I had an amazing photo shoot with Sarah Rayburn from 11:11 Photography the other day! The theme was duality. And it’s time to announce to you, inner circle friend, that I’m in the later stages of writing and narrating my book of original poetry. This book has been in the works for a long time now. This photo shoot is a dream come true.
Its name is “The open vault” and I’m self publishing a paper copy and self narrated audio books under my name, Camilla Cushing.
I’m working hard to get it published on Audible and have the physical copy be for sale or to borrow from many places in person like from libraries and book stores.
I had so much fun! I’m so looking forward to see all of the pictures as this is just a sneak peak.

OP: What is the one thing that broke your mind when the Americans came in? Let's talk about it and see if it's different.
Cnetizens and tiktok imigrants begin to exchange facts mainly in clothing, food, housing, transportation, and people's livelihood. They realized that things were very different from what they had heard before. So they call it 对账单dui zhang dan, lit. checking accounting items with eachother (a chinese accounting term). XHS has a trending tag 中美对账 (chinese and americans check account), if you click in it, you'll see a lot of posts both by cnetizens and tt imigrants. And most cnetizens are shocked by what americans told them, and vice versa.
video translation cr 阿美莉真卡

Some Cnetizens don't believe it and feel that the Americans in the video are trolling, these Cnetizens say that when they were studying and working in the US, they saw many Americans were doing very well, living in nice apartments or neighborhoods with villas. Other Americans tell them that it's because either these people's parents are just rich, or they became upper middle class by working hard. They explained to cnetizens that the state runs on debt and loans. If you get a great job at a big company, then you can work for a few years and pay off your loans all at once and your quality of life leaps and bounds, and a lot of people have succeeded that way, so there will be people who keep trying. But if you lose your job, can't afford to pay those taxes that last a lifetime, deplete your savings, and can't pay off your debt, you're likely to lose your house and become homeless.
And then this is how Cnetizens comforted Americans

You know what? You know what I think?
I think that if we lived as we were meant to, in larger intimate ("extended family") groups and with more shared labor and time to do it (UBI NOW) people like me would not feel so useless and burdensome because there would be people around to help and to do what neurodivergent people can't while making valuable space for the neurodivergent to do what they ARE good at.
The way we live right now, all right, the way we live right now forces units of two adults to be able to do EVERYTHING or PAY to have someone come do it for them. I have to do the housework. I have to do it! But I am having to do a million different things and most of them I am not good at. I suck at them.
I wouldn't feel like shit, okay, if I had more than one other person around who was not a child and who could do the things I can't, like do the yard and cook and do repairs and basic maintenance; and someone else to split everything else that I like but is too much for me. It would free me to do what I am good at and enjoy. Cleaning, as in the sink and toilet, the windows, the blinds. Taking out trash. Folding, hanging, and sorting laundry.
But because all the shit I can do often relies on other shit being done first, and I can't do or have trouble doing those things, the shit I can do often can't be done. And even the shit I can do, I can't do ALL of it. So I can't keep up, and things get very bad.
We aren't meant to live like this. We are not meant to live like this.
That thought hurts so much because being able to flee the birth family is integral to survival for so many people. I'm so afraid that living in larger family groups would create more opportunities for, say, queer kids to be isolated, rejected, bullied, and abused. But if we gave people enough money to survive, and stopped considering children the property of their parents with no system in place to help them escape bad situations except a system that is often just as bad, just different.
I'm aware that communes and collectives aren't all that successful and are kind of a joke. I don't mean that. I mean a fundamental shift to multigenerational families where taking in "strays" (which my family did) is also normalized so people escaping abuse into existing households was accepted, with these families centered in maybe a couple of different larger residences so not everyone has to buy and maintain their own fucking washing machine and vacuum cleaner, and so people can benefit from large group meals that yield leftovers, and so child and elder care can also be centralized.
Then disabled people and the neurodivergent and sick and injured people, and pregnant people, and grieving people, would not have to either labor through all those stressors or consign themselves to living off an unlivable pittance or being put under legal guardianship.
I'm not saying anything new. People live like this in other parts of the world and maybe it sucks and I am wrong. But I'm just really mad right now because I can either do laundry or clean the sink but not both, and I really think we could improve society somewhat by making it so I did not have to choose one without sacrificing the other.
#im feverish feeling (not a real fever just malaise that i have no other way to describe) from the IBS (which can affect you like that#)#and i don't actually want to do ANYTHING#i would have to even living with others but it would be easier#at the very least i wouldn't have had to clean the microwave earlier which is hard because my arms are like the size of a meerkat's#and i can only reach the back with my fingertips#where is my BF in all this?#WORKING FULL TIME WITH BACK PAIN#yes i AM going to want him to have to do as little as possible when he comes home#he's neurodivergent too and struggles with the same shit#it's all a mess#we are doing way better i didn't realize how deep a drain three very sick cats were#but there's still only two of us#if you are disabled physically OR MENTALLY you should at least get in-home household help once a week or so#there's places that do that but the limitations are usually severe and always rule me out#because im not single im not an elder im not a veteran and im not physically disabled#if we have to ration that sort of thing i can see how on the whole it is more caring to allocate those resources to for example elders#but the fact that i celebrate what help there is doesn't mean i don't get mad that more people can't access it#is2g if i was functional enough snd physically sound enough i would start a charity that did intervention cleaning for people like us#who have fallen behind and can't catch up but can MAINTAIN#and who helped people clean for a few months during and after an illness pregnancy trauma major loss etc. so they could stay on their feet

