Republicans and Democrats are not opposites. They are not arch-rivals. They are not different species fighting over the same resources.
They are siblings, fighting over who gets the larger piece of pie.

I'M BLACK!!! NOT PEOPLE OF COLOUR
I’m fucking angry about these 2024 election results because, once again, they show how little Black lives mean to this country’s political system. We turn out and cast our votes, hoping for change, hoping for leaders who will fight for us—and yet, the policies that follow rarely benefit us. The pattern of empty promises and token gestures toward racial justice is clear, and I’m tired of it. When Black Americans show up to vote, we’re not asking for favors or handouts. Fucking asking or demanding justice, safety, and equality—basic rights we’re constantly denied. We’ve been waiting for meaningful progress on police reform, education, and economic equity, but the message from Washington is loud and clear: our struggles aren’t a priority. After generations of dedication to this democracy, we deserve more than these weak attempts at change. The constant grouping of Black people under “people of color” or “marginalized communities” dilutes our experience and fucking minimizes the depth of the issues we face. This election has made it painfully clear that leaders will keep overlooking Black lives if they can get away with it. They’ll use blanket terms and pass watered-down policies, but they won’t put in the work to deliver real, transformative change. I am fucking done being patient. Black Americans are more than a voting bloc or a talking point. We’re a force in this country, and our needs to our history and experiences. We deserve policies tailored to our community, not diluted with vague, broad “diversity” initiatives that don’t target the root of our issues. Until Black lives are seen, valued, and respected by our political leaders, my fucking anger won’t subside. This fucking election, like so many before it, proves that the fight is far from over. We need leaders who actually see us and stand for us, not ones who just offer lip service when it’s time to collect fucking our votes.

I find it ironic that when people think of pricing they think it's mostly coming from one party that is mentioning it that supposedly is known for only caring about the money ways actually pricing should(is) to be cared for all around outside of whom you like as a political member pricing happens in everyday person's average lives no matter the political spectrum of the point to afford food gas everyday utensils even to just entertaining things like buying art supplies and digital devices not to mention traveling so yes it does depend on in some way on whom is going to be in the white house but to regular everyday person it doesn't matter when it comes too politically yet to this day and age it does

Maybe US democracy wouldn't be sliding down a hill if our two major political parties weren't "Fascism" and "Tenured journalism professor from Connecticut who thinks Black women are hot but is married to a white woman".

If it makes any of you feel better, Donald Trump will have an uphill battle to change the constitution. He will need:
-2/3 of Senators (67)
-2/3 of the House of Representatives (290)
-3/4 of the states (38)
In 2026, 33 senate seats will be up for grabs, and we’ll be able to vote for people who are against Trump and his ideals.
Breathe and remain hopeful because it’s not over. We can still fight and make Trump’s last four years hell.

before we get an official announcement on who is replacing biden as the nominee, im just going to put this out there: do not mess this up. i don't care how little you like politics. i don't care if this new nominee isn't your first choice.
our alternative is trump. third party splits the votes, and abstaining is just going to fuck the entire united states over. your vote (AND support) matters, and i better see anyone who doesn't want trump to be elected and the United States to become a fascist, authoritarian regime throwing their full support behind this new nominee.
we have three months to go. we're in crunch time. if you don't want to lose your rights, support this new nominee with everything you've got.
edit: just in case this somehow wasn't obvious, this is NOT the post to be a pessimist on. don't say we're fucked. say TRUMP is fucked. we can't go back and change the nomination timeline, but we can absolutely support our new nominee and ensure they get elected.

Whatever happens, two things remain true: 1. Trump might be distancing himself from Project 2025, but his Agenda 47, which is on his website, is basically the same thing. 2. Third party voting is useless without ranked choice voting; it's mathematically impossible to elect a third party candidate. DO NOT SPLIT THE VOTE.

i'm a huge fan of Republicans, conservatives or however you want to be politically labeled choosing country over party. please let me see more stories. it's a brave thing to do this. even if you voted for him in both 2016 & 2020 but you changed your mind now, WELCOME. it's a massive deal to get out of any cult successfully & MAGA is no different. being filled with anger & hatred, & fear is intoxicating & honestly easier than choosing to do the right thing. i'm glad you saw the light.
check your registration status often & don't stop talking about Project 2025. they can pretend they're distancing themselves from it as much as they want but it's absolutely their policy. we can do this though if we just show up & VOTE. we got this 💙

"The Torment Knob is set at Ten! We need to vote in the Torment Knob Controller who will turn it down to Nine or else we'll end up with the one who wants to turn it up to Eleven! What do you mean we shouldn't have a Torment Knob to begin with? That's loser talk! That's the kind of talk that will get the Torment Knob turned up to Eleven! Are you some kind of Elevener, trying to siphon votes away from our Hallowed Niner?"

[Image ID: The Destiel confession meme edited so that Dean answers 'Tim Walz is Kamala Harris' running mate.' to Cas' 'I love you'. /End ID]
This is according to a source that told CNN, he has not been formally called by Harris yet. CNN link
EDIT: It is now official!
Tim Walz is the one who started the tactic of calling Republicans 'weird', by the way.
Tim Walz is in his second term as the Minnesota governor. He is 60 years old and a former high school teacher.
Memorable information (click the text for its source)
Walz is "a champion of Democratic causes, including union organizing, workers’ rights and a $15-an-hour minimum wage."
eliminated nearly all of Minnesota's abortion restrictions
protected gender-affirming care for transgender youth
legalized the recreational use of marijuana
"free school meals to children, free tuition at public colleges for students whose families earn less than $80,000 a year, a paid family and medical leave program, health insurance regardless of immigration status, gun violence prevention, abortion rights protections, voting rights expansion and more"
Feel free to add more.
