystan smiled gleefully. “Thrones of lies are bad. Very bad."
“I believe they are,” Luke chuckled. "I'm sorry, Carolina. It’s confession time.”
Trystan slunk over to Carolina’s side, playfully nudging her with his shoulder. “Time’s up, dear. Tell me the truth, or I’ll have to employ ancient Drakovian torture measures to get you to speak!"
“Yeah! And not the kinky ones you’re into!” Luke grinned.
“Fine,” Carolina exhaled with disgust, her voice barely a whisper. “I was very into... The Princess Diaries."
Trystan’s lips began to curl, the dimple in his cheek becoming more pronounced. “I’m sorry... what?”
“The Princess Diaries! OK!! I used to love The Princess Diaries!”
“In 2016!” Luke scoffed. “Weren’t those movies popular in like... 2004?”
"So?! I was a little behind the times. I was a nerd... so sue me! My Tumblr was all about The Princess Diaries... are you satisfied now?” She asked, hiding her face in shame.
Trystan rubbed his chin in delight as he allowed Carolina to sweat it out, thinking of the best way to torture his prey.
“The Princess Diaries! This all makes so much sense now!”
“What?” Luke wondered aloud. “That she always had a soft spot for monarchy scum?”
“Well, yes,” Trystan responded. “ But, seriously... how long did you have these fantasies about being a long-lost princess, my dear?”
“What! Never! I’m a Boricua from the Bronx! A freaking badass, bisexual Boricua from the Bronx! Being a princess was nothing I aspired to!”
“Yet you were writing Princess Diaries fanfic?” Trystan tsked. “Then... you relentlessly pursued me.”
Horrified, she slammed her hand on the desk. “I DID NOT!!! You know I didn’t!”
“I’m not sure what to believe anymore, Carolina. Right now, I’m feeling sort of cheap and used.”
Luke howled with laughter. “In fairness, there’s nothing cheap about you, Trystan. Used? Sure, I can see that. But cheap? No way.”
“Thank you, Luke,”  Trystan acknowledged.
“Don’t mention it.”
But Carolina wasn't smiling. “I never had some monarchy fetish! I just liked the stupid movie! It was escapism for me, OK? But you know damn well you being a royal was a detriment to me, not a bonus! I wasn’t all, ‘Oh, now I need to land this guy!’ you know that!”
“I can't be sure anymore. I think I have to have this investigated to make sure your intentions with me are pure!”
“You know that’s not a bad idea,” Luke nodded as he typed away on his laptop. “I do know of a good agency that could help you.”
“LUKE!” Carolina yelled, so flustered that she hadn’t noticed her phone stopped bleeping several minutes before.
“Relax... princess...” Luke teased. “I just hacked into your Tumblr. The bleeping should stop now.
“But... how?” She asked, immediately catching his sarcastic stare. “Yeah, don’t bother answering that.”
Trystan stood over her shoulder as she opened the app. “700 notifications? Seriously, why the hell did I get all these notifications today?”
“It looks like they were having some kind of a “boop” thing for April Fools? I guess it’s like the old Facebook poke? Everyone seems to be sending boops.”
“But why?” Carolina asked, dumbfounded. "Don't people have better things to do with their time?"
“Look,” Luke chirped. “I'm capable of doing a great many things, but making sense out of anything that happens on Tumblr.... that’s asking too much...even of me.”
“True,” Carolina mumbled.
“He makes sense,” Trystan nodded in agreement. “Now, let’s read some of your old fanfic.”
“Oh, hell no!” Carolina insisted. “There’s no way!”
“Please?” Trystan begged, with puppy-dog eyes in full effect.
“All right, fine! But only on one condition!”
“Name it!”
“You show me your old Tumblr... and don’t lie and tell me you didn’t have one. We both know you did.”
“Sorry, my love,” Trystan shrugged. “But I didn’t.”
The couple turned to Luke when he sighed again. “Do you really want to start this relationship sitting on a throne of lies, Trystan? Or should I call you PlayfulPrince315.  Dude! Using your actual birthday? I know you were a tween then, but still, you should have known better!”
“Playful... Prince?” Carolina beamed. “OK, Mr. Playful, what were you doing on Tumblr?”
“Oh, that’s easy,” he winked. “I was searching for beautiful want-to-be princesses from the Bronx.”
“Nah,” Luke laughed. “Minecraft. He was into Minecraft.”
“Really?” Trystan asked, dragging a hand down his face.