a pro-Palestine movement called "Abandon Harris" in order to "punish her & the party" is absolutely wild. what the US is doing is not okay; this kind of impassioned response now is a little weird mainly because it's during election season.
yes, absolutely criticize our political leaders as long as we're able to. pressure them for better things. emphasize that certain things need to stop. but this "movement"? where they offer no realistic alternatives & are working hard to attack a woman of color to "punish her"? it's a very fine line. i don't hear this rhetoric for the men let alone trump. why isn't HE getting "punished"??
i'm a white woman. it's not my place to be some kind of white "savior." i'm just pointing out it's strange. besides her being non-white, she's also a woman. another point (& i'm not saying they deserve to go through a genocide because of this... but honestly it's not great) is that Palestinians are also pro-women-are-second-class-citizens so anyone using the language of "punishing" a woman is absolutely gross.
like i said, they don't use that language to attack trump. they don't use that language to attack members of Congress who are also anti-Palestine. the only time i'm seeing this is them attacking the campaign of a presidential candidate who is a woman of color. yes, she's currently vp, but these same protestors also don't seem to know how the government works or just ignores reality.
am i splitting hairs? maybe. they're so passionate about this & it's admirable because of that, but i'm always questioning: does it seem like they're being particularly harsh to her due to misogynoir? it's a fine line that's for sure. i'm not saying to not protest but people also need to be realistic. between this & protestors lashing out at those who care about out domestic issues it doesn't feel too great.
a movement like this specific one feels sus, though. like they're trying too hard to divide us to make sure trump wins. i hope that's not the case bit so many leftists also love jill stein who is a putin puppet & doesn't care for us at all. y'all aren't the perfect individuals who never fall for propaganda you think you are. we all are susceptible. be pragmatic & reasonable. try not to let feelings & ego make such an important decision for you. this election is not a normal one.

