UNITED STATES SENATOR DOESNT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHINA AND SINGAPORE
📹 U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) questions the CEO of TikTok U.S., Shou Zi Chew, a Singaporian national, about his nationality and affiliations with the "Chinese Communist Party," an entity that does not actually exist.
Chew repeatedly states his nationality and history as a Singaporian, having served in the military, and mentions his loyalty to his home country before Senator Cotton begins ranting about the events of Tiananmen Square in 1989.

How much money can we send as aid before our economy officially collapses US challenge.
Idk man, but I think Americans should really be mad. Like furious. I don't think some of you grasp the idea that all your hard earned money are constantly funneled to other countries. Countries who have health care and free housing, while your society is on the verge of absolute collapse. You may not care about the fact that people are being slaughtered by your money, but maybe you should think about how your economy will collapse in on itself very soon. The US govt will never admit they're printing valueless money, so maybe, just maybe you lot gotta start being concerned. Because when recession hits you, you'll be the ones on the streets not your govt or the countries to which the money is being sent.
It is your children that will be forced into labour at a young age, as a consequence of this. It is your precious consumerism that will dissipate as a consequence. It is your lives that will be sacrificed as a consequence. Rich people and govts don't care that you'll have no future. Fascism and extreme capitalism are not things of the past. You lot are living through it. So good luck on surviving while staying silent.

A coworker posted this on FB and I cannot even begin to describe all the ways the statement is wrong.

Most of these wars were fought for evil, selfish reasons.
Stealing land from the Indigenous peoples.
Fighting for the right to continue owning people as chattel.
Interfering where we were not wanted, installing oppressive governments and then dipping out when we've gotten what we wanted (Money/resources and power. It's always about fucking money and power), leaving people to deal with the chaos we've created.
ThEy DiEd FoR yOuR fReEdOm.
Bullshit
I'm not free.
Women in this country are not free.
My BIPOC, neurodivergent, disabled, and queer siblings are not free.
The starving, homeless, bullet-riddled children in this country are not free.
People dying of easily treatable or curable conditions because healthcare is for-profit and viewed as a privilege instead of a human right are not free.
I love my country, I really do. And the people who live here.
But I'm disappointed and disgusted by it right now.
For real, god damn the United States of America.

Listen, if a Bad President can come in and take away our rights and we're dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights.
If politicians can take or distribute them, then they're not "inalienable" and they're not "rights."
We don't have inalienable rights we have conditional privileges, divvied out according to the whims of whoever currently holds the reins.
And if we want to have actual rights, then we must build a system in which no one has the power to take them away to begin with.

I have to hand it to Donald Trump, I didn’t think the sequel to the 1932 Great Emu War would be a trade war against the penguin nation but he truly continues to be an innovator in the stupidity industry

They're trying so hard to make this a culture war thing instead of a class consciousness moment.

So this was a pre-planned (and likely paid for by the Kremlin) show: to invite Zelenskyy, scold him like a kindergartener in front of the press, present him with an unreasonable "deal" - an ultimatum - knowing full well he will refuse it (as anyone in this position would). And then tell the world: "Look, our mighty Orange King could've ended this horrible war in a day, but this poorly-dressed, warmongering, ungrateful twat just doesn't want peace! It's not our fault, we did what we could!"
The show is so cheap, so transparent, yet still effective for so many brainless people.

Transcript:
“BREAKING: A constitutional amendment has been filed allowing President Trump to seek a 3rd term in office.
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice."
It was filed by Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN).
Don’t let this slip by unnoticed. This is not just “one extra term”, it’s a warning shot. It’s a red flag. It’s an omen.
They are slowly turning up the heat in the pan. Do not be the frog who sits denying it’s getting hotter.
One extra term will become two, two will become three, and three will eventually give way to lifelong reign of each president.
Fight. Fight for God’s sake.
Contact your local representative of congress. Convince them we do not want this.
We are going to end up in a dictatorship.
@ikiyou
Please help spread this. I don’t usually get political and I don’t usually ask for assistance but this is important and you have more reach.

THE US STILL OWES NICARAGUA REPERATIONS SINCE 1986 ICJ DECISION
Tumblr media
Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has called on the United States to fulfill its obligations under International Law and to pay the $12 Billion in reparations owed to it under a 1986 International Court of Justice ruling.
The International Court of Justice is a UN sponsored platform to resolve international disputes between Nation-states.

This ICJ ruling was made in 1986 after years of the United States sponsoring a dirty war responsible for tens of thousands of Nicaraguan deaths, an attempted genocide against pro-Sandinista Nicaraguan civilians, the destruction of the country's Infrastructure and an economic blockade that thoroughly destroyed the Nicaraguan economy causing untold suffering among citizens.

In the 1986 ICJ ruling, the Judges wrote:

The United States in reality should owe reparations to countries all across the world for its horrific Imperialist Foreign Policy: Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, Iran, Syria, Libya, Granada, the DPRK, Sri Lanka, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras and more.

A declassified World War II-era government guide to “simple sabotage” is currently one of the most popular open source books on the internet. The book, called “Simple Sabotage Field Manual,” was declassified in 2008 by the CIA and “describes ways to train normal people to be purposefully annoying telephone operators, dysfunctional train conductors, befuddling middle managers, blundering factory workers, unruly movie theater patrons, and so on. In other words, teaching people to do their jobs badly.”  Over the last week, the guide has surged to become the 5th-most-accessed book on Project Gutenberg, an open source repository of free and public domain ebooks. It is also the fifth most popular ebook on the site over the last 30 days, having been accessed nearly 60,000 times over the last month (just behind Romeo and Juliet).

This column is being written before the voting in Tuesday’s national election has concluded, so obviously I have no knowledge of the election’s outcome (but I expect a clean sweep for Trump and the GOP). When it comes to the subject of Israel, however, it matters little who is elected president—except I expect a Trump administration would be far more hawkish in the Middle East than Harris. But Harris would be more hawkish in Ukraine. So, there you go. Wars must go on. Regardless of who wins the White House, the U.S. proxy wars in both Ukraine and Israel are … Continue reading →