“Hey, I outed Carolina, and she’s my best friend. You knew you weren’t safe.”
“Minecraft?” Carolina said with mock disgust. “Tell me it wasn’t Minecraft porn... please?”
“WHAT?" Trystan asked in shock. "Was that even a thing?”
“Sadly, it was,” Carolina laughed. “I’m sorry, but I need to know if you were into that. I don’t care how long ago it was; I am not marrying any man who once got off to Minecraft porn.”
A devilish grin slowly spread on Trystan’s face as he stepped confidently toward Carolina.
“Marry... you say?” His grin miraculously grew wider. “Have you been thinking about marrying me, Carolina?”
“I... uh, I...” she couldn't have been more grateful for Luke jumping out of his seat.
“Well, I think I’ll leave you two alone. You can handle this conversation without me.”
He headed toward the door, but not before handing Trystan a scrap of paper. “Here, this is your Tumblr password, Playful Prince. You two can figure out your weird pasts alone.”
“Oh, like you didn’t have weird things in your past!” Carolina yelled after him.
“At least they aren't archived for prosperity on Tumblr,” Luke grinned. “And I’m relieved to say it doesn’t look like Ruby has to deal with that, either. But I can’t wait to tell her about the two of yours.”
Luke whistled as he exited, turning one more time before shutting the door. “Oh, and Playful one? You got 200 fewer boops than Carolina... and you’re royalty, man? Embarrassing! Just... embarrassing! I don't think she should consider marrying you!"
Trystan turned to his blushing girlfriend. "So, back to that marrying thing.... how often does that cross your mind?"
"Uh, you know what," she said, reaching up for a soft but passionate kiss. "Why don't I tell you all about FarmersOnly instead."
"Uninterested," he beamed.
"All right," she said, pulling out her phone. "Then let's say I allow you to read 3,500 words of angst I wrote about Princess Mia and Prince Harry circa 2016?"
Trystan's eyes lit up. "Seriously?"
"Here," she said, handing him her phone. "Go through my whole masterlist. By the time you're done... you'll forget anything else."
Trystan slunk back into the chair, tossing his feet on the desk for comfort. "Don't count on it," he winked. "Don't count on that... at all."

Apologies if this comes across as somewhat unhinged, but I'm having many thoughts and emotions with this layer, and the many many implications therein.
I think, now that we're getting a better picture of humanity's journey in the world of Ultrakill, that one of the major themes of the game is abandonment, and what is left in the aftermath. After the Long Night, humanity abandoned the machines for the most part, especially the Earthmovers and V1. Humans abandoned the Hell project and the terminals in the bowels of Hell. God abandoned Humanity and Heaven, giving up on them after so long.
And what happens afterwards?
Heaven falls apart, the Council attempting to maintain some form of order in the wake of chaos. The Earthmovers decay as monuments to failure. Machines without purpose as war ceases to be. The Hell expeditions... well. That brings me to my next point.
The victor in all of this, the one who gains? Hell. Hell, who welcomes in the abandoned and revels in Heaven's chaos. Who learns and feeds on the remnants of Humanity and God's failures. A place of cruelty that feeds on what's left behind and welcomes the last remnant of those left behind with open arms. V1. The final project of the war.
I just think abandonment runs through this game like a vein.
YES YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!! the game is laden with abandonment and utter neglect, that the things left behind are not taken care of, no loose ends tied, but instead left to rot indefinitely. and hell absolutely gains in this, because it was the very first of them all to be left behind - god's rejection of it and its subsequent neglect allowed it to grow as a garden left to weeds, and now it clothes itself in the robes of its abandonment. heaven crumbles into dysfunction, humanity grows calamitous, the machines run on automated, long-defunct orders, and hell, suddenly, becomes the house. it is the long abandoned work now left in a world full of nothing but the mirror-images of itself. ones that don't have its experience, its mind, its comfort in being what it is. everything we see in this world is an orphan, still alive, still doing its work, but forgotten by its maker. god left his creations and humans, in his image, did exactly the same with theirs. they were not destroyed. they were not repurposed. they were not guided into something better. they were all just left. and now hell delights in how they all face what it once did eons ago, reaping all the benefits of a chaos it has long since passed. it watches the machine continue without the maker, into a world of decayed automation. forever stuck doing pointless jobs, in heaven, in hell, in machinery. this world runs with no one at the helm, only the gears and cogs left behind that are rusting down into a catastrophic failure