As written in the Times article:
> Donald was still Donald, of course. He bounced from subject to subject—disability to the stock market and back to disability. But promisingly, Donald seemed genuinely curious regarding the depth of medical needs across the U.S. and the individual challenges these families faced. He told the secretary and the assistant secretary to stay in touch with our group and to be supportive.
> After I left the office, I was standing with the others near the side entrance to the West Wing when Donald’s assistant caught up with me. “Your uncle would like to see you,” she said.
> Azar was still in the Oval Office when I walked back in. “Hey, pal,” Donald said. “How’s everything going?”
> “Good,” I said. “I appreciate your meeting with us.”
> “Sure, happy to do it.”
> He sounded interested and even concerned. I thought he had been touched by what the doctor and advocates in the meeting had just shared about their journey with their patients and their own family members. But I was wrong.
> “Those people . . . ” Donald said, trailing off. “The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”
> I truly did not know what to say. He was talking about expenses. We were talking about human lives. For Donald, I think it really was about the expenses, even though we were there to talk about efficiencies, smarter investments, and human dignity......
---
> At every opportunity, we let my aunts and uncles know how grateful we were for the medical fund for William’s care and recovery. We sent pictures and updates, as we had in the past. We got no personal responses, which was the norm. It was the dedicated support and genuine love of caregivers that helped us the most.
> Uncle Robert died in 2020, and the medical fund for William continued. It was enormously helpful with our home-care costs and medical expenses, and we were always grateful to my father’s siblings for contributing. But even before Robert’s death, their interest had seemed to begin waning. My cousin Eric, who was the administrator, called me to say the fund was running low. Donald was the only one contributing consistently. Eric said he’d been getting some resistance from Maryanne, Elizabeth, and Ann Marie, Robert’s widow. I really didn’t look forward to these calls.
> “Why don’t you call Donald?” Eric said. “Talk to him about it.”
> I thanked Eric for the heads-up and promised I would.
> Soon thereafter, I was up at Briarcliff Manor, home of the Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, N.Y. Donald happened to be there.
> He was talking with a group of people. I didn’t want to interrupt. I just said hi on my way through the clubhouse. I called him later that afternoon, and he answered.
> I got him up to speed on what Eric had told me. I said I’d heard the fund for William was running low, and unfortunately, the expenses certainly were not easing up as our son got older. In fact, with inflation and other pressures, the needs were greater than they’d been. “We’re getting some blowback from Maryanne and Elizabeth and Ann Marie. We may need your help with this. Eric wanted me to give you a call.”
> Donald took a second as if he was thinking about the whole situation.
> “I don’t know,” he finally said, letting out a sigh. “He doesn’t recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.”
> Wait! What did he just say? That my son doesn’t recognize me? That I should just let him die?
> Did he really just say that? That I should let my son die . . . so I could move down to Florida?
> Really?
> I’m usually pretty good at getting my head around things that other people say, even when I don’t agree with them. But this was a tough one. This was my son.
> Maybe I shouldn’t have been surprised to hear Donald say that. It wasn’t far off from what he’d said that day in the Oval Office after our meeting with the advocates. Only that time, it was other people’s children who should die. This time, it was my son.

Donald Trump still hates American veterans.
In an interview with the Atlantic, Mark Milley, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, said Trump had been irritated after Luis Avila – who lost a leg and suffered brain damage after an IED attack in Afghanistan – sang at Milley’s 2019 welcome ceremony. “Why do you bring people like that here? No one wants to see that, the wounded,” Milley said Trump told him after the ceremony. Milley told the Atlantic that Trump said Avila should never appear in public again.
Trump is a hideous-looking narcissistic draft dodger. HE is somebody who should never appear in public again.
On Sunday, Buttigieg – who was a lieutenant in the US navy reserve and served a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2014 – told CNN that Trump’s alleged order was “just the latest in a pattern of outrageous attacks [by Trump] on people who keep this country safe”. Military members wounded in combat, Buttigieg said, “deserve respect and a hell of a lot more than that from every American, and definitely from every American president”.
Trump the draft dodger demanded Soviet-style military parades and filled the Oval Office with battle flags. It was a high profile variation of stolen valor.
Trump previously called Americans who died in action "losers" and "suckers".
Trump disparaged U.S. military casualties as ‘losers,’ ‘suckers,’ report says
Donald "Bone Spur" Trump also took a pass on a visit to a US military cemetery in France because it was raining and he didn't want to get his bizarre hair wet.
French army trolls Trump for not getting his hair wet at WWI cemetery
Disrespecting veterans is not a way to encourage enlistments.

The prices of groceries are absolutely insane. And it’s all because of corporate greed! I’m so poor right now that I’m really struggling to just stay fed and to pay my basic bills. I fucking hate this country sometimes. They don’t protect us from the corporations and their greed at all. They just work us to the bone and exploit us constantly and it’s the status quo so it’s rarely talked about, let alone criticized, but I’m at my wits end and am so frustrated it hurts.
I’m too disabled from the abuse that I survived while being in the Navy to work a traditional job and my 100% total and permanent service related disability pension doesn’t come close to covering all the expenses that I have. And I’ve cut out damn near every expense that I don’t absolutely need and I’m still so poor that at the end of every month I’m broke for days. And that’s assuming I can even pay all of my bills as some are late right now because I just didn’t have the money to pay them.
I’m feeling so sad and defeated. It’s hard to not feel like this is some personal failure but I know that this goes way beyond just me.
To everyone else trying to survive until their next pay day, I see you, I love you, and we’re going to get through this somehow. It’s going to get better. At least I need to believe that. Fuck man.

Edit: With the amount of notes this has received I want to make it clear (since people who have reblogged and added their own opinions to this, one saying to completely shun studies in total that garnered a lot of attention) that while these studies specifically geared toward veterans are meant to help and were possibly requested from the previous administration, extreme caution should still be advised and you should do your research as others have suggested.
Our dearest Trump has allowed ending of employment for whatever reason now regardless of disability, race, gender, sexuality etc., we all know what Meta has turned into and what the current administration probably has to do with that and definitely has to do with the TikTok ban... I'm just saying do not be surprised if somehow these records end up being used for more harm than good if they just decide it'll be a... fun weekend hobby.
I want people to make informed decisions regardless of what they decide! But they have made it very clear on the kind of people they are and what they will do to harm any sort of minority. Please consider that when you call this "unnecessary fear mongering", as well. They are already erasing valid data/searches from social medias and valuable sources. The most important thing is safety.

Walking away, when one can, is POWERFUL.
I left my naval career as an Arabic linguist and Petty Officer third class CTI in the US Navy and it saved my life. Zero exaggeration. I was contracted to stay. I had two years left on my US Navy contract as a CTI. I was living in the barracks on base. I was existing within an invisible gilded cage and was STUCK with PREDATORS (multiple) and it genuinely felt like the only escape possible was death.
I almost killed myself so many times I literally couldn’t count them if I tried to give a concise number. I remember how I would write poetry to myself on my notes app on my phone (my only escape beside my car) to keep from exploding and imploding simultaneously.
But I’m a fucking survivor and a warrior dammit and I was not dying like that. I refused to let me be the end of me. My predators and abusers expected me to literally lie down and die. Quietly. They didn’t account for my audacity.
I was loud about how I was barely hanging on. I told doctors and leadership, basically everyone who might have a reason to know it. I advocated for myself so loudly and feircely that I was dying and could not “handle it” for a year (A FUCKING YEAR) before I was cut loose in April of 2019. At the time I was 80% service connected disabled from the VA. Now, I’m 100% service connected disabled from the VA.
I’m too disabled to work any of the intel jobs that I would need a security clearance to possibly do. So I left my life as a US sailor/ CTI/ Arabic Linguist and NSA intel employee behind.
Now a days, I’m an independent artist. I’m a home owner. I’m working on many projects that will open up streams of income once their posted or open to the public. I do still struggle to make ends meet but I finally remembered and now know that I am wealthy and rich and am very deserving of luxury and comfort and that I will manifest myself into being a multimillionaire. But my most precious belonging is that I’m alive. I fucking survived. And every one of my abusers who tried to destroy me failed. I fucking won the war and secured myself inner and outer peace.
I felt like sharing.
Thanks for caring enough to read it if you did.
When we’re new to adulthood, it doesn’t immediately occur to all of us that you’re almost always allowed to leave a situation, because growing up we’re forced to stay in situations until someone dismisses us and/or takes us home, or if we do leave on our own accord there’s someone waiting at home to say “we don’t quit in this family!” Boring party? You can leave. You don’t like the lecture? You can walk out. New doctor not working out? You can end the appointment, you don’t need to wait for them to dismiss you. Bad date? You can just go home. Leaving a situation prematurely might have consequences, but unless you’re under arrest or serving prison time, it’s pretty much always allowed.

the attacks on DEIA are so blatantly diabolical that the mental gymnastics i see people pulling in order to justify it to themselves and others are infuriating. mind you, some of these people i am related to, and it hurts watching them fall for this mess bc i know they are not malicious. i know they misunderstand the purpose of DEIA and do not have the forethought to research what its real-life impacts are instead of going w whatever Republicans and Libertarians are saying… but that is also infuriating.
DEIA is not anti-White, anti-heterosexual, anti-cisgender, anti-male, anti-neurotypical, or any other goofiness the right tries to spin. it isn’t a secretive agenda, it holds a very transparent concept: correct the wrongs of our past, which (generally speaking) still significantly harm/restrict people of marginalized groups in modern-day, by making it harder for those in positions of power to discriminate against people in the workforce and in education. that’s it. there’s no wool being pulled over anyone. the goal is to make it equitable and fair for everyone and destroy this restrictive and regressive ‘higher class White boy’s club’ culture that is discriminatory, hostile, and dismissive to everyone that isn’t them, regardless of how qualified one might be.
letter breakdown: (D) you are advocating for less diversity, therefore less places will accept people who aren’t like you. (E) you are advocating for no equity, so that disadvantaged people’s remain disadvantaged and the playing field is never evened out. (I) you are advocating against inclusion, so you are advocating for exclusion. this will inevitably and disproportionately hurt people who do not fall under the majority (straight, Christian, gender-conforming, White, able-bodied, neurotypical). (A) you are fighting against accessibility, so you clearly do not give a fuck about the rights of disabled, chronically ill, and neurodivergent human beings. this all includes the veterans of war that you claim to care so dearly about… yes, veterans are protected under DEIA measures, where otherwise they would be abandoned. DEIA measures also directly trace back to the Civil Rights Movement era of the 50s/60s—they are not new. names and concepts just evolve over time. DEIA started with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which made way for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), opened in July of 1965.
we can say discrimination in the workplace/academia is illegal all we want. people still do illegal shit daily. it doesn’t matter if smth is illegal on paper if it is not enforced—the law then becomes irrelevant. affirmative action (DEIA) is making an active and consistent effort to enforce anti-discrimination laws so that they stop remaining irrelevant… bc they have been for quite some time! employers will make up excuses instead of telling the truth (admitting they dislike women, POC, LGBTQ+ folk, etc. in spaces they deem as theirs), bc they know their statements are unlikely to be tested. DEIA ensures they are tested.
DEIA’s mission is to make the world fairer, safer, and more joyful for people of marginalized groups, and certain people want to take that away from them. these people often hold prejudiced beliefs against these groups (whether subconscious or not), so they fall for all the negative lies spread by right-wing propaganda. it’s confirmation bias. in the same breath, they get angry when they’re called a bigot.
anti-DEIA sentiment amongst politicians is a distraction. again, they are using the biases of civilians to further divide us so that we are too busy in-fighting to look up at them in their ivory towers and question why we allow elementary schoolers to be massacred, why our middle schoolers can’t read or do basic multiplication, high schoolers can’t write essays or figure out the difference between an academic source and a magazine, why basically everyone under the age of thirty has considered suicide, and why uni students are charged $15k-$30k+ for a single term while doing unpaid internships and working minimum-wage jobs w pay still stuck in 1999.
tearing down everyone else will not make our groceries, gasoline, insurance, or rent affordable. success for communities we aren’t a part of are not personal attacks on us. this is not a sport, the “other side” winning is not us losing… and there really are no sides other than the working class (all of us) vs the 1% (politicians/lobbyists/billionaires). if we would all stop fucking hating each other for one fucking second we could get something done for once as a country. fuck. i am tired of this bullshit.

Do Not Engage With The Bait Directly
Instead, respond to it in broad, general terms. Dissect it, scrutinize it, ridicule it, call it out, or use it to illustrate systemic issues—but never engage with the post or comment directly. Doing so only fuels the orange clown’s omnipresence, which is precisely what he thrives on.

As a veteran and a proud hater of terrorists, dictators, authoritarians, fascists, rapists, traitors, and mobsters, let me make something crystal clear: absolutely nothing that bloated, diarrhea-orange blob of coagulated Cheeto paste masquerading as a "leader" has ever done—or promised to do—has been or ever will be beneficial to me, my fellow veterans, or my brothers and sisters in service. This includes even those too blind, too brainwashed, or too willfully ignorant to see through his paper-thin, jerky-tanned skin or remember the oaths we all took. For those of us who still understand what that oath means, it wasn’t some empty recitation. We swore to protect this country and its Constitution precisely from criminals like him and the terrorist cults that prop him up—"enemies foreign [AND DOMESTIC]." Read that last part slowly if the syllables are too complicated for your Cheeto-cult-addled brain.
No one, absolutely no one, owes you or your propagandist, bootlicking, cultist ilk a shred of gratitude. The audacity—no, the delusional entitlement—of you to demand it is laughable. What people actually owe you is a final nail in the coffin of your regressive, petulant tantrum of a movement, so you and your pathetic lot can fade into the dark, irrelevant corners of history where you’ve always belonged.
You are not supreme. You’re not special. You’re not outsmarting anyone but yourselves, getting duped—over and over again—by a con man who is the literal embodiment of the lowest common denominator. You’re a collective of entitled trolls, too stubborn to accept the reality that your so-called savior isn’t just a failure; he’s your failure. You fell for it. Again. And instead of self-reflection, you double down, dragging the rest of us into your dystopian delusions. In short: take your propaganda and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. The rest of us are too busy fighting for a future untainted by your pitiful need to worship mediocrity wrapped in a spray-tanned con job. The history books won’t be kind to you, and they shouldn’t be.
